Item layout combinations

I would like to display some of my items in the following format:
DISPLAY NAME
IMAGE
TEXT DESCRIPTION
with both the display name and image linkable to underlying documents stored in the content area.
The only way to make the display name and image linkable is to use the element "DISPLAY NAME AND IMAGE" which inconveniently places them side by side.
To have these elements on separate line I can use the separate IMAGE and DISPLAY NAME elements but I lose the links which means I cannot download the files!
Also if I set the number of columns for a layout area such as NEWS or REGULAR ITEMS for example to 2, the graphical layout seems staggered between the columns, especially if on one column there is a small description and on the other there is an item with an image and a description.
This looks untidy and unprofessional.
I can also only move the items left through the columns and not up and down the columns.
Are there any workarounds for my first point and is anything going to be done to rectify the other issues?

John,
Its not currently to have more than 1 attribute link to the item or the document it is attached.
Thanks for you feedback on the other issues. we constantly incorporating feedback form the fields into our product to make the interface more useful and easy-to-use.

  • How to know that if an item/lot # combination is produced in an ORG?

    Hi All,
I need to use this in a custom process which will manipulate the transactions in AR_INTERFACE TABLE before auto invoice process is ran. But my question is how can we know that an item is manufactured in a particular oraganization. Here is the business case I have:
The producing organization for a finished good is defined as the 1st inventory organization to have a production transaction type for an item/lot# combination. If there is not a producing transaction for that item/lot# combination, the producing organization will be the inventory organization where the 1st material transaction was performed on that item/lot# combination. The custom program should then check for each line from Order Management in the AR Autoinvoice table and set the sales rep equal to the sales rep of the item/lot combination’s producing Organization. In the event that a single the line in the AR Autoinvoice table is related to a shipment that has multiple lots, the producing organization will be the lot with the most quantity. In the event that the quantities are the same, pick the first producing organization.
Can anyone help me on this please?
    Thanks,
    Prathima

    Hi Prathima,
I have a similar issue: depending on the organization the item was manufactured, I have to change global attribute values. The first idea was looking for the first wip completion transaction for that item/lot. Due to performance reasons, we gave up of this idea. Second one was a trigger in mtl_material_transactions to populate a custom table: if transaction is a wip completion and item/lot are not in the custom table, add and assign them to the organization. The last one and the one we are using: we assigned a letter to each one of our inventory organization and made this letter the lot prefix for that organization. So, if letter A is assigned to org1, lot A0001 was produced by org1.
    Hope it helps,

    Hi,
    In IMG (transaction SPRO) under
Financial Accounting -> Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable -> Business Transactions -> Incoming Payments -> Manual Incoming Payments -> Make Settings for Processing Open Items -> Define Line Layout
Here you determine which information is to be made available on the screen when processing line items (for example, document type, document number, account number, company code).

  • Open Items Layout

I'm sure there is a basic answer to this so hopefully someone can help.
When accessing payment processing or customer clearing transactions (F-28, F-26, F-32) the Process Open Items screen initially has a layout which contains a number of columns including a Text column. This is the case for some users but not all.
When you go to Settings >> Line layout, the Active variant is displayed in the pop up window. Once this pop up window is closed (even if no other layout is selected) the screen updates to a layout without the Text column. Selection of any of the layout options, including the original Active variant via Settings >> Line layout does not actually bring back the original layout, the only way to get this back to to come out of the transaction and return.
It seems like there is a default layout which is not selectable but the screen will initially display with this "invisible" layout. Is there anyway to find this out since some users layout will default with the Text column required and some will not.
Please note, the option for users to manually change the layout via Settings >> Change line layout produces an error ("...status not modifiable") but I'm not sure why the users should have a different default and I would like to bring their views into line with each other.

    Hi,
Could you please check, whether there is in table TCVIEW an entry
for the user '   .TCADMIN.'. As soon as such an entry exists,
these informations are used when the open item list is called
in a clearing transaction. Based on the program logic the entry of
TCVIEW has a higher priority then the variant settings.
That means, each time you call open items in a clearing transaction, the
table control settings of '   .TCADMIN.' are used and the personal
    parameters are ignored.
So please consider, if you really need this entry of user '   .TCADMIN.'
in TCVIEW. Settings of the table control have always a higher priority
as variants. That's the default behaviour in all SAP FI transactions.
You will see a similar entries as the following one:
    TCVIEW
    MANDANT TCPROGRAM     TCUSERTYPE TCUSER        TCCONTROL
          SAPDF05X      A             .TCADMIN.     TC_6102 (or similar one)
Kindly delete the same in order to get the desired result.
Please also refer to the attached SAP note TCVIEW
    MANDANT TCPROGRAM     TCUSERTYPE TCUSER        TCCONTROL
          SAPDF05X      A             .TCADMIN.     TC_6102 (or similar one)
Kindly delete the same in order to get the desired result.
Please also refer to the attached SAP note 1228601 containing this
    information.
Hope this could help you with the resolution of this issue.

  • Using bapi_po_create1 to create PO with return item - Order Combination

    Hello,
There's a shipping tab that appears in a purchase return item, and in it there's a flag called Order Combination.
Only i can't seem to find a way to change that flag using this BAPI, nor using bapi_po_change.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you in advance.
    Duarte

    Hi
Its a setting that you maintain in the customer master reord that defaults it.
So if you want this to be flagged for some vendors and for some no flag the you need to maintain accordingly in the Customer master data  - Sales are data  Shipping tab
If you want it to be maintained through BAPI then populate the same in  POSHIPPINGEXP structure
    Thanks & Regards

  • File Browse Page Item Layout

    Hi,
I have a page with a file-browse item which I created with APEX 4.1: there's a "Choose"-Button on the right hand side of the file path. Now I created another page with a file-browse item in Apex 4.2 and it looks slightly different: now the button is named "Browse" and is on the left hand side of the file-path. I'm wondering how to influence the layout of the browse item. Is there a way to do this?
    Thanks,
    Stephan

    Hi Stephan,
the button text and position is defined by the browser. It's not something APEX can control. Is it possible that you use a different browser now. If you have a look at your 4.1 app, does it still show "Choose"?

  • How to modify item layout in F-28 / FB03?

    Hi all,
I would like to add fields in item line specific to customer such as Asset, Purch. Doc., Sales Doc. in transaction F-28. And of course in the transaction FB03 for displaying the document.
I thaught that there was a screen layout associated to the document type but I found nothing like that.
Could you help me doing this please?
    Thanks for your help!
    David

    Hi,
Changing FB03 document display with existing available columns (of standard SAP) you can refer to:
    https://docs.google.com/View?id=ddhfd9x3_248dq8wspdg
But, if those columns/fields do not exist in standard SAP, then I am afraid that you need ABAP to handle it.  This applies to FB03 and F-28, or any other Tcodes.
    Thanks.

  • Invoice Items Layout on MIRO

    Hi,
I can drag and drop the columns in MIRO as I want when doing MIRO outside workflow.
We have created a BDC recording to call MIRO and assigned it to method of workflow. We selected the "Purchase Order - Delivery Note" layout on the BDC, but now I need to change the sequence of the columns permanently as per the user's requirement.
However, when I do config on the screen layout "Purchase Order - Delivery Note" to make some fields invincible or required, how can I define the column sequence via SHD0?
The problem I am facing is that the end users must manually drag and drop the columns to see the info they need to do L-IV via workflow. We need to change the sequence of the columns permanently. The end users can't afford to drag and drop for all work items taking into consideration that they receive 100's of items daily.
Please help with advise on how to achieve this?
    Annelize Meyer

    Hi,
what does exactly do the BDC recording?
Instead of the bdc recording try something like:
Menu option "other invoice document" gets disabled in MIR7 while Recording
    Best regards.

  • How to display customer name in sales analysis report (item) layout

    Hi,
Currently I try to run the sales analysis report by item with secondary selection on customer from & customer to.
Is it possible for the layout to display the customer from & customer to.
I try to look for the table name OFLT, but I cannot find it.
My main concern is to display the customer name in the layout for sales analysis by item.
    Thanks

    Hi,
The table OFLT stores selection criteria for all form. If there is no customer name/code in system PLD, it is very hard to find table or system variable.
Tried to get customer name, not successful.
Alternatively can try to create customized query to get additional field in sales analysis report.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • BPS Layout - Combinations on transaction data issue

    <p>
I've got a planning level with some characteristics (10) and one key figure (0QUANTITY). All the characteristics are restricted for one value in the level, except one, which is restricted by an exit variable for one or more values (depending from other parameters). Letu2019s call this characteristic 0MATERIAL.
On this level Iu2019ve got two planning layouts: both have Material on the lead column and quantity on the data column (with all the other chars in the header): layout 1 displays all the possible combinations, while layout 2 displays only combinations from transaction data.
This way I let the user select the material with layout 1 (writing on the quantity column), and with layout 2 I show him his selection (only the materials with quantity other than 0).
    </p>
    <p>
Everything is working fine when Material is restricted for more than 1 value:  I can see the material number on layout 2 only if I set a quantity on layout 1.</p>
<p>When material is restricted for only one value in my level (with my exit variable), both layout 1 & 2 show one record (with the material number and a u20180u2019 quantity); in deed Iu2019m expecting layout 2 (which shows only combinations from transaction data) to be empty.</p>
    <p>
It seems like the system is adding a dummy record in my layout: it happens even if I delete all the data in my infocube.
Does anyone know how to fix this and display layout 2 with no records?</p>
Edited by: federico blarasin on Aug 10, 2010 5:06 PM

    Hello Marc,
I'm sorry but it's not that easy
There's no data in my cube (I deleted all the data requests in RSA1), there's no data in my planning buffer.
If I change the selection in my level, adding another material (with the characteristic restricted for two values), everything works fine:
    -layout 1 shows 2 rows (with quantity = 0);
-layout 2 shows 0 row (there's no data, layout is blank).
If in my level I restrict the material for only 1 value, it will result in both layouts showing 1 row, with 0 quantity.
I tried to reproduce the issue, building a dummy level with some chars and a key figure. Every char is restricted for only one value, except one char (on the lead column in the layout) which is restricted for two or more values: everything works fine.
But if I restrict the lead char for 1 only value, the layout supposed to show the transactional data shows me a dummy record (it's not blank).

  • Display Item texts in Purchase Order items layout as nested table

    Hi to all,
my issue is the following: I have to display on a form (using transaction SFP) Purcahse Order items and their texts. I built a context in which I put item texts table as a nested table of items table. I followed example "FP_TEST_NESTED_TABLE" in SE38 but I can't diplay item texts under item row. I try to explain: I want my output similar to the following
Order  Item   |   Quantity  |    Price Uom |  Unit Price
    00010                2500              ST                0.30
                                                                 | This is first row of item texts for item 00010
                                                                 | This is second row of item texts for item 00010
                                                                 | This is third row of item texts for item 00010
                                                                 | This is ..........

    00020                234              ST                0.80
                                                                 | This is first row of item texts for item 00020

                                                                 | This is third row of item texts for item 00020
                                                                 | This is ..........
                                                                 | ........
    Any suggestion? please?
    thank you very miuch
    Enrico

    Hi Enrico,
I have worked on a similar requirement. I have created the whole fields including the item text in a single internal table
    Following was my approach
I have distinguished the Table body content into two subforms which will be wrapped into one main subform ( representing table body say sub_body). Whose property is set to flowed ( With West Text  property) and repeat each item
    1. Enclose the table columns into subform say sub1, set its propert to flowed with west text property. Alighnment of the columns embaed in Sub1 should be made by adjusting its width and spacing .
    2. Enclose the Corresponding item text ( Which will be one of the colums of the internal tabel mapped ) into Sub2.
As far as standard text display is concerned which can be displayed in two ways as explained in one of my earlier posts.

    Hope this helps,

Also in jdeveloper 11.1.1.2.0 the first exception is not thrown in the logs (this occurs only in jdeveloper 11.1.1.4.0) but the behavior of the jhs lov after the return of the popup is the same through both the ide versions.
    Thanks
    George

    George,
Somebody else reported the same problem, and provided a testcase.
We just fixed the issue for the upcoming JHS 11.1.1.3 release.
