Email subject automatically modified in Readsoft WebCycle (workflows)

Hello,
We are currently implementing Readsoft WebCycle solution to manage workflows prior to posting supplier invoices.
We are using the collective emails feature, which allows to send emails once a day to warn the approver of new invoices to process in the workflow.
There is a customizing step to define the subject for collective emails ( /COCKPIT/WI9 ).
However, even with the customizing done, when a collective email is created, the email subject is automatically set back to the standard ("WEB CYCLE: Retain 00000000000000 document").
Has anyone ever faced the same problem ?
How did you solve it ?

Looks like the appserver needs to grant relevant permission for the webapp. (Standalone java applications have full access to system resources and as such security is not an issue with them).
Can u try modifying the permissions in the server.policy file for your appserver (which by default is at <creator-install-dir>/SunAppServer8//domains/creator/config/server.policy)?
Add 'permission java.security.SecurityPermission "insertProvider.SunJSSE";' to the global grant section or in a 'grant codebase' section for the jar in question.

    I am creating a form in acrobat 9 and want the submit to email button to automatically use the information from one of the text fields as the subject title of the email. So when the client submits the form at the end the PO number they have used will automatically be the email subject. Is there any way to do this? I have found an example created using javascript but I am very much a novice with this so I don't know where to start with this? Any help would be greatly appreciated

  • Edit Workflow Mailer - Purchase Order Email Subject

    Hi,
    We have configured the workflow mailer to enable reminders to be sent out to approvers which relate to Purchase Order approvals that have not been responded to.
    However, as well as a reminder email being sent, there is also an email telling the approver that the previous email has been canceled. This has a the email subject prefixed with "Canceled:"
    Our problem is that users are seeing this and thinking that the Purchase Order has been cancelled. We therefore want to either edit the subject of this email, or stop it being sent.
    Any help/advice would be appreciated.

    I think this mail is sent by the workflow mailer using the item type System Mailer. This is auto generated notification when the notification itself is canceled or retired. You can customize the subject there based on the source.

    This is something you can not add at the moment. You can change the layout a bit of workflow notifications from the system but you can not change the subjects at this time to render a system tag like that.

    No, it is automatically added and can be edited out if you choose.

    Did anyone find how to use tag's or customise the Email subject line for outgoing system emails? (E.g invoice, quote, workflows etc)
    I've tried some tags like order id but they don't work.
    The reason we need to customise the subject line is because we use gmail and all the workflows have the same subject so they link together and you can't tell how many emails there are therefore often miss some. Plus all our workflow and system emails seem to be going to our spam so I thought if we could make it customised it would help.

    I use gmail, I have thunderbird and this does not happen. The UI interface for google does but you can also stop it from doing that in the admin settings I believe.
    Sme other good email clients for mac and oc, paid and free.
    You can create folders for go gmail itself and email clients with sorting rules too.
    Do not recall seeing guides for rendering tags in the email subject, net seen that and been using bc a long time.

    Thanks for your interaction and response.
    Actually I can to find out views and class details in CRM 7.0 by using F2 key..
    The UI component is CRMCMP_CCS_EML and view is CRMCMP_CCS_EML/MailBody. The implementation class is ZL_CRMCMP_C_MAILBODY_IMPL. Since all the page attributes are string, There is a context class ZCL_CRMCMP_C_MAILBODY_CTXT, But no context node (Like you mentioned type CN as in *CN00, *CN01) within page attribute.
    The main issue am facing here is that couldnu2019t figure out where to start the debugging for inbound mails where the subject field is truncated. I usually process inbound mails from SOIN transaction.
    Moreover subject field can have more than 40 characters in outgoing mail, but the inbound mail subject field limited to 40 character and rest of them truncated.
    Hope you understand my area of concern and provide me your input.

    For one of my requirement, the email subject and body has to be changed. For order confirmation and quotation, the standard behaviour of having the smartform name as the subject name should be changed and ther ehas to be a dynamic subject name. Similarly the email content should also be changed. Is this possible? Can anyone suggest me the steps?

    Could you please tell what method are you using to create emails?
    If it is using workflows then you can change the subject and mail body dynamically using parameters and expressions.
    If you are sending mail using an FM call, then also you can create dynamic subject and mail body.
    Please provide the details so that an appropriate solution could be provided.

    I got Avelsieve up and running on my 10.5.6 server. I set a vacation message and the subject of the email people emailing me get is "Auto: incoming email subject". I would like to be able to change the "Auto:" to "Out of Office AutoReply:".
    Can anyone tell me where I do that?

    As far as I know avelsieve does not support this. You will either have to modify avelsieve itself or edit the generated sieve scripts manually.
    If you look at the generated rules, you should see something like:
    vacation :days 1 text: your reply text
    Change it to:
    vacation :days 1 subject: your subject of choice text: your reply text
    When done, you need to compile the script with sievec:
    /usr/bin/cyrus/bin/sievec yourscriptfile defaultbc
    Note: If you start creating scripts manually, it is best to create new ones rather then modifying the scripts generated by avelsieve. avelsieve could get out of sync

I have tried looking for them in deleted items, even though I didn't throw any of them away, still cant find them. Never had this problem before. I'm pretty sure its a setting somewhere. Also tried expanding all conversations, no luck. Searching for the mails under the sent email address, no luck.
    I'm sure they are not deleted but have somehow been hidden by Mail. Very frustrating.

    I have found found out what has happened. I had requested a statement dating back to April 2012 from a supplier. They replied back with the latest statementof 2013 only but used the same subject heading as the previous monthly statements. Apple Mail automatically grouped these and I thought that they were sent altogether. As soon as I replied to the last email all other the previous emails ungrouped from the conversation leaving me lost as to where they had gone. They were all still sitting in my inbox but no longer part of the trcked conversation. I searched under the subject heading and all individual mails were all still there. (feeling stupid - )

    However, the subject of the email is, for instance, "P4012718-1"

       If you are using distribution list method for sending the mail for the spool list (as explained in the doc: Execute report automatically in back ground by periodically and send mail to user), then you may define the job in SM37 with the name you want to be the email subject. Suppose you define the job in SM36 as "MB52", then the email subject will be "Job MB52, Step 1"
       If you are sending the spool list through your own custom program, then you need to define the subject line in the program itself with the help of technical team.
