    That doesn't mean it's available to someone simply because of their age, Jim - the sprit of the eligibility criteria (especially, but not only, the "Is my institution eligible?" section) is clear enough. If eligibility was only about being of a certain age, it wouldn't be called an student discount; and questions like whether a student's institution was eligible, would be irrelevant.
    "Student and teacher discounts are available to individual teachers, students, and staff members".
    Not "to individual teachers and any 13 year old or older kid".
    Being able also to use the software for non-educational purposes is obviously just a practical, common sense "easement" to the conditions of the educational licence - probably because such a restriction would be unenforceable.

  • Upgrade eligibility extended after old device transfer to another family member

    In July 2013, I transferred an almost 2 year old device from one family member to another(a son). The eligibility for upgrade at a discount on his account line was then extended by a year following the old device transfer to his account line even though the device was not new, to him or to our account.  I do not understand how or why this happened.  I also don't know if I am asking this question in the correct place to get a response and corrective action from Verizon Wireless.  The link to email customer support on the My Verizon login site has apparently been removed.  Thank you for any assistance or help you may provide.

    How do i complain about having no use of iphone whilst transferring data & waiting for updates and used a big chunk of my mobile intenet allowance as had it plugged into laptop all day!-therefore to find out if eligable for compensation?.

    Nothing is ever as easy as it should be, though I've no idea what you were doing that took so long. Takes at most 5 mins to insert a SIM card, choose a language and activate the phone. At that point it is working. Another 5-10 mins should get you connected to your email account. You can add media & apps when you're not busy doing something else, and the phone can still make & receive calls while you're doing that!
    The web is geared towards always on all you can eat broadband. If you run mobile broadband with a data cap or escalating charges then you need to manage the usage carefully, it is nobody else's problem.
    Sorry if I've come over a trifle harsh on your first visit here, but these forums are for users to help each other resolve technical issues. However badly your first day setting things up went there is nothing to be done about it now, A little research, or a chat with a knowledgeable friend or colleague, or getting the phone set up at the store would have made it easy. Chalk it up to experience and move on.

    Hello, I am trying to find where you can check online your current eligibility status for being an elite or elite plus member for the upcoming year.  It used to be really easy to find, being on almost every page you looked at, and now it doesn't seem to exist.  Where can I find that information in my account page?

  • An enquirey concerning eligibility for possible 'upgrade' purchase

    Hi everyone...
    I recently have purchased a valid and legitimate (brand new and sealed) version of Adobe Premiere from a reseller on Ebay.
    The version in question is Premiere 6.0 and it was won via a bid. Giving that no one else made any bids, I got it for a complete steal.
    As I mentioned... The version is legit with a genuine license, and I obv have proof of my purchase via paypal receipt and other related emails. It was also purchased from a proffesional reseller.
    So my question is... Do I qualify to be able to purchase an 'Upgrade' version of the newest Premier Pro?

    states that to qualify, you just have to own a single user retail license for said software, have evidence of purchase and a registered seriel number.
    I do have all of these things... However I'm not sure how tangible my eligibility for an 'upgrade' purchase is, due to the nature my purchase.
    Any elaboration on this issue is much appreciated ...

    The issue isn't whether the copy you have is legit or not. It's too far back to be eligible for the upgrade. From the upgrade requirements.....

  • Account issue with not being eligable to purchase gift cards

    All of a sudden I am unable to purchase gift cards on my itunes account.
    It gets me to the screen to buy and then I get a message saying this account is not eligable to purchase gift cards at this time.
    I have changed my credit card number but that does not help.
    I have been able to purchase gift cards in the past.
    Anyone got an answer to this?

    Contact the iTunes Store Customer Service department using the form on their Support page (select the category and subcategory closest to the issue you're reporting and you'll find either an "Express Lane" button - just follow the instructions to get to the contact form - or an "Email Us" button) and explain your situation to them. If they cannot fix the problem, they perhaps can at least explain it. With all the iTunes Store fraud going around, the iTunes Store may be limiting such purchases for some accounts due to suspected unauthorized access.

  • I have submitted my proof of eligibility but I still do not have my serial number

    Mine didn't come with a serial number. I bought a student/teacher edition of Creative Suite 6.  I've gone through and completed the validation process and was told I would recieve an email containing the serial number. I still haven't gotten that email. I've done the online chat (no help at all) and currently I'm making my 5th phone call to Adobe's call center. On all previous attempts, I've had to leave a call back number due to 2hour wait times(never got a call). I understand it gets busy but I feel there's a huge lack of support, or care, for anyone who bought an adobe product. I spent $349 on this... school and living is already too expensive for me. Please don't tell me I've wasted precious money on this.

    I am holding oracle 10g ocp and 10g r2 rac certified expert credential, before i book the ocm exam i need a clarification on my eligibility. As i already achieved the advance certification of RAC, additional whether i need to take 2 handon courses to eligible the ocm exam ? Please advise. I can't find this info inoracle website and also no response from [email protected] Appreciate your advise asap.

    ThanksFirstly there are 2 OCM exams currently (excluding upgrade exam) .....
    ie 10g DBA OCM
    and 11g DBA OCM
    The courses you present must be relevant to the exact version you wish to to take.
    Please bear in mind any hands on course submitted and accepted as submitted for obtaining DBA OCP cannot also be used for DBA OCM.
    I am a little worried that an OCM candidate cannot find the information, though perhaps [http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=159#3] does not make it clear. [http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=244#5] does make it clear, however this may be too difficult for OCM candidates to find without better links.

    I also have the same problem... Purchased a refurbished iPhone 4 from AT&T, case app said i was ineligible, called apple CS. First time I called they said to just wait and check for eligibility later, waited a week, app said no go. Called apple CS a second time, again they tell me I'm eligible, but this time they took my info and state that I have to send my proof of purchases to [email protected] That email address doesn't exist! I googled and came across [email protected] I sent all of my info there over a week ago, I have heard nothing back! I'm thinking I am going to have to call a third time...

    Using the student and teacher edition of Lightroom.  I have been able to check the status, and it was approved, however never received the email regarding the serial number. 

    Since you are residing in USA, you need to follow the procedures as mentioned below:

    The serial number will mailed to the Email ID that you have provided while uploading the proof of eligibility.

    I bought Adobe CS6 Design Standard Student Teacher Edition from Apple. It seems I have to prove my eligibility before I can recieve a serial number via email to activiate my product. How and where do I prove my student eligibility?

    If you are from Finland, you will probably have to submit all the stuff to your local reseller. This has nothing to do with the online verification for US and other customers. Check your regional S&T pages. Presumably you have to go through Sweden, because as far as I know that's where Adobe has it's support for Northern Europe. They will also give you the serial number.

  • New email login page scam advert - Beware.

    On 23rd December my other half saw an advert on the new email login page for a 14 day trial of something called RVTL Anti Aging cream, all you had to pay was the postage (£2.99). This is basically a scam as the 14 day clock starts as soon as you click and there is a nasty £95 surprise taken from your credit card 14 days later unless you cancel before. The £95 is not mentioned anywhere you can see it when you place the order.
    In our case with Christmas and New Year holidays the product did not even arrive until day 15 so there was no chance to cancel before the deadline. We called their service desk and was told bluntly that the 14 days had expired and they had taken the money. The bank also informed us they could not stop the transaction, although any future ones will be refused.
    The company names concerned seem to be  Sheridan Labs and JEM Marketing of Cranleigh in Surrey and Equinox Beauties operating from a PO box in Linlithgow.  I did a quick search yesterday when we realised what was going on and it seems to be a well known problem. My Norton anti-virus even flags some of their RVTL web pages as unsafe.
    I am very surprised and shocked that BT would allow such scammers to operate from the BT mail website and have asked BT for an explanation.

  • To all who ordered from att, and not getting emails, sold out.

    ok so i ordered my iphone 4 from att.com at approx 630 this morning..i used my visa debit card...there was a $1 hold on it followed shortly by the cost of the phone for me which was $422 after taxes since i wasnt eligable for the the early upgrade..well i have a order number and it shows up on the order details and everything but i never recieved a email confirmation like others mentioned they havnt recieved..i called att and told them what was going on and the customer service rep, who was the most helpful rep i have ever delt with in all honesty, said that the order was processed and that my order should be on time..she told me that their servers or what not are backed up and it might take a while to get the confirmation email and not to worry everything was ordered fine. she also confirmed the "rumor" about att being sold out of pre orders..she told me that anyone who ordered their phone after 430 eastern time would not recieve their iphone 4 on time, and would recieve it after june 25...
    glad waiting up was worth it for me at least...just thought i would let you all know what i was told

    I received my order confirmation email around 5:13 AM EST this morning from AT&T. Unfortunately, I entered my PIN incorrectly to transfer/port my VW number. I was told by an AT&T representative around 10:30 AM that my order would not be processed until the PIN was resubmitted correctly. My port status was finally confirmed around 2:30 PM. As of now my order status is "in progress" with all "quantity ordered"s. I'll have to call in and confirm that my order will be delivered on the 24th!
