Excise duty on nonvaluated item

Hi,
when asset is sold out how the excise duty will calcuated for non valuated items on that asset...

Hi
For sales of capital goods there is a special procedure for excise duties.
As per the notification number 39/2007 released by central government of India has amended rule 3 sub-rule 5 of cenvat credit rules 2004 as follows;
"provided also that if the capital goods, on which CENVAT has been taken , are removed after being used, the manufacturer or provider of output service shall pay an amount equal to the CENVAT credit taken on the said capital goods reduced by 2.5% for each quarter of a year or part thereof from the date of taking the cenvat credit.
We can have a setoff of 2.5% per quarter on the excise duty paid .
on the remaining value we have to calculalte the excise duty at the time of sales.
Check this SAP NOTE  1223889  Reduction of capital goods duty payable on CG sales - J1IIN

  • Excise duty on free item

    Hello experts,
In a Scheme an Excisable item is given for free along with sale of other items. In the case of items given as free, ED has to be paid but cannot be collected from the customer.  How this can be done in invoice without charging the customer but at the same time booking ED liability and cost of goods sold.
    regards
    Manoj

    Hi Manoj...
This is generally happened in business scenarios. It is handelled in standard. You can do it by seletcting tax only Check Box.
You need to activate it from For Setting.
In this type of invoice only the tax gets charged and not the customer.
Try it once in Test DB..

  • Excise Duty (IS-OIL) - Invoice verification and accounting ED

    Hello experts,
I have a case in my importation process with excise duty (IS-OIL). I have the following scenario: Purchasing Ed free material and receive it in ED paid Storage Location. So I use Handling type 00 and Valuation type TAX in the PO excise duty item data. I woul like to kwon Which is the standard process for the invoice verification of the excise duty cost when the handling type is 00 and the valuation type TAX?. And How can I do the invoice verification (MIRO) if there is not a specific line in the purchase order history for the excise duty cost?
I have another case in the accounting of movement type 301 (transfer posting between 2 plants). The accounting posting is the following:
    Examle:
    Account                       Transaction
    1. STOCK FUEL          S                    BSX (Stock account)
    2. STOCK FUEL            H             BSX (Stock account)
    3. STOCK EXCISE DUTY     S             SVO (ED Account)
    4. EXCISE DUTY FUEL           H             ZZP (ED Account)
The problem is that the 4th account must be STOCK EXCISE DUTY ACCOUNT from SVO transaction.
I would be grateful if someone could help me with these cases.
    Thank in advance.

    Dear Prashant,
Thanks for reply, but i checked my excise cond types, in all conditions, cond cat is blank & cond class 'A' is maintained i.e. Discount & Surcharge.
My problem is that, my excise value is not got posted in net receivable value in accounts. This problem arise, when we make sales order, Net Value field doesn't pick excise there & while invoicing, it post only the base value & rounding off adjustments at header level. I don't know, from where this Net Value field in sales order is picking the value but my problem will solve if my grand total value(base valueexciseedu cess+higher edu cess) will pass to Net Value field while making sales order. Kindly help.

  • How to capture the excise duty on free material purchasing?

Scenario is like this if we purchase a lot of material then vendor gives free on some qty. then we make a purchase order for free material with tax code zero. Vendor supply that free material with excise duty. Now we do GRN & take part1 entry. How to capture part II entry. This is capital item.

If you are following J1IEX route , then Tick MRP indicator & enter Excise duty values & take Part2.
It is assumed that all other master data like chapter heading etc are set.
    Hope this will help.

  • Purchase order report with basic price and Excise duty values

    Hi All,
Is there any standard report in SAP to get the Purchase order basic price / qty and its Excise duty values ? Since we are including Excise duties for non - codified items (w/o material master and with cost center 'K') Purchase order and the ed values are added to the cost and the requirement is to see the split up (Basic priceEdEcs+Hcs)for these Purchase orders for the vendors. If there is no std report then please let me know how to link Purchase order table with this Condition value table in query to get the desired report.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
there is no standert report to fullfill this requierment
you have to create this report with the help of abaer

    for po table EKPO
    1. A524 (Normal supply point / Material) it will return condition record number for condition type.
    2. KONP (Conditions (Item)) .
    3. J_1IMTCHID (Combination of Material Number and Chapter ID).
    4. J_1IEXCTAX (Tax calc. - Excise tax rates
5 get the IR no. from RBKP and RSEG, and get the relevant FI doc no. and goto BSET table
for IR number  to get from table apply logic for doc type RE ,you will get fi number nad in refernce field you will get invoice number + fiscal year

  • Excise duty in manual and vat by using taxcode

    Dear Experts,
    my scenario is this
    1. I am trying to capture the excise duty 2% and vat 5% for a item a while entering the price for the item a as 300.
    2. I done the following step in MM settings.
    3. In Define calculation schema by using condition type JEXC and account key as VST. i am giving a manual input.
    4. For VST i did the account determination in OBYC setting also.
while raising the PO i am giving the input as said above in point 1. by PO shows the value of excise duty 12 and vat 15.
After taking the MIGO entry and i tried to capture the MIRO entry i am not getting the value of excise duty 12 in the MIRO document.
CAN anyone help me in this regards.
    Thanks in Advance
    hari.

    Hi ,
Are you using JEXC condition type for manual excise?
If it is right, please put this condition type manually while creating PO, and please dont use excise tax codes.

  • Excise duty in the Pricing Procedure for Local Purchase / Importation

    Hi,
I'd like to know how to set up the pricing procedure for the purchase of an IS Oil Material; for local purchase and importation, especially with regards to the excise duty posting.
Local purchase:  the vendor will bill us inclusive of the ED tax he previously paid, so the tax is just passed on to us..  My receiving location has ED paid status. In the PO item, we need to see this price (inclusive of tax) in the net price field.
Importation:  the vendor only bills us the cost of the material.  When we received the fuel, we paid ED tax to local tax authorities.
I know that both in these scenarios, the system has to determine the excise duty.
My questions are (1) how do you set up the excise duty condition type  in the pricing procedure(or do they have to be maintained in the pricing procedure?) ?   and (2)  how do you set up this condition type in the config?
Thank you and hoping for your immediate feedback.
    zccr

    Hi,
You can use same pricing procedure
put 4 in subtotal in pricing procedure against the Discounr or freight cond
    and in taxinn
BASb ALTCBV 362 and for jmop 363
But this will work only if same  discount or freight value is in IV as that given in PO
if freing value changes in IV then its a problem
This is SAP bug, and SAP workes in that way only, freight value should be same in PO and IV
    other solution
in taxinn create tax code like v8 vat 4% for 003 tax clasification
in ftxp create tax code V8 desc vat 4%
in fv11 for jvrd put 4
and at the time of IV put this tax code for freight amount
and for regular material value V1 tax code
this will work only if u have used acess seq MWST instead of JTAX pr JST1
    hope this helps

  • Excise Duty in MIRO

    Dear Gurus,
I have a Purchase Order for Asset. The items are supplied by an Excise Vendor. I did the GR for the items through T Code MIGO. Also the excise invoice is posted in J1IEX. In all these transactions the Excise Duty, Educational Cess and Secondary Educational Cess are flowing correctly. But, when I am doing the Invoice Posting (MIRO), there are only three entries (during simulation)
    1. Vendor Account  -
Credit  ( Basic Price+ 4% Vat is credited)
    2. Asset Number --- Debit (Basic Price is displayed here)
    3. A/P VAT Receivable CG- On Hold Account -- Debit ( 4% of Basic Price is calculated)
The accounting entries for excise are not flowing (i.e) CENVAT Clearing account entries for ED, ECess & SH ECess.
Kindly advise me what may be the problem..
    Thanks in advance..

  • Excise Duty issue

    Dear Sir,
    I configure Excisable depot.
    STO Process
we created purchase order in which price is mentioned 1000 for a material, and we did delivery ,proforma invoice and excise invoice  ( Price of material 1000, Excise Duty is BED 100 Ecs 2 H Ecss 1) through J1IIN and we have done Goods receipt through MIGO while doing MIGO we have given Base Value 1000 ,BED 100, ECS 2, H Ecs 1 and J1IG document also created.
the issue is that while selling goods, our sales price will be 2000 so naturally BED will be 200, ECS 4 and Hecss 2 in our sales invoice. but when we create Depot Excise Invoice through J1IJ . excise duties BED 100, Ecs 2 and Hecss 1 are appearing which means the amount of excise duties are picking up from J1IG document OR MIGO Document.
question is that we need to do Price escalation in depot , how can we treat excise duties in Depot?
Do we need to do JV in Depot for excise?
Please give me an insight in this regard as early as possible
    Thanks
    Shibu Chandran

As per excise law in India, whenever there is a price escalation happens in a depot we have to create a document called "A Certificate" by paying  additional excise duty on the differencial amount between STO price and Depot sales price. Because when you post incoming excise duty in J1IG after MIGO at depot, system captures BED, CESS & E.CESS as per the chapter ID of the material being transported from the factory and based on this Excise duty value for STO is calculated.
If the selling price of the material is higher than the STO price, we have to pay excise duty on the defference. Because law requires excise duty to be calculated on the selling price or assesible value if one exists.
    perform the following activities
    J1ILN >Indirect taxes>Procurement->Excise invoice->For Depot--> J1IGA Acertificate entry at Depot
Here enter the internal excise invice already captured at J1IG. System will show you the excise duty values to corresponding Folio nos. Here you can enter excess amount to be paid for each line item in the excise invoice. Save.
Now you create OR, delivery and PGI from Depot for customer. Go to J1IJ to create Depot Excise invoice. After entering the delivery document no. you will see a list internal of excise invoices choose the excise invoice to which your delivery material belongs. In the bottom you will see other table containing a list of "A Certifivates" created for all your internal excise invoices. You have to choose the "A Cerificate" of the internal invoice which you have selected already. Capture and post the document. Now RG23D will be updated.
Now you create the commercial invoice for the customer in VF01. In item condition tab you can see the effect of "A Certificate".
Please reward if you find this as useful
    Regards

  • Excise Duty In Service Documents

    Hello,
In India, Excise Duty is levied on certain items. In SAP Business One we can define separate tax codes - for excise - and these are selectable only when the item and warehouse is excisable.
But while creating Service Type Documents - it allows to select any type of tax code. Excise tax codes also. This creates a problem, in case a user selects an excise tax code for a service type document, let us say, Goods Receipt PO, they can not process it further.
The GRPO will get added without any problem. But an Incoming Excise Invoice cannot be created. It shows error that services cannot be excised.
An AP Invoice / Goods Return cannot be created either, because they require an Incoming Excise Invoice.
Otherwise also, since services cannot be excised, so when the document type is service, it should not show Excise Tax Codes. This is something which should be looked into. Such things allow novice users to create wrong documents and get stucked unnecessarily.
    Regards,
    Rahul Jain

    Hello Rahul,
You are right. But that is not the ideal way. I can in fact filter out the tax codes - by applying a filter on the respective CFL. And I have done that. But this is not the ideal solution.
    Regards,
    Rahul Jain
