Individual object settype in installed base

Hi,
We have created many set types for individual objects. So,If I go to Individual object application I get a new tab general where all these fields displayed.
But we need those details in the installed base application itself, while clicking the corresponding individual object.
Is there any way to get it done without writing Model access class for installed base application.
Thanks and Regards,
Abdul Raheem .S

Hi Abdul,
This is a new feature for CRM 5.0. To implement this in CRM 4.0 is very difficult because several components are affected. New functionality have to be implemented for the ibase access class, product (iobject) access class and for the settype generation (TA COMM_HIERARCHIE etc.).
At first the settype generation has to be modified, because if you create or change any settypes in TA COMM_HIERARCHY, several entries in the different tables of the TA CRMC_BLUEPRINT have to be generated. In CRM4.0 these entries will be generated only for the product or iobject application (both use the same access class).
Then you have to modify the product(iobject) access class: You need a method to set the product guid external and you need a method to control the display mode (if the ibase is locked, no changes at the settypes are allowed, because it is possible that someone edit them in the SAPGUI (IB52)).
At last you have to modify the access class for the ibase application to handle the product specific data. In this class you have to map the ibase component object key to the product(iobject) guid and you have to call the CHECK_ACTIVE_TABSTRIP method of the product access class before the controller with the settypes tabstrip is displayed the first time (the product tabstrip contains all entries for all settypes and with the first call the access class filters these entries ->product guid->category->settypes).
Sorry, but a simple implementation is not possible and its not recommended to modify the above mentioned transaction or access classes. In CRM 5.0 this is a standard feature in the ibase application of the pc-ui.
Best regards,
Oliver

  • Equipment hierarchy with Non serialized products to Installed base in CRM

    Hi,
I have just performed an equipment download from R/3 to CRM. I now have these records created as individual objects assigned to an installed base.
However my equipment record in R/3 has Serialized Products as well as non serialized products in form of BOM (bill of material).
Example: Equipment Hierarchy (In R/3 )
10123428  Main Equipment have 2 non serialized product
199-012100         (Non serialized product under this equipment)
270-012200         (Non serialized product under this equipment)
10123429         Subordinate equipment to main equipment
                                  (Serialized  product )
340-070800  (Non serialized product under this 2nd equipment)
270-562700  (Non serialized product under this 2 nd equipment)
The Main equipment(10123428) is created as installed base in CRM successfully.
The Subordinate Serialized product (10123429) to main equipment is created as individual object under this Installed base of the Main equipment properly.
But the non serialized products (199-012100,270-012200 ) for main equipment  and non serialized products (340-070800 ,270-562700)for the subordinate serialized product are not coming in CRM .
Because When I go to IB53 transaction there is no entry in the components in the product Tab under product id column.
Has anyone replicated R/3 equipment records with BOM structure into CRM and got their Non serialized products visible in the components of the Individual objects.
Any help would be most appreciated.
    Regards,
    Rahul

    Hi Prabhakaran,
You can filter the data downloaded from R/3 to CRM based on the filter criteria assigned to adapter objects. You can do this via transaction R3AC1 wherein you specify the table and fields based on which you want to filter out the data.
For Serial Numbers and Equipments the business objects are SERIAL and EQUIPMENT respectively.

  • Installed Base Installation Rules

    Hello All
Does any one have any documentation on how to set up Installation rules for IBase customizing.
Would appreciate it if someone could share some documentation or tips?
    Thanks
    M

    Hi Maninder,
Installation rules for each installed base category, defining which components may be assigned hierarchically to one another.
To define the installation rules for the installed base category selected. To do this, enter the classes of components in the fields: Upper Class and Lower Class and select the Yes field as appropriate. The example shows you possible options:
    For Example:
    1)
    Install base category: 01
    Upper class             : CL_IBASE_CRM_OBJECT
    Lower class             : Blank
    Yes                        : Not checked
This implies that no components may be assigned at a lower level to a component of type 'Individual Object'.
    2)
    Install base category: 01
    Upper class             : CL_IBASE_CRM_OBJECT
    Lower class             : CL_IBASE_CRM_OBJECT
    Yes                        : checked
This implies that one component of the same type may be assigned at a lower level to a component of type 'Individual Object'.
The classes which can be assigned can be seen in table T371D
    Wish the information is helpful.

  • Installed Base CRM Service

    Hello!
I'm busy with the implementation of an Installed base with various attributes and set types. I have also set up an Object family which is connected to my created Ibase category and the settypes. I searched for information to get it visual in the screens when you create an Ibase and I found information about hierarchy maintenance and categories. Although I created my own hierarchy with category and I linked my settypes to it I cannot get it into process!
Can someone tell me what to do for getting this working?!! Thanks!
    Kind regards, Femke Visser

    HI Femke Visser
<b>A)</b> Assign the Object family to Install Base Category, Follow the Menu Path to assign
IMG->Customer Relationship Management ->Master Data ->Installed Base ->Individual Objects/ Object Family -> Assign Object family to Installed base Categories
<b>B)</b> Create the categories and hierarchies you require for your object families. At least one of these categories must be created within the base hierarchy for the product type Material and then assigned to the relevant object family.
    1) To create Category go to T.code COMM_HIERARCHY and <b>in the Tab "Category" you will find a field called "Object Family", choose the right Object family</b>
    2) In the Tab "Set Types" add the set types you want to include
Refer the link below, which will give some insight about the Set Types and Hierarchy and Categories

  • Identification field in installed Base-CRM Service

We are creating installed base components from ECC to CRM ie, from equipments in CS module to installed base objects in CRM.
The serial number entered in ECC flows in to CRM Service in component details tab in individual obejct automatically.
equipments created in IE01 will flow to CRM and can be viewed in ib53.
We want to copy the serial number field to identification field to enable better search capabilities.

  • Product registration--- individual object- installed base

    HI all,
As soon as i register the products in ICSS, it creates individual objects.
1)HOw can it be automatically added to Existing ibase of customer?
    2) Or how can it be created itself automatically as Installed base.
Please  give me some valuable suggestions .
    Thanks,
    Priya

    Hi Priya,
The product registration process in ICSS is the creation of a standalone individual object. If you want to have an ibase node created please use the ibase functionality and add a node component (product or object)  to an existing ibase or create a new ibase.

  • Installed Base / Fleet Objects - Plant Maintenance Module

    Dear Experts,
Can anyone guide me what are fleet objects and Installed base in relation with Plant Maintenanace Module?
Please do throw some light on it.
    Thanks
    DM

    Hello Deepak,
IBASE -> A collection of function modules used for VC or Hierarchcal structures.
Fleet   -> Is used for example if you have to maintain many vehicals i. e. car park etc.
this is the easiest way to describe the use of both elements.
    Hope that this helps

  • Import data external system in PCUI SAP CRM install base Object fact sheet

I want to import data from third party system to Object fact sheet of install base. Please let me know the possible way to do so. Do I need to import data in BI and then to Object fact sheet?

    Hi Pankaj,
If you have seperate BI server also alongwith the CRM system as back end. Then IU can create two seperate iviews of the two fact sheets hitting different servers e.g.if this is telecom perspective then In one pcui screen you can give two iviews one will fetch data from CRM server and populate 360 degree view of the customer whereas the BI iview will have multiple line level display of the last bills generated which we can see in detail also by hitting the same iview.

  • Installed base object family determination

    Hi all,
I have requirement for determining installed base object family,
i am trying to use CRM_EQUI_LOAD badi ,
the thing is when we get material number, using this material number we need to change the object family of the
    material.
DETERMINE_OBJECT_FAMILY does not take materila number as input,
please suggest some solution for object family change.
    Thanks,
    Sushant

    Sushant,
You can use the Function Module 'CRM_ICSS_GET_COMPONENT_DETAIL' to get the Object Family detail. You can pass the Ibase and Ibase component number and you will get the details.
FYI - The object family is stored in the table COMM_PRCAT.

  • Individual Object assigned 2 Reference Product

I want to use Individual Object with referencing Data from Products in CRM 5.0 SAPGUI.
    Help link CRM 5.0:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm50/helpdata/en/a9/42388d7cb5c24ba5a3701a13aa9ea4/frameset.htm
    The steps I made:
In trx COMM_HIERARCHY I added the following category:
    R3PRODSTYP
    - MAT
    -- MAT_HAWA
    <i>--- ID_REF  (added)</i>
For cat MAT_HAWA, in tab Relnship Types:
    - PRDSCPS Customer/Distribution Chain for Product
    - IOBMP S IOBMP/S
    - IOBQFRS IOBQFR/S
    - PROREFS Reference Product for Individual Object
    For cat ID_REF:
    Assigned to object family Z001
    Additional Settype            ZS0001
I have created a material Z900016 of the type MAT_HAWA,
In the Installed Base 100, I created a component Building A. Tab Product I added the created material Z900016. Tab Individual Object I added Family Z001 and Object ID z1234. After selecting the IO component I press the icon Component Detail.
I can see my additional settype ZS0001 chars but I don't see the reference data of Z900016.
    Any suggestion is appreciated,
    Kim

    Dear Raj,
Thnks for reply but the problem remains. Just to be sure:
Product Z900016 has the category MAT_HAWA. The date maintained for this category is:
    MAT_HAWA:
    - Tab CATEGORY: Product/Object Assignment Possible
    - Tab RELNSHIP TYPES: Reference Product for Indivual Object
One level down of MAT_HAWA the category ID_REF is maintained:
    - Object Family: Z001
    I create IB 415 Customer 01
    - Building A (Text)
    -- 900016 (Product)
    --- Family Z001 (object fam) + Z900016V01 (Object ID)
When I open the pop-up for Object ID you can search using 'REFERENCE PROD ID' but the system doesn't show any hits. When I enter Z900016v01 and select 'Component Detail' I see the own settype and the general settypes of the product. But the date in the general settypes are all empty.

  • Business partner in Fact Sheet for Individual object

    Hi Folks,
I am unable to see the assigned business partners on the Fact Sheet for an Individual object.  I have created the iObject in the portal.  Here, I could not assign any BP's during the creation as the system does not have this option.  I then went ahead and created an Installed Base and assigned this iobject to it in the CRM system in transaction [IB51] "Create Installed Base".  I then went ahead and assigned the Business Partners to this iObject.
The situation is that I can see the assigned Business Partners in the Portal for this iObject/Component for the Installed Base in the "Installed Bases/Components" tab but when i go to the "Fact Sheet for Installed Bases" tab I am unable to see the assigned BP's.
I haven't been able to find any documentation on it either.  Can someone please help.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Did you ever solve this issue?
I too am having the same problem and cannot display the factsheet or summary using the 'Go To' button in EP.
Any help would be much appreciated.

  • How to create an Installed base from the sales order

    Dear Friends,
could any one let me know the process of creating an Installed base with the below process.
Once a sales order is created in SD, an istalled base need to be created in CRM system with reference to sales order.
There are around 50 final products and approximately 2000(BOM)components for each product exists. but the client wants to maintain only few components
like 100 to 200 components in Installed base.
In CRM system, can we maintain Installed base Template with that 100 or 200 components. If yes, how do we assign the Individual objects(Serial numbers) to each component.
    Regards,
    Ven

    Hi Ajay
    there can be two possibilities
Option 1. Create Install base in CRM while creating Sales order in ECC using RFC CRM_IBASE_CREATE. Make some reference  of sales order in the Ibase. later when you move equipments to CRM then you can attach these equipments to Ibase (Already created in Thru RFC)in Badi CRM_EQUI_LOAD(This BAdi is called while moving equipments from ECC to CRM).
Option 2. Don't create Ibase at the creation of Sales order. but while creating Equipment just add some indiacator in the equipment to know which sale sorder this equipments belongs.
and once these equipments moves to CRM. Using the BADI CRM_EQUI_LOAD you can club all the equipments(of same sales order) under one ibase.
