IGI Budget Posted???

Hi,
I am on Oracle 11.5.9.
our users wanted a query for Next Year Budget figures using the OPSFI budget functionality.
I created a SQL script for this, but my problem is that sometimes Budget Journals are deleted, and NOT posted in core GL, but the Budget figures still exist in the OPSFI tables (yes I know it is all CORE now, but you know what I mean!)
I can find no explicit link between igi_bud_journal_headers, igi_bud_journal_batches, igi_bud_journal_lines => igi_int_headers etc to be able to tell if a budget is posted.
Is there anyway around this??
I had thought there might be a last hope in the journal names, BUT the journal name that gets posted only includes so many characters from the original, so this is not helpful.
Anyone??
BTW - I include my script as being potentially helpful to other users and to aid understanding of my issue.

  • Transaction types of Budget posting & Budget reservation

    Hi All,
I'm working on CRM MDF (Market development fund). I want to maintain Budget posting & Budget reservation in MDF. For this, first I must maintain these two transaction types, but I'm unable to find these two transactions. If anybody knows please do help me.

    Hi Chandra,
The functions in Budget Control System is to support budget planning, budget execution and allow you to monitor the availability of funds.
The budget control system (BCS) in Funds Management is an alternative to former budgeting.
BCS is designed to allow flexible customer-specific adjustments to all important functions. BCS is SAPu2019s strategic budgeting tool.

    which t code.
    Regards,
    juhi

    Hi,
One way of looking at this is to view the line item report of the assignmnets. For instance, if you linke a WBS to the TM structureand assign the budget. You can go to CJI8 and run the report for this project / WBS. In here you can see the documnet number and the details for the same. Hope this helps.

  • Budget Posting and Funds Management

    Hi,
Can some one tell me how I can setup a budget in a fund?  I currently can create a fund and then when I try to do a budget posting update w/exp BPUE, it will not allow me to enter a posting amount.
So I can create a budget posting,  but when I save it, I get and error asking to provide a posting amount.  The problem is the posting amount field is greyed out.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Eric

    Hi Maz,
In BCS, you create a plan structure each year like 2008, 2009, 2010 and you create budget adresses in the 2008 plan structure and posting adresses in 2008 plan structure
Budget adresses are saved in the ledger 9F and posting adresses are saved in the ledger 9A and AVC in ledger 9H
When you create budget and posting adresses in plan structure this means that only thoses combinations Funds, Funds center, commitment item will have budget in FMBB and will be used in earmarked funds and real postings like 9A
Simply if budget adress is not created you acn not enter a budget in 9F table FMBDT
If posting adress is not created you can not for example create a funds commitment with FMZ1. any way to update the table FMIOI or impossible to create an invoice with FB60 referencing the funds commit in order to update the table FMIFIIT
AT closing you copy the different budget adresses and the posting adresses in the next plan structure for example 2009. There is a tcode for that.
I hope i have been clear

  • Funds Management - Budget Posting

    Hi experts,
I set up a fund management scenario with SAP CRM 6.0, then I'm trying to test it on WEB UI but I'm facing an issue which I'm not able to solve.
The issue regards the Budget Posting functionality, specifically everytime I try to transfer budget from one fund to another the system gives me the following error: "Budget Consumption is 100.00 percent of total available budget (check level FU_FND)".
In the error details the sistem tell me that the budget consumption/total available budget ratio is over the defined tolerance limits. Please adjust your posting amounts.
Of course I tried to do it with the lowest amount but it doesn't work.
Then, I guess I did a mistake during the configuration.
Anyone who can help me working this problem out?
    Thanks a lot!
    Regards

    Hi Gabriele,
the msg is raised as per the availability control set up - please check the following customizing:
    Customer Relationship Management
    Funds Management
    Availability Control (AVC)
There please check the AVC profile assigned and the tolerance profiles.
    best regards,

  • Issue in Budget posting

    Dear Friends
I am using SAP Business One 2005A (SP01 and PL 39).
I had defined next fiscal year in B1 and trying to post budget using DI API. For the current fiscal year its creating perfectly but when i am trying to create budget for the next fiscal year its creating only budget scenario not complete budget even its not giving any error.
When i looked into database table i found that its inserting budget lines with current fiscal year. Its should take year from budget scenario.
Please help me how to resolve this problem.

    Hello Ravikiran
Since your request is rather sparse on details I can give only a rather broad answer.
You say that calling the BAPI with the same input data (all periods have zero amount) works in one client but not the others. Now I see two possible reasons for that:
    (1) The message (probably FMKU 015) is a quite FI-specific message. Therefore, I assume that the FI-Customizing for "Grants budgets" differs on the two client.
    (2) If the client are on different SAP systems I can imagine that you have user-exits active on one system but not the other (the BAPI contains the BAdI exit 'BAPI_0036').

  • Budget posting by GL account and period

    Dear Gurus,
Is it possible to create budget by GL acct & period in former budgetting?
Which config should I set to enable this?
    Thank you,
    Siva

    Hi,
First of all, budget in FM is not managed by G/L accounts, but by FM objects, e.g. commitment item, fund centre, etc.
Second, what is your question exactly? Managing budget by period is possible in BCS in ECC 6.04 package, but there are workarounds, where you can manage period via some FM object, like fund. I.e. you will have 12 funds for every month and you budget it accordingly.

    Eli

  • Post budget document from approved pre-posted budget document workflow

    Hi,
We are using budget version "0" for AVC Check and "1" for provision budget used for sending further approvals.
I am uploading provisional budget i.e Pre-posted budget with version "1"  and sending  two levels for approvals by using SAP Standard workflow.
If pre-posted budget document approved by 2 levels, what is impact on budget posted document?
                       a) Will Pre-posted approved document be convert into Actual budget document with Version "0" (or)
                       b) Will Pre-posted document remain same by updating status with "approved", there by User again needs to post actual budget document with Version "0" by using "FMBB"
    Please help me
    Regards
    Sam

    CA Sam,
The Pre-posted document will remain the same i.e.approved version 1. In order to create version 0 you can copy from version to version.
    Thanks

  • Budget Structure, Posting Address and Budgeting Address Error

    Hi All,
I am having a big issue with Budgeting and posting of expenditure against budgets. Whenever, I try to create a vendor invoice for my system where FM has been configured I get the following error.
FM account assignment Grant/Fund/Fund Center/Commitment Item/Functional Area/Funded Program cannot be posted in posting ledger 9A.
    Message no. FMBS123
Please if anybody has any idea of how I can resolve this, I will be very grateful. I understand that it has to do with posting addresses and budgeting structure but I have searched so much and could not find a way to create a budget structure or assign the posting address to it. Please this is urgent and I will be very happy if it is resolved as soon as possible.
    Cheers

    Hi,
Budget/posting addresses are maintained via FMBSBO/FMBSPO transactions. Before creating a new posting address you'd better consult with someone who has a grasp of your budget activities.
    Regards,
    Eli

  • Prevent negative budget after a transfer (pre-post status)

I have a situation where the system allows budget transfers (with insufficient budget) to pre-post using FMBB. The scenario is as follows...
                           Cur      Exp   Avail
    FundCenterA     100     50     50
    FundCenterB     200     25     175
Although only 50 is available in fund center A, the system allows the user to pre-post a transfer for more than 50 (75 for instance) from fund center A to B.
After the initiator creates the pre-post transfer document, approval of the transfer is attempted by a budget analyst, but the document remains in pre-post status and the analyst can't take any further action.
Can preventing this be accomplished through consistency checks causing the initiator to get a hard error? If so, how or why not? If it cannot be done using consistency checks then what are my choices.

I looked back at note 983853.  The last bullet under the solution suggested...
"Create and assign a tolerance profile that contains absolute variances, which triggers an error message for the absolute variance equal to the value 0."
Instead of creating a new tolerance profile which I have attempted in the past, I changed the existing profile to include absolute variances as well as usage rates...and added two separate tolerance limits for activity of posted budget 90 and budget posted provisionally 95 and set them for absolute variance only of the value 0.
Both 90 and 95 had to be changed because...
When only activity 95 is changed for absolute variance, the check document feature (F7) does not detect a negative budget but attempting to pre-post will result in an error.
When only activity 90 is changed for absolute variance, the check document feature detects the negative budget but pre-post will not detect an error and allow the user to proceed.
Therefore both 90 and 95 are needed together.

  • Item 010 Fund Center/Commit Payment Budget Exceeded (FM)

    Hi Expertise,
Our user executing FMJ2 transaction to carry forward purchase requisition (PR) / Purchase Order (PO) from 2014 to 2015 (April to March) by that time getting the below error message, but budgets are available for 2015.
Item 010 Fund Center/Commit Payment Budget Exceeded
Another user also facing the similar issue while create new PR in the current FY-2015 with different commitment item & fund center, still getting the same error, but budgets are available for 2015.
Kindly share your views and ideas, its urgent.
    Thanks,
    Jammy

    Hi Jammy,
Please check the following hints about this matter:
    1) To be on the safe side, please run report RFFMRC04 in test mode, to see if there are differences between the line items and totals table.
If errors arise, please run it in update mode, whithout other budgeting/posting activities occurring at the same time (otherwise you may encounter differences). Then, please reconstruct the AVC totals (FMBV for Former budgeting, FMAVCREINIT for BCS).
    2) Reassignment during fiscal year change also uses the Derivation strategy for reassignment (transaction FMYC). Please verify if you have defined in FMYC a different FM account assignment (funds center and commitmente item) than the one that you are expecting.
I am not sure if you have Former Budgeting or BCS, therefore consider also the following:
    3) IF you are using Former Budgeting, I guess you are getting BP629. Please check report BPINDAN2_NEW and  if the 'Assigned budget' is same as the 'Commitments/actuals' the values are ok and budget is missing. If the values are different, you must run report BPINDX03 (FMBV) first to correct it.
    4) IF you are using BCS, I guess you are getting FMAVC* message. For this, use transaction FMAVCR01 to verify your budget consumption and make sure that the budget was updated for payment budget not commitment budget (as per the error message that you are receiving).
    5) Please check how this UOM (unit of measure) is defined in transaction CUNI.
In this transaction, you can set the Value-based commitment indicator.
This indicator controls whether commitments for the chosen unit of measure are
recorded on a quantity basis or a value basis. If the indicator is not set, the
commitments are managed on a quantity basis. If you set the indicator they are
    managed on a value basis.
For value-based updates, the reduction of purchase order commitments occurs
with the maximum of goods receipt and/or invoice value. For
quantity-based commitments, the reduction of purchase order commitments occurs
with the maximum of goods receipt and/or invoice quantity.
    Example:
You create a purchase order with the quantity of 1000 at the price of 10.
You post a goods receipt related to this PO with the quantity of 500 at the
    price of 9.
For value-based updates, an amount of 4,500 is updated.
For quantity-based updates, an amount of  5,000 is updated.
    I hope this helps.
    Regards, Vanessa.
