Installing Outlook 2007 HTML & CSS Validator in CS4

Hi everyone,
I have installed the Outlook 2007 HTML & CSS validator but when I go to look at the target browser list nothing appears.
The path that the tool was installed to is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS4\configuration\BrowserProfiles
Does anyone know if it will work with CS4? I have scoured Google and these forums to no avail.

The path is correct.  Try restarting DW, then go to the Browser Compability window and see if it is there to enable in the Settings.  If DW was running it will not appear until it is restarted.

  • Blank email either in outlook (2007 / 2013) or OWA

    Hello everybody,
I have a problem with some clients and Exchange server 2013.
I'll try to explain it in the best way possible and I apologize for my english too.
I have installed Exchange Server 2013 , some clients are using Outlook 2013 , some OUtlook 2007 (with all service packs isntalled) and some OWA (via  IE, Firefox or Chrome, the problem is on all of them).
The same email is received by someone as usual, and by someone with blank body : in both cases , the attachments are displayed , but the text of the email isn't.
On Exchange server there's no antivirus, no antispam  installed, some clients working have avg installed, some clients that aren't working have avg installed too. AVG Plugin for Outlook is disabled.
The problem is on OWA too. I've thought it could be an issue due to the ssl certificate (Outlook 2007  needs a valid certificate to work properly) so I've changed it. Since the change I don't receive blank email on a client, but still don't read older
emails that had blank body .
I don't know where  else I have to look  , but I need absoluterly to retrieve that emails that I cannot read.
    How can I solve that?
    Thank you
    Luciana

    Hi Luciana,
According to your description, the issue happens to some users instead of all users. There is no antivirus, no antispam installed in Server side. The blank email in OWA should be firstly received by Outlook client. The issue may be caused
by any third-party programs from client side in user local machine.
Please close Outlook and only send/receive test messages in OWA to check whether the issue persists. If there is no issue when only using OWA to send/receive messages, please restart the problematic user's Outlook client in safe mode and check whether the
    issue continues.

  • Outlook 2007 on pc restarts when access icloud calendar

re installed outlook 2007 on win7 laptop. outlook works fine except when I open icloud calendar, it says outlook stop working and restarts.
I can access the calendar on icloud.com and my ipad and iphone. I suspect there is a bad record on the calender.
as a last ditch effort I created a 2nd calendar and cant figure out how to copy info to it.
I have deleted and reinstalled outlook and icloud and the control center several times to no avail

    Update on problem
I created a 2nd calendar in Icloud and shared cal1 and cal2. setup my ipad and iphone to use cal2 as default.
by changing the cal setting on my ipad entries from 1 to 2 i was able to consolidate all entries on cal2, outlook could open cal2, all devices were sharing cal2 and life is good (NOT). as I was changing items from 1 to 2 outlook crashed and I was  never able to get to cal1 or cal2 on outlook.stlll works on ipad and iphone and I can go to cloud.com and both calendars were there and complete, just outlook cancels when I click on calendar icon.
today new itunes and icloud control came out.
loaded new itunes and icloud control deleted and reinstalled outlook 2007, downloaded all updates and it still doent work

  • IPhone, Gmail, and Outlook 2007 - A question please

    Hello all,
I just recently installed Outlook 2007 on my Windows XP machine. It is set up with my gmail account.
I have iPhone successfully looking at the same gmail account.
Here's what I'm asking if it can be done:
If I access/read my email from Outlook, then it will NOT show up on my iPhone.
If I access/read my email from my iPhone, then it will NOT show up on Outlook.
    Is that possible?
I guess I'm hoping that I don't come home, read some email from Outlook for a few days.
Then go to my iPhone and see that I have 132 "unread" emails at Gmail. Yes, they've been read...but my iPhone doesn't know that.
Am I making sense on my request?
    Thanks for any advice!
    Ted

    You're welcome.
I could not find a similar setting on the iPhone.
If you are accessing the account as a POP account with the iPhone's mail client, the setting for removing messages from the server is at Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Select the account. Selected Advanced at the bottom. Under Incoming Settings, at Delete from server.
If you used the Gmail account preset on the iPhone when creating the account, the account was created as an IMAP account with the iPhone's mail client.
And I'm confused. If Outlook is taking the message and NOT leaving it on the server, then how is iPhone getting the message?
The iPhone's mail client will not receive the message, and the same with Outlook if you select remove messages from the server when downloaded for the account settings with the iPhone's mail client.
You indicated that you want the following:
If I access/read my email from Outlook, then it will NOT show up on my iPhone.
If I access/read my email from my iPhone, then it will NOT show up on Outlook.
Accessing the account as a POP account with both email clients and selecting to remove messages from the server when downloaded with both email clients will provide this.
With an IMAP account, all server stored mailboxes are kept synchronized with the server automatically with each email client used to access the account. Read a received message with Outlook and when checking the account's Inbox mailbox with the iPhone's mail client, the message will be available in the account's Inbox mailbox but will be marked as read, and vice-versa.

  • Lost contacts with change to outlook 2007

I just installed Outlook 2007. I had previously uninstalled 2003 because of a problem. When I synced the first time I lost all of my contacts. Is there a way to recover these contacts?

Where is your backup from Outlook 2003 created before removing the application and/or before installing Outlook 2007?
Regardless if installing a new version, maintaining a backup of such important information is important regardless the platform - Windows or OS X but even more important with Windows due to constant virus, adware and spyware concerns.
Syncing an iPhone or with any such device should not be considered as a backup.
If the contacts are lost on your iPhone as well as on your computer, without a backup you are SOL.
You can try restoring your iPhone from your iPhone's backup file but I wouldn't get your hopes up.

  • Outlook 2007 Sync

I haven't been able to sync my Outlook Calendar or Contacts since I installed Outlook 2007. While iTunes tells me that they are sync'ed, the calendar is completely blank and the contacts are the old ones that remain from before the upgrade to 2007. Does Apple plan to correct this? Is there some other way of getting the information across?
    Thanks for any help!

I've got no idea if Apple plans to correct it or not, but you can always just have both Outlook 2007 and 2003 (or whatever other version you have) on your computer at the same time.

This changed worked for us, by selecting the Advanced properties on the printer and changing the default setting "Start printing immediately" to "Start printing after last page spooled".

  • Smartform or BSP HTML Emails in Outlook 2007

    Hello,
we create different HTML e-mails based on smartforms or BSP. Everything looks as it should with <b>Outlook 2003</b>. But if you send the same mails to user with <b>Outlook 2007</b>, no formats, boxes and colors are visible anymore.
Does anyone has an idea what we could do to make it suitable for Outlook 2003 and 2007?
    Thank you in advance,
    Heiko

There isn't a very good solution unless there are some recent updates.  I've answered on this before.  In 2007, Microsoft chanegd the HTML rendering engine to Word.  There is very limited support for HTML and CSS in Word's engine.  You can Google it or go to MSDN to read more about it.  I haven't looked for a better solution because 99% of our user community is still using 2003 though that will change soon.  We're actually considering dumping Microsoft altogether and switching to Google Apps.

  • How could I install outlook with business contact manager 2007 in windows 8.1 system?

Recently I got a new 8 win pc, then I tried to instal Outlook with business contact manager 2007 but I couldn´t
The reason: sql server is not compatible. Would you please let me know how to fix that problem?

    Hi CarlosZC,
Since the issue regards Outlook with business contact manager 2007. I suggestion you post the question in the Outlook forums at
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/outlook?tab=question&status=all&auth=1. It is appropriate and more experts will assist you.
According to your description, we need to verify the version of the SQL Server, usually the warning of compatibility issues applies to all SQL Server Express editions when installing Business Contact Manager (BCM) 2007 on Windows 7/8. The incompatibility
was fixed in SQL Server 2008 Service Pack1 and SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 3 on Windows 7.
There is a similar issue about compatibility message when installing BCM 2007 on Windows 7, you can review the following article.

  • Nasty HTML / Outlook 2007 Bug in iPhone 2.0?

Anyone else notice a nasty HTML / Outlook 2007 bug with iPhone 2.0? I've pasted the bug that I submitted to Apple below. So far I've gotten no response. =(
    Summary:
I have found a major bug with sending and receiving HTML emails between iPhone 2.0 and Outlook 2007. When you reply to any email that comes from Outlook 2007 that reply will include broken HTML tags as part of the message. As a result, with each additional reply the message will double in size. It appears these additional replies hit the broken HTML tag and then insert another entire copy of the email. This happens with each and every reply, until after four or five when the phone can no longer deal with the message due to size.
    Steps to Reproduce:
Send an email with HTML formatting to yourself using Outlook 2007.
Reply to the message from the iPhone. The first reply will be fine.
Reply using Outlook 2007 (make sure the formatting is still HTML).
Reply to the message from the iPhone. This reply will include broken HTML tags, and begin the repeat copies inside the email.
    Expected Results:
No formatting issues on replies, no repeat copies of the email inside each reply causing unusable message size growth.
    Actual Results:
Broken HTML tags appear in the replies and cause the message to double in size with each reply. An example of some of the tags that show up are things like:
    color:#1F497D">
    or
    font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif";font-weight:bold">
They do not have the starting "<", which appears to be the root of the issue. These tags will show up near special HTML formatting, such as links or font changes.
    Regression:
The problem always happens on iPhone 2.0 when an HTML formatted reply Outlook 2007 is part of the email chain. This appears to happen with all types of accounts.
    Notes:
I'm assuming that with as many people that use Outlook 2007 I'm not the only person to report this. Our company uses Outlook 2007 as a standard deployment and this bug alone is making us unable to deploy iPhones to employees. I'm really hoping that a fix is already in the works and will be in the next update of 2.0!
    Thanks.

    eric9603,
Have you been able to reproduce this with emails back and forth with any other Mail client besides Outlook that composes in HTML?
Outlook 2007 does not use a browser based HTML generator or renderer. It uses Word's HTML engine for both generating and rendering HTML messages.
    Thank you,
    Nathan C.

  • Unbale to install November update on Outlook 2007 SP3

    Hi
I was trying to upgrade my outlook 2007 clients for connecting to Exchange 2013 environment. First I have installed Office SP3 (kb2526086). Outlook version after that is 12.0.6607.1000. Later I  tried to install nNovember 2012 update which is a prerequisite
for connecting to Exchange 2013 clients (support.microsoft.com/kb/2687404/en-us) but it shows me a message "Expected version of the product was not found on the system". No idea  how to proceed now, expecting help.

    Hi,
Are you installing it manually? After installing Office 2007 SP3, please check for updates first in Windows Update, and install any available updates to your Office suite. The specific update (kb2687404) might need any other updates as
    a prerequisite.
Also, please ensure Outlook is not running in compatibility mode:
Go to Program Files or Program Files (X86)>Microsoft Office>Office12, find the Outlook icon, then do a right-click on it and select ‘Properties’.
Select the ‘Compatibility’ tab then uncheck the ‘Run this program in Compatible mode for’
    option. Please verify result then.

  • Outlook 2007 won't start with 10.1.3 installed

    Hi,
I'm trying to a do a fresh install of 10.1.3 on a windows XP machine that is running outlook 2007. The install goes ok but when I start Outlook I get the following error
"Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened. Either you don't have sufficient permissions, the server does not support creating folders in this location or the server does not support certain characters in the folder name. Please try moving the folder or renaming it”
Does anybody know what could be causing this?
    Thanks

    Hi,
The user is an administrator on the PC.
I'd already tried installing into a fresh profile but I still get the same error message. I looks like something is trying to create a new folder when Outlook starts up and the Oracle Collaboration Suite does not like it But I can't work out what that could be. I can't turn on logging either because Outlook exits as soon as I acknowledge the message.
    Thanks
