so i will got to QA02 transaction and in  inspection specification tab i change material name with any one of the dummy material
and click the task list button so system will assign the inspection plan
Now i want to know if i work on these way what are the consequences will come to me later in production sever.and please tell me that these is a good method??
i am expecting any expert advice on this
Faisal

Sure Faisal, I try to explain!
1.     Basically letu2019s first of all understand why we need to create a task list (inspection plan).
2.     Go to material master inspection set up. Double click on assigned inspection type there or click on detail view there.
3.     Under detail information on inspection type (the below portion where you assign inspection types) you will observe that Insp with task list option is ticked default for 01 inspection type.
4.     As a result of which you must have to create inspection plan. If you donu2019t lot goes to CRTD mode.
An idea about Z01 is, it will be the copy of 01 inspection type. The only difference is u201CInsp with task list would not be ticked. So that there would be no compulsion to create task list eliminating the lot status CRTD. How to customize this?
1.     QCC0 > Quality Inspection > inspection lot creation > Maintain inspection types > select 01 inspection type and press F6 to create Z01 type by copying 01.
2.     Give the code as Z01 change the description as inspection without task list. Save it.
3.     Now go to QCC0 > Quality Inspection > inspection lot creation > define default values for inspection type. Again here you can copy from 01. Make following changes there. Remove inspection with task list tick, remove record characteristic results and assign requirement automatically ticks. And save.
4.     Finally go to QCC0 > Quality Inspection > inspection lot creation > Maintain inspection lot origins and assign inspection types
5.     Select 01 lot origin and double click on Inspection types for the origin. Assign there Z01 and save.
6.     You can save all these changes in a single request.
Now assign this new inspection type Z01 to material master and click on preferred inspection type and active tick as well. You will notice that inspection lot would be generated with Z01 inspection type. Here directly proceed for stock posting or defect recording as no need to record results.
Try if works for you!

  • Statutory Inspection planning in PM

    Dear Experts,
I need an advise on the Inspection planning in plant maintenance. To me Inspection and calibrations are two different processes.
Inspection can be related to any equipment (whether a Test Equipment or a manufacturing equipment). Test equipment e.g. Vernier caliper, Meggers, Current meter, Multimeter etc. helps to take the measurement reading. With time , the accuracy of the measuring equipment gets deviated from the required and then it need to undergo the "Calibration Process".
On the other hand, the manufacturing Equipment, It self need to undergo some "Statutory Inspection" (due to legal requirement from various government bodies) e.g. in large Oil and gas plants , Particle content into smoke, Noise level from an equipment, Inspection of various fire extinguishers  etc are required to be inspected on periodic basis and need to be certified by an external/ internal agency. This certificate can be submitted on demand to various Govt. bodies.
if some Non compliance is being found during Inspection, the corrective action need to taken by replacement or maintenance of that part.
I need to get some guidance on Inspection plan for such equipment. How the process can be mapped into SAP. Do we need to go through QM path for Inspection plan? How certificates can  be issued for this process?
Please provide the detailed steps ..
    Thanks

    Hi Dennis,
You can try the following process. It might help.
For Statutory requirement a time based maintenance plan can be created.
For Smoke Particle/ Noise, Mater Inspection Characteristics (MICs) can be created, with qualitative indicator.
Rest of the process might be mapped as below:-
1: Assign an Order to inspection type 14 in configuration.
2: Create Master Inspection Characteristics (Quantitative or Qualitative as per your requirement)  and assign sampling procedure.
3: Create a task list with inspection point 300 and assign Master Inspection Characteristics to it. Assign control key PM01 (for internal) or PM03 (for external processing)
4: Create a Maintenance Plan with the same task list for an Equipment with the order type with inspection type 14
5: An Order will be created as per the schedule given in Maintenance Plan.
6: An inspection lot will be generated once the order is released.
7: Do result recording and usage decision for the same.
8: I think there is a provision to print certificate as well  (I have not used it though)
    Hope it will be useful.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sanjay

  • How to block deletion of Inspection Plan

    Dear Experts
Accicendatally, our users are deleting the Inspection Plan,
Is there any authorisation object to make Restriction on this,Transaction is QP02.
    Regards
    Sandeep patil

    Hi Sandeep,
As you said User's are deleting inspection plans. They must be putting it for deletions by clicking on deletion flags.
If you want to restrict this then you have to get help of security team. They will find role for this transaction -
    > then they will find out the objects matanined in this role -
    > this will display all the activities in that object -
    > then they can cancel deletion activity from object list.
Then when User will access QP02 then this checkbox will appear grey. Then they will not be able to delete inspection plan.
Hope this resolves your issue, reward points if helpful.

  • Creating Inspection plan using BAPI

    HI all,
I am using the FM 'BAPI_INSPECTIONPLAN_CREATE'. I am unable to update the Inspection characteristics as multiple entries. Its getting updated only the last item.
    Expecting answer from the experts.
    Ravi.

    Hi,
you can check the BAPI_INSPECTIONPLAN_CREATE for the named purpose, the values you named are in the structure BAPI1191_CHA_C please read the BAPI documentation:
    Functionality
You can use this function module to create inspection plans and all its subordinate objects.
You can create a key date view and the complete history of an inspection plan. It is useful to have a history when transferring data from external systems.
    Example
You want to create an inspection plan with operations and inspection characteristics for key date 01.01.2000. Make an entry in the following tables for each object:
    TASK
    OPERATION
    INSPCHARACTERISTIC
If you want to assign test equipment to the inspection characteristic in field ITEM_NO_OF_PRODUCTION_RESOURCE, you must have assigned this test equipment in PARAMETER PRODUCTIONRESOURCE.
    Notes
If no error occurs during the transfer of data, the export parameters GROUP and GROUPCOUNTER contain the key for the task list created. A COMMIT WORK must be executed for writing data to the database.
All errors that have occured are logged in the export parameter RETURN. If there are inconsistencies, the inspection plan to be created is rejected

I have an issue, we got a material which has multiple groups assigned to it.
How to remove the materials assignment from the inspection plan group?

  • Inspection plan as per customer sale order

    Hi QM Expert,
I want to create Inspection plan automatically when inspection lot is created against production order which is made by reference of sales order which contain the specifications of product required by customer every time the customer change the value as per it,s requirement ,is it possible in SAP ,please Guide me step by step
    Regards
    Aaditya

    Dear Aditya
Is it that all mics keep on changing or is it only some of them randomly. As this is a MTO automizing the inspection plan is not possible.
I could see only 2 possible solution
    1) If only some of the mic changes make use of addition mics in result recording. manualy insert the mic with the specification at the time of result recording. you can also give the specification while inserting
    2) create an inspection plan based on the customer using differernt group counters or using a single group counter and dependent charactertistic. You can change the specification before the GR is made or even after the GR is made
If you think you have some idea about automising please let us know

  • Customer specific Inspection Plan

    hi experts,
Can any one help to create customer specific inspection plan. Our client requirements as follows,
In Inspection plan based on Usage we can able to assign vendor wise inspection plan for single material in material assignment, like that is it possible to assign customer name in inspection plan. so that we can choose the Inspection plan based on customer specification. any one can help me in the above requirement.
    awaiting for your replies,
    Muthamil

    Dear Muthamil
There is no configuration setting required . A typical cusomter inspection plan can be given as
    For a material X Suppose you have Customer A, B , C, D , E. Customer . A & B have the same specification c, D,& E has a another set of specification in this case :
QP01 > Material (X) / plant > Usage and status > material assignment > give the customer A. As you have mulitple customer ie B also with same specification then in material assignement input the same group counter in the below line of the material assignment along with /material and customer B combination.
The give the operation details and in inspection characerisitc MIC details as you normaly give
For the next set again goto QP01 ( for customer CDE
QP01 > Give the same material X and Plant > Click on New entries >  Usage and status > material assignment > give the customer C.
As you have  mulitple customer D E,  also with same specification then in material assignement input the same group counter in the below line of the material assignment along with /material and customer Dcombination and repeat the same for customer E
By doing this system should automacticaly pick up the customer specification when sale order of Customer E is used
    hope this helps

  • Control Indicators in inspection plan

    Hi QM Experts,
I created MICs and assigned the selected set and assigned the control indicators. But when i create the inspection plan for the material and assign the MIC, system is not copying the control indicators from MIC.
This is happening only in the production client. In the quality client, system works fine and copies the control indicators maintained in MIC to inspection plan.
I checked all the configurations but could not find anything related.
    Can anybody help?
    Thanks & Regards
    Prathib

    Dear Prathib
It doesnu2019t matter whether it is complete or incomplete MIC as far as copying of control indicators from MIC to inspection plan is concerned.
If you are dealing with incomplete MIC, then at the time of inspection plan creation you need to specify lower, upper, target values, may be decimal places and selected set in case of qualitative MIC.
Control indicators mean the various ticks that you choose while creating MIC in QS21, for example, Lower, Upper, Target values tick, fixed scope, or required, optional characteristic etc.
I think system will never behave contradictorily in quality and production server because itu2019s certainly not a customizing issue.
What I would suggest is, note down what control indicators you have chosen for MIC in QS24.
While creating inspection plan, use this MIC. If itu2019s incomplete give necessary information and proceed. Select the entire MIC line and click on control indicator tab. Note down what indicators it shows.
I am sure would be same.

  • How to map revision level materials to already created inspection plan?

    Dear All,
I have created single inspection plan for many existing raw materials. Now it has been found that each raw material have different revision level as well as valid from date.
My inspection plan is created on 02.07.2014 and each raw material has different revision level with valid from date which is also very old (like 11.03.2012 for revision level 09).
My Requirement is:  how to correct my inspection plan?,  so that it will work for each assigned raw material and there will not be any material revision level wise problem created for the inspection lot so that my inspection lot should be created in REL status in QA32 transaction i.e. inspection lot is assigned automatically as per standard SAP functionality.
    Thanks,
    Narresh

    Hi Amol,
    Thanks for your reply.
In this business scenario, we are not creating inspection plan for each raw material because there is similarity in inspection for 40-50 raw materials and total number of raw materials are around 500. This will be very difficult and unnecessarily data creation in the system.
As per my understanding revision level is for material master revision and if material master changes then how it affect so much on inspection plan? also is it means that for every revision in future we will have to create new inspection plan?  hence I believe that if I will make back dated inspection plan for raw materials then it may work. Is my understanding is correct?
Expecting much better solution from QM experts.
    Thanks,
    Narresh

  • Task list usage inspection plan - Universal 3 and GR 5

    Dear Friends,
while creating Inspection plan for GR inspection from Procurment it is advisable to use Task list usage 5 or usage 3 which is universal
may i know what is the difference
    Please advise also
There is task list type  Goods receipt model  -    501  which  is Material, vendor and manufacturer what that mean and where it  is used
    Thanks & Regards
    Raj

    Hi Rajkumar,
While planning an Inspection, which Task List gets assigned to which Inspection Lot is linked through combination of TaskList Usage and Lot Inspection Type
In spro (at the location as suggested above) we assign TaskList usage to the Inspection Type. When any Lot is created based on the setting in QM view of MM, it looks for this link for automatic assignment to the lot.
For your question "while creating Inspection plan for GR inspection from Procurment it is advisable to use Task list usage 5 or usage 3 which is universal"; both options will work as long as the above config in spro is maintained.
It is however advisable to use the standard option of TaskList Usage of  05 as it is easier to segregate and analyse TaskList / Inspection Plans based on their usage; in case any need arises.
    Hope this helps,
    Thanks,
    RKM.

  • T code for materials have more than one inspection plan!!

    Dear Expert,
what T-Code can I use to identify which materials have more than one inspection plan applied?
Thanks in advance for your help!!!
    Have a nice day!!!

    Hi Sharan,
As Ashok has guided you is perfect way to get the list.
You further can do is in QP03 press the F4 help for the field "Group" and then set the search option as "Search Using Material".
The same list you will get from MAPL.
It will give you the material assignment to the task list group counter combination whether it will be single assignment or multiple it will give you the list. Then you should use the short/filter commands eithere on SAP screen or after downloading it in excel.
Unfortunately there is no such STD list available that can give you only those who are having multiple assignment.

    Shyamal

  • Inspection plan QP01

Please advise do we need to prepare the insp plan for raw materials as well as for fert materials using qp01 t-code?. Because for fert materials, we need to assign the MICu2019s in routing, so do we need to prepare qp01 for fert materials? Please advise whether we should create qp01 for raw materials and as well as for fert materials in case we need 01 and 03 insp types.

    HI
    1. You have to create inspection plan in QP01 for Raw materials with inspection type 01
    2. You have to create inspection plan for FERT with inspection type 03 in Routing only.
    3. For the FERT material with inspection type 04, you need to crerate in QP01.

  • Inspection Plan Display

    Hi Experts,
I am preparing report for displaying inspection plan through SQVI.
Tables Used to generate this report
    MAPL
    PLMK
    PLKO
    PLPO
Selection Fields like Matrl Code, Plant and Task list type.
when I execute this query system is giving all the details but for Quantitative Chr LSL, Target and USL is comming
    in 2.000000000000000E00     2.3000000000000001E-01             2.50000000000000000E00
It can be address through Z Dvelopment by using conversion functional module, but we are trying to avoid Z reports.
Is it possible to adress such kind of values through SAP Query?  If possible how it can be done?
    Thanks
    Shiva Patil

    Hi Shiva,
In the SAP Query, as far as stanard is concerned, the numeric value would be shown in exponential form only, but you can write a small code of 2-3 lines in query itself by creating a z-field and transferring the value to z-field into decimal form from exponential form.

  • Inspection plan for all materials GOODS Receipt

    Hi qm experts,
I have a scenario. How could I make an inspection plan which covers all materials with variable base unit of measure. Its because my client is using winlims for their results recording. I want to create only one inspection plan to incorporate all materials for assignment, how could I make this one. I hope anybody could answer my question.
    Regards,
    Edsel matildo
    QM Consultant

    Hi,
Say u have different materials with different base unit of measure ( kg / ltr / ea / pc /  --- -
etc ) And u have assigned all these material in qulity plan having only one unit of measure (say mm )for characterisrics then there is absolutely no need to maintain conversion rule for all these
Beacuse base unit of measure is different and unit of measure is different .
Note Conversion rule is only required if ur using alterenate base unit of measure
