Lost proof of purchase

I was recently able to get some good advice from the community about getting the serial number for my iPad that was stolen and I'm hoping you guys can help me again!
So I've managed to get the serial number and submit the claim to my insurers, however they now want me to submit Proof of Purchase.....surprise surprise - I can't find it!! No email copy or hard copy.
I've seen on a few of the discussions that you can contact the store you purchased it from and they can help retrieve this....is this actually true and would they reissue the proof of purchase??
Ideally I'd like to know for sure before I contact them as I live in the UK but purchased the device in Hawaii so it's going to be a **** of an expensive phonecall if there isn't anything they can do!!!
Any advice you have would be hugely appreciated!

Help finding IMEI number and proof of purchase for lost iPhone!

Hi everyone,
I recently lost my iPhone 4 and for the life of me cannot find any record of my IMEI number, which I will need to make an insurance claim. Does anyone know where I might be able to get a hold of this for instance through iTunes on the computer that I backed it up on, or over iCloud?
Also, for the insurance claim, I need to have a proof of purchase. I no longer have the receipt from when I bought it (in an Apple store), however, would it be possible to get something through Apple themselves that would act as a proof of purchase?

The SN is on your box, you can also find it by going to iTunes>Preferences(under the edit menu in Windows)>Devices...hoover your mouse pointer over your iPhone backup, & a popup will appear showing your SN & IMEI number.
As for a copy of your purchase receipt, call AppleCare, or login to your support profile online.

I have had my Mac book stolen & I can't find any proof of purchase, packaging etc.
The Mac Book was purchased 2009 and I registered the Mac Book on the day of purchase.
I have saved various bit of info, the Serial No: W8******7XJ
Can you verify this please?

Lost all my purchases in ITunes

I can retrieve my purchase history and I have proof I purchased (receipts). Is there any way to recover files that were lost in a hard drive crash??

The policy on lost songs is that you have to pay to download them again. You could try contacting the iTunes Music Store Customer Service and you may be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download however they are not under any obligation to do so:
"Once a Product is purchased and you receive the Product, it is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage the Product, and Apple shall be without liability to you in the event of any loss, destruction, or damage."

What to do if I don't have my proof of purchase for AppleCare, but I am registered?

Hey, I am wondering what will happen if I need service and don't have my receipt? The AppleCare coverage checker page where you type your serial number, says I have coverage until March 27, 2015. I do not have any proof of purchase, as it got lost in a move. I am just curious if I can get around that part, as long as my serial number is registered and says I'm covered? Has anyone had this problem and gotten around it? Right now I posted another thread about my MacBook Pro being locked up with that circle with a slash through it thing, so I may need the Apple Care. Thanks...

It sounds as if you are concerned about the AppleCare coverage you purchased for your MacBook Pro. You can check that Apple has a record of your support coverage by entering your serial number in ths form on this page -

Order status - waiting for proof of purchase

Hello How long did it take Mentor Media to update order status after sending scan of proof of purchase? I send it two days ago and i wonder if it got lost or simply upate of this information is taking so much time for Mentor Media.

How do I get a proof of purchase for my iphone from apple?

I bought an iPhone from O2 but then had to send the phone back to Apple for them to replace. I have now subsequently needed to claim on my insurance with O2 as my phone has been lost but I need a proof of purchase for the original phone.
How do I get this?

You should have received a service statement, either via email or with the replacement iPhone. That's all the "proof of purchase" Apple can provide that I know of. If you did not receive any sort of statement or paperwork showing that the iPhone was replaced, contact Apple technical support and ask if they can send you something.

My Ipod needs hardware repair, but don't have proof-of-purchase

Hi guys, I'm new over here. I don't know if I'm even posting in the right place, or if these forums are here for this kinds of questions. Sorry If I'm using them the wrong way...
The thing is that I'm having some troubles with my Ipod Touch. I first realized that there was something wrong with it when I tried plugging to a car adapter. It kind of sounded over the radio, but with very low volume, lots of noise, and without announcing that it was charging.
Then, I went to my computer, plugged it in, and notice that it wasn't getting any charge neither, nor wasn't being recognized by Itunes nor the typical USB discovery. Then I went to my nearest Apple Store and the guy told me that he needed a proof-of-purchase receipt to validate the warranty and repair the Ipod, and that if I didn't have one, I'd have to pay for the repair, and that for what it looks, I'm better off buying a new Ipod.
The thing is that my mom bought my Ipod last November, in the Lenox Square Apple Store in Atlanta, and she then came to Venezuela and lost the receipt (maybe she forgot she needed it, or nobody told her about the warranty so she threw it away).
My question is this basically: what can I do? I've thought of contacting the Lenox Square Store (preferable via email) to explain them what happened, so that maybe they could help me get something that would work as a proof-of-purchase, but there're no email addresses easily visible and I don't wanna waste a Long distance call just to get bummed out.
What do you guys suggest?

I did! And according to the link you gave, it says that my Ipod is Registered, Expired for Telephone Technical Support, and Active for Repairs and Service Coverage, with an estimated expiration date of November 26, 2010, which seems about right--that's the week my mom came back from her trip!
So I'm a little bit more hopeful now, but still a little worrisome: the guy at the Apple Store checked the Serial Number using the bar code beneath the Ipod Box and said, "I need proof-of-purchase 'cause according to the system, this Ipod left a Store on May 2009, so it's ALMOST out of warranty, and Apple will require them that I give them a copy of the receipt."
Still. I'm thinking of printing that screenshot and showing it to him.

Serial Number Replacement and Valid Proof of Purchase

I've lost my serial number for Logic Studio. I've of course read that this number can be replaced by calling in and providing a 'valid proof of purchase.' However this was purchased for me as a gift nearly three years ago, so my question is what is considered a valid proof of purchase?

i just bought a used i phone 6 64G from eBay. It is in a very good condition almost new almost a month or two old . Its is also under Apple warranty which can be determined from their website as well. The seller has not given me any proof of purchase as he has already mentioned that i don't need it anyway cz the warranty limit can be confirmed from their website .
my question is simple .
do i need the original proof of purchase to claim a warranty repair ? cz this line on apples website really bothers me
"A validated purchase date lets Apple quickly find your product and provide the help you need "and that i don't have it .. just need to confirm if all is alright now a bit late but for the info it is .. then may be i can ask this guy for the original receipt ?
or any suggestions what to do if one don't have the original receipts at all

but to answer your questions ..
1-the eBay gives the proof of those purchases which are from eBay .The original receipt of the new phone when it was first sold, i was asking for that because i thought that the receipt from ebay wont work here despite i have it , the first buyer should have given it to me but told me that i dont need it and he has lost that anyway .
2 used here means that i m the second owner and it was sold to me under warranty (which extends for 9 months more) from another user ..usually people who sell devices give the original proof of purchase but this time i wasnt given .
so i just wanted to confirm if i need to show the first receipt from the apple store to prove that my device is under warranty or the date that shows from their database alone is enough to claim warranty.
i hope you understand what i meant .. its for my own confirmation and to clear my doubt ..

Imei - need proof of purchase from Apple

I have an iPhone 3GS which I lost and it was then found again, but because it was lost O2 put a block on the imei number. I have been ask to supply proof of purchase so I can get it unlocked, but the imei is different because I had a problem with my phone and it was replaced at the Apple Store. SO O2 say there is nothing they can do, so is it possible to get a 'proof of purchase/ownership' from Apple?

Hello back in october i bought a pair of Sony MDR-10RBT's headphones but i need the proof of purchase to get my warranty but i dont have the receipt. I dont entirely remember all the details i gave for the purchase but i know the location and i can tell whatever you need. Also i dont have any BestBuy memberships to help with this.

1.       Any phone numbers or other email addresses that your purchases may be under
2.       The exact date of the purchase (within a day or two)
3.       The exact store location where you made the purchase
4.       The total amount of the purchase, including anything else you bought at that time
5.       A general description of those items, if any
6.       How the purchase was paid for

Contract from phones4u but provider being Vodafone, I need a proof of purchase

I have a contract for a samsung galaxy note 3 , i lost it on holiday and my insurance require a proof of purchase email copy of my contract. I cannot get one from vodafone as it doesnt include all the information such as ime number etc. Is there any way of getting it through you . Please contact me as soon as possible.

How do I get proof of purchase which has the IMEI number for my phone?

For my insurance I will need to supply a proof of purchase that includes the IMEI number on it.
I ordered my iphone online from the UK Apple store and the invoice does not have the IMEI number on it.
Any ideas on how I can get some proof of purchase with the IMEI number on it?

What would an insurance company need the iMEi number for ?
It has nothing to do with them.
If the phone has been lost/stolen then sure your mobile operator needs to know so they can block it but not your insurance company.
By the way its recorded with in your computer Itunes backup if you want to find it.
For security reasons Apple would never show an iMEi number on a receipt thats likely disgarded.
It is however on the box on a sticker underneath.
