Our business requirement is as follows:
A Service Provider for a company should be able to view and change status of the Complaints and General Activities registered in his geographical area and later can assign a Service Technician to the customer.
(The Complaints registered in their Call center which in turn integrated through Mobile Infrastructure to the respective Service Provider)
They are on CRM 4.0 with backend R/3
suggest us how to go about it

Please help me in diplaying backend (i.e., created in CRM) Complaints and Activities on ICSS b2b screen.
Currently, we could able to display the complaints and activities created on Web after logging in as b2b contact person. But when we click on the transaction number link, it it not displaying the details.
We need the details to be displayed to change the status of the complaint
Is the TREX mandatory for such scenario?

Customization and Enhancment of ICSS B2B 5.0 (Java )
Hi,
I have to customize and enhance the functionality of CRM 5.0 ICSS B2B web front end.
i studied the ISA50DevExtGuideConcepts21.pdf document,according to the document i am using NWDS for development.
I am following the below mentioned methodology.
1 > Downloaded NWDS 7.0
2> Configured the NWDS to point to remote j2ee engine
(WindowPreferencesSAP J2ee Engine
Message server host
Message Server Port )
3> Got the latest source code i.e sap.comcrmicsswebicss_b2b.war
extracted the source code.
4> created An Enterprise Application Project
5> Created Web Module Project
6> Added the created Web Module Project into the Enterprise Application Project
7> Followed the 1017761 note to deploy the standard application with different name
8> Generated the custom_app.ear file.(J2EE Explorer Perspective)
9> Deployed the application using NWDS deploy option.(J2EE Explorer Perspective custom_app.earright click u will have option for deploy onto j2ee engine--asks SDM password)
when i try to access the deployed custom application using
http://host:port/custom_app/init.do
i am getting the following error
Application error occurred during request processing.
Details: Error [javax.servlet.ServletException: Initialization of Extended Configuration Management failed.].
Exception id: [0014C265B0070079000006E900006B000004310E29004C31]
when i access the http://host:port/custom_appt/admin/index.jsp
i am getting an empty Menu page .no links for XCM admin
SAP support suggested me to apply the patch.my java stack is at SP11 and
in sync with 979884 note patch also.
but still getting the error.
here my question is am i following proper methodology or u find any gaps in the procedure.
i studied in the ISA50DevExtGuideConcepts21.pdf some where they said
about the enabling the debugging and about DTR ,if find any details do let me know asap.

I have the same problem, and I also have SAP-CRMDIC 5.0 SP6 (1000.5.0.6.0.20060914084317) deployed. Could you please advise why am I not able to see XCM config? or the whole of the admin.
I am using my custom application and deployed the ear through NWDS.

Hi All,
We are trying to personalize ICSS B2B application in CRM 2007 using NWDS. I have downloaded the sap.comcrmicsswebicss_b2b.war file to development system and extracted the same. I have added the extracted files to the web application project in the NDWS.
We have made the personalization and deployed the file successfully to the server.
But when we launch the application using the url http://<Server name>:<port>/icss_b2bnew we are getting the following error.
500 Internal Server Error
Application error occurred during the request procession.
Details: com.sap.engine.services.servlets_jsp.server.exceptions.WebIOException:
Error parsing [/start.jsp] of alias [icss_b2bnew] of J2EE application [sap.com/crm~icss_b2bnew].
Please pass on your valuable inputs on how to resolve this issue.

Hi Experts,
I am configuring ICSS B2B & B2C scenarios. I am able to create a transaction through B2B user & this is visible in GUI & Web UI also. But when i try to search this transaction on B2B portal, it shows me the result as one hit found but it does not display the contents of search i.e. request type, request date etc..
Similar function is working fine on B2C scenario. There i am able to search for transactions cretaed by B2C user & it is displaying all contents perfectly.
Can somebody help in this regard.

Could you check the XCM settings for the component service request.After configuring the component ,you should that user defined component in the Application configuration.

ICSS B2B Standard SO10 text in problem description not shown in ICSS
Hi all,
we have created a standard text in SO10 which should be determined in the problem description field in a service ticket using standard text determination customizing and an access sequence using a copy of the standard function module.
This works fine in the web UI (and GUI). But the standard text does not appear in e-service. We actually created the standard text for e-service purposes because it serves as a questionnaire to make sure the customers give us all required info.
Does anyone know how the text can be displayed in ICSS application ?

[ICSS B2B] Problem when creating a service request due to language
Hi everyone.
We have a web portal based on icss_b2b wich is linked with our backend (CRM).
On the web portal, we should be able to create service requests and it works fine when we are using english.
But if we log using german language, when we try to create a service request we have an error and creation ins't done.
Do we need do to do any configuration in the xcm ? Crm ? to allow to create service request in a new language ?

We are facing the same problem, were you able to solve this?
Our Portal takes the language from the browser but we only want to allow people access to ICSS in French and English.
Example:
If browser language = French --> French ICSS
If browser language = English --> English ICSS
If browser language = Dutch --> English ICSS (English = default language)

Hi,
Currently in the ICSS when registering on the B2C site, the registered user is assigned the reference user in the system as standard. However on the ICSS B2B site the registered user is not assigned the reference user as standard. Also when the B2B registered company is created it is not created with the role 'Sold-to party' and there is no where in the configuration (IMG) where you can make this setting. Therefore our B2B registered users are not being replicated back into R/3.
We need the registered B2B organisations and contact persons to be replicated back into R/3. The B2C registered users are being replicated back into R/3.
I was wondering whether anyone has come across this issue and any help would be much appreciated.

Would it be possible to get some furhter information on the Business process that you are folloing. From your reply I see that you are using the ICSS_B2B scenarion but in this case there is no registration page for users, this is available in the ICSS_B2C scenario.
Typically the useradmin for the B2B users can be done in a few different methods.
1. In the isauseradm application,
2. Through transaction BP or Web UI.

Setup of FAQs and solution search in ICSS webshop
Dear SAP SDN team
We are currently using SAP CRM 7.0 EHp1.
As per SAP standard best practise, we have configured the ICSS scenarios and setup the FAQs , solution search and live web collaboration.
We are able to login the ICSS B2B and B2C webshops but when we choose FAQs and solution search we do not see any results .. The categories I created for FAQs are not available in the icss and the solution search does not get any results. All XCM settings seem to be fine .
The CRM solution is correctly connected to the TREX system , but not sure where things are going wrong
Could you please help .?

The following are the pre-requisites to search the result.
1). You have to configure the necessary settings for SAF.
Spro - CRM - Enterprises Intelligence - SAF
2). You have defined the problems and solutions.
Easy Acccess - Service - Enterprises Intelligence - Define Problems & Solutions
3).You have maintained FAQ in the backend for a particular product.
Easy Acccess - Service - Enterprises Intelligence - Maintain FAQ
5). RFC connections has been cheked with the Trex.

4). You should compile the same .

After all these steps the data will reflect in the search.

Deploy Internet Sales B2B/B2C Web- Application for CRM 5.0
Dear all,
We upgraded to CRM 5.0. Because of the CRM 5.0, we had to use the SAP Developerstudio (Eclipse) and the new J2EE Engine.
I deployed the B2C shop application, but i get a confusing error message, if i try to visit the login page.
Error [javax.servlet.ServletException: Initialization of Extended Configuration Management failed.
Could not initialize XCM configuration in Database.
Check if you have deployed the Software Component 'SAP JAVA DATA DICTIONARY 5.0'].
Exception id: [0013CE89C2FB00750000005700005870000429479003B101]
If i try to access the admin page ".../b2c/admin", i get a page without the menu entries. No XCM Link, No Version info, and so on. If i try to access the XCM manuelly "...b2c/admin/xcm/init.do", then a get again the error above.
Someone can help, where i can find the "SAP JAVA DATA DICTIONARY" and what i have to do for the deployment?

Can I run a ICSS B2B Application without Trex.
Our Client does not want search ability and we are using ICSS for a single issue ( Customer Serial Number Validation)
Is there any way i can do without Trex being installed.

Are you talking about implementing succession planning using eRecruiting which a talent development specialist can do? If so, then TREX is required for search. All the serach related applications requires.
One of the critical steps in a succession planning process is to assign potential candidates for a job to a requisition(succession plan) & then evaluate them. This CANNOT happen without TREX. Only after you search candidates, you can assign them to a plan.
There are a host of things you can still do in eRecruiting without TREX but without this, the process is not complete.
Unless the succession planning process is vastly different from what SAP provides & you are willing to develop an elaborate application to cater to your needs, TREX is required in eRecruiting for succession planning.

Achieving deep link in ICSS for a business transaction
Hello Experts,
Whether SAP supports the deep link option like,
Is it possible for the user to directly navigate to a CRM transaction Id (Ex.service ticket no.) via an email content after login.
I tested the URL generated in history section of SAP standard ICSS B2B application. It logs in to the application normally but how can we directly take the user to view the Service ticket in this case.
If anybody has done this kindly share the way you've implemented.

Enabling the requested action in Item selection in ICSS
Hello ICSS experts,
In ICSS B2B, I'm trying to create a complaint.
During this process I'm not able to see the "Requested Action" DDLB field (after Reference Object) under Item Selection block.
How to make this field available in the item selection?
