Inter-company Inspection plan

Hello
Need your advice in SME Please. We have two company code. We are planning to use one Plant Master inspection charat for the next plant in the Inspection plan . Means same group and same group counter will be used for both the material in the Material assignment tab  with different plant assignment .Any one experienced this type of business requirement.
What is the pros and cons ?. Any input will be highly appreciated

Yes, when you use the plan across company codes you can get that message.
I've never run into any issues however by sharing the plans.  But I beleive the error from SAP is due to costing.  Since you can use the plans, operations and workcenters to collect costs, I beleive that is where you might have trouble with going across company codes.  As long as you aren't tracking costs in your plans, you shouldn't have a problem.
The only issue you can have is if a person in plant A wants to change the shared plan created in plant B.  the must be given securityfor plant B.  You can create all the plans in a central, non-manufacturing or virtual plant, (like you should do for MIC's) and give lab managers/supervisors security to that plant.   Or just create them any plant and give the right users access to that plant.

  • Sales & Operations Planning for Inter-company .

    Hi
    We have scenario like this :  A will  do the  fore-cast , But A is not producing .
    A wants to transfer the Forecast to B. B will produce and it owns the Inventory.
    Once A get the Sales order , A will send the Inter-company sales process to B.
    B will relive off the inventory and get paid by A.
    How to transfer the SOP via demand management for Inter-company . How to consume  the inter-company sales through demand management for Company B .
    Any input will be highly appreciated.

    As i understood
    A create a SOP and tranfer to DM, it will get netted off by sales order created in A. Since A is not producing material, system will create a intercompany PO/PR to get the material from B.
    B say getting SOP data from A and tranfer it to DM. Run MRP/produce and satisfy the request of A.
    Now your question is how to transfer this SOP plan to B from A.
    it is simple
    When you run MRP in A, if you have assigned a special procurement key in material master, in plant A, system will automatically create a intercompany PR to B.
    Hence you will get the plan in B as per the given date and qty.

  • Cost of Goods Sold account determination by customer type (inter-company)

    We have a business need to separate the the cost of goods sold be customer type.  Specifically separating the inter-company cost of goods sold from the 3rd party cost of goods sold. 
    The standard COGS account determination in GBB/VAX only allows for differentiating between material valuation class. 
    Has anyone attempted this before and what method worked?

    For those who may need an answer to this, our solution was the following: 
    1)       Created new types for SO, SO Item, Sched. Line, Delivery, Delivery Item, Billing type  
    2)       Created new Pricing procedure
    3)       Created new movement type Y61/Y62 modeled after 601/602
    4)       Mapped Y61/Y62 to account modifier ZAX.
    5)       Mapped GBB/ZAX to the new account.
    Benefits, they now have better view of the orders going inter-company.  It is flexible enough to adjusting prices for intercompany separate from standard orders, even though for now it is a straight copy of cost.  They are able to remove the sales/use tax, from the calculations. They are able to plan with these orders separated out.  Plus, this will standardize their process for inter-company.

So whether I have to create the request and transfer the same to production or quality or is there any other way to assign customer in either quality or production?     The cross-plant internal procurement of materials can be carried out within one company code (inter-company) or by using several company codes (cross-company). This process can be dealt with using standard functions, such as material requirements planning, purchase requisitions, stock transport orders, transportation planning, and the handling of internal deliveries.
    Process Flow
    This scenario consists of the following steps:
    One-step stock transfer
    Creating stock transport order
    Posting goods issue for stock transport order
    Checking the status of the stock transfer
    Receiving transferred materials

    We are implementing SRM 7.0 used with ECC 6.0 and the client has the requirement to be able to order goods for stock and to initiate the inter-company-code stock transport orders (which I mean is actually and MM standard function).

    Hi Michal,
    The client want's to use SRM as a tool for issueing all requisitions among the company and transfering it to ERP.
    Seams, there will be limitations.
    Does this mean that your client will not use ECC MRP for planning the intercompany requirements. This is just for my calrification.
    IF you are using calssic scenario there will be limitation while you create SC for the intercompany requirement, as it is required to falg "Order as direct material"(for direct stock procurement) in the SC system starts treating this as a extended calssic scenario to overcome this you have to enhance and trick the system by assiging as dummy cost object to SC cart in the background and strip off the cost object while sending the SC to ECC for creating PR or PO as per your client requriement.
    Is your client requirement only restricted to inter company procurment using SRM or do they want to use SRM for all direct procurement(project stock, consignemnt, subcontracting). Irrespective of Classic to Extended classic SRM will not support out of box all the specail procurement scenarios.

  • Three way match inter company Stock transfer orders

    Hello All ,
         For Inter company Stock transfer orders our client for is planning to copy the net value from the billing document to Invoice receipt and Good receipt. Having that said , the PO price will be different from good receipt and invoice receipt. What will it be having the effect on Three way match.

    At my client  PO condition Type  is  ZSTO and Billing Condition type is ZV01 , both value are maintained in table.
    One process they want to check where ZSTO is not equal to ZV01 as per example below.
    1 .P O Price  based on ZSTO = 450
    2. Good Issue (based on material standard   xyz)
    3. Billing document  based on ZV01 = 350  
    4.  Invoice receipt ?
    5.  Good receipt ?
    Can you please let me know what would be the IR Price and GR price and if the IR and GR value is 350 will it effect 3 way match .

  • Regarding Inspection Plan

    Hi All,
    Need clarification regarding Inspection Plan. We observe that in our company the inspection plan are created double record for a material. Actually we have two z-tcodes for creating  inspection plan. The 1st is scheduled job  which creates inspection plan automatically and with the second tcode ,we create inspection plan manually.
    I would like to know what is the impact if we have 2 inspection plans for the same material. May i know why the program is creating double inspection plan though already one inspection plan is existing.   Please suggest us how to avoid this.

    first of all you should check the following:
    The plan header (PLKO) has the following key fields Client (MANDT), Plan type (PLNTY), Plan number (PLNNR), Plan alternative (PLNAL) and Plan counter (ZAEHL) if you have created identical entries this would lead to a dump with DUPREC.
    Then you have one other tables you should take into account:
    Material plan assignment MAPL
    and finally check the validity dates and if change numbers are used.
    As long as there are no 2 identical plans, this shouldn't lead to any problems.
    Maybe this is the information you need.

    Hi Tata,
    Say Plant X supplies to Plant Z and they belong to different company codes,
    Create a special procurement key in plant X using transaction "OMD9". The key should be a copy of "40" or it self with defination that Plant Z as Special procurement plant.
    Assign this special procurement key to material master in Plant X- MRP2 view, and in plant Z the defination of this material should be "E" - Inhouse production with BOM & Routing for production.
    You should also setup the customer and assign that in the shipping data for plants in the mm-sto settings of SPRO. Here you also need to maintain the delivery/billing type and availability checks.
    With this settings now if a Stock Transfer PO is created in Plant X againsts Plant Z or if a demand exists for the material in Plant X, the requirement is transfered to the plant Z and planned order is created for the same after MRP run based on the MRP parameters set in the material master in Plant Z.
    Once GR is done with referance to the STO in Plant Z and PGI is carried out.
    Once the material is recieved in Plant X, GR is created for the STO. This completes the logistic cycle.

  • Data Upload for Inter company transaction

    Dear All,
    While entering the data for Elimination we require the trading partner (Inter company) to be mentioned with the respective GL's. We use ECC 4.7 and Tally (for non SAP) companies, so it is not possible to extract the Trial balances with the Into Entities mentioned for GL's to be eliminated.
    Our Approach
    We plan to use the input layout for capturing the Intco Transactions for all (SAP & Non SAP entities), however it would double the figures in GL's if we follow this.
    Example . Receivable  - 100 -- uploaded from TB ,  --- This would go on Non - Intco.
    for the same, the client would enter in input layout as Receivable  -- Intco_A - 50, Receivable  -- Intco_B - 30, .
    This would double the figure as
    Receivable -- 180
    Please advice, how to acheive this.

    As u mentioned the users inputs value to break non interco data to respective intco's
    why not use the journal templates instead of input templates
    in journal templates you can zero the value of non interco and post it in the respectives interco
    example:
    non interco accounts payable = 100
    in the journal template
    you can enter this
    accounts payable non intco            100
    accounts payable intco A                     50
    accounts payable intco B                     50

  • Is inter-company setting required

    Hi Experts,
    I have a scenario which goes this way:
    One company code (sales org) creates a contract. This is for leasing equipment that this contract is created. And the monthly billing keeps happening as per the billing plan type selected.
    During the life of this contract this contract is sold to the other company code. And a replica contract is created in this second company code with customer as the first company code. This is carried out to avail tax benefits in the Europe. And the periodic billing to happen on the same dates as that of the actual customer. In this case my client says that it is an inter-company billing which needs to be created. Is there a requirement for inter company billing for that mater intercompany sales at all.
    If you can put your views and experiences forward it would be of great help.

    Hi Paturi,
    Business nature wise it is definately an Intercompany deal.  But the fact is that Standard SAP does not support these kinds of intercompany dealings.  Standard SAP Intercompany works only on the criteria that the order is booked by co. 1 & the delivery is made by co. 2 and then it creates an intercompany billing between co. 1 & co. 2.  For your scenario, this will not work.  You might have to build some workaround to make it happen.  Therefore, it would be gr8 if you can explain the scenario in more detail... May be then i can be of any help in explaining you the necessary config.  Also, alternatively you can search in SAPOSS for your industry specific workarounds.  As far as i know SAP intercompany does not works for Contracts....

    I am creating inspection plans using BDC. The MIChas 2 versions. When i am using version 1, the inspection plan is created. Whereas when i am using MIC version 2 i am getting error "error occured while checking type group".Kindly let me know how do i resolve this.

    Thanks for the reply. when i am trying to create a inspection plan in other plant, we have 4-5 sampling procesures to select from. But for this perticular plant where we are having problem, its showing only one. How do i get more options?How do i extend a sampling procedure to a new plant.

    This is due to the configuration error,
    Just use T.Code OP50
    Create an entry for task list type "Q" with material type "ZROH" and save,
    Then try creating a Quality Inspection Plan, it will work

    I have one scenario where I get article as free with other Articles, the same free article may get from with out free from some other vendor also. but this free article should be distributed to store with STO and Inter company PO.
    problem in PO
    I have entered free goods item in a new line item in inter company PO and tick free goods indicator & also created outbound delivery but when I am creating Invoice in VF01 I am only getting one article but not free article...
    problem in STO
    when I am entering article then free Item indicator is disappearing from line item & I need to do outbound delivery in VL10F

  • Credit memo for Inter-company billing

    Hi
    We are trying to create a credit memo with reference to an inter company billing document. The business requirement is to create a credit memo  to adjust the invoice value due to wrong value posted in the original inter-company invoice. Hence we do not want to use the sales returns route for this.
    So, we are trying to create a credit memo request (ZCR) in VA01 with reference to the Inter company billing document (ZIV). We have maintained the copy control between ZCR and ZIV.
    However, when creating a credit memo request (ZCR) with respect to the intercompany billing document, we get the below error in the sales order.
    "Item category ZNLC is not defined" and "Check Item copy" with Message No: V1324.
    ZNLC is the item category that we used in the intercompany delivery document.
    We are able to ignore this message in sales order screen and save the credit memo request in VA01 and also create credit memo (ZG2) in VF01.
    Pl provide your inputs on whether we are missing any other configuration.

    In the copy control (VTAF) between ZCR (Credit memo request) and ZIV (Inter company billing) at the item level for ZNLC (Inter company item category coming source document), the following setup has been maintained
    Copying requirements : 303
    Copy schedule lines : Blank
    Pos / neg qty : Blank
    Pricing type : D
    Update doc flow : X
    Do not copy batch : blank
    Pl let me know if there are any other settings to be done in config.
