I need a great help from you.
If I could get the name of the folder which is between the Desktop and the indesign files where it ls saved...
eg.
/Users/wleastudio/Desktop/rantac/acb.indd.
I need to get the folder name highlited in red and alert...
if this is straight away on desktop i can do alert easily like below..

if, the document is saved inside a folder on a desktop, that's the problem, i'm finding to difficult to find folder name and get alert..

When the parent folder name is mentioned" the script catches and alerts.
if the "indesign doc" is not in the parent folder. i.e. it may be inside the folder on the desktop or download folder of some other folder...
The alert says"null folder" not found.

When syncing pictures from my computer to my I-Phone I get 2 copies of the pictures, 1 in the Photo Library and another in a library with the same name as the folder I put pictures in to put on the phone. This started after I upgraded to ios5. I have tried re-installing I-Tunes. I have not reset the phone. My main concern is the amount of memory pictures take up on the phone. It's not a problem now but could be in the future. Any Ideas on why this happening?

It has always been this way. it was never different. This is how the iphone handles photos - always has.
There are NOT two copies, There are simply two ways to access the very same photos. All synced photos will ALWAYS be under Photo Library ( you can look at all photos at once this way or do a slideshow of all photos). Those very same photos can also be accessed from the individual folders so you can show or slideshow just that folder.
Just as a book can be in the library and in the fiction section, there is only one book/photo.

Context: my iPhone 4 syncs with an IMAP mail server. I have lots of folders on the server, and I can see all of them on the iPhone. I know how to use the "file" button at the bottom of an email, to move the message to a folder.
Question: is there a way to "open" the keyboard during the filing process, so that I can type the name of the folder, rather than scrolling through the folders?

For someone looking for help you sure have a funny way about you. Trying to narrow down where and under what circumstances a problem occurs is called troubleshooting. Showing that mail's imap works with gmail and google should al least give you pause to reconsider your out and out assertion that the problem has to be solely with mail and perhaps lead you to look at the possibility of an issue with the interaction between mail and godaddy. Just because someone who answers the phone at godaddy says the problem has to be in mail don't make it so.
You know were all just users here, no one is getting paid. Those of us who try and help users like yourself are doing it to give something back to the community. You don't like my help, fine don't take it but check the attitude at the door.

Sir, your Apple ID can be used as an iCloud account as well. They are both the same thing.

iOS 7 allows you to have your apps update automatically. Therefore, the list of what has been updated stays so that you can see what was updated, when and what the release notes say. It has been suggested that they list has a limit, much like Recents. Currently, there is no way for the user to delete the entries manually. Just try not to look at them.

How can I find out the name of the folder my java program is in?

Hi, I'm trying to make a little utitlity that makes a bunch of url shortcuts based on the name of the folder I run the java from.
i.e.
I have my executable jar in C:/Someplace/My Folder Name/
I'd like to be able to double click on the jar and it creates the url shortcuts for me using "My Folder Name" as a parameter.
I've done the shortcuts bit but can't figure out (=find a tut) how to read the folder name.

Unfortunately, the only one who can help is the previous owner. Otherwise you will not be able to activate and use the phone. Apple can't/won't help you with this either.

yes its possible and it works in the same way as the creation of a new characteristic / assigment to an up- and running operating concern.
Thats because the "name" of a characteristic is not stored in a text table but it is the field label of the data element.
Search in the SDN forum if you are unsure how to do that.

You can find the location of the cache on the about:cache page (open that page via the location bar like a website).
Only large image and media files are stored as individual files on disk.<br />
Other files are stored in a few large container files (_CACHE_XXX_) in the cache folder and not as separate files on disk.<br />
The individual files on disk have random names without a file extension for security reasons: you can't open an application or start a downloaded virus inadvertently by clicking a file in the cache folder.<br />
You can look at this extension for easier access to files in the cache.

Checked:
when you add a song to iTunes, that song is copied to the itunes library folder (on your external drive) with all your other songs, so they are all in the same place, on that drive. you can then delete the song you added to itunes from wherever you added it, because it has been copied to the itunes folder.
Unchecked:
the song is not copied to the itunes folder on the external drive. this means that once you add it to itunes, you must keep the song wherever you added it from, because itunes only remembers where it is located, and does not keep a copy in the itunes folder. moving this file will make the song unplayable in itunes.

Can't get rid of the folder and exclamation mark!

Hope one of you can help. I have just returned home after a month away working and went to listen to some music on my ipod but found that the charge had gone. I plugged my ipod into my laptop and left the ipod to charge for a few hours, one thing i did notice was my laptop didn't and hasn't recognised my Ipod i.e opened up Itunes when connect up to the USB port since letting my battery go flat,other noticeable things are my conputer only comes up as E drive when connected not Apple Ipod as usual however when i hit remove hardware on the toolbar of my laptop it identifies the Ipod. I have tried the 5 r's and have had no luck with any of them and i still have the folder with a exclamation mark. One thing to note is when i try to run Ipod updator it comes up with a message no dock station found but it shows my serial number of the ipod when i first connect but comes up with this message when i try to restore. I am at my wits end now i have tried diagnostics and everything looks ok no faults flagged.
Can any of you genius out there help please?

When the PC user returns to his computer the iPod will be recognized by the PC, reformatted for the PC, and usable again. By the way, it works in reverse too. A Mac user often can get his iPod back by connecting it to a PC and restoring it.

i got given a new ipod nano (1st generation) to replace my old ipod mini, i installed the new software but got the folder and exclamation mark icon, i removed all itunes and quicktime software just in case it had anything to do with an old version of something and reinstalled the software...still got the icon. then i installed the updater from the website but still can't get rid of the icon...any advice? please help!

How to get names in the phonebook transferred to Car device?

I am using BB 8900 and Fiat Linea car with Blue & Me technology. After copying the phone book from the BB hand held to the car device, the car phone book only displays the numbers without names, which is practically useless. Because of this, I am unable to utilize the expensive feature in my car to the full, though I can receive calls and dial from the handheld and then continue conversation through car device. My another handheld Nokia model, costing 1/4th of BB 8900 works perfectly well with the car device. Hi, I did not get help but I succeeded in transferring the names in the address book of my BlackBerry. I am sharing how I did it for the benefite of others -
1. The automatic pairing by blue & me does not transfer the names!!
2. Keep your BlackBerry (BB) unlocked, blue tooth paired with device.
3. Press 'Phone' sign on the sterring wheel to activate menu.
4. Scroll using the up/down arrows on the steering wheel for 'Settings'
5. Select settings by pressing the 'Phone' sign.
6. Scroll for 'User data' and select by pressing 'Phone' sign
7.Scroll for 'Add contacts' and select by pressing 'Phone sign'
8. After hearing the voice message from the car audio do seetings on BB as below
9. Go to 'Manage Connections' -> 'Set up Blue Tooth' - > 'Cancel' This Leaves 'Blue tooth' menu with "Blue & Me" on the screen.
10. Click 'Menu' button and click on 'Transfer Contacts'
11. The BB shall transfer 300+ numbers within a minute ans give a message of completion of transfer.
12. Look at the car display, it shows the numbers being added, trailing the completion of transfer completion from BB
13. Within less than 2 minutes, the address book in the car device is updated and you have all the names in the phone book of the car now.
Enjoy but keep the usage of the calling from car to safety limits.

SecLDAP plugin failed to get name for the entry XIR2 SP2

When a user who is in the ldap store attempts to log into InfoView, after about 10 minutes, he gets a message as follows:
Account Information Not Recognized: An error occurred at the server: the secLdap plugin failed to get the name for the entry with dn=cn= with what appears to be appropriate information. This user does not appear to have a presence in BO (does not have an inbox, favorites, etc) nor does he appear in the ldap userlist in the CMC.
Can you describe the functionality contained in this plugin ? It's function ?

When I use under file save page as a desktop icon firefox downloads 2 a icon and a folder, how do I get rid of the folder and just keep the icon like in I.E.

I'm just trying to save my favorite website short cut icon to the desktop instead of using bookmarks for everything. In I.E. you have the option to save to desktop your favorite website and you only get a shortcut icon. but in Firefox if you save your website to your desktop you get both the website icon but also a folder. but if I try to remove or delete the folder it removes the icon also. how in Firefox can I get just a shortcut icon for favorite website but without the folder.

The problem has been resolved for me. I am a little fuzzy on how it got fixed.
I only have 3G, so I think I went to the library to use wi-fi.
I think I just deleted the stuck apps, and the downloaded them again. You do not have to pay again when you download a previously purchased app.
It is now August, and fortunately I have not had any stuck apps lately.
As you may already know, you cannot download an app over 20 MB via 3G.
I have the Kindle app also. No new updates lately. I only bought one thing using Kindle. It was a guide to iPad that was only $1.99 or so, but it did not really have anything that cannot be found in normal free Apple guide.
I have borrowed an ebook from the library using Overdrive app. You can choose the ebook version from Kindle.
I don't have any weather apps.
Let me know what happened when you get the chance.
