In attempting to burn playlists onto new CD's, iTunes regularly completes half the burn, stops, ejects the CD and issues error msg. #4900. Although there appears to have been similar problems for some time, I cannot locate any suggestions for fixing the problem. I have installed the newest version of iTunes but that does not appear to have any effect on the problem. Thoughts?
I had the same problem after updating my DVD-Drive Firmware.
Disabling the Option to burn "CD TEXT" solved my problem. Hope that helps !!

On OSX 10.6.8 Mac Mail sent items do not show the Bcc field. Adjusting settings in mail/prefs/viewing/custom/bcc has no affect on Mail, ie Bcc still does not appear on sent items. Yet another example of Mac caring not a jot about the performance of versions of OS and software running on on older hardware. Anyone got a fix by any chance? Oh and fyi I need to see the Bcc in sent items to confirm sent email is attaching to Salesforece - when I see the Bcc I know I can delete it as a copy will be in SForce. Big thanks W.

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

see the link on the right with the highlighted tick. In short click on the apple icon at top left and choose the wayward app from the 'force quit' dialogue. Another way is to put an icon in the dock for the Apple utility, "Activity Monitor". Set it to show all users processes and highlight that for the wayward app. The choose 'Quit Process'. BE CAREFUL, do not choose the low number processes which are fundamental operations for the whole OS. -
My iphone 4 froze then shut down and now will not turn on.
i was opening an app when my phone froze, i held the power button till it turned off. it then took over 2 mins to switch off, it will now not turn on or charge. my laptop does not reconise that it is connected to it. any ideas?
Connect iPhone to Wall Charger and Reset, hold both Home and Power Buttons until the iPhone begins to start. Can take around 20 seconds of holding both buttons.

Mac Book Pro version (10.6.i) Snow Leopard.
I am an inexperience user and recently acquired Final Cut Pro to supplement my Imove application.
My question is - How can I instruct F C Pro to automatically convert 4:9 aspect material (old cine and standard 8 recordings) to 16:9 aspect.
At the moment I am adjusting each clip manually to fit 16:9, not a very good way to proceed! I have no problem with Imovie in this respect and wonder if
F C Pro offers the same facillity? Can not find any clues either from Apple store or elsewhere.You mean 14:9, right?? 8mm film frame aspect ratio is 1.58. I find it hard to believe that your telecined video has the same aspect as the original film unless it has been explicitly trimmed to those dimensions. If that's the case, it's pillarboxed in the 16:9 format or letterboxed in the 4:3 format.
You could try to select all your clips and in the Video Inspector > Spatial Conform, select Fill. This will cause your clips to expand to fill the 16:9 "space". This also means that portions of the edges will "overflow" the boundaries of the modern frame (most likely the top and bottom edges.) It shouldn't be that much and if you're telecined film is letterboxed in 4:3, it will be a lot less so afterwards!
You can also select all your clips, assuming they are all the same dimensions, and adjust the (Video > Transform > ) Scale in "one throw" (if you turn down the disclosure triangle you can adjust width and height independently—I am assuming that since you want it to fit, you don't mind minor stretching.) -
I have attempted to restore and import the former bookmarks, but I do not know where to look for the files. On a windows XP service pack 2 desktop computer, I upgraded from 3.6 to 15 last night and all bookmarks are gone. Please help me find where to look for them. Thanks
Do you see any JSON backups in the bookmarkbackups folder with a file size large enough that they can contain your bookmarks?

There is no way to copy or export username, password, or website information in Firefox's password manager.
I do not know of a straightforward way of printing passwords.
One method is to use the Password Exporter add-on, with it you can export the passwords to either a CSV or XML files. These files are readable and can be printed off, but do contain superfluous information. It sounds like the proximity sensor is acting up. To test it, make a phone call and use your hand to cover the top 1"-1 1/2" of the screen (where the sensor is located). The screen should blank out, if it doesn't, you need to make an appointment with an Apple Store or call Apple to get it repaired/replaced. If it does blank, check how you are holding the phone to your ear, you may not be holding it in a way that the sensor can tell it's at your ear.

I took 6 panorama shots of a scene and used CC to Photomerge them as one. Couldn't see where to automatic blend the edges and there was 'stitch' lines when the images were merged. So i did the same in Elements 11 and it was perfect. Am i doing something wrong in CC or perhaps not doing something at all?
Any help, please?
DaveHi - Thanks for taking the time to reply and i appreciate the remarks- if a little harsh- we all have to start somewhere and i am fully aware of the limitations of Elements which is why i decided to add CC to my software. I can only say that if an inferior quality software from Adobe does the job well then CC must also be suited to doing the same which is why i can only think, from your comments, that i have not done something simple- however- following tutorials to get to the end result should have sufficed- it didn't so perhaps i will consider posting the difference between the two applications- and, perhaps suffer a few more 'harsh' comments. The learning curve is quite steep and i am a visual learner, but i'm also not totally incompetent:)

First a clarification: you are not addressing Adobe here in these user forums. You are requesting help from volunteers users just like you who give their time free of charge. No one has any obligation to answer your questions.
I'll give it my best shot anyway.
Few folks in this forum are really familiar with Elements, for which there's a dedicated, totally separate forum.
Different engineering teams, also.
From this perspective, it will be difficult to give you a direct answer to your "why?" question.
Personally, I blend very large panorama shots in Photoshop proper since I can't even remember when without any issues whatsoever, up to and including in Photoshop CS6 13.0.6.
Without being at your computer and without looking at your images, I couldn't even begin to speculate what you are doing wrong in Photoshop, which I suspect you are. The least you could show is post examples from your panoramas that have gone wrong.
I can tell you that panorama stitching requires significant overlap between the individual shots, besides common-sdense techniques like a very solid tripod and precision heads.
The only version of Elements I have ever used for any significant time was Elements 6 for Windows, which I bought in 2008 to use on a PC (I've been an avid Mac user for 30 years). I found Elements so limited and so bad that I successfully demanded a refund from Adobe. IU mention this only to emphasize that I can truly only address your question from a Photoshop (proper) and Mac user point of view. I couldn't care less about Elements, but if you have comparison examples of panoramas processed in both applications, by all means post those two.
Generally speaking Photoshop is a professional level application that makes no apologies for its very long and steep learning curve, while Photoshop has many hand-holding features for amateurs and beginners.
Perhaps the bottom line is that you should stick with Elements if you personally manage to get better results there.
