Making an exchange at an AT&T store

Has anyone exchanged their iphone at an AT&T store? I have been having some issues with my iPhone, and want to exchange it for another one, but the closest Apple store to me is 3 hours away. I got it at my local AT&T kiosk in the mall, so I should be able to exchange it there right? Anyone?

A returb gets an entirely new case which likely includes a new battery. All internal components are checked and tested and replaced if needed.
A returb is probably more closely inspected and tested than a new iPhone before leaving the factory.
Without asking or checking the serial number, there is no way to tell any difference between the two and a returb includes the same warranty as the original that was exchanged.
If an exchange occurs during the 30 day return period window, more than likely an exchange under warranty will be a new iPhone, but since you are unable to tell any difference and the warranty remains in place for the exchange, it shouldn't make any difference unless you have a returb phobia. If so, don't ask and don't go to any trouble to find out. If you must ask or go to any trouble to find out, Apple has done their job since you can't tell the difference otherwise.

    You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
    They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

    No.  You can't exchange a foriegn iPhone for a U.S. iPhone.  You'll have to get it back to China to exchange it, and then only if you have AppleCare+.  Physical damage isn't covered under warranty... and IIRC, you can't get APP+ in China.

    If you buy one with a bad screen (or other problems) at Target or Best Buy or some other store, are you able to exchange it at an Apple Store? The Target and Best Buy near me aren't aware of any issues with the Touch so I thought they may not take it back if I opened it already.

    First off, Walmart and Target will take it back regardless of the reason as long as you have a reciept, it's within the return period (90 days for Target) and EVERYTHING (nothing can be missing at all) is in the box. I returned a 3 week old 8gb to Target recently without any problems.
    Apple will look at it for service issues either at the store or via the send it in process through the online service but they won't just automatically replace it with a new one. My 16gb is currently being diagnosed by the service department for dead pixels and I bought off of Ebay new in the box. They never even asked where I bought it.

    So I have had a family plan with sprint for over 10 years now, have 5 lines and alway ls do an upgrade when it's up.
    This time one of my line is up for an upgrade so went from my iPhone 5 to the Samsung S5. Great phone lots of features to get used to but phone i originally purchase at location 472 in Union nj, was faulty as I seem to not be able to hear people on the other side of the phone. 
    Bought the phone on July 6th, did the software updates needed one I got home and went to work like normal,  threw out the day got onto using my phone which seem of cause I could barely hear them and they could barely hear me, so went to the store in Rockaway nj to exchange it or return it if need be on July 12th.
    Only to find out that best buy doesn't honor their written return policy.
    Was turned away dismiss that the phone had any issues,  the call volume was fine and issue was the life proof case I bought with it, even after we tested without the case still they found the phone to be working fine volume call level. They would do a swap fora new unit but if I still had the same issue with the new one they wouldn't refund the phone, even thoughi was with in the 14 day return period.
    Have bought stuff from best buy for years now, but no more. 
    Not looking to buy into headaches,  I want to spend my money on stuff where there is peace of mind, knowing if something is wrong and with in return or warranty guidelines I will be taken care off. 
    Manager on duty have me a online support number that dreams with online order as to deal with customer issues.
    This place is a joke,  they mistreat clients as they know nothing Will happen and they are giving out wrong information,  called that number and they claim they don't have a corporate office or customer relation number, or a regional office number.  
    Last time I ever set foot in one your stores or buy stuff from your company at all,  wasted an hour explaining the issue at store level with no results turning me away toa different store cause I didn't buy the phone there,  wonder is I was to buy something there would they also tell me to go buy it at another site. 
    Wasted another hour on phone that was given by employee at the store to find out they couldn't do anything cause they deal with online orders only, answer I got was go to place where you bought it from, I bought it at best buy, should be able to return it at any best buy, even the moon if they had one there and that wad the closest to me.

    First of all, why did you say yes to Nero Back up before researching what it does with files already on the HDD? When I install Nero, the Back Up is the first thing I disable, it is a nagging pain, there are much better backup programs available. There are several file recovery programs out there to recover deleted files, that is, if that is what happened. Also, if you haven't overwritten the files, so you should be able to find them.

    Yes, it can be exchanged under warranty ( as any iphone can be weather purchased form Apple or AT&T or Best Buy). Apple handles repairs, exchanges of iphones in the U.S.

    From your description, I recommend you check if this problematic user is existed in ADUC. What's more, I recommend you create a same email account in your Exchange server and check if there is any error.

    I would like to implement the following functionality:
    a) Within a function module in R/3 I want to call a remote function module in another system. I would pass some data to the remote function and the other system would return a pdf document with the call.
    b) From a remote system I would like to send a pdf document to R/3 via an IDoc.
    In both scenarios I would like to store the pdf within the R/3 system afterwards.
    My questions:
    How do I transfer binary data such as pdf documents via RFC and IDocs?
    How do I store these documents in R/3? Is there some standard functionality available for this kind of document management?
    Does anyone know any examples on how to implement these two tasks?

    you can pass the binary string thru RFC with export/import parameter of type string or xstring.

    you can store it in SAPs BDS - business document services (txn OAOR)
    alternatively you can also store it in Z table.

    No, you do not have to. 
    There are several online music download stores that will sell you the "new song" that you want to buy.  At all of them (except for the iTunes Store) you do not need any software except your normal browser.
    An example is Amazon MP3.
    You can purchase MP3s from any online source and add them to your iTunes library.

  • Making knuckle cracking noises after repair, Apple Store said it's "normal"

    I sent my MacBook Air mid 2011, the first time, to an Apple Store because it failed Verify Disk and was unable to re-install OS X (Repair No.: R88048332). When I got it back and found strange knuckle cracking noises whenever I held it and moved around.  I further found a few screws on the lower case were not tightened. And with a little pressure with my thumb and pointer finger, I could see the lower case near the touch pad went closer to the upper case.  When I held the MBA with my right hand near the hinge and the power on key, I could hear clearly multiple knuckle cracking noises.  I went back to the Apple Store, and the technician said it was normal because it's re-opened after factory assembly.  Eventually they re-screwed the lower case but no improvement was made.
    Has the case been bended or damaged?  It's still under AppleCare so what can I do?

    Yes, it's an Apple Store in Sydney, Australia. 
    I brought the MBA to another Apple Store and a guy there found the loudspeaker on the left side could not be aligned properly and there were other things inside to be re-aligned.  He also pointed out a dented corner on the keyboard side upper-left corner (not the lower side) and a few punched edges near the ports on both side and a number of scratch marks on the top (Apple Logo) and the bottom.  They were all new and not found when I took the MBA to the Genius Bar two days ago.  (Before giving the MBA to Apple Store, there was no scratches or damage as inspected on the spot.)
    I thought my MBA had been dropped to a hardground at the first repair service in the Apple Store. I could not think of anything otherwise.
    b.t.w. It was initially a non-recoverable Verify Disk problem as reported by the Disk Utility 10.8.3 and the SSD could not re-install OS X either. That's the reason of my first visit to Apple Store.  When I took it back, I found that I could not make the Recovery Disk USB and by Option restart, I found no Recovery Volume. That's why I took the MBA back to the Apple Store and asked them to re-install OS X properly.  Over there, I also showed them the click and crack noise.  The tecnician said he was very sure that my Time Machine backup was corrupted and thus during the restoration, the corrupted TM backup erased the Recovery Volume!  (I don't believe it.) I took out the TM backup external HDD and immediately inspected it with Disk Utility, there was no problem.  And later I restored the same TM backup to the MBA with no problem, and the Recovery Volume was there.  I don't know why Apple Store opened the MBA's case when it was only an OS issue.  and I cannot understand why a software issue will make my MBA's alumnium case clicks and cracks forever with dents and scratches everywhere!

  • Faulty iphone but having exchange problems

    I live in N Cyprus and have a  dead iPhone 5s. Apple support from Turkey contacted me and after running various tests, they concluded it's a hardware problem (faulty phone). I've been told to take the phone in to an apple store for it to be exchanged. My nearest apple store is Turkey and I've been trying to get an appointment with the Genius Bar for days and it's impossible. There are no slots Available. I can't contact apple support because you cannot phone their contact numbers  from a different country. ( there is no contact no for N Cyprus and my technical support has run out ie. apple will not contact me again).
    i want  to make a written complaint to apple, but cannot find anywhere on their website where I can put something into writing. You
    can complain about online support and other things but NOTHING about lack of support for exchanging a faulty phone. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Your failure to answer a simple question is making it hard for us to help you.
    Again. Where (country/name of store) did you purchase the iPhone? As the iPhone is NOT legitimately available in Cyprus (that is why there are no iPhone support options for Cyprus), you must have gotten it from another country (Turkey?). And, from what I understand, it is not available carrier unlocked in Turkey, which you need for use in Cyprus. Assuming it is Turkey, you MUST take it back to Turkey/country of origin for service. The iPhone warranty is not and has never been international, contrary to what you may believe. In any case this document indicates that iPhone service is handled by the carriers in Turkey and not Apple. So I have no idea who you are talking to in Turkey.

    As I see it, from what limited information you have given us, you have only one option which is to send it to a friend in Turkey, who will then take it physically to the Apple store (after trying to get an appointment) or making the trip to see if they can get it serviced/exchanged without an appointment.

    I bought a MB two days ago, and apple released a refreshed version of the model today. Will I still have to pay the 10% fee for exchanging it, even though they have changed the specs in the last 2 days!!! People who ordered online, their orders were delayed to avoid such a clash.     I too purchased a MB on Friday when Leopard was released. I'm sure I wasn't the only one holding out until that date as well. Now less than a week later they want a 10% restocking fee to exchange at my local apple stores. I see they have a price protection policy but I don't assume that applies to hardware revisions, but really this isn't the same. I see now they have referbs listed, which are probably the pile of old MB they have left over, at substantial savings. Anyone have any luck with this?
