HT1212 I cannot download an album purchased via my laptop to my ipod. I have tried syncing but still no download.

My ipod touch does not see to sync either via wifi or connected to my laptop. I therefore cannot download an album purchased via my laptop to my ipod touch. Can anyone help?

Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- Then do the other actions of:
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
paying special attention to item #5
- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

I purchased a monthly subscription to PS and LR two months ago, but still cant download any of it to my computer. got an error, but now its completly undownloadable.

I restarted in safe mode. I opened the firefox and it did not show not responding. However I was unable to connect to the internet in safe mode, so I don't know if it is a system driver yet or not. How do I start in safe mode and be able to connect to my wireless router? If it does turn out to be a system driver or something, how do I figure out which one it is? Do you want to retry or be done." Each time I retry, the same thing happens. They will not download. I have restarted my phone and the same problem remains.

Other people have been having similar problems with songs over a number of days.
Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting it from your iTunes library and redownload it via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if it re-downloads in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that song and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

As long as you both share an iTunes account you cannot delete the album. It is in your account and will show as available to download. The cloud symbol simply is showing that the album is in your iTunes account and is available for you to download. The album itself isn't on your phone though.

The exact same things happend to me!! how frustrating! ive reinstalld it soooo many times and quicktime seperatly too as i have had so many different error messages including something to do with quicktime, i dont know what to do but as you said my ipod is useless with out itunes! if anyone works this out let us know! thanks alot x

Is the app checked in the Apps tab of iTunes? That's how you tell iTunes whether you want the app on your phone or not.
Otherwise, check the very last screen on the phone.

I unchecked the 2nd song so a different song would be 2nd, no benefit; reset my ipod nano; shut down laptop and restarted a different time; shorted the number of songs to sync; all without benefit.

When you connect your ipod up to the computer. It should show the device, usually with the name of the device, in my case 'jordan's ipod'. This should be on the row which shows 'songs', 'albums' e.t.c on the far right. There when you click on it it should go to a different screen showing a picture of your ipod along with two buttons - Update and Restore. Click update and it should take a 2 mins while your ipod is updated to the latest version of Ios.
After updating te ipod see if there is a change in results.
PS: make sure the device is active while syncing so keep tapping the screen.
