  • Hazardous Materials Management in SAP EHSM

We are considering the EHSM Component extension for managing Hazardous Material processes.  According to the available documentation,  EHSM risks assessment looks promising for this purpose.  Specifically,  we are interested in tracking information about hazard products and waste material inventoried at various company locations. The information includes chemical data , hazards and amounts. Some of the products and waste products may have material numbers  and stored in ECC Plant and Storage locations( ie managed in MM)
Can we easily associate an ECC  material number with an EHSM chemical or agent?
Can we easily pull reports of Chemical/Agent/ ECC Material Amounts by EHSM Location.
To what extent can we integrate EHSM Locations with MM Plants and Storage Locations/Inventory levels
Does BW provide content allowing us to merge chemical/agent/ ECC  material/ ECC material inventory levels and goods movements on one report?
Thanks in advance for your reply.
    David

    H David,
I think, i can contribute few points here, may be useful for you.
What type of industry is this? is this EU or USA client, because some standard reports are available for US in ehs.
    Answers your question:
    1. Yes
    2. I am not sure when you say, EHSM location, but yes if you are maintaining (any of these on ECC work area, plant, storage location).
3&4, i will try to get back on this.

    Hello All,
Appreciate if you could provide any pointers. I think this either mite be related to the code link property of the iview or the PCD path of pages/roles which we do in CRM SPRO.

SAP MDM is master data management server. as in our SAP R/3 Customer Master, Vendor Master, Material Master, Etc.  These Master Data we are maintained in conventional way means individual SAP R/3 and non-SAP itself.
However, these Master Data can store in single point source of truth and then distribute to all after consolidating the master record data. First, we will get the all Master Data (ex. Customer, Material, Etc) from Different sources (ex. SAP or non-SAP or DB) using the scenario
SAPR/3---> XI--> MDM (Outbound to SAP R/3 or Inbound to MDM)
    Second,
Then we will do the all the necessary things in MDM.
Third, we will syndicate/ distribute the consolidated Master Data to all the Systems using this scenario
MDM-> XI-> SAPR/3 (Outbound to MDM or Inbound to SAP R/3)
what is acheived out here is data uniqueness acorss the system. this is one real world scenario

  • What is the best way to find and apply the samples in the sap library

I am a fresh man in the process of learning sap .
Mainly aim at the MM and SD model .
They all say that the best way to accomplish the task is to follow the sap on-line help.
because i don`t know the struts of the library , so to find what i need in the library becomes impossible for me as the library includes a lot of files .
so please some one help me to direct the struts of the library and teach me the way how to find what i want ?
    thanks

    Hi,
This forum is for BPX. Post Solution related quries in SAP Solution Forums.
You can access MM and SD help at:
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_02/helpdata/en/80/ea89395eb58c4f9d0c3e837cf0909d/frameset.htm under Logistics
or http://help.sap.com/ -> SAP ERP -> Choose Release (for example SAP enhancement package 2 for SAP ERP 6.0) -> SAP ERP Central Compoennt (MM and SD under Logistics)
From Materials Management Link you can navigate further to Purchasing, Inventory Management etc. From Sales and Distribution you can naviate further: Sales, Billing etc.
For example to see help regarding Purchase Orders:
You would first expand Logistics and choose Materials Management in Help Link for ERP Central Component. Here, choose Purchasing Node which will take you Purchasing Help screen -> Click and Purchase Orders Node and Expand the same for more information regarding Purchase Orders.
You should be comfortable with SAP help link.

    Hi,
Some of the companies are having a practice of paying payables with the rounding off rules. This rounding of in India could be from Rs.0.01 to Rs.10.00. For examble, there is a payable amount of Rs.125125.25 this can be rounded off to Rs.125125.00 or Rs.125130.00 while making payment. The balance amount should hit the rounding off difference account.
The same things is applicable for receivables also.
Over/under payment GL can be configured by using T Code OBXL
There is an another use, for details see the below link,
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/01/a9b9a6455711d182b40000e829fbfe/frameset.htm
There may be some more reason where you need to do this configuration,
    Disc. difference
    Incorrect cash discount rate
    To be paid without deduction
Credit memo without backdated cash disct
    Cash discount period exceeded
    Reduction without doc.number allocation
    Incomplete payment advice note
    Payment amount is different
    Debit reduced not paid
    Debit reduced not paid
    Reduced twice
    Paid not reduced
    Damaged goods - disputed
    Goods damaged during transport
Quant.delivered not same as order quant.
    Freight charges not paid
    Miscellaneous deductions
    Price variances - disputed
    Partial payment
    Returns
    Residual item creation
    Trade Promotion
    Payment differences on debit side
    Hope it clears your doubt.

  • SAP Library Link

Can someone Plz provide me the link for SAP Library so that i can install it on my PC.

    Chris,
I assume you are talking about ERP library. You can view the SAP ERP Library at
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/4a/11300128bd6278e10000000a42189e/frameset.htm
I suppose you could download from this site.  It would, however, be a pretty tedious process.  On my PC, the installation is 2.8 Gigabytes with 389,000 files and 184,000 folders (I prefer the HTML version versus the CHM version).  I think the software would be out of support before you finished the download process.
Instead, you can install the entire package on your PC.  Cheapest way is if your company already has a licensed copy.  Contained in the original installation materials is the DVD that contains the Library.  For ECC6.0 Service Pack 19, the DVD number is 50105433.  In general, there are many such DVDs, each of which supports an existing revision/version of the software. Speak to the person who has the installation materials for your company (usually someone in Basis will know).
If your company has rights to the software, you also can download for free. You will need a userid (the so-called "S number" from SAP service marketplace) which can be assigned by your local company's SAP Service Marketplace superuser.  Again, usually a Basis person in your company. Once you have the S number, log into http://service.sap.com/swdc > Installation and upgrades > Search for installations and upgrades > enter the DVD number you seek.  If you have rights to download, you can get the parts you need, usually as compressed Files which can be downloaded and then installed.
If your company does not have rights to the software, you can also purchase the DVD, which can then be installed on a PC.  Go to   [SAP shop|https://pgwshop.sap-ag.de/scripts/wgate/ww2075cc6600/flN0YXRlPTEyNjA4LjAwMS4wMi4wNA==?okcode=WCLG&target=_top&forcetarget=yes]  On the right menu Documentation > ERP > ERP 2004/2005

  • Issue of Materials Management staff entering double PO#, PR# for same Invoice

    Hi,
Anyone had encountered the Materials Management Dept staff entering double PO numbers and PR numbers for the same invoice number?? The double PO and PR numbers are all different number but it causes double counting problem..
Anyone encounter it and come up with any settings to the SAP to warn the data entry staff on any existing PO/PR numbers that already exists for the invoices of the same number? Or there is any settings that can be done to stop the data entry from entering two different PO/PR numbers for the same invoice number???
    Please kindly help. Thanks!!!
    Regards,
    Richard

    Hello PKW
You are right about the default PO type for ME21N or ME21.
But there is some hope with EXIT_RV54POCR_006 (Function Module)  via enhancement V54U0006. I am not sure if it helps  for PO type or for other header data only.
Please go through the following OSS notes and those mentioned within:
506605 - Info: PO generation when transferring shipment costs
    746691 - INFO: => LE-TRA-FC-SET => purchase order
Let me know if it helped you.

  • Missing Retention node in Material management in SAP SPRO

    Hi All,
In my SAP ERP 6.0 EHP4 system,  Retention node in Material management in SPRO is missing.
I did checked on IDES EHP4 system and its present over there.
Can i know, from where to get this missing node? Do i need to activate any BC Sets?
FYI...We upgraded ECC system with Central Components only while upgrading to EHP4.

    Hi Pankaj,
Thx for reply, i activated as you said, but this is still not solved and i cant see Retention Node..
FYI...In IDES system i can see under Materials management -->Logistics Invoice Verification --> Incoming invoice.
After this activation do i need to do any more steps from Basis team?
