Forms Don't Connect
Dear Sirs,
When I want to connect forms to the database using Scott/tiger I receive the following message
Ora-12203 TNS-unable to connect to destination
What should I do?

You can add the connect identifier in your tnsnames.ora file either by using the Net Configuration Assistant and follow the wizard or simply modify the tnsnames.ora file manually.
You need to have an entry like below.
ORCL =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS_LIST =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = <hostname>)(PORT = 1521))
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVICE_NAME = <SID>)
)Where hostname is your machine name or IP address of the database server and SID is the database name.
so you simple do:
CONN SCOTT/TIGER@ORCLTony

Unfortunately, when I use Oracle Net8 Easy Config to test the connection, an error message is prompted as follows:
Connecting....
The test did not succeed.
ORA-03106: fatal two-task communication protocol error
There may be an error in the fields entered
or the server may not be ready for a connection.
You can check the server and retry, or continue.
After I google it, I still have no idea how to solve the problem. I would like to ask, could anyone mind providing some hints or solution to address the issues.
Thanks for your assistance in advance.I don't believe the Net8 Easy Config (NEC) will create a compatible entry in the tnsnames.ora. I have Forms 6i running successfully against a 10g Express database, but I did not use the NEC - I created the entry myself. Here is the entry I use:

Some of my Apps don't connect to the internet. For example, NY Times Web App, says it can't connect. But when I access it from Safari it does (it is a web site and the App just accesses it form the desktop of the IPAD). I have a number of Apps like this. I've removed and reinstalled and it doesn't help. Please help!

If it is WEP, one of the problems is that the actual standard relies on a 10 character HEX key for 40bit WEP and a 26 character HEX key for 128bit WEP. In order to make things easier, vendors use certain algorithms to convert simple alphanumeric passwords (or passphrases) into HEX keys, thus enabling the use of simple easy to remember WEP password rather than lengthy HEX keys. The problem is that different vendors use different algorithms to generate the HEX key and therefore a ASCII password on an AEBS will be hashed differently on a non-Apple client and vice versa. How to have RAC accept Forms and Reports connection to non specific node?

I have posted this in the Forms forum w/ no result, hoping someone here can help;
Oracle Forms and Reports services, not the entire app server. Version 10.1.2.0.2, one server
Oracle database, RAC Version 11.1.0.6.0, 3 nodes
Instance=RMSTEST
Nodes = RMSTEST1, RMSTEST2, RMSTEST3
I can TNSPING RMSTEST w/o issue
When I have userid in formsweb.cfg = user/pw@RMSTEST we are being prompted when logging into forms and reports to supply the password for the RMSTEST instance, enter the password and we are in.
So we changed this in formsweb.cfg = user/pw@RMSTEST? (?= any of the nodes 1-3) and the password prompt is no longer being requested.
What do I need to do to have Forms and Reports connect to the RMSTEST cluster directly for it to determine which node to connect to instead of having an unbalanced node(s)?

Why do i keep getting the message 'Cannot connect to iTunes Store' when I have done every connection I can find? What does the error message (-1202) mean when I am on the iTunes site on my computer?

Texts in pdf form don't appear when viewing in Acrobat nor in Reader.
Texts in pdf form don't appear when viewing in Acrobat nor in Reader nor when printed after the form has been filled. But the texts appear when one clicks inside the field. What is the solution to be able to print and view all of the texts in all of the fields that have been typed.
More than likely caused by someone filling out the form with Mac Preview.

When you go to Settings > WiFi, does it show that you are connected to your WiFi network? (If connected, a check mark will appear next to your network name.)
Where does the "loading" statement appear? How do you just get loading if you are connected to the Internet via cellular data network?
Have you tried any other application that uses the Internet like Yelp or a bank app? What happens there?
I wouldn't try the 5.01 update until you solve the connectivity problem! It's a very large update.
You cannot compare yours to your sister's. Just deal with yours.
Observations that may or may not help in your case:
1) Sometimes WiFi doesn't work well even if connected if the cell signal is very weak or "o" (vs 3G) shows.
2) Sometimes connection via cellular does not work if connected to WiFi but WiFi signal is very weak. -
I have a new ipad and it has been doing great and I love it.
today I have a message reading icloud backup...this ipad hasnt been backed up for 2 wks...backups happen when this ipad is plugged in (done) locked (done)
and connected to wifi (I assume this is also done as it is wireless)

i have upgrade my iphone 4 to ios 6 and from this moment every day my iphone go to block. it turn off and i can't turn on if i don't connect to charge connectors.. someone have the same problem? how can i solve it?
I am experience a similar problem, my iphone 4 either turns off by itself or I am unable to answer a call. Everything just blocks. After contacting 2 different apple service spots still no answer as to how can we fix the problem. Worse, I am unable to revert back to ios 5.1.1 where everything worked just fine.

From one day do another server admin don't connect to the server locally and remotely. The workgroup admin shows not the sharing button. The other services works correct. (FileService, NetBoot, ping etc ...). In the CrashReporter I've only find a crash from dashboardadvisoryd. I don't want restart the server.
I there an other solution?

Standby = press the Power button
Power off = Press and hold Power button then slide the red power off slider.
Reset = Press and hold both Reset adn Home till you see the Apple logo.
This option will help to avoid pressing power button less number of times and gives better user experience.
Because it is better to not push the power button and more enjoyable to not push it? -
If I set Firefox as my default web browser, the help links on Adobe Dreamweaver and Flash's welcome screens don't connect to the help pages on Adobe's site. It just links to Firefox's start page and stops. The links work properly if Safari is set to the default browser. Please help.

Reports called forms don't run
Hello,
I have an application on forms6i, the application works fine, except one pc with windows xp, , because, when I tried to run report, the report didn't run. In runtime mode, the form call report with run_product, but don't start reports backgroupd engine, and The form don't response, then I kill the session.
PLease, help me.

Try to create a new report without any input parameters and executing it, with a button pressed within your module.

When trying to connect Mail, Contacts, Messages and Notes connect but Calendar and Reminders don't connect.
I get error A secure connection couldn’t be established.
I think a lot of people are getting this. Some solutions with Gmail but v little with Yahoo!

I have just found out what's wrong. I went to the 'more info' section of my Chitchat application and it took me to a link where it explained that Yahoo Chat has ditched chatting with the Java protocol and chatters can now only chat via the Yahoo Messenger protocol, which is Yahoo Instant Messenger with Voice. Unfortunately Yahoo doesn't provide a platform for Yahoo Voice for Macintosh computers. Though the original link I went to provides another link to a thing called 'Adium' from which a Mac can access Yahoo Chat's new protocol, although it's not fully developed yet.
Oh...and thanks so much for letting me know about the Java update release. I did not know that I have to upgrade my system first to recieve the latest update information.

hello. My classic applications (browsers, QuickTime) don't connect to the internet, although all extensions are loaded during classic startup, and tiger is connected to the net. Since I can't find anything on this in Mac Help, I'd be grateful for help on this.

Titanium PowerBook G4 / 1,67 MHz Mac OS X (10.4.5)how do you connect to the net . if its by DSL/cable go to the apple menu/control pannel/tcp/ip and select the builtin ethernet or ic could just say ethernet and select using DHCP server but before you do the above try this first go in to the system folder and go in to the prefrence folder and copy the tcp/ip pref file and the internet prefrence file to the desk top and then deleat the ones in the prefrence folder and reboot.
