F4180 all in one has fatal error: "msi.aio software -wstub"262528"-1ENU-f error message

Using HP Pentium Dual CP 32 bit w/ windows vista. Troubleshooting indicates if problem persists contact HP. I have ordered CD for software installation and problem persists.

I was able to install the All-In-One SW package on my Windows 8.1 Home PC.
The error occurrs on my Windows 8.1 Pro PC (I wanted WMC).
Apparently both GPBaseService2 and HPSoftwareUpdate are trying unsucessfully to add keys to the registry.
I have tried everything including completely turning off the AV SW and creating a pure ADMIN account used to perform the install.
Any help HP?

I'm betting that the contacts inside the printer or on the ink cartridge are dirty. This happens over time. The document below will walk you through cleaning the contacts. Let me know what happens.

All-in-one 6300 series error message "door open" .

I've removed the door in the back, turned off the printer, waited, and started it back up. I did troubleshooting and nothing seems to remove the error message. The forum had a post and answer for a different machine so I hope there's a solution for my 6300.

Error message, remove and check color cartridge will not go away even after replacing cartridge (same refilled). Any help would be appreciated.

I had the very same problem with my HP Officejet 7410 so cleaned the ink cartridge and carriage contacts per the directions listed on this link:

After my first attempt at cleaning these contacts, i reinserted the cartridge and tried printing again but I got the same error message. Next I removed both cartridges (color & black) from their slots and after pointing a flashlight at the carriage I discovered the bottom of the carriage was covered with ink, so....using over a dozen cotton swabs I cleaned the bottom of the carriage as best i could. Also, thinking that perhaps the ink cartridge was not manufactured exactly to its proper size and shape, when i inserted the cartridges back into their slots I slightly pressed them in to be sure the contacts would touch.
I was happy to see that now the error message is gone and my printer is printing again....well, at least for now.

HP OfficeJet J4680 All-in-One getting Copy error message when copying from front panel.

I get this message when I try to copy from the front panel: Incorrect paper size. Load different media or change copy paper size settings. It does not matter what I am trying to copy. I have checked the paper size and media and they are set on what I want -- Letter size and plain paper. It started after I cleared a paper jam from the back of the copier. Hope someone can help me. I am also having the exact same problem. I tried resetting it back to default settings (power on, unplug power cord, hold the # and 3 buttons while plugging back up). However, this has not helped. So far the only solution I saw is to upgrade to another printer, but copying seems to be such a simple function for this problem to be so hard so solve. Unfortunately, I've seen no other answers, so upgrading may be my only option even though I have no other problems :-(

Are there photos in the Library? If not then just trash it and launch iphoto. It will make a new one.
If there are pics in it then Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Airport Express and HP F4180 All in One Printer

I just bought an Apple Airport Express to connect my F4180 to my wireless home network. This F4180 used to be connected directly via USB to my Vista PC and was available to the other laptops by sharing the printer. This worked ok, but I always had to start this specific computer to make the F4180 available for the other laptops.
After installing the Airport Express and Bonjour everything seemed perfect, but after the first print I noticed that only 60% of the page was printed and an error occured. I tried everything, installing, reinstalling, deleting, reading forums, helpdesks, etc, etc, but did not find an answer.
Does anyone have a clue?

This combination SHOULD work but it often does not. I have replaced several base routers from non-Airport to Airport and resolved issues like this - USB printers, AirPlay issues, etc. Its the only way I know how to make it work, sorry.

HT1925 I am getting a fatal error message when I try to un install itunes from Control Panel on my PC, so now I cannot un install it at all, any suggestions?

That sounds like a permissions problem. Vista uses that Trusted Installer account to install software. I don't know why it wouldn't have the correct permissions, though.
Make sure you have FULL control over all the C: drive, and try turning off UAC during the install:

My HP C6300 All in one has suddenly stopped working

Both Printer and Advent laptop tell me that they are both connected to my Netgear router but nothing happens. When I click on the printer logo all I recieve is an 'Error' message! I have tried everything on the support site without success. I am using windows vista. Help!!

Start > Control Panel > Printers. Delete all instances of the printer.
1. Make sure the printer is turned on and connected to your network. Verify that you can access the printer's internal web page by browsing to its IP address before continuing. Get its IP from a Network Test printed from the front panel of the printer.
2. Click >> Start >> Control panel >> Printers.
3. Click the Add a printer
4. Select Local printer
5. Select Create a new port and select Standard TCP/IP Port and click Next button.
6. Under Device type, select TCP/IP Device. Under Hostname or IP address, enter the printer's IP address. Click Next.
7. Select Hewlett-Packard from the list of manufacturers and select and select your printer model. Click Next.
If your printer model was not listed, then select Have Disk, browse the HP CD that came with your printer and select the first file that starts with hp and ends with inf. Click Open then OK. Select your printer model. Click Next.
8. If you are asked, use the currently installed driver.
9. It will ask for the Printer name -- enter a new name or use the existing one. This will be the name of the printer that you select from other applications.
10. You may be asked to share the printer. Choose NO.
11. The Print Test Page box appears. Go ahead and print it.
12. Click Finish.

Deskjet F2235 All-In-One has stopped working

Hi,
My all-in-one has stopped working. I purchased it new at Christmas 2008 and have only printed 2 test pages, but now when I turn it on all the lights on the front panel light-up & my PC says the printer is off-line. I cannot even get it to turn off by the on/off switch... I have to pull the mains plug from the back.
- I have un-installed & re-installed the software twice without improvement.
- I have replaced the USB cable without improvement.
My PC is a 2.4GHz Celeron 2 with 512 Mb RAM, XP Home SP3, 80Gb hard drive with 7Gb free.
Any ideas ?

I had the same problem. Here is what worked for me. Open the mail app and delete your exchange account (Settings > Delete Account). Then re-add your Exchange account. After this my Exchange contacts showed up again.

I am so upset. Please read my messages from my postings. This has nothing to do with SIM Card, Hard Reset, Apps, Google Gmail Account, nothing. I have gone thru all of this and NOTHING has fixed this. I went to the store today and spoke to the manager on duty. He said he had to try and duplicate the problem before he could help me. I showed him "screen captures" I did, told him it's out here on the board, etc. etc. Needless to say I ended up coming home with the same phone, "he" erased the phone and started over again. Well guess what, it's not a error with "MY" Gmail account being corrupted because if that is the case Mrs. Hayden14 has a bad Gmail account too. If you guessed it, the phone just crashed again! I was able this time to capture a report with ALL the history in it and saved screen captures to PROVE to him this is not a joke. Even the report says "Crash". This time it was something else I don't even or ever have used. I have also wasted over a day , yes a full work day on this without question.
I have had to get the run around for the last day. This is totally ridiculous, including them putting me on hold for 55 min. Oh, that's another funny story. Anyways, tomorrow morning I am going to the Verizon store one last and final time and I hope they decided to do the right thing and give me a phone that does not crash and works. It would be handy at work for me, especially where I work at. I hope hope hope someone listens to and helps me. I would love for them to see me walk in, take my phone and say to me were going to get you another phone, hand it to me, see if it works and prove it's the device. I don't hear anyone having this issue on other phone types so sounds like its the phone type.
I have had 3 phones now in the matter of 2 weeks. I am sure the FedEx charges will add up to a cost of a new phone at some point and start to outbalance your requirement to give me the same phone when it has the same problem.
Can't wait to see what happens tomorrow.

It looks to me like it is a problem on your Windows computer not being able to start an application. It may help if you know or can determine which program Windows is trying to open when you upload photos -- there can be many different ones and it can be set by the user. If you are using Windows 7, you may need to check your Autoplay settings. Mac Mail suddenly gave me a fatal error message

Yesterday out of the blue, I got an error message (wish I would have written it down) that Mail had a fatal error and needed to be re-set. And a button to click to start now. Which I did. It took about 30 minutes to remake, and now I show that I have 6600 unread messages and I don't. The 2nd problem is now I can't sent attachments as all. I get an error message theta they are too big - when they're not.

Are you following these instructions?
Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to shut down.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then restore the device.

After plugging in a USB video capture devise, the computer shut down with a fatal error message.

I tried using system restore and continued to get fatal error messages. Pressing escape, F8,F9,F10,F11,& F12 all resulted in fatal error messages. One time the F10 woked and I pressed exit and save. I can't get it back again.
I tried the recovery disk and after he sixth try I was able to get to the screen where I could restore the computer to the original factory settings. The hard drive was reformatted and the software was reinstalled. After restart I had an initial start up screen. On the first screen all of the defaults were correct english, USA, etc. I hit next. On this page I was to input My Name and the computer name. My keyboard would not input anything, therefore the NEXT would not highlight and I couldn't go any further. I powered down and restarted 2 more times with the same result. On the 4th try I was back to fatal errors and am stuck there. Even the Recovery disk no longer works.

It could be that the database entries for that particular book are corrupted. Apply the fix below in order as needed:
Fix #1
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
iPhoto 8 (09) and earlier- run the options indicated
iPhoto 9 (11) and later- run Option #4 to rebuild the database
