Eprint shows pending jobs - will not print

Suddenly my apps stopped printing - eprint shows pending jobs - event log reports 72236. No changes were made on my settings in months. All local and wireless printing from PC works - printer thinks its connected to the internet.

They are currently doing some updates on the server which may affect printing apps. You might try to power cycle the router and printer if you haven't done this already.

I have an 8620 that is enabled for web services.  The printer is listed on the HP Connected site.  I emailed a document to the email address on the printer and it is sitting in a status of "Sending to printer".  I also enabled the printer for Google Cloud Print and I have 2 jobs there claiming to be "In Progress".

    Hi @browetally,
Thank you for being an active member of the HP Support Forums.  I gather that you have ePrint jobs that are pending and have not printed on your Officejet 8620 printer.
Are the print jobs still pending?  If yes, please try the steps in The HP ePrint Print Job Did Not Print document.  If the print jobs are still stuck after attempting the steps in the ePrint trouble shooting document, please call HP’s Cloud Services at 1-855-785-2777 if you live in the USA/Canada region. • D110A Not Connected - Pending Jobs will not cancel

Brand new printer, no setup problems.  Tried printing a calendar from the App, failed.  Now there are pending jobs from the 3 failed calendar attempts as well as the .pdf I sent via email.  I did receive the "delayed" message reply when I sent the .pdf.
So far, not impressed at all because I haven't seen ePrint work.  My printer registered and printed the page with its email address.  Anyone have any idea why our printers are "Not Connected"?

    Tah-Dah!
Glad you worked it out.  No need to stand in the corner, we've all done something like that.

  • HP Laserjet 4100 will not print in Snow Leopard

Since I’ve installed Snow Leopard, I have not been able to print with my HP Laserjet 4100.
My set-up: new 24” iMac, many hard drives and more. Two devices: HP Color Laserjet 5550 and HP Officejet J5750 are connected to the iMac through a USB Hub. Although initially scanning did not work with the J5750, I was able to make that work once additional drivers were downloaded from HP. Both work fine.
I also have an older HP Laserjet 4100 which has been my steady workhorse for years. It only has Ethernet and serial port outlets. It is connected to an AT&T 2-Wired Ethernet Hub/DSL Modem (model 2701HG-B) that is connected to the iMac.
I’ve contacted HP and Apple about this problem. None of the three people I worked with at Apple could help and the HP representative was unsure if they could help but that it would cost me $40 to find out. According to HP website, since Apple Talk no longer exists, we are required to input the IP for the device. For the 4100, the IP address is 10.0.1.100. I tried this two ways: in the “Add Printer” window under “IP,” inputted as the IPP, and inputted as the HP Jetdirect Socket (as per the HP instructions). When this is done, the printer shows up when you give a print command. However, it does not show up in the “Add Printer” window under “default” or anywhere else.
Status: If I connect the 4100 Ethernet cable directly to the back of the iMac, the “Supply” level indicates the true level of toner in the 4100. However, it will not print. If I connect the 4100 Ethernet cable to the Ethernet hub, the supply level does not show nor can I print.
    Any suggestions?

Well, another week has gone by without a solution.
    Again, here is the problem:
I have a 24" iMac connected to a USB hub and an AT&T 2-Wire DSL/ethernet hub. When I upgraded to Snow Leopard 10.6.1 and now the update 10.6.2, the two printers on the USB hub work fine but the HP Laserjet 4100dtn does not print. This old printer has only ethernet or serial ports. I've downloaded and installed the HP driver updates from Apple and HP to no avail. According to HP, I must add the 4100 manually using its IP. I've followed the instructions while adding a printer to select IP- HP Jetdirect - Socket. The address of the printer is 10.0.1.100. When I type this in, the window says that this is a valid and complete address. It searches and then says the "Print Using:" is a Generic PostScript Printer. The driver for this printer, I believe, should be "HP LaserJet 4100 Series v.3010.107" Regardless, when I click Add the window "Determining Installable Options" shows "Status: Connecting to printer..." It never establishes a connection.
The 2-Wire DSL/Ethernet Hub/Modem, has an IP of 192.1687.1.66, Submask 255.255.255.0 and Router (DNS) 192.168.1.254.
If I plug the ethernet cable directly from the printer to the iMac, the supply level shows correctly but will not print. If I plug the ethernet cable from the printer to the 2-Wire and then to the iMac, it neither shows supply level nor prints.
Any suggestion as to how to fix this problem? (I've been on the phone with 3 different Apple respresentatives and 1 HP representative with no success.)

  • Eprint will not print from some email addresses

My grandmother does not have a computer but we have been using an hp printer to email her documents that are printed onto paper for her to read. We had an HP photosmart that died this week and we had to get an HP envy instead.
I changed the email address on the new printer to a similar one from the one we used before and changed the settings for printing to "open to anyone." Emails from our phones, gmail, yahoo or even my mom's work email address (which has tons of security) have all gone through fine but emails from my grandmother's church do not come through. They are not even registering on the collections to show that the email was sent.
It is extremely important that I figure out how to fix this. Any ideas?

    Hi @turtle290 ,
    Welcome to the HP forum.
I understand that ePrint jobs from the church are not printing.
The fact that they are not arriving in collections leads me to wonder, do they have the correct email?
It could also be something entirely different.

  • HT4356 my iPad will not print to my AirPrint printer. The print center shows the printer but it continually says "waiting"

My iPad will not print to my HP AirPrint printer. The print center shows the printer and the print job but the print center continually shows it is "waiting"

This article states that if your printer is not listed you can't airprint from your idevice but I have printed from my Ipad to my HP Officejet Pro 8600 in the past but now, all of sudden, I no longer can't. I'm trying to print from the "note" app but every time I try to print it keeps sending to my printer but never prints. Constantly buffering and sending, that's all it does. My color ink levels are all low but I have plenty of black ink left. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED WITH APPLE AND HP!!!!

  • Hi, I've just installed mavericks but my HPc4180 will not print and is showing a 'blank' page in previews can anyone help me?

Hi, I've just installed mavericks but my HPc4180 will not print and is showing a 'blank' page in previews can anyone help me?

    A few suggestions for you:
    Try:
uninstall all HP utilities or other HP apps on your Mac
see if there is updated software on the HP website
go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > Print
control-click on your printer in the column on the left
select "Reset Printing System..." and "reset" in the dialog that follows
Do a factory reset on your printer
go back to printers & scanners and it should see your printer and download a driver for it from Apple

  • HP Photosmart Premium c 309g will not print black, all other colors fine. Shows ink levels fine,

Have photosmart premium c309 g connected wirelessly to I Mac and Mac book pro.  The unit suddenly will not print black.  Ink levels show all good.  All other colors print fine.  When check HP utility and go to print quality diagnostics, a box appears that states cannot print PQ page--make sure printer is turned on.  If I tell it to print a page, it immediatly connects and prints all colors but not black.  How can it print regular page but not receive message to print PQ page?  "make sure printer is on" ??

I have this exact same problem with the same printer.  Printer will not print black. My macbook pro is connecting to the printer but shoots out a blank page.  I just put in a new ink cartridge even though it was not low on ink.  Please help.

  • Will not print black. ink cartridge is new. also shows low black level with new cartridge.

HP Photosmart C6180  all-in-one.  Will not print Black.  Also shows low black ink on ink level.  Cartridge is new and HP brand.
In printing colors, very light and has RED hue as there is no black.  Also two other cartridges show low ink when all the cartridges have been replaced.

  • The document shows in the printer viewer, but it is paused and will not print.

Hi, when ever I try to print anything, the doc is in the viewer but is always paused, and will not print. I've tried to restart, but it will not do it.
    Any advice?

Hi, are you referring to a problem in trying to print via the ePrint service e.g.. sending an email to your printer's email address, or printing directly from your PC/laptop?

  • Acrobat reader will not print what is showing on the screen

I created a business card in a graphic design program,  exported it as a PDF file. When I open the pdf file in acrobat, it will display correctly on the screen, but will not print correctly.
When I click on the print icon, a box opens and shows a small preview of what is supposed to print. What shows in the small preview box is correct, but when it prints, it drops off text.
When I go back to the program that created the card, it will print correctly from that program.  When I open the pdf file in Photoshop, it will print correctly in Photoshop.  It just drops off text in Acrobat Pro or Acrobat Reader when printing.

This sounds very similar to the issue that I am having.
acrobat pro printing correctly ,same file with adobe reader printing grey instead of black.
Unfortunately I have not yet gotten any feedback, and your post being over 45 days without a response doesn't bode well for my issue either.
    Sorry I can't help you.

  • Just installed the latest Canon printer software update (V 3.2) from the App store. Canon Pixma MX850 will not print. Dialog says job stopped at the server - no pages found. Utilities, print test page works. Printing via Airport.

Just installed the latest Canon printer software update (V 3.2) suggested by the App store in effort to get printer working after OS update. Canon Pixma MX850 will not print. Dialog says job stopped at the server - no pages found. Utilities, print test page works. Attempting to print via Airport from a MacBook Pro. Also from a Mac Pro via ethernet. Both worked before updating to Yosemite. Canon Pro 9000 Mk 2 works via USB. Tried installing driver 10.84 from OS 10.9 as suggested by PAHU; no luck.

The "stopped at server - no pages found" message would suggest an image with the print file that is created by the printer driver on the MacBook Pro. But if the Mac Pro is getting the same message then that is unusual.
To rule out a couple of causes I would try connecting the MacBook Pro directly to the MX850 by USB cable. This action should result in a new printer for the USB connection being created automatically. If not then you may need to manually create it as you won't be able to use the existing printer that exists for the network connection. With the new printer created see if this will let you print without error.
If this USB connected printer also fails with the same message then try a reset of the printing system. Note that this action will also remove the Pro 9000 from Printers & Scanners so you will have to add it and the MX850 again.

  • 8500 does not show troubleshooter as turned on. It is on and will not print.

Had this printer for many years. No problems. It now will not print. Windows 7 troubleshooter says to turn on the printer and try again. The printer was and is powered up and will not print. I have cycled both the printer and the computer trying to sync them.

Uninstall LR from Control Panel—there may be more than one entry:  Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, Photoshop Lightroom, Lightroom are all possibilities, then after LR has been uninstalled, log out of the CC Desktop app using Gear / Preferences / Account / Signout, reboot, and then see if LR shows up in the CC Apps list, after you give it a minute or two to contact Adobe’s servers.  LR 5.6 is the current version which is probably what the update message is about.

Which printer do you have specifically? HP makes several eprinters and I want to make sure I get the best information for you that I can.
Also, have you tried doing a self test print to see if the issue is hardware related versus being software related?
