Inspection Lot control GR from external Vendor and Vendor Consignment

Hi Everybody,
We have a material which is received in the plant from external vendor as well as from vendor consignments. The requirement is that when the material comes from external vendor and Inspectin Lots should be created and when it comes from vendor consignment(PO is created with item category K and GR will be done with mvt type 101 K) a lot should not be created.
Can we achieve this ? if yes, please tell me how ?

Can anyone please help in achieving the below scenario:
*Material has been assigned to the inspection type A (one time inspection) has been set as preffered and active in the inspection set up in the material master.
*Quality level has been created for material and vendor such that inspection should be carried out when next stage is 1 and no inspection should carried out when next stage is 2.
*Tasklist has been assigned with material and vendor .
Material can be supplied by different vendors,For this material, inspection should be done only for one vendor and for other vendors there should not be any inspection to be done and no inspection lot should be created.i.e Inspection lot should be created only for one vendor say AA whereas now inspection lot is getting created when goods receipt is done for the purchase order with other vendor BB.
My requirement is the inspection lot should not be created when goods receipt is done with other vendors say BB except AA.
Is there any other way other than using quality info record to achieve this.
I can try with DMR but the thing is there should not be inspection lot created while posting GR.
can anyone suggest me any other way to achieve this requirement.

There are user exits when you create an inspection lot. One of those could be used to suppress the inspection lot. Have you looked at these? Have you researched any QM user exits yourself yet? This isn't the first time this specific question has been asked over the years.
It's not hard and there are lists of QM user exits available all over the internet.
Please do some research.
You can also assign vendors to inspection plans with a DMR that requires one inspection, and than after that creates all skip lot inspections which you automatically close by a batch job. The first lot can be manually forced closed. Thereaftter all receipts would be skipped. Not 100% but pretty darn close. This requires that you know which vendors to assign to which plan. Probably as much data maintenance as maintaing the Q-info records.
And yes.. your client needs to come up with better reasons than "I don't wanna..". It's part of a consultants job to convince them.

Stock relevant inspection lot with return from customer

Dear Gurus,
What settings should I make so that when I make a sales order return from customer, I get a stock relevant inspection lot. What is available for me now is these 2 options:
1. To activate insp. type 06, and upon return, the stock will fall in the returns logic in the storage location, and an inspection lot will be created, but it is not stock relevant.
2. To activate insp. type 05, the stock will fall in the returns logic in the storage location, after that transfer from return to quality using mvt type 457, upon this transfer a stock relevant inp. lot is created.
Both solutions are not suitable for me because for the first option I do not have a stock relevant inp. lot, and for the second option, I loose the refernce to which customer this lot is relevant, and this information is very important for the process.

Well I would suggest to with 1st method as this is standard practice.
No doubt you can have option to inward the material for customer returns directly in to quality inspection also. Follow the following steps.
1.     Assign inspection type 05 in material master
2.     Deactivate inspection type 06
3.     Go To transaction VOV6
4.     Double click on appropriate schedule line category that you are using for your return process
5.     Change movement type there to 655. i.e. returns to quality inspection stock
6.     Run a cycle. As a result of this stock will be posted to QI with stock relevant inspection lot
7.     You can record results and post stock with UD as in normal case of GR.
8.     Do not forget to check the effect of accounting and controlling document for this movement with your FI consultant.

I am in a issue. I have done UD for in process inspection. i.e 03 type. Now when I am looking for the inspection lot updateion to inspection type in QA32 I am not able to find it.
This is a live issue,
Please advice as soon as possible.
I have chaecked all the setting ,I dont think there is any issues in it .

Hey Vivek you ask too many questions at once.
To check the follow - up action. See in the UD screen itself below the ud code you enter.
I checked this & I found :for each order item
batch storage location.
It means it will create inspection lot if any of the mentioned condition changes either order,batch,or storage location. In other words it will create unique inspection lot for Order,Batch and storage location combination.
Now, remember why I have directed to this field because Craig has furnished that it will create a lot with 04 type as soon as you release the order but for that you need to select the option for "Early Lot creation". Correct?
And you were not able to find the way how and where to do. So I just guided to you but sorry dear I have never ever used this functionality.
Now what are you doing? waiting for another two hrs to have the lot? Simultaneously you should check what is happening with the Order from where the lot is generated.
Have you completed UD for Lot 03 this time?
Most importantly pls let us know what is the Inspection points you have selected for the inspection plan for 04 type lot and at the Routing/Master Recipe from where the 03 lot get the MICs?
It may possible as you described the lot is getting triggered after 2hr from UD of 03 lot then the inspection points for the lot 04 or 03 would be time based inspection.

Create inspection lot move data from mseg to qals

hello.
When SAP create inspection lot from MIGO, I need to move mseg-ablad ( uploading point) to qals-yyfield.
In Migo we can have more than one pos, then system create differents inspection lot.
Is it possible ??? are there any user exit to do that ??? i see user migo's exist and inspecion lot's create, but in both cases i don't see all data to read an and move it.

In my case i have Migo with more than one position, and for each position the system will create a new inspecion lot.
Do you mean there are more than one Items in PO and for each Item there will be different inspection lot?
Then,
You need to get Material document number for inspection lot number and get MSEG-ABLAD which will be QALS-YYFIELD (YYABLAD).

I have created a quality plant and assigned the MICs. When I am trying to Process the quality lot which is created automatically through QA32, I got an error, ,No inspection plan could be found'
When i create an inspection lot system is picking up the Task list and picking up the Sample size.
Please provide some light on this.

CProjects: (external) Ressource and Vendor

Hi Gurus.
I have following requirements:
We've got external ressources which we will create as business partners (only with role "WFM0001 - Ressource"). This is necessary, becaus we need the business partners to plan ressource availability (RPM_EMPDATA).
What we now need, is the possibility to link the external Ressources (business partners) with a vendor. For example:
Res1 -> Vendor1
Res2 -> Vendor1
Res3 -> VendorX
I have found the Business Partner roles for vendor (in transaction BP), but it seems, that i cant choose which vendor i want to link to the business partner. Each time i create the role for a business partner, the system creates a new vendor and links this vendor to the business partner.
Is there any different way to achieve this? Or are there other approaches to handle external ressources (without SRM)?

If my other plant has the stock for that material, then i want to create sto.
if it does not have any stock, then i want to create a PO for external vendor.
in this case how will i set up my material master?

Inspection lot status not matching R/3 and APO

Hi,
I am getting an error in CCR report saying that "The inspection lot is in "released" status in R/3 but not in APO". Here I am giving the steps that I have followed to get this error.Please let me know why this error is coming. Can some give idea about this.
1.Planned order converted and released (not an early lot create material).
2.Good receipt done, inspection lot created. Rescheduled in released process order prior to the original start date, in the planning board. Dates update in the order in APO successfully,
The inspection lot shows in APO as the product is not forward processed. (The stock will not appear until the usage decision is made.) There is a CCR report discrepancy, error code 405. The inspection lot is in "released" status in R/3 but not in APO.

Sorry for late response.
Yes,I have made changes to process order dates after GR.
And I am populating these date changes to Insp. lot in user exit in R/3 and sending that Insp Lot to APO using the function module CIF_ADD_INSPLOT_OUT.
I can see the date changes in R/3 as well sa APO.But the release status in R/3 is intact and APO is removed.
This is causeing CCR error 405.

How do I apply properties to a control refnum from another VI and whose type I know?

I have programmatically retrieved the Control refnum of a Table running on a separate VI. I search for its name and when match ocurrs I would like to use its control refnum to change som cell values in it by either the Invoke node or Property node. Nevertheless even though I know it is a Table I am not allowed to wire the control refnum to a property node with "Active cell", "BG color" et.c. I am not either allowed to wire it to an Invoke node with the method "Set Cell Value".
Is there a work around for this?

Pulling a stream from external FMS and publishing in Multicast

Hi. I'm developping a FMS 4 application that read an external stream, and then, republish it in multicast:
1.- So, first of all I open a NetConnection to the remote application. And I associate it to a new Stream created in the application. Then I have the stream available in my application.

I made another different script that republish that stream in localhost using NetConnection.publish(localhost/sameapplication). It works properly. But I would like to be able of managing it in the other way.

1.- Tried adding NULL, and there's an error trying to access to the properties of the parameter, and finally the multicast publication is not done:
Registered multicast context for source stream: livestream
Sending error message: /opt/adobe/fms/applications/vpodmulticast2/main.asc: line 308: TypeError: streamContext.client has no properties
2.- Tried adding the nc reference, and there's no error in the logs, but the multicast publication is not done neither.
3.- Going deeply in the code, I discovered that client object is only used for getting the client.uri (the uri where the client is publishing the stream) and the client.ip (for internal connection managing). So I created a client object with these two attributes, and It's working properly:

Reservations : The material reserved against a Production Order / Cost Center is called reservation.
Confirmations :
Confirmation in PP Module means : Confirmation of Yeils / scarp agaisnt a operation of the production Order.
Confirmation in MM means : Confirmation from Vendor to supply the goods as per the P..0
Customer Consignment : Customer Material avaible with us. Generally this is used for Trading.
Vendor Consignment : Vendor Material available with us. Once the goods issue takes place the liability will be ours and settle the invoice as per the information avl with us (Vendor will not send any invoice) .

Trying to restore photos from external drive and realized TimeMachine had been turned off. Found in Imac backup folder in iPhoto library a modified folder with many of the missing pics. Can I restore these?

I recently had a hard drive crash on my iMac. After replacing the drive, I discovered that TimeMachine had apparently been turned off for six months, and all my photos from that period were missing after the restore. In looking on the external drive used by TimeMachine, I discovered a folder called Imac backup, and under iPhoto Library was a folder called Originals and subfolders for each year. To my surprise, there were photos covering the missing time period! Somehow I imported the 2011 folder from the external drive into iPhoto, and then I discovered they were small files of less than 100 KB each, not the 1-2 MB original photos. So now all of 2011 is screwed up, not just from May on. These photos also include faces pulled from many larger group photos.
I can get Jan - April restored using TimeMachine. But in continuing to explore the Imac backup folder, I found a similar folder in iPhoto Library called Modified. This folder has many of the missing photos in their original MB size in folders indexed by date for the missing period after April. Is there a way that I can get these modified photos back onto my new hard drive and into the iPhoto library without causing more damage? If TimeMachine was turned off after April, how did those modified photos and all those small images from the missing period find their way to the external drive?
Any wisdom greatly appreciated.

What you want to do is merge the two Libraries? The only way to do this is to use the paid ($20) version of iPhoto Library Manager
I created a new iPhoto Library on the iMac and dragged the entire iPhoto Library from the MacBook into that new Library. It worked, however it all came over into one big album and my previous album structure was gone
Never import one Library to another. Every version and thumbnail is imported like a distinct photo, you lose all your Albums, Keywords etc., the link between Original and Previews is destroyed, the non-destructive editing feature is ruined and so on. In summary: it's mess.

How to restore imovie '09 projects from external HD and old HD disk image.

I moved the imovie events to an external HD (directory iMovie events) and did a fresh install of OSX (for other reasons). Now would like to restore my iMovie projects. I have an image of my hard drive from before the reinstall. Anybody got any hints? I had a number of hours of editing in on some video stuff from my wife's family. Could redo it I guess, but if I could salvage it, it would be great.

Did you move the Events to the external drive using iMovie? or using the FInder?
Let's assume you used the Finder. (If you used iMovie, the fix is simpler. Post back)
First, move the iMovie Projects from your image of your hard drive to the <your user name>/Movies/iMovie Projects folder.
Then move the iMovie Events from the external drive to the <your user name>/Movies/iMovie Events folder.
Then start up iMovie and all should be well.
