Maintenance order object link

Hi  , How to get Maintenance order as one of the object links for  a document type.
Regards,
Edited by: Srinivas Narayana Gowda on Mar 14, 2011 5:07 PM

Hey Srinivas,
Why should you connect a document to Maintenance order? If you allocate a notification to the order then you have as standard possibility to connect the document to the notification.

  • Services for Object in Maintenance order can not link

    Hello,
"Services for object" in Maintenance Order can not link to share point.
Linking documents from the C drive or Global drive is successful but if SHAREPOINT is used, it fails
When trying to link to a Word document on our Sharepoint... It fails... when I'm in an order... it gives me an error... (displayed on the attached Word file...) and when I'm working within a document... (CVN02) it merely links to my C:\ drive which won't work...
We need to link to our "master" Sharepoint (web based) documents.
    Please suggest the solution.
    Thanks

    Anil,
Couldn't you add the web address as the attachment?

  • Create Maintenance Order for Object Link

how can I create a notification or order through an object link?
it doesn't work here. it doesn't use object link number in order.

    Greetings Daniel,
It's not possible to create a Notification or Order for the Object link - unless you create a technical object for the object link itself, which is entirely possible in CN04 / CN07 (for example, a cable connects 2 circuits - create 3 FLs and 1 Object Link, assign the cable FL as the link itself)

    Hi,
i refer page no 18 of SAP book Object Networking (CS-BD/PM-EQM-ON) SAP AG Release 4.6C,
To select a particular link from the list, (IN18)select the object link and choose one of the following options:
Goto --> Change/Display --> link, You reach the object link data screen.
Goto -->Create notification  --> Notification type
You reach the screen where you can create a maintenance notification for the link. If a link object is entered for the selected link, the system automatically uses it as a reference object for the notification.
    Goto --> Create order
You reach the screen where you can create a maintenance order for the link. If a link the system automatically uses it as a
    reference object for the order.

  • Origin Object Type for Plant Maintenance Orders in Profit Center Accounting

    Hi,
I want to make a selection for plant maintenance orders in transaction KE5Z, report for line items in Profit Center Accounting. When checking possible input options for the selection field <b></b>Origing Object Type<b></b> the system shows value 15 for Maintenance Orders. However I discovered in our system the maintenance orders are reported as Origing Object Type 03, which is Overhead Orders according to the selection list. So I cannot distinguish between overhead orders and maintenance orders in this report.
What is the cause our maintenance orders are assigned to Origin Object Type 03 in stead of 15 and what is the customizing transaction to correct this ?

Looks like, this is no longer supported. Refer to note 168004 and  102434.
    Cause and prerequisites
These functions were not programmed to meet the above requirements.
As of Release 4.0, the object type is transferred directly.
    Solution
Once you have implemented the advance correction. the origin object type 'Overhead cost order' (03) is assigned irrespective of what is the SCOPE for orders.
As a result of implementing this note or as of Release 4.6B, the order category distinguishes between overhead cost orders and production orders in the origin object type. In this case, the following origin object types result (as described above in 1.):
    Order category 04 to 10, 40 => 04 (production order)
All other order categories => 03 (overhead cost order)
The logic that the origin object type was set depending on the object class (as described above in 2.) is no longer supported. The object class can be evaluated separately in Reporting. -
The corrections of this note refer in Release 4.0B to the corrections from Note 102434.

  • DMS Object Link at Maintenence Order and Service order level

    Hi SAP Gurus,
We had a requirement for maintaining DMS Object at Service order and maintenence order level, as Standard DMS does not provide any Standard Object link at Order level, we went for development and following the Standard procedure i could bring the Order Tab in CV01N Object Links, and also i could search the relavent maintenence order and maintain documents relevant to it,
But the biggest problem now is i could not create DIR from the Maintenence or service order screen IW31, and the document i have placed at the order is not visible in the order screen at all,
i know it is some sort of enhancement in the Order screen to allow DMS Documents to appear in the Order screen to provide this funtionality.
let me pls know what exactly has to be done, as there is no config at the order level to get the DMS Screen, as DMS is not a standard object at the order level.
one approch as suggested is modifiying the Order screen or using Screen Exit Enhancement for Order but not sure which one to use or how to move ahead,
    Thanks n Regards
    Priya S

    Dear Christoph Hopf
    Many Thanks for your answer,
i went through the said SAP Note, but it only speaks about the notifications level, where SAP itself has provided the standard DMS Object links, and iam in latest ECC-6 version where this note  is taken care of i think,
iam looking for creating DMS Document (DIR) from the maintenence Order IW31 transaction screen, and have developed new Object link for Maintenence order,
but the main problem is, iam not able to create DIR from the IW31 Screen directly as Maintennce order is not a standard SAP Object,
please let me know how to get the list of documents that i have attached to a maintenence order to appear in the IW32 maintenence order screen, and also we need to create the documents (DIR) directly from IW31 / 32 screens.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Object link in PM Maintainence order

    Hi Friends,
We want to add the DMS to PM Maintainence order in Transaction IW31 / IW32.
In that transaction there is no tab for DMS document attachment. When I see in DC10 that object is not defined for that doc. type. Can we take AFKO as object. What will be screen no.
When I go for new entries I couldn't find AFKO object. But I found the same in TCLO table.
If I need to create new objects, module pools SAPLCV130 and SAPLCV140  and function module OBJECT_CHECK_XXXX (XXXX = object name).
This way I can able to attach documents.
For bringing the DMS screen in PM Maintainence order, what needs to be done.
    Regards,
    Sai Krishna

    Hi Sai,
As you know SAP DMS standard functionality is not supporting for the object PM Maintenance Order.
Equipement master and functionallocation it supports. Now if you want to add this as object, Check in SE80 screen exits where there is no screen for the said object.
You need to do z-development for the same with help of abap programer. Then you will be able to see PM maintenace order as well as you need to bring the DMS screen with required fileds in Maintenance order screen.
I hope this will resolve the query.

  • Object Link to Customer Service Order

I have setup the object link in DMS and was able to insert the Customer Service Order to a Document Number. However, I do not see the Document Number when I view a Customer Service Oder. What is the correct path to view the Document Number from a Customer Service Order?

    Hi Christoph,
I have already maintained the screens for object link (AFKO). I created a new screen as well and therefore I was able to assign the Customer Service Order in transaction (CV01N/CV02N).
However, when I go to the Customer Service Order (IW32 / IW33), I wasn't able to see the Doc Info Rec number.

  • ABAP OO sales order object - how to attach link to VA03

I'm trying to build workflow using ABAP Objects instead of BOR. I created custom object for sales order according to blog "Getting started with ABAP OO for Workflow using the IF_WORKFLOW interface". It works correctly in my workflow but I would like to attach link to "browse sales order" (VA03) to workflow step. When using BOR I can attach link my binding BOR objest to AdhocObjest step container element. The same way does not work for ABAP OO object. The error message is "The object categories 'CL' (source) and 'BO' (target) are not compatible".
Is there any way to add this link to attachments when sales order object is OO not BOR?

At least make sure that you have a default method 'browse' in your class. I mean that make a method for "displaying" or "browsing" or whatever you want to happen when you click the object, and make it default. OR actually if I remember correctly there is a default method existing already, but put your code to there.
    Also try this:
-Create a container element of type 'sales order' into your task
-Bind the sales order object from workflow to the the task

  • Option 'Maintenance Order' missing in 'Allowed Object Types' tab in IMG of User status Profiles

    Dear All
I have created a User Profile using T-Code OIBS.
Now I want to assign that User Profile to Maintenance Order. But in the 'Allowed Object Types' tab, the option "Maintenance Order" is missing due to which I am unable to assign it to Maintenance Order.
Could anyone tell how to add the option "Maintenance Order" in 'Object Types'.
    Thanks in advance.
    BK

    Hi Peter
    Thanks for your help.
I just found that in t-code BS13, the object categories ORI and ORH exist but 'No Status Profile' check is marked against them. That is the reason why the system is not showing the 'Maintenance Order' as an option in Allowed Object Types.
    Thanks a lot !

  • Budget Process (Linked the maintenance Order into Internal Order) in EAM

    Dear Experts,
Scenario for Repair & Maintenance with only MM & FICO module live w.e.f. 2007 (PM not live)
Process Managed thru Internal Order (Order Type: RPMT)
Budget managed through Investment Management (IM); Budget is directly entered against the IO using transaction IM52
Scenario for Repair & Maintenance with only MM, FICO & PM module live (PM went live in 2010)
It was proposed to assign budget against each Maintenance Order.  Since the number of maintenance orders being used is very high, it was decided to link the MO & IO so that budget will be assigned to the IO and when the MO is settled against the IO, the budget in IO can be deducted accordingly. The proposed process to assign budget in Internal Order against each Maintenance Order are given below-:
1.)     In EAM process one can plan/procure material and External Services only when the Maintenance Order is created & released but practically it has to be planned long before any Maintenance Activity (Maintenance Order to be linked with the estimate so that PO can be created against the estimate).
2.)     The no. of Maintenance Order generated in EAM Module is very large as Maintenance order is created for almost each and every maintenance activity. It is cumbersome to allocate the budget to each and every maintenance order. There should be a single estimate for maintenance activity (as in MM module) and that should be linked to maintenance order so that the actual cost of Indent/Service Entry Sheet can be deducted automatically from the estimate (Maintenance Order is to be linked with estimate).
3.)      While doing return Indent the cost of return material is not being added to the maintenance order automatically (Maintenance Order is to be linked with estimate).
4.)      If Material & External Services not planned in the maintenance order (estimate), the user must be able to do that through Internal Order (estimate), hence the Internal Order must be link to the Maintenance Order. They should able to record the planned & actual cost in the maintenance Order.
    Process followed:
1.) Created Internal Order in KO01 for Repair & Maintenance Order Type
Assigned budget to Internal Order thru IM52
2.) Created PM order and assigned Internal order against Settlement Order in tab
u2018Locationu2019 and in Settlement Rule with 100%. In this Section attach the Internal
         Order with selection type u2018ORDu2019.
3.) Released both orders and issue the Material for particular Operation and then
determine the Cost for material .After that performed MIGO for consumption of
         materials.
4.) Settled the PM order in KO88.
         Settlement process was successfully saved.
    Problem faced:
After posting the goods movement (against each Maintenance Order) and settlement of the maintenance order against IO, we still find the budget assigned to the IO is not consumed/deducted.
    1. Actual cost of maintenance is not reflected in the internal order
immediately. We have to run cost settlement (t-code KO88) for the
maintenance order each time the actual cost is incurred in the maintenance order.
    2. Also in the case of return indent, the value of returned material is not directly
added to the available budget of internal order.
    3. When the material is issued from store through the reservation generated by
maintenance order, system does not check for budget in the internal
order/maintenance order while issuing material from the store.
    4.  It must not be allowed to create reservation from the internal order of order type
         RPMT.
    5.  In case of external service in the maintenance order, the unit of
measure in the requisition is set to u201CD (days)u201D by default. System does not allow
changing the unit of measure in the requisition (it should allow to change the unit
of measure or set the unit of measure u201CJOBu201D).
6.) When the material is issued from  the store through reservation generated  in
maintenance order, system does not check for budget in Internal Order
(estimate)/Maintenance Order while issuing material from store.
    Thanks & Regards
    Deepak Soni

    Hi,
    1. Actual cost of maintenance is not reflected in the internal order
immediately. We have to run cost settlement (t-code KO88) for the
maintenance order each time the actual cost is incurred in the maintenance order.
As per the standard system budgeting is done against the actual cost only. And until you settle your order the actual cost from
maint order are not getting transfered to IO. Once they are transfered system is checking for the budget.
    2. Also in the case of return indent, the value of returned material is not directly added to the available budget of internal order.
This is similar to first point, when you return goods there will be negative cost on the order, this has to be settled until that system will not compare the IO budget with maintenance order actual cost.
    3. When the material is issued from store through the reservation generated by maintenance order, system does not check for budget in the internal order/maintenance order while issuing material from the store.
The budget you have assigned is at IO, how can system will check the budget while issueing goods for maintenance order. We may have to develop or use some user exit over here. Which will trigger checking of budget from the settlement receiver IO for that maintenance order.
I think you may have to go for development. These are my observations from my experience.

    NNR

  • DMS: Object Links for Work Order

    Hello All,
I would like to attach and checkin originals to a work order thru CV01N/CV02N transaction. But, there is no specific tab for work oder. How do I acheive this?
what configuaration and development has to be done?
Any kind of help is highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Chandra

    Hi,
If you need only a tab to be seen in the CV01N/CV02N Tcodes, then there is a config settings,
Document Mangement--> Control Data->Define Document Types (under that select your document type to which this attachment is required) > Define object links> select the production order (PORDER---Object & Screen # 0251)
then you can see the production order tab in the DIR,
    OR
As per my understanding of your requirement is:
When you attach a Original in DIR then it should be visible in the Production order also.
To achieve this you need to build a relation b/w Material Master & DIR (particular document type), so when a order is created then DIR with original will also get attached automatically so that you view, or through EWB also it can viewed & edited.
    Hope i have understand correctly.

  • Reference Object Screen For Vehicle in Maintenance Order

    SAP Gurus,
How could I display the reference object screen for vehicle specific data (O150) in my Maintenance Order. I have been able to display it in Maintenance Notification but how could the fields plate number etc defined in reference object screen for Fleet objects be displayed in Order.
    Regards,
    Muhammad Usman Kahoot

    Muhammad Usman Kahoot,
When you create the Order from the notification, there shouldn't be a problem with the reference object screen, you should be able to see the Fleet object reference field, even if the screen reference object type for the order type is set to blank in config.
If you are creating a order directly using transaction IW31,Make sure to assign the Equipment only reference object screen (0150) to the order type using transaction OIOA.This will bring in the fleet reference object field defined as well.

  • Object RESB within Critical Area - creating Maintenance Order

    Hi All,
We are getting warning message while creating Maintenance Order. It says " Object RESB within Critical Area". After checking we found that 90% of the number range for reservation documents have been consumed and it is maintained in settings that the warning will come up when number range enters last 10%.
we have changed this setting to 5% but still the issue is not resolved. We are still facing the same warning message.
    Kindly guide.
    Regards
    DM

    DM,
This maybe due to the buffering of the number range numbers on the application servers.once these numbers are exhausted and new  block of numbers are picked up  from the database server this should go off.  Ideally you may want to adjust to a new  number range so that this warning message doesn't irritate the end users.

  • How is the object link populate into work order - IW31

    Hello,
I am new in PM and am in the process of trying to picking up the concept.
    Question:
When I create a maintenance order (IW31), how are all the relevant data being pull out and populate into the work order?
    For example,
The maintenance plan includes functional area and equipment object, material objects, and task list object.
Next, you have the equipment master, which also includes the task list, and functional location.
Finally, you have the task list which includes the Maintenance BOM component.
Hence, when I create the PM order via IW31, how are all those object information pull out and import into the order? What is the sequence? I am confused on this.
    Thanks
    Daniel

    Daniel,
When the work order is created from the maintenance plan it copies the maintenance item data into the order e.g. Floc, Equipment, Order Type, Main Work Centre, Priority, etc.
The operations for the order are determined from the task list assigned to the maintenance item dependent upon the rule governed by the maintenance plan type (performance, strategy, etc).
