IPhone locks up when using calendar

I had no problems synching my new iPhone, and apparently all the stuff from my calendar went in properly, because I get reminders when I have an appointment due. However, if I click the calendar icon, nothing shows on the calendar and the iPhone subsequently locks up. If I am patient, the phone apparently reboots itself - an apple shows up on the screen and then all is good again. Any clues on what is happening? I have the latest itunes and upgrades.

Standard troubleshooting steps in order are power the iPhone off and on, a Reset which is done by pressing and holding the Home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release - ignoring the slide to turn off prompt when doing so, and a Restore with iTunes with two options - from your iPhone's backup or as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup. A sync is required after either restore option.

IPhone locking up when answering a multi-party call

My iPhone locks up when I either try to switch over to a 2nd call coming in. I answer the call and the phone number shows but the timer sits at zero and when I hit the home button I get MULTI PARTY CALL and my iPhone locks up. The only way out of it is to turn off my iPhone and turn it back on. I thought it was perhaps a Firmware issue but I have the latest firmwhere and even restored back to factory defaults. I had thought the problem was also when there was too much texts and voicemail and the problem was a memory issue and have cleared out all my texts as well as much of my voicemail. It still have the issue. Does anyone else have the same problem I do trying to put 1 call on hold and answer a 2nd call?

it's a total crap shoot when you answer a call while you're on one, I know it's not just me a couple of friends are having the same issue... I would love to have this fixed!

I assume you're using the "Content Aware" option for the Spot Healing brush. It can be a maddeningly stupid option -- there's no telling from how far away it will pull the replacement pixels and will leave streaks that can be very difficult to remove.
It would be best for you to include a sample image that's giving you the problem so we can suggest the best way to attack it.
In general, the "Content Aware" option works best when you use a very small brush size. That pulls in pixels closer to the area you want to heal. If you get streaks, sometimes you can use the Spot Healing brush to get rid of them by going over the area in a perpendicular direction to the streaks.

Machine freezez/lock ups when using password protected certificates in IE 11 Windows 8.1 Pro

When using certificates that have a password enabled and private keys we find the machine hangs up competly with the memory usage jumping to 99%. The main process being the Local Secuirty Authority Process that causes the machine to lock up. The work
around we have is to remove this certificate and import a new certificate making sure we un-tick the check box for private key password.
Not sure if this
KB2813237 is linked, but this hotfix is available for Windows 8.1 Pro OS.

Publish failed (when using Calendar instead of GregorianCalendar..)

I have a web service written in Workshop 9.2.2 running on a WLS9.2 Server.
One attribute in my web service is of type java.util.Calendar. Now when I try to publish that I get a "Publish Failed" almost immeditately.
HOWEVER, when I change the type of the attribute to java.util.GregorianCalender, the publish works fine...
This seems like a bug to me, as the WLS doc says that I should use Calendar as a data type for dates in web services and it clearly supports it.
Can I upgrade to the latest version of Workshop and continue using WLS9.2?

This looks like a known issue. I see that its fixed in Workshop 10.0 onwards.
If you want a fix for 9.2 version please open up a BEA support case at http://support.bea.com . Please refer to the Cr's CR340337, CR360247 when opening the case.
Can I upgrade to the latest version of Workshop and continue using WLS9.2?Yes, you can. With the latest version of workshop you can develop applications against WLS9.2.x and WLS10.x. So you would be able to use the same app on 9.2 on the latest workshop version.

Processor locks up when using Firefox, help!

I am still new to the Mac world and need some help.
I have a 2009 Macbook, with Mac OS X, 10.6.8, Processor is 2.26 and memory is 4gb.
I've noticed lately that when using Firefox I seem to have lock up issues and I can't click anything. The rainbow processor thing just keeps running and running. Often times I cannot even click the Apple icon in the tool bar in order to get to force quit. (I don't know what buttons to push for force quit)
The only way to solve the problem is to hard boot the computer and I know that is not a good thing to do. What is going on with the processor as to why it gives me hang ups when using Firefox? I have about 5-6 windows open and each has about 7-8 tabs open.
Should I upgrade to Mountain Lion? Will that help? Again, any advice or assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated, keep in mind I am not a techie kind of person, so simple terms will be best.

If anyone has a clue what might help stop this - because I'm quite sure that it's not healthy for my computer to be hard rebooted twice (or more) a day - I'd love to hear it! It's getting waaaay more than annoying, enough so that I'm ready to move to another browser to stop the problem.

Ipod Mini Locks Up When Using It With A JVC KS-PD100

Since I've updated my iPod mini to the latest version of the firmware it locks up when I use it with my "Made For iPod" JVC KS-PD100 adaptor.
This allows me to connect my ipod to my JVC car head unit and control it via the head unit.
It worked perfectly when I had the old firmware on the iPod, but now I have updated it to the latest version (after a warranty repair) I get the JVC logo appear on the screen and it all works fine with the head unit, but when I disconnect the iPod, the controls are still locked up. I then have to force a re-boot of the ipod to be able to use it again.
I've tried to download an older version of the ipod updater, but all the links I try give me the latest version of the updater when I come to install it.
My questions are
1. Has anybody else had this problem?
2. Are apple aware of it?
3. I'm guessing it's a software problem, or have I geen given a duff rarranty replacement?
4. Where can I get a copy of the older ipod updater - preferrably the october version?
Any help would be most appreciated as I've e-mailed apple and had no reply at all!

I've tried that already - but then the iPod is connected to the sterio, the iPod controls are disabled so I can't switch it off at all.
If I disconnect the iPod before turning the sterio off, the ipod stays playing until I reboot it
It worked perfectly on my old ipod with the old firmware, if I turned off the sterio, the JVC logo woulds disappear, the ipod would be paused and use of the clickwheel controls would be returned automatically.
I'm guessing it's a bug in the latest iPod firmware

My E71 will lock up when I try t use the maps options. I just bought it and am in Panama City Panama. What can I do? Also if any body has any pointer on using this thing I could use them. I am new to this type of phone.

If you have not defined a valid WEB connection for the "Positioning Server" then the Assisted GPS feature may not be able to establish a connection, which is enough to lock-up application; if you don't have a GPRS data connection you may have to disable the "Assisted GPS" feature unfortunately.
Tools > Settings > General > Positioning > Positioning Server > Access point
Also make sure Assisted GPS is checked under "Positioning Methods".

Lightroom locks up when using auto import / watch folder

Hello All
Has anyone ran into a problem with Lightroom locking up when you are using the auto import / watch folder feature. Everytime i try to even drop one file in the watched folder, I get a lightroom is not responding message. This really suck...........Everything else seems to be working so far.

I had the same problem. When i would auto import, it would stuck after one photo was imported. I have a separate partition on my harddisk for photo's (F:\) when i made an extra subdirectory (F:\Photo) and auto imported the photo's to that place the problem was solved. Why ? I don't know

It is normal for the phone to get hot when your using data such as YouTube videos, streaming music etc.. And as for the left speaker not working, the left speaker is a microphone, the right one is for sound. Don't worry, everything your iPhone is doing is normal.

IPhone Locking Up When App Running

Since I upgraded to 3.1, occasionally my iphone will lock up when I'm running an app. If I have an app open, and the phone goes to sleep, I can't power it back up and have to do a restart pressing power button and home button at the same time. This has happened with different apps, including when playing music.
Anyone else encounter this problem?
