Issue in  product category replication from R/3 to SRM

Mehul G Shah: BACKGROUND:
We are in the process of replicating Material Group from R/3 to SRM
using transaction R3AR2 & R3AR4. Our Pre-Production server got
refreshed recently & this has caused all EBM data inclucing Logical
System & Destination being overwritten with EBP data.
We have maintained middleware paramaters, viz., CRMCONSUM, CRMRFCPAR,
CRMPAROLTP & also TBE11.
We have also maintained sites in CRM Middleware Monitoring Cockpit
using SMWP.
We have also tried after deleting entries in tables CRMPRLS (R/3) &
CRMMLSGUID (EBM) as suggested by SAP note 765018
We have followed steps mentioned in link /people/marcin.gajewski/blog/2007/02/05/how-to-replicate-material-master-from-r3-to-srm
(But we are not clear about site attributes which needs to maintain as per the CRM Middleware Monitoring Cockpit.)
ISSUE:
Material Group gets replicated to Product Category in SRM. However, the
Product Category gets replicated with Logical System which is not
maintained in EBM

    Hi friends,
    We are trying to replicate product category from one of our R/3 backend to the SRM box. There is only one product category we have specified in the  filters  in R3AC3, but DNL_CUST_PROD1 is showing status running from past 3 days.
    I would like to point out that the same scenario is working fine for other R/3 backends.
    Any idea/suggestion about the reason for this issue in replication process?

    Hi Robin,
    We are also expecting some customizing problem as the reason for this issue.
    I just want to again point out that Product category replication is working for other R/3 backends. Only one specific R/3 backend is causing this issue.
    Can you advise what could be these backend specific settings and where we can verify them?

  • Material replication from R/3 to SRM - Issue with Material group

    Hello All,
                      I am working on BADI PRODUCT_CUSTOMER2 and method MAP_R3_TO_CRM_MATERIALMaterial replication part from R/3 to SRM.
    I am using a Ztable to map r/3 material group to SRM material group(Product category).
    For example Material M1 with material group 100 is transferred to SRM. Material group(Product category) 100 exist in SRM, but I am changing the material group to 200 in the product_customer2 badi.  its working fine.
    In another scenario, Material with material M1 with material group 300. Material group(product category) 300 does not exist in SRM,
    I am changing the material group to 200 in the bdoc, in the product_customer2 badi. It is not working. The LUW is failing in SMQ2 transaction with the error "Error in Mapping (Details: transaction SMW01)". The BDOC is failing with error "Category for material group 300 does not exist"
    I tried to deactivate the badi PRODUCT_CUSTOMER2, even then the FM MAP_BAPIMTCS_AND_PROCESS is validating the material group from R/3.
    I tried to change the material group 300 to the existing material group 200 at initial stage in debugging in function module MAP_BAPIMTCS_AND_PROCESS but still the bdoc is failing with error "No storage form defined for product type 01 / logical system".
    I am doing my testing using the following steps.
    1. change the material descriptioni in MM02 in R/3.
    2. An item is displayed in the queue in SMQ2 in SRM.
    3. I have debugged the LUW and analyzed my badi by setting breakpoint at method MAP_R3_TO_CRM_MATERIAL, its changing the material group in the bdoc properly.
       that didnt work.
       also i tried to change the material group in the function module MAP_BAPIMTCS_AND_PROCESS before the badi is called.
    4. I am checking the BDOc status using tcode SMW01 and checking the material using tcode COMMPR01.
    can someone tell me how I can change the R/3 material group to SRM material group at the time of mapping in SRM?

    Hi find below for the product cat
    Steps to create the product category in SRM:
    1) Create MM material groups in ECC client. This will create a transport. Go to SRM Tcode R3AS and select the object u201CDNL_CUST_PROD1u201D from the list and run it. You can monitor the job using R3AM1 in SRM. This will bring the material group into SRM. This can be seen in TCode u201CCOMM_HIERARCHYu201D in SRM.
    2) Once it is done. Go to IMG in SRM and go to path SRM> SRM server> Cross app biz settings> Account aassigmnet> Define GL code for Acc *** Cat and Prod Cat. Maintain the GL code against this prod cat for all the account assignment codes. This is client specific setting and need to be done in every client by opening it. This GL code is given in the form in ticket.
    3) Do a test and check if the product category is available for procurement in SC.

  • Product Category mapping from Punch-out to Shopping Carts

    Hi,
    We are implementing Punch-Out catalogs. We are on SRM_SERVER 550 and SP 11.
    Product Category brought from field 'MATGROUP' field of structure 'CATALOG_CONTENT' in BADI BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER is picked up and wrote our own logic for mapping it with the available UNSPSC codes either at Family level or Segment level. The nearest available UNSPSC code is picked up and passed to output structures ENRICHED_ITEM_DATA and ET_SC_ITEM_DATA in the field 'CATEGORY_ID'.
    This is tested by putting external debugging points and found to be working fine.
    However when transferring data to Shopping carts, the default Product Category for User ID is shown up instead of the one from output of BADI BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER.
    Please let me know if i am doing correct or any suggestions are appreciated.

    even we had the same issue -->
    please note that category in SRM system has both category id and also category guid
    so , you need to retrieve --> the guid of the category using the FM
    CALL FUNCTION 'BBP_CATEGORY_GET_GUID'
            EXPORTING
              category_id   = category_id
            IMPORTING
              category_guid = iv_comm_cat
            EXCEPTIONS
              NOTHING_FOUND = 1
              OTHERS        = 2.
    and then assign as shown below
    wa_bbp_oci_enritem-category = iv_comm_cat.
    and then modify ENRICHED_ITEM_DATA

  • Vendor replication from R/3 to SRM

    Hi,
    I am using BBPGETVD for the vendor replication from R/3 to SRM.
    I need to modify some fields related to Company data and Vendor data of the vendor during the replication (for example: Vendor should always be created with Invoice Receipt Expected check as checked, Transmission media as 'Mail' etc).
    Can anybody tell me which BAdi or Exit i can use for this purpose.

  • Replicating authorization roles via HR replication from ECC 6 to SRM 5.0

    Hi,
    I'm interested in knowing whether anyone has used the distribution model to copy roles (AG objects) between ECC 6 and SRM 5.0.
    Someone said that it's possible so I would like to validate that statement as I don't know whether it is possible and practical.
    If you have any knowledge or experience could you please share it?

    I was told that it can be done but I don't know enough about the HR replication process to acknowledge or challenge, hence the question.
    Are you implying that it's not possible or simply that it's not done?
    I had an earlier post regarding assigning roles to positions in SRM Replicating authorization roles via HR replication from ECC 6 to SRM 5.0 that you replied to but never replied to my subsequent question. It can be done because one of my other clients is doing it. We're however unable to get it work at my current client's site. Do you have any experience with this subject?

  • SRM product category replication issue

    I am trying to replicate the product category from ECC to SRM
    I have run the R3AS, but no success,
    In SRM SMQ2 no entry created
    In ECC SMQ1 no entry created
    In R3AM1 "DNL_CUST_PROD1" is running status, not changing to green
    I also found that
    In R3AM1 DNL_CUST_BASIS3 also running and both the status is block
    Please help to resolve status.

    Hello Roy,
    Kindly follow the below steps to resolve the issue here.
    1) Maintain the table TBLSYSDEST in both SRM and ERP system with regards to the logical system and Technical and Dialog rfc's.
    Also assign the MW_admin in the rfc user.Register the queues with * smqr.
    2) Follow the sap note 720819 and maintain all the 5 tables correctly.
    3) Before you start the download, you must use transaction SE38 to execute the report BBP_PRODUCT_SETTINGS_MW in the EBP system. In the 'User' field, enter the consumer name that you selected (for example, "SRM").
    Select the radio button depending on whether service products should be active or not. The report starts with the default settings in test mode.
    4) Ensure that the table CRMATAB in ERP system holds the entries after the step 1. IF it is blank then follow the sap note 1498111 and run the report SMOF_FILL_CRMATAB in SRM.
    5) Also check for the R3-Guid in the tables CRMMLSGUID (SRM system) and CRMPRLS (ERP system ). Both should be identical with the logical system.
    Kindly abort and load the object again, it should work fine.
    Also to replicate the new material groups, you need to trigger the delta load.

  • Custom fields mapping issue of sales order replication from R/3 to CRM

    Hello Experts,
    I have to replicate sales orders from R/3 to CRM system (Initial and Delta)
    The issue is I have custome fields in R/3 which are maintained in custom table(Z table) in R/3.
    We added those custom fields in CRM customer_i table to synchronise with R/3 data.
    To MAP R/3 custom fields to CRM custom fields, i have the following customization.
    1. Added the custom function module in the event CRMO_200 and moved all the custom fields into interal table  IT_OTHER_INFO.
    2. The intrnal table IT_OTHER_INFO with data is passed into CRM standard function modules.
    3. But in CRM the BADI 'CRM_DATAEXCHG_BADI' implementation does not have the input parameter of internal table TI_OTHER_INFO.
    All my custom data is in internal table TI_OTHER_INFO.
    Please suggest where can i map this data to CRM enhanced fields.

    I went through the Note (1053817). It is good. I understand that the custom fields should enhance in the BAPE_VBAP in R/3.
    My Scenario:
    Goal: Orders replication from R/3 to CRM along with Custom fields.
    In R/3, all the custom fields are maintained in Z table (Not VBAK or VBAP).
    All these custom fields are belongs to Item level.
    In CRM, The custom fields are maintained in CRMD_CUSTOMER_I table though AET.
    I need to MAP these custom fields to CRM while order replication from R/3 to CRM.

  • Error in Product Category Replication

    Hi Gurus,
    We are trying to replicate the product category from R/3 4.7C system to SRM5.0 system.
    All the relevant table settings have been done in both the systems and we have successfully loaded objects: DNL_CUST_BASIS3 and DNL_CUST_PROD0 from R/3 to SRM system.
    Now, the problem is with loading of the object DNL_CUST_PROD1. When we start its intial upload, the outbound queue in SRM system shows that the status of the queue is "SYSFAIL". The details of the error message show : "Filter criteria invalid. See note 0419752". We have set filter for T023 table for MAKTL field, so that only one material group is replicated from R/3 client.
    We have checked the relevant release versions mentioned in the note, but our systems are on a higher version release.
    Could anyone let us know which correction patch to implement in this case?

    OK. GO to R3AR2 AND CLICK THE PENCIL And click new entries
    now you get requester name
    adapter object =DNL_CUST_PROD1
    table name =T023
    field name = MATKL
    LOW = you are material grup which you want to only rplicate
    option = Equality (=low)
    high = empty
    go to r3ar4 and give your request name and supply dest and source that all
    check comm_category table.

  • SRM Product Category replication

    Hi,
    I have a problem while replicating the product category from SRM 5.0 to R/4 4.7 system. When I run the load the entry is stuck in the queue and the error message says:
    The current application triggered a termination with a short dump.
    I have reset the status of the queue and tried to execute it again and it gives me the error as "Function module does not exist or Exception raised".
    I have checked St22 and SM21 for any system logs, but could not find any.
    Can any one please let me know what could be the possible problem.

         SRM: SMQ2 queue R3A* entries, otherwise follow-on loads would fail         
         (note 872533 top 1).                                                       
       - Using ta COMM_HIERARCHY, R3PRODSTYP, MAT_ check if                         
         SetType COMM_PR_PUR_1 exists. If not, create it manually                   
         (confirm raising pop-up).                                                  
       - Apply note 1049693 and run attached job of the note.

  • Unit of measure issue in Product Category Units Quota Planning

    Hi experts,
    My client needs to maintain quota for salespersons based on R/3 product hierarchy level. (1000 kg of Product Hierarchy Level 01234 per month, 2000 KG of Product Hierarchy Level 56789 per month, vs.). R3PRODHIER is the category assigned to Sales application.
    So in Quota Planning, sub-assignment block Product Category Units, I want to maintain quotas. I press Add button, mark the Hierarchy level I'd like to plan quota to, and press Choose button, but "Unit of Measure" field does not fill up. Surprisingly, in the dropdown list, there is not an option which I can select (i.e. 'KG'). The list is empty, even after I fill Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q4 values. So, I am not able to use the quota planning functionality.
    Any ideas why this is happening and how to fix it?

    I see exactly one year ago (almost to the minute) you posted this solution.
    I am having exactly the same issue as you had. I also assumed the problem lay in ECC with unit of measure having to be defined at that same level.
    I have asked our SD team about this and they are not maintaining units of measure at higher levels of the hierarchy, only on the product itself.
    Our units of measure will be EA, TO, KG
    So how do I get around this? I don't completely understand what you have explained in your solution.

    I am customizing Product Category ( for CRM 5.0 standalone) for Material using Building Block guides. I have created root hierarchy and category as described. Now I want to create category for Sales products using the root category. While creating this category the BB guide states following customization steps
    Basic Data on Category
    Product Type     Material
    Product / Object Assignment Possible     
    Product / Object Maintenance: Control Fields
    Can Maintain Documents (Click this)     
    Can Maint. Conditions (click this)     
    But in my case I am not able to see following in Product / Object Maintenance: Control Fields section (following 2 controls)
    Can Maintain Documents     
    Can Maint. Conditions     
    Because of this I am not able to get Set types COMM_PR_UNIT, COMM_PR_LGTEXT1, and COMM_PR_SHTEXT
    Pl provide guidance and assist this is quite urgent.

    1. You have created a  hierarchy...
    2. you have cretad a root category...say CRM_PROD
    3. check whether you have created a sub category under the root category.
        to do that... Please click on CRM_PROD.. right click and create  category..
    then we can see the

  • Overwriting Conditions data during Material Replication from R/3 to SRM.

    Hi,
          When creating a new info record and then running the material replication program everything looks OK. However, if for the same material you create a new info record or change the existing info record and then run the material replication, some of the previous data is removed.
          We implemented BADI(PRODUCT_CUSTOMER2) to read info records from R/3. When i debug BADI all the info record and condition info is populated. Once the control leaves the BADI standard SAP code is not inserting/updating delta condition records. It is only populating latest info record.
          SRM 4.0
          Support pack level : 11
          BADI Name: PRODUCT_CUSTOMER2
          Method Name: MAP_R3_TO_CRM_MATERIAL
          Conditions Populated in structure : COMT_PROD_SERVICE_BDOC-                                                         CONDITIONS-CND_BBP_WORKING_SET.
