FAQ List

Can I change the order of the FAQ list?

Hi,
The only possible option is to use the FAQ search box feature found in module manager as this will give the option to sort differently by "popularity or subject". 
Unfortunately theres no additional sorting parameters for just applying FAQ list aside from allowing to display "randomly".

  • Bridge tutorial, FAQ and bug list

    Partially because the same questions are asked again and agian and partially because there seems to be a need for a tutorial on the bridge I have built a small site dedicated to the ActiveX Bridge.
    The site has a full working tutorial that shows step by step how to compile, package and deploy a JavaBean inside a Word macro. The
    site also has a simple FAQ list and a list of bugs that I know about
    relating to the Bridge. If, the Bridge comes back and Sun wants to
    support it I will send in the bugs I have plus any others if you

    Does one still have to extend from JFrame? I'd like

    you can try other components but I think you need something that extends component or the memory model seems to be really quirky. the best answer i can give you is try and see different things yourself. you may find something works for you.
    there is no bug report for this as everything about this went into the bug report that the bridge was taken out of 1.4 originally. it is my understanding that when the next version is released 1.4.2 scheduled for "spring 2003" whatever that means it will have the bridge not just back but new and hopefully improved and i can only hope this bug will be one of the ones fixed or at least some documentation will be provided as to how and why some things work in the quirky way they do.

    In my opinion, we desperately need a Frequently Asked Questions sticky thread that we can point people to. People post the same questions, day after day, week after week.... At the top of my list would be:
    Installation Issues: "Help, I just installed APEX and when I go to the URL it..."
    - Returns a 404
    - shows a bunch of broken images
    Upgrade issues: Same as install for the most part.
    I can get to APEX from localhost, but not anywhere else on the network
    Tabular form issues: "I'm new to APEX and I have a tabular form and I want to...

Some of these questions are so repetitive, I'm about ready to filter the forum through yahoo pipes so I don't even see them anymore. No matter what we do, I think the top sticky thread should be a FAQ.

    as one of the new addicts.... I figured I'd offer my 2 cents on the subject
    When I'm first learning, I find FAQ overwhelming. I don't have the vocabulary at that point in time to even know what I'm trying to learn, and the FAQ-list is so long that it's as just as intimidating as the source documentation itself. Having a category for AJAX is fine, if I had an inkling that what I need is related to AJAX.
    Later, once I'm getting my bearings, I go back and read (and re-read) the FAQ, past threads, and the documentation. And the pieces of the puzzle start to fall into place, and I'm able to post less.
    So, I think having a FAQ would be good, but what I think it would be more helpful to have a two sub-forums.
    One for newcomers, and one for folks who have their apex-legs.
    So there is a place to ask the elementary questions, over and over. And, those of you who are experienced can decide whether or not you're in the mood to address the same questions repeatedly, or if you'd prefer to spend your time with the more complex questions.

    I wonder if this would be a good time to consolidate the old FAQ's into one. Not sure how this new forum layout will work, regarding "stickies," but so many folk would just look at the FAQ for their version, and had to be dragged to look at the material for older versions, even though most of that info was still pertinent. Something about thinking that everything is 100% version specific, like your "PE in a Snap," or Jeff Bellune's "... Easy Guide to EncoreDVD 2."

  • IDOC for listing/exclusion conditions (transaction VB01)

    we need to export the conditions for listing or exclusion entered in transaction VB01 (tables KOTG900 ff)  to an external sales order system. Does the system provide an idoc for this purpose?

    Check OSS  Note 863767 - FAQ: Listing/Exclusion. Per point 6,
        6. Question: Can the table contents of material listing and exclusion be distributed to other systems by means of IDocs?
                  No. In the SAP standard system, there is no IDoc distribution of conditions for the usage 'G' (listing/exclusion).

  • Broken link? Can't access InDesign faqs

    Hello all,
    When I try to access the InDesign faqs, I get a page with this message:
    "It appears you're not allowed to view what you requested. You might contact your administrator if you think this is a mistake."

    I wouldn't usually post a message like this, but I'm having huge troubles with InDesign CC. Crashes on every quit and also runs very slowly. I want to avoid a complete hard drive wipe and OS and app install if I can and other forum posts say the faqs could well help.

    I get the same. In fact, the link is malformed in that with the same link on the Illustrator page, the link ends in html. Not with the InDesign button link. Hover over the button.
    When I am at the Illustrator main forum page, it takes me to the Adobe product page for Illustrator, with the FAQ selected.

  • Custom Bootstrap accordion for FAQ module

    Hi I am trying to set up a  Custom Twitter Bootstrap javascript accordion for FAQ module.
    Nearly there, yet only one of the faqs works in that you click on the question and the answer opens, clicking on any other question opens up the same question
    I've customed Faq list layout with this code:

    Hi thanks for replying, yes definately agree there should be no short cuts, I've had a good read through the docs, tried may things but all in vain so just stuck with coding as normal without the BC FAQ integration, It is obvious the problem is the requirement for each collapse question and answer to have their own assigned unique ID's, yet I cannot seem to work out how to dynamically create a unique ID for each via the FAQ Module Template (list Layout), thats why only one of them worked with my code.

    I'm frustrated as I managed to set up a custom FAQ accordion for a different site using jQuery UI Accordion control integrating with the FAQ module,but this did not require unique ids to work, please see:

    This kind of question is best asked in the Windows Forums, however I've had some succession with a similar issue myself.
    Non-Genuine Windows means that it can't authenticate your copy of Windows.
    It's not a problem, all your need is a genuine product key code. Provided you don't have different version of Windows 7 installed to the one you are buying (for example windows 7 Home Premium and Windows 7 business) Then you can use the new key code.
    Click on the Start Button and type: CMD (into the 'Search programs and files' field in the Start Menu)
    The Start Menu will show 'CMD.exe', 
    Right-click the CMD.exe file and select Run As Administrator.
    In the CMD window, type: slmgr.vbs -ipk <type your product key here>
    To activate windows after changing the key, type: slmgr.vbs -ato
    It should now accept the new key code and you will need to be connected to the Internet to authenticate.
    If by chance the windows 7 types are different (One is Home premium say and the other is Business) then you will need to uninstall that copy of Windows 7 and install the new one. If your using BootCamp then you will need to go into BootCamp under system preferences and remove that copy of Windows (delete it)
    Then create a new setup with your new Windows 7 disk.
    For me I had the same type of windows, changing the product code worked. Saved me the bother of having to reinstall Windows again and it was all genuine.

    Hi all,
    I have a problem.The quotation document type is activated for listing, but no condition record is maintained for material or basicallay any combinations.Hence when I create a quotation, after entering sold to, ship to XXX and the material, system is throwing an error that Material is not listed therefore not allowed.I accept this.But when I just change the Ship to party yyy,  system is not showing any error and is creating order.I indeed can't accept this as no condition record is maintained even for ship to yyy or any combination.
    I activated Listing/Exclusion analysis while creating quotation and checked for Ship to YYY, system is showing condition record is missing for all the combinations
    Has anyone faced this problem? Why system behaves so.Any partcular setting controls this? Kindly give some inputs on this

    Material Listing works with 2 types of Partners- Sold-to (SP) and Payer (PY). It does not take into account SH partner or changes to SH Party.  So once it failed the first time for a given SP or PY,   it won't do the check again if you changed the SH partner.
    Here is the help documentation which talks about it.
       "Material listing applies to two partner functions in Sales & Distribution: the sold-to party and the payer.
       In the standard version of the SAP System, when the sold-to party and payer are different, the material listing check is as   follows:
    ·        If the sold-to party has a material listing, the system only checks this listing (no other check takes place).
    The material listing for a sold-to party can include materials that do not appear in the material listing for the payer (for example, in the case of materials that are rarely ordered or only in exceptional cases)
    ·        If there is no listing for the sold-to party, but a listing has been created for the payer, the system automatically checks the payeru2019s listing.
    ·        If no material listing data exists for either the sold-to party or payer, then the customer may order any material."

    I second that. I would also suggest the list of things the user should at least supply is supplemented with the client mode; HI (High Interactivity) or SI (Standard Interactivity).
