Integration server already has a business system

Dear All,
I got problem while creating sender business system for FILE-IDOC Scenario.I have created r3_800 business system for IDOC receiver with logical system name APOCLNT800.After that I tried to create business system for FILE Sender with logical system name XI7CLNT001.But i am getting the error "The selected integration server already has a business system with logical name XI7CLNT001. Select a different integration server or change the logical name."
Do I need to create another logical system?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Vinay

In addition to my previous post, refer the following blogs. This will help you understand how ABAP based systems in the landscape already get registered in SLD while post installation. Just check once the BS you are trying to create in SLD is already there.

I have successfully created and test a File to IDOC scenario from a File system to ERP ECC 6.0 (client 101, system name sapdbt02)
Right now, I creating  another File to IDOC scenario for a different file system to the same ERP ECC 6.0
At the SLD, I would need to create two new Techncial System and Two new Business System.
However when I creating a Business system for the ABAP Type for the ERP ECC 6.0, when selected the same client and system name of the first scenario that I have done, I got this error message
"Selected client already has a business system associated, please select a new client or system"
I am puzzled that I would need to a configure a new client for the same system ID for another FIle to IDOC scenario
going to the same ERP system

    For example:-
create business system for R3 system in SLD as suggested by stefan. I assume that u have one R3 system which is either sending or receiving data from XI.
assign the system to ur scenarios, u can use common IDOC/RFC/XI channel for sending data to R3 system.
Separate R3 business system is required incase u have to send data to different R3 system.
If u have different files coming from different File system in that case better to create different business service and use them.

  • Integration Server already defined ?

After delete the  business system for XI 3.0 system on SLD,
I wan't to create a new one Business system base on  XI 3.0 TS,but The SLD hint :
--Integration Server already defined, There is already an integration server defined for the selected technical system. Please select role Application System.

    hi,jon:
althouth you want to create business system base on xi as integration server.
    actually,you can not do that.
you enter business system ---> new business system.
    you have a look:
    only five item for TS:
         Web AS ABAP
         Web AS Java
         Standalone
         Third-Party
Business Partner (only for XI 2.0)
    There are not xi.
actually, you can not create business system for you xi.even though you have delete it.

  • Integration Server in SLD shows no System

    Hello,
I have the following problem. When I log into the SLD, go to technical System, filter for XI then I See Adapter Engine, Integration Directory etc. For each of them the column System is filled (SAP-System and Host). Only for the Integration Server it isn't.
And when I log into the Runtime Workbench and select Configuration then I et an error that no Integration Server is available in the SLD.
Does anybody know what is the problem for that.
    thanks
    Michaela

    Hi,
The best way what you could do is goto transaction RZ70 and enter the appropriate details in the SLD Bridge tab
then do the proposal and finally press the esecute button to start the data collection.
This will automatically create an entry in the SLD then you need to maintain business system manually.
But before executing the data collection remove the existing IS server info if it's already present.
More details on this can be found in XI Post installation document.

  • More integration scenarios with the same business system in Int. Direct.?

    Hi guys!
I need to integrate 5 business systems. I tried to create more integration scenarios (to do it clearly), but it is not possible to add already added business system to any other scenario...
    What's the logic of this?
Can someone explain me it? Or some link?
    Thanx Peter

    hi Peter,
    have you tried:
    service without party ->
right click on your business system ->
    add to scenario?
like this you can add your business system
to as many scenarios as you wish

  • Why specify Integration server when create Business system?

    Hi, all:
I had difficult understanding why we need to specify the assigned Integration Server when we create Business System. What is the reason for this? What is the mechanism underbeneath this?
It is easy to understand that when creating BS, you need to specify TS name, product and SWCV. But why integration server?
Will you please explain to what your understanding it regarding this topic?
    Thanks,

This is because the same SLD could be used to connect to more than one Integration Server. This is a typical requirement wherein the system landscape has Dev, Quality & Production systems and all the XI servers uses same SLD. At that time it would be easy to specify which Business system will refer the Integration Server of which XI system.

  • One Business System Per Client

Going in, I figured I could have multiple business systems tied to a single technical system.  For example, if I have a techical system (SAP R/3) of RD0 110, and I want to have one business system for a vendor price check, another for sending ship notice idocs to a 3rd party server, etc.
When I go to add a second Business System to RD0 110 in SLD, I get an error that "The selected client already has a business system. Select a different client or system.".
    Where am I going wrong?

    Hi Keith,
the problem you are running in is that the SLD checks your business system entries against used client and logical system from tech.system. If one is already used in a link to a bus.system SLD does not allow to link the same tech. system to another bus.system.
But you don´t have unique namespaces for each scenario.
You will import the SWCV from SLD into Int.Rep..
Then you can define a range of namespaces in the SWCV object.
In each namespace you can implement a scenario.
The SWCV is connected to a bus. system, that s right.
But the scenario will not only work with one bus.system.
Usually you will use the SWCV to build up a scenario in Int.Rep. for the sender system providing the scenario with data.
The bus. systems defined in the SLD  are more relevant in the Int.Directory, when implementing the comm.channels and building up the interface-/sender-/receiver-determinations per scenario.
If you could connect a tech. system to several business systems what could be the advantage? The tech.system is basis for connecting to SWCVs.
We had the same question here in the beginning of our project but our result was that the multi bus.system connect to a tech. system would only produce more need of organizing the structure in the SLD.
We put the focus on naming conventions in the namespaces to separate the different scenarios for the same bus.system as data provider (=sender).
If more than one system is sending the same date in a business scenario you need to establish that in having a well defined definition (agreements) in the Int. Repository!
    Hope this can help!
    Best regards
    Dirk

  • Unable to assign Business System in Configuration

    Hi,
I have created a new Technical system in SLD. I have also configured a Business system for it. But when i am trying to assign this system in Configuration, "Assign Business system", i am not able to see the newly created business system.
    Please help me.
    Regards,
    Siva Maranani.

We  have already  assinged the Integration server to their respective business system groups while creating the Business system groups.
       BSG: XI_DEV --> UKD_400( Integration Server DEV )
      BSG : XI_QA  ---> INTEGRATION_SERVER_UKQ( Integration Server QA)
As per documentation, the business systems should be automatically assigned to their respective Groups based on their association with Integration Server.
But, we are not seeing this behaviour, both the Integration servers are being assigned to the same Business System Group.
Please help me understand if i am something in the configurations.
    Thanks

  • Use of Related integration Server in SLD

    Hi all,
I understand that ‘Related integration Server’ from SLD is used when we have proxies. Is there any other use for it?
    cheers
    danus

    Hi,
The Related Integration Server is used to assign your Business System to a Transport Group.
When you create a Transport Group in the SLD you assign the corrsponding Integartion server to this transport Group.
Now, when your create a Business System and assign the Related Integration server , this assigns the Business System to the correspinding Transport Group.
The best use case is when you have a single SLD being shared between Dev , QA and Prod.
The Related Integartion Server has nothing to do with proxuies.

  • SLD:  recreate deleted Business System of type Integration Server

    Hi,
accidentally i deletet the business system of type "Integration Server" in the SLD. And i can't recreate it. It always says:
"Integration Server already defined There is already an integration server defined for the selected technical system. Please select role Application System."
Any ideas to create such a business system?
The old one isn't there in the list, after i deleted it.
    regards,
    ms

    Hi,
If you change/delete the host name of the Integration Server after the installation in either the SLD or the exchange profile, you must adjust it accordingly in the exchange profile or the SLD, respectively

  • Problem by Maintaining a Business System for the Integration Server

    Hi to all,
I have the following problem. I tried to change some Business systems configuration in SLD but accidentally deleted defined Business System for our Integration Server. After that I tried to create that business system again but I have the following error:
Integration Server already defined. There is already an integration server defined for the selected technical system. Please select role Application System.
Since than I’m receiving the following error message when I try to refresh my adapter engine cache:
com.sap.aii.ib.server.abapcache.CacheRefreshException: Unable to find an associated SLD element
Do you know how can I define the Business System again currently I can't see it in SLD Business systems?
I’ve also checked the IS URL (TR: SXMB_MONI) and it seems that it’s ok.
    Regards
    Naycho

    Hi Naycho,
i think you have to clean up some sld rubbish
Go to SLD / Administration / Content Maintenance. Choose left side "all classes" or "landscape description" and right side  "business system". Delete all entries you find for your business system, after that try to recreate it.

  • Business System as Integration Server

When do we use the business system as the integration server and when do we use it as a plain rcv SAP system?...
Also how can we connect business system of dev quality and prod?

    Hi Ravindra,
Actually, it makes more sense if you rephrase your question as:
"When do we wnat to use a Integration server as a Business system"..
We will use the Integration Server as the Business System when you are using the file system of the integration server as the file receiving system or, when you want to implement an ABAP proxy on the ABAP stack of the Integration Server, instead of using any other R/3 system.
Regarding your second question, there is a concept called Transport Groups in SLD.
