I've recently installed  OAS 10G R2 Wireless/Portal and ...

I have some questions ...
1) Where's the PIM stuff gone ?
2) Where's the correct supporting documentation for 10.1.2.0 ?
We were hoping to do some inhouse development around PIM /iProc workflow Notification intergration , but i can't seem to find any proper documentation for 10.1.2.0.
Most of the documentation is either outdated , or referring to components that don't exist in R2 ie. PIM etc.
If anyone is using this , please drop me a post here or email me on [email protected]
much appreciated
cheers

1) Where's the PIM stuff gone ?
AS wireless 10.1.2 has moved PIM function to OCS product,10.1.2 has no this function, you can develop it by yourself.but AS wireless 9.0.4 has it by default2) Where's the correct supporting documentation for 10.1.2.0 ?

Hi guys, I recently got a WRT54G v5 wireless router, and when I try to play the PC multiplayer game Call of Duty 4, it kicks me for having 'No Packet Flow' and "Loss of Key Packets". I didn't get these with my other router so I know that the WRT54G is the problem. It says that you only get these problems if your router drops OOB packets which COD4 uses frequently. How do I stop the router from dropping OOB packets?

Well try reducing the MTU to 1200. And also upgrade the firmware.
    To upgrade the firmware :
Connect the computer to the router.
Open the setup page (Intrnet Explorer : 192.168.1.1).
    Username :
    Password : admin
Go to Administration Tab. Go to firmware upgrade.
Browse and select the bin or img file thats extratcted from the download.
    Start to upgrade.
Reset the router and then reconfigure it. Should work.
To check the latest firmware for ur router, click here.
    Should help.

    What can I do?

    Hello,
Do you know if you have this packages with earlier versions?
When this happen the installer only check for the version that contain in the oraparam.ini. But if you are trust that you have all the packages only in newer versions, you can try this.
    runInstaller -ignoresysprereqs
It will make the same verification, and find same problems, but with this flag it will jump to the next part and continue installing. Try to be careful of this flag because if you miss one of the prerequisits from documentation, you may have a highly option to fail in the configuration assitants or find some erroneus behavior of the App.
    Regards.

  • HT4111 I have an IPAD updated with iSO 7. Recently I purchased a logitech wireless keyboard and I went to pair the two up and the IPAD shows that the keyboard is paired or connected but when I type using the keyboard it does not transfer to the pad scene.

I have an IPAD updated with iSo 7. Recently I purchased a logitech wireless keyboard.
I went to pair the two up and the IPAD recognizes the keyboard and cites that it is connected.
But I proceed to type the words do not transfer to the screen.
Any suggestions? Techs at Best Buy state that the iSO 7 is not yet compatible with the keyboard manufacturers?
    How long before they are?

The BestBuy guys are clueless.  I use a Logitech BT Tablet keyboard with my iPad 4 - used it before with iOS 6 and use it now with iOS 7 and it works just fine.
A simply thing to try is to remove the BT pairing, reset your iPad (hold the on/off/sleep button and the home button at the same time until the Apple boot logo appears), then try repairing them.  You may have to force the keyboard back into pairing mode (on mine, there is a button on the underside, near the on/off switch, that I would press and hold for second or two to force pairing mode).

  • Installing OAS 10g Release 2 (10.1.2) for Solaris 10 sparc

I am installing Oracle® Application Server 10g Release 2 (10.1.2) for Solaris Operating System (SPARC) for the first time on an unix server. What is required in unix as far as directories, mount-points and etc. before I start. After downloading the product, it says to extract the cpio file, move the cpio file to an empty directory, then do: cat filename.cpio | cpio -icd What directory do I run installerer in. I have reviewed the doumentation in Oracle for installing the OAS but it is the prep work that i am not sure about.
Thank you for any help and guidance.

OK, when you unzip this or untar or make cpio, you will get Disk1, Disk2, Diskn folders, the mount for this could be anywere, even if they are in different mount points of folders, it's better to have them all in a same folder cause the installer will find the disks by his own, but ifyou have them in diferent folders, the installer will ask for the directory where the disk are.
    Hope this helps

    Thanks for the tip.
Correct me if I am wrong but you have set up SLED SP1 connecting to an OS like (RHEL 4/OEL 4,SuSE 9) using VMWare Server. What OS is SLED?
I chose SUSE 10.3 as its free and I want to set up apps server for purely training purposes. Do you know of a free linux OS that is certified to run AS 10g 10.1.2.0.2?
    Thanks

Ok, first thing, why are you doing anything with WAMP or XAMPP when you're running a Mac? MAMP should be what you want unless you're not explaining part of what you are trying to do.
2nd thing, I haven't used MAMP in a while, but there are two possibilities for not seeing what you want to see once you have MAMP turned on. One possibility is that you already have "Web Sharing" turned on in your Sharing Preference Pane. If that is the case, port 80 will already be taken and you'll be seeing the default Apache install (files are stored at /Library/WebServer/Documents/). This would push MAMP to either not turn on it's web serving capabilities, or to push it to another port. The other possibility is that MAMP defaults to another port anyway. So instead of localhost, you might have to type in localhost:8080 or something similar. I believe the control panel that gets installed can take you to the currently MAMP-served page, and it can also help you change which port your serving on.
80 is the default port for web serving and the ONLY port that will let you get straight to the server without having to type in webaddress.com:port# instead of just webaddress.com.

  • Recent install of Norton Internet Security 2007 and Itunes ver. 7.0.2.16

    For Your Information-
Recently did an install of Norton Internet Security 2007. Before the install "I used the Norton removal tool to uninstall NIS 2004."
Install of NIS 2007 seemed to go OK until I later opened i-tunes and message appeared
"I Tunes not properly installed. If you wish to import or burn CD's you must reinstall."
Opened i-tunes and clicked about to see if drivers/dll were present(where you see itunes version # as screen scrolls up). The driver/dll were not present.
I went to add/remove programs, highlighted itunes but instead of clicking on remove I clicked on "additional support information" where you are given the option to REPAIR. Did the repair/opened itunes and all seems to be OK for now

I think that always happens when you use the Norton removal tool.
A repair of install of iTunes worked for me too.

  • I recently install Lion OS on my iMac and just found out that my Canon 4400F scanner won't work with Lion, what can I do to get it working again?

I am having trouble with some of my previously installed software before installing the New Lion OS. I just found this evening that my Canon 4400F Scanner will no longer work with the new OS. I need to know if there is a solution for this short of buying a new scanner? I am also upset that my Microsoft Office Professional will no longer boot as well. Anyone know why this took place?

If it will not longer work due to Lion, it's most likely becasuse no drivers for Lion have been released.  No way to get aroud it other than going back to Snow Leopard.  MS Office wont work if it is '04 or earlier becasue it is a PPC application.  Mac switched from PPC to Intel in 2006 and created the Rosetta emulator to allow companies to make their software compatable or allow users to buy new software.  After 5 years, Rosetta support was dropped, with the release of Lion.  No way to get this software to work with Lion.

    Dear Experts,

My problem is the size of Oracle_Home which is now 5.15 GB. Which may effect on performace of OAS as currently i need to restart the report server daily.
    Please let me help for..
1- What to do with size of Oracle_Home?
2- Do I need to delete some files? i.e log files of chache files, if YES then please tell us the directories to delete the files from.?
    Any other idea...
    Please help...

Sure, try to delete old log files of $OH/Apache/Apache/logs, $OH/opmn/logs, $OH/webcache/logs, if the logs are in use you can try either stop services, delete files and start services or for unix use *>filename.log* to clear it, I dont recoment last one.
Also, in httpd.conf file you can turn the sensitivity of the log from warn to Alert so it will write less in the logs.

  • BIG-IP Timeout with OAS 10g 10.1.2.0.2

We have installed OAS 10g 10.1.2.0.2 in two servers which are Load-balanced using hardware load balancer BIG-IP configuration.
10g As installation is done along with Infrastructure + Middle-tier.
But after all configuration after we run the Oracle forms application and keep it idle for more than one hour, Database connection with the Application server is disconnected due to Global Idle Timeout value of 1 hr in BIG-IP configuration.
Is there any Timeout parameter in OAS 10g 10.1.2.0.2 which can override the Idle Timeout value of BIG-IP Configuration.
Appreciate your response at the earliest.
    Thank you.

My first thought is that you suggest the app server to database connection is timing out - I'm assuming you're not using the load balancer to balance sqlnet connections so are we actually talking about a firewall in between and not the Big IP?
If it is the load balancer then, looking at this another way... on Cisco CSS 11500 series you can definitely set the timeout on the load balancer to a specific value (or to never timeout), so you can probably do the same on the Big IP.
Note: I wouldn't recommend setting the connections to never timeout as this can potentially waste memory on your load balancers which might look like a memory leak after, say, 6 months in a production environment without a reboot.
    Hope this helps.
