Help please.I have forgotten my restriction passcode,and I think there is no any option except restoring(if present please share) my phone to factory setting. I have no problem doing so,but I am afraid to lose my images and especially messages. Can I restore my iPhone with all my images and message as before. And what are the possible demerits in doing so that I may face in future.

The restore from backup process is all or nothing. You can read through this thread about how to edit your backup to remove/change the restrictions passcode:

Its called Activation Lock. Take the phone to Sprint and explain your problem. It is their fault and responsibility to properly reset used phones.

If you didn't back it up, your data is gone. There is no "solution" after the fact.

1st, u could just restart ur home, pressing the home and power botton together for few sec,if it wont work .....
2nd, try restore ur phone with itune, and it ****** me off last time when i dont normally backup with my itune after the icould thing showup, so restore with icloud backup wont 100% work, if not just try restore from older icloud backup. if it still wont work.....
3rd hand it over the the apple dealer... they are the pro... never ever open it up urself or bring it to one of ur so call SMART FRIENDS, they will freak up ur phone even worst.... i think this method will definately solve ur problem..

Your phone is in recovery mode. All your data are already gone.

Is there a special reason to do it with iTunes? You can do it on the phone by going to Settings/General/Reset - Erase all content and settings.
To do it using iTunes connect the phone to your computer using a USB port directly on the computer, not a USB hub. Click on its name in iTunes, then click Restore iPhone. When the Restore finishes choose to set up as a new device.
Note that for either method you will have to disable Find my iPhone first, either in Settings/icloud on the phone or by logging in to https://icloud.com/find.

How do I restore to factory setting AND retain the tunes and apps on the phone or get them synched?

I'm getting the message "itunes cannot read the contents of the iphone" and asking me to restore to factory settings when attaching to PC. I have songs downloaded from itunes on my PC, and songs and apps downloaded to the iPhone from iTunes too. How do I restore to factory setting AND retain the tunes and apps on the phone or get them synched? The iPhone is working fine
iPhone4 v4.2.1 (8C148) (can't update this till above sorted)
iTunes 10.2.2.12
Basically, if there is some way of downloading a 2nd copy of tunes/apps already purchased I can resolve my issue, but I don't know if this can be done. Ican't find a FAQ on this. Thanks in advance

Ipad 2 still crashes after restoring to factory setting after upgrade to IOS 7.0.6

After recent upgrade to IOS 7.0.6, my ipad 2 started playing up. Lost the use of camera like many others. Followed advice to restore to factory setting after connecting to Itunes. Took several attempts to do so as it wasn't able to locate my ipad in itunes and kept saying it couldn't find my iphone? Not sure why it was looking for iphone. Anyway, I disconnected and turned off the ipad holding on to the Sleep button and home together and left it off overnight. Next morning, I found I could turn my ipad on. Feeling relieved, I started to input my details, etc, and in the middle of doing so, it just went blank and the apple logo came on. It kept going off and coming back again. I just turned it off again using the sleep and home button together and left it for a day. The next day I was able to get into my home screen but after using it to log into my emails, etc, it just went off with the apple logo appearing again. I really regretted upgrading to IOS 7.0.6. Nothing works properly anymore, ie my camera, the sleep button..... Wish I could restore back the older version. Is there any hope/cure for my sick ipad? Hate to spend lots of money on repair. Please help..

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. If you did not do step 4 properly, start all over again.

I resetted iphone 4 to factory setting so i can pass it to my brother since i brought a new iphone 5. But when my brother took over this iphone 4, he can't charged the iphone & it seems that the battery can't hold the power. Tried using both charger & USB, the same problem persisted. I tried that but I still got the message "Unable to verify account information." I saved it anyway and when I go to the Exchange email account it says "Cannot Get Mail" "The connection to the server failed." We are running Microsoft Exchange 2010 and I was always able to sync my calendar and email before I upgraded to IOS 6.

If you're receiving that message, you data are already gone. If you've been using iCloud and backing up your phone as recommended, you should have no data loss. If you have not, well, hard lesson learned. Good luck.

IPAD not coming up after restoring to factory setting

after a succesful trial on a colleagues itune pending upgrade of mine to the latest version, we successfully set up mi nenly acquired IPAD but later restore to factory setting when we discovered it was 'not charging'. Unfortunately, my IPAD has not been coming up after my upgrade (it is not even seeing itune anymore)- not even on anybody else's system. Can you please offer any help.

i had a scare tonight as IMAME4all is out i thought id try to have a look and my ipad wouldnt restore in itunes i tried three times and on the last as it was trying to wait for ipad i noticed that home sharing was on in itunes i turned of off in the menu and bang it bleww up .... / no not really but it started restoring and all good for normal pad.

sure pretty simple. make a backup of your current settings

then restore device from old backup you need pics off of
then import pics to computer

you may need to save pics to camera roll first
then restore the new backup and sync pics back to phone via itunes

Help! Z61t - restore to factory setting problem

I tried to restore my Z61t to factory setting.
I did it from the thinkvantage > rescue & recovery > restore to factory setting
after that the laptop restarted by it shelf.
when it started, It asked me to put in the Recovery suplemental CD.
I put in my CD recovery which was I created my chelf after I bought this laptop two years ago.
but, it said 'wrong CD'.
so, click cancel. and the laptop restarted by it shelf again.
and keep asking me to put in the CD Recovery.
Should I buy this CD recovery from IBM?
and I am still wondering, if after I buy the CD. the restoring still not working.
anyone can help or give me advice for this matter?

If you are booting using the blue Access IBM / ThinkVantage button you need to select to restore your system and then select factory restore. Do not select to restore from an image, the disc you created will not work.
Using Discs
Hopefully you created more than one disc; you should have created at least two, maybe three? Boot from the first disc, when it asks for the supplemental disc you need to click on "no", (otherwise you will get the wrong disc message), it will then ask for the first recovery disc; this is when you need to insert the second disc you made.
