This feature is only available on iOS 5 or later. You must still be running iOS 4. Connect your iPad to the computer you usually sync with and run iTunes software update.

The update starts to install showing that the download will take about 1 minute. Then switches to preparing update. When almost complete there is a pop up that says update failed.
Have tried resetting by holding the home and power buttons.

Yes, the Old Master file has a folder for each year where I find all photos from that specific year. I am attaching a screen shot of the file.
In the meantime i have managed to download all photos (it did not download any video files though in mpg, avi, 3gp, m4v,mp4 and mov format) to a new iphoto library. Unfortunately the photos are quite mixed and often doubled up. I ma considering to purchase iphoto library which checks all duplicates in iphoto. this will save me a lot of time. What do you think?

Our next over the air or OTA update will be sometime next year, probably near March. The G2 is already getting 5.0 Lollipop in Poland and is rolling this way. You can't setup (create) an iCloud account using a PC. You must use an Apple device, a Mac or an iPhone etc. Once you have created an account you can sign in from your PC.

Trying to restore my iphone 5 throught iTunes and it says contacting the iphone software update on my mac book for the past 4 hours

I went to update to the new ios and my phone immediately went into recovery mode. I called apple and they said I had to restore my iphone 5. I did what they told me to do through iTunes on my macbook and now the box that says Contacting the IPhone software update server has been there for 4 hours with no progress.

It can not do that all by itself.
When you plugged it in, iTunes said 'Oh goody! You got a new phone! Would you like to make it just like your old phone?'...
You explicitly said 'Yes'.
You can't undo that.
No backup of the current state of the new phone was made. It was wiped and the last backup of your old phone was restored to it.
Anything you had on the new phone is gone.

Trying to run an install to update to Firefox 3.6.16 but Software Update is not making any apparent progress past "Connecting to the update server". Just keeps running... Is this a problem or does the update just take a really long time?

My computer's current version of Firefox is 3.6.13; clicked on Software Update and received an "strong suggestion" to download the newest version 3.6.16. Clicked to update and now "Downloading Update" has been showing "Connecting to the update server..." for 10+ minutes.

Make sure that yo have the boxed chanced to only sync the checked music. It appears that it is trying to sync ore than those.
You can try unsycing all music and resyncing.
