HTTP_GET unicode blues?
I am using HTTP_GET to contact the HTTP port of the message server to get it to return the hostname of an available application server.
When using HTTP_GET from a 4.6C system to the message server of a Unicode 6.40 system everything works OK. (Message server returns return code 301 and the name of the application server to use).
But when I use HTTP_GET from another Unicode 6.40 the message server returns rc 400 and bad request! If I contact the HTTP port of the ICM of central instance or application servers everything works OK.
It looks like the message server does not handle HTTP requests from Unicode systems?
Any ideas?

from a 6.40 to 6.40 try with cl_http_client class.
and if you just wanted to find out the host and port of another system, you can simply call this FM with destination pointing to target system

Can you help?What version of OSB/ALSB you are using? Because the support for HTTP verbs, is a new feature introduced as described in article 'Using REST with Oracle Service Bus' at http://blogs.oracle.com/jamesbayer/osb/
AquaLogic Service Bus 3.0 (as well as 2.x releases of ALSB) supports GET and POST use cases, but does not have developer friendly support for HTTP verbs PUT and DELETE out of the box. For GET requests, pertinent information is available in the $inbound/ctx:transport/ctx:request/http:relative-URI variable. To parse query string information, use $inbound/ctx:transport/ctx:request/http:query-string. A common pattern for HTTP GET is to use XQuery parsing functions on that variable to extract extra path detail, but the $body variable will be empty. For POST requests, the same applies, but the $body variable may have a message payload submitted as xml, text, or some other format.
I have heard from product management that first class support for HTTP verbs such as PUT and DELETE is planned in the next release of OSB, which is scheduled sometime in the Fall of 2008. For customers that require PUT and DELETE verb support immediately, OSB does have a transport SDK, which could be used to add inbound and outbound REST support. That approach would require some development. There are other inbound options besides the transport SDK, such as a basic approach of deploying an HTTP servlet with doDelete() and doPut() implemented. This servlet could be deployed on OSB instances and forward to specific proxies to provide PUT and DELETE support. An outbound option would be to use a java call-out to invoke a REST style provider. -

Try again with Vista 32bit, 64bit is highly unstable and only a few have it running stable.
I've been running Vista x64 for the past nine months, and now with my K9A2 P--and have had no problems. I mean, none. Have not had any occasion to even consider reinstalling Vista x32. Vista x64 has been stable as a rock for me consistently since I installed it. Would not consider going back to XP under any circumstances.
There is a problem with Beard0's system that I would say boils down to device drivers or faulty hardware or some combination thereof. His experience is dramatically different from my own, and the problems he's having are not indicative of my experience with Vista, whether x86 or x64. -
Hardware Acceleration Causes Blue Screen of Death - Resolution?
My computer running Windows 7 64 bit started crashing with Blue Screen of Death when Viewing YouTube videos or other videos like The Daily Show. The "solution" was to turn off hardware acceleration.
The crashing appears to have stopped, but now the video quality is degraded and jerky, to the point that the video can just freeze while the audio continues. So either I crash or I have poor video playback.
Has anyone found a solution to the BSOD that would enable me to re-activate hardware acceleration?
Symptoms with hardware acceleration enabled: Computer will crash after playing a handful of YouTube or other online Flash videos. Exact number of successful playbacks varies, but it will usually crash somewhere around the sixth playback (I cruise YouTube the way other cruise Wikipedia.) The screen will first flash black on one video, and when the next video starts, the computer crashes.

ThanksHi Chris, thanks for responding.
Browser: IE9 64 bit, and Firefox 17.0.1
Dxdiag attached, but are you wanting a version of this after hardware acceleration has been re-enabled and a crash has occurred?
Thanks,
Steve

Lightroom 4.1 (3, 4 or any version) causes computer to blue screen and crash
Recently bought the new Lightroom 4.1 in an attempt to fix this issue, which had been occuring off and on for some time. I have major difficulties with importing and/or rendering previews or editing Canon 5D Mark II and Canon 5D Mark III images using Lightroom. The computer abruptly blue screens, then reboots. The blue screen code is 124. I'll attach a record of minidumps (all caused by editing or importing images using LR4.)
Not sure if that can be viewed, but please ask so I can send you the dump file for inspection if necessary. It essentially shows the Bug Check Code as 0x00000124, caused by address ntoskrnl.exe+4b09bc.

I have an 850W PSU. Running Windows 7 Ultimate on a 150GB SSD.
I find this very frustrating because it's a PC that I built and that can do any complex task--anything from using PS CS4 with multiple layers, playing top-end games like Crysis 2 and Diablo 3 with graphics on full. Other than this RAW development issue, the computer is flawless and VERY fast. Anyone have any ideas, or see a hole in the system specs?
Cheers,
_EThe video driver is up to date, and I would assume compliant with LR4.
My BIOS version is default, and I tried installing new BIOS updates but ran into troubles. The Asus motherboard uses ATI Catalyst to introduce new system updates, but it fries my PC (assuredly a conflict with my nVidia card) making the rig run even slower. In fact, using the ATI Catalyst disc (the one that came with my mobo) crashed once I had tried to install any motherboard utilities! I've gone through the BIOS configuration and turned off all of this mobo's overclocking features and set everything to default.
No overclocking going on whatsoever--not once, and never will.
Reseated the memory and tested the memory with no negative feedback.
The PSU is relatively new and of high quality. I replaced an old PSU because of exactly what you mentioned above. It's a Corsair GS800 (not 850W, 800W).
I'm at the point right now where I suspect the motherboard is failing me somehow. I only bought it because I was in a rush and would have normally opted fro a "non-overclocking-enthusiast's" board. Perhaps there's a way of updating BIOS without utilizing the disc (the ATI Catalyst, more to the point?)
The PC is new in a sense. I seem to recall a point where LR3 worked with fewer crashes. I built the thing April 2011. Just reinstalled Windows 7 and all the software again. -
Toshiba L500 Blue Screen crashes - Windows 7
I have a Toshiba L500-1XJ, part no. PSLS0E-07D01DEN which crashes almost immediately on loading Windows 7.
As it belonged to my son, who is now using another machine, I have restored the machine to its original state and still the machine crashes.
The blue screen of death appears with the following message:
PROCESS HAS LOCKED PAGES
STOP: 0x00000076 (0x0000000000000000, 0xFFFFFA8004F4D060, 0x0000000000000033, 0x0000000000000000)
I am only able to access Windows in Safe mode, otherwise the machine crashes.
Microsoft Knowledge Base indicate the problem to be with a driver not cleaning up completely after an I/O operation and talks about editing the registry to find out. I am hesitant about editing the registry as I have not done this before and am not not clear about adding parameters to the registry.
Microsoft Knowledge Base states -
=====> Windows includes a registry value that you can use to save stack traces that enable you to identify the problem driver.
Note Using DriverVerifier to enable the Pool Tracking option will result in the same behavior in Vista, 2008, Win7 and 2008 R2 as setting the registry value TrackLockedPages to 1.
Use Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe) to view the following registry key:
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management
Add the following registry value, and then restart your computer:
Value Name: TrackLockedPages
Value Type: REG_DWORD
Value Data: 1
Radix: hexadecimal
After you make this change, Windows saves stack traces so that you can identify the problem driver. There is no other way to determine which driver is neglecting to clean up the I/O operations. After you enable this flag, if the driver commits the error again, you see the following error message:
STOP: 0x000000CB (0xY,0xY,0xY,0xY) DRIVER_LEFT_LOCKED_PAGES_IN_PROCESS
Parameter 1 - The calling address in the driver that locked the pages
Parameter 2 - The caller of the calling address in the driver that locked the pages
Parameter 3 - A pointer to the MDL containing the locked pages
Parameter 4 - The problem driver's name (Unicode string)
The problem driver's name is listed on the blue "Stop" screen and is available for dumping again as the fourth parameter in the "Stop" data.
After you identify and update or remove the problem driver, you should remove the TrackLockedPages value from the registry.
=====>
I have run regedit, but am not confident in what to do next. Two folders are shown under Memory Management as well as a number of other files contained within the folder itself. If I highlight Memory Management and click EDIT, NEW a number of options are presented - Key; String Value; Binary Value; DWORD (32-bit) Value; QWORD (64-bit) Value; Multi-String Value; Expandable String Value
How should I proceed? Any help would be welcomed.
Thanks
Solved!
Go to Solution.Sorry, none of that helps me identify the hardware at fault.

[SOLVED] Highlighted text in the shell, appearance rxvt-unicode
Hi,
Short question, when I highlight text in the shell or when text get highlighted in ncmpcpp or outer app running in the shell it gets basically impossible to read. Because background to text get the same color and strength then the text.
what setting should I look for to change what it look like when I mark and highlight text in the shell?
Thank you!
All the best,
Christer

[solved] pacman -Syu made my rxvt-unicode pink
nothing against those who likes their terminal looking like Barbie's Dream House, but I'm baffled.
I did a pacman -Syu, shutdown, installed a 1TB drive, booted back up and now my urxvt background is bright pink.
This is my .Xdefaults.

Photoshop CC - 3D objects all appear blue. Windows 7
On the left you see the result of making a 3d layer of the hat with a clean install of PhotoshopCC. On the right, exactly the same procedure in CS6.
I'm looking forward to using the Generator features of PhotoshopCC, however this bug is a real showstopper. The objects render correctly, but the preview is always Blue, and I've tried everything to change that.
I have found no reference to this behaviour/bug anyehere on the net.
Please could we have a fix?
Cheers!Driver is up to date.

[SOLVED] rxvt-unicode not switching to fullscreen
Hi there.
I just installed rxvt-unicode and wanted to activate the fullscreen toggle.
I read on the ArchWiki that I needed the urxvt-fullscreen package from the AUR:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Rx … Fullscreen
After installing it I set the switch key in my ~/.Xdefaults file (Wiki says ~/.Xresources
but all other sources said .Xdefaults so I don't think I'm doing anything wrong here),
but when I press it nothing happens. Is there a log file I can check?
Here's my ~/.Xdefaults:

But now that I added it to my .Xdefaults the behavior is the same (i.e. nothing happens).

I think this is your font color. Have you tried changing it?
XTerm*foreground: White
This one is for xterm so no wonder it doesn't do anything in urxvt.
Edit: Setting
urxvt.foreground: #aaaaaa
does produce dark font, '#ffffff' gets me bright white, as expected.

Does LiveCycle Digital Signatures support unicode pkcs #12 file?
I used Adobe Acrobat and OpenSSL to generated a unicode pkcs#12 file. Import to the Windows are all correct. But when I used for LiveCycle Digital Signatures, after signed, the one use Acrobat generated pkcs12 file signed only can show ASCII character,and other one used OpenSSL pkcs12 file to signed,signature character changed to irrecognizable.
These are two unicode pkcs #12 files. one created by openssl, another one created by Acrobat.
I used this code to sign to the PDF file.
try {
// This example will upload an XDP file to the LiveCycle Repository
ServiceClientFactory myFactory = ServiceClientFactory.createInstance(LCCommonUtil.getConnectionProps());
// Create a SignatureServiceClient object
SignatureServiceClient signClient = new SignatureServiceClient(myFactory);
// Specify a PDF document to sign
FileInputStream fileInputStream = new FileInputStream(
"C:\\Applications\\pdfForms\\TestDigitalSign\\ConferenceReg_flatten_sf_added.pdf");
Document credDoc = new Document(fileInputStream);
// Specify the name of the signature field
String fieldName = "SignatureField1";
// Create a Credential object
Credential myCred = Credential.getInstance("BLC_CHINA"); // LC Server: Local Credentials
System.out.println("******"+myCred.getSpiName());
// Specify the reason to sign the document
String reason = "The document was reviewed";
// Specify the location of the signer
String location = "New York HQ";
// Specify contact information
String contactInfo = "Tony Blue";
// Create a PDFSignatureAppearanceOptions object and show date information
PDFSignatureAppearanceOptionSpec appear = new PDFSignatureAppearanceOptionSpec();
appear.setShowDate(true);
appear.setShowReason(true);
// Set revocation checking to false
java.lang.Boolean revCheck = new Boolean(false);
// Create objects to pass to the sign method
OCSPOptionSpec ocspSpec = new OCSPOptionSpec();
CRLOptionSpec crlSpec = new CRLOptionSpec();
TSPOptionSpec tspSpec = new TSPOptionSpec();
// Sign the PDF document
Document signedDoc = signClient.sign(
credDoc,
fieldName,
myCred,
HashAlgorithm.SHA1,
reason,
location,
contactInfo,
appear,
revCheck,
ocspSpec,
crlSpec,
tspSpec);
// Save the signed PDF document
File outFile = new File("C:\\ConferenceReg_flatten_signed.pdf");
signedDoc.copyToFile(outFile);

Hello all,
I want to know how can we transform a string to a 16-bit unicode, please?
( i want to transform a string to look like "تصبح "
and then store it in a string variable to use it).
can you give me the code?
it's urgentyour right that I asked how to turn a String into UNICODE
and if you noticed my code you will find that I used the code that turn a string retrieved from database into unicode then store in a PDF file,but my problem here is when I tried to store these data in the PDF File, it stored as it is, I mean it stored the unicode string as it is (string) not convert it to the equivalent character as in the following example.
I used this way (turn a String into UNICODE) because I found an example of how to put data written in a language other than english in a PDF file.
this is the example:

import java.io.FileOutputStream;

if you noticed this code, you will find that the data that he want to put it in a PDF file,he already know its unicode as in (ar1,ar2,ar3,.....) and when you run this code you will get a PDF file with an Arabic and hebrew language.
that means he can convert the unicode to the equivalent character.
but in my code that I put in the previous post does not do that.
and this is my problem again:
if you noticed these classes or objects :
PdfPCell (class), table (object ), document (object)
I used these classes from free library called (iText) if you know it.
to help me store data that i retrieve it from database in a PDF file.
my problem is when I used the above code as it is, it will stores the data that I retrieve it from database as "09aA"
and it didn't give me the equivalent word for this unicode.
but if I changed the variable (w) in the following statement from the code:
PdfPCell cell = new PdfPCell(new Phrase(w,f2));
and put this string "09aA" instead of it
it will store the equivalent word for this unicode in the PDF file.
what can I do now?
and what is the problem in my code?
is there any improvments can I do it ?
please help

I cannot get rid of an annoying blue box on an image link that displays from a hyperlink in my dbase
I have a hyperlink in my SQL database which displays from a recordset on my page. It has an image link which displays with a very annoying blue border around it.
Because it is not an image (as such), I cannot just select it and change the border to 0.
When I go to CSS, it just lets me set the border of the table it is presented in!!!
Can somebody point me in the right direction, Please!Hi, this is the code I see in my view as an SQL statement calls for the link from the database:

<?php echo $row_rsProducts['Buy Now']; ?>
<td height="37"id="ShopButton"align="center"style="padding: 5px;">

Don't know whether I am doing it right but this is where I have put the code in the head section, still not working and got the grey border.

#wrapper #main #topbody table tr td {
text-align: justify;
font-size: 10px;
color: #555;
font-style: normal;
font-family: "Lucida Sans Unicode", "Lucida Grande", sans-serif;

Hi,
I am using UTL_FILE.FOPEN_NCHAR and utl_file.PUT_line_NCHAR to write files in Unicode but instead it is exporting in UTF8 format, my database characterset is UTF8, it might be happening due to characterset.
Can i export files in Unicode rather in UTF8.
Thanks
ZubairI think you must reverse the parameters it's destination first the source is optional

Looking at 11g documentation: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/appdev.112/e25788/u_file.htm#autoId0
FOPEN_NCHAR Function
This function opens a file in national character set mode for input or output, with the maximum line size specified. You can have a maximum of 50 files open simultaneously. With this function, you can read or write a text file in Unicode instead of in the database character set.
Even though the contents of an NVARCHAR2 buffer may be AL16UTF16 or UTF8 (depending on the national character set of the database), the contents of the file are always read and written in UTF8. UTL_FILE converts between UTF8 and AL16UTF16 as necessary.
I'm not sure what the last statement means (no Database at hand to try it, besides the usual procedure is not to do it row-by-row but to obtain a clob which gets written out in 32767 byte chunks)
