MDGC 6.1 Sales area authorization issue

Hi Gurus,
We are implementing MDGC 6.1 in co-deployment mode.
It seems I need to specify "*" for sales org, division and channel in PFCG for the user to be able to create sales area in CR.
How could I restrict to one specific sales area?

    What is return Vendor?
    As per my undetstanding  , when you are doing returns the sales area determined  automatically from customer master?
    Note-Vendor can also customer  OR Customer also  can be   Vendor , here there is link between these two  ,once  you  assign that  vendor in Customer master general data-Control data - you have field  you can assign that vendor code there, the same with vendor  you can also link customer with Vendor in the same assignment in vendor master data
    May be    this assign is done already for that  customer or vendor plz  check.

  • Authorization to display BP depending of Sales Area

    Hello,
    I want to restrict the visualization of ALL the BP information depending of the user Sales Area.
    For example.
    I have the following Business Partner Role:
    A, B and C
    When BPs are in role A, they only can be viewed by users in the same Sales Area of the BP.
    When BPs are in role B or C, they can be viewed by all users.
    Is there any way to achieve this?

  • Sales Area issue

    Hi All,
    I have creates a sales area 4100/01/01 and material is also available in same sales area.
    Plant is extended in both sales area ( 4100 /01/0  and 4500/01/01)
    When I have tried to create order in (4100/01/01) I am getting a error like 4005/01/10 area is not set up though I am using the are 4100/01/01
    and In material Master division is maintained as 01, also Customer is created in 4100/01/01 area.
    I am not getting from where 10 division is picking?
    can anybody sort out this issue

    I still get a feel that the reference sales orgn config in the below path is not correct. Can you please check it once and if everything is fine can you give me the full error message that you get during order creation.
    SPRO -> SD-> Sales -> Sales document -> Header -> Assign sales area to document types -> Combine sales orgn. Here 4100 should have reference sales orgn 4100.
    SPRO -> SD-> Sales -> Sales document -> Header -> Assign sales area to document types -> Combine division. Here 4100/01 should have reference division 01.

  • Sales area issue in CRM

    Hi,
    We have CRM 5.0 linked with R/3. BPs are maintained with sales area. Suddenly something has gone wrong in the system. When I try to open a BP, I get a message "There are no sales areas for maintenance". And I don't see any sales org in sales org dropdown in "sales area data".
    I checked tables CRMM_BUT_LNK0010 and CRMM_BUT_SET0010. They still hold data.
    Any idea what might have gone wrong?

    I am also getting the same message. I would like to know the solution, but I don't think it is an autorisation issue, since my user is a sap_all, sap_new user.

    I found the solution. I had not maintained the org.structure correctly.

  • Authorization object for Sales area determination

    Hi Experts,
    Im here having service message created with error messages as below:
    1. Enter a sales organization
    2. Enter a distribution channel
    3. Responsible organizational unit (sales) missing
    4. Enter a service organization
    5. Responsible organizational unit (service) missing
    6. Enter the unit of measure
    7. Enter a Currency
    FYI, the Sales area data has been maintained correctly via Tcode BP. And i realize that the SolMan user id having some missing authorization. Because i did tried to add SAP_ALL to the same user id. After that the message created <u>without</u> any errors.
    Thus im suspecting the user id missing some authorization that causing the failed of Sales area data detemination.
    Could you please point me out?

    Actually our requirement is that we need to restrict a user searching documents belonging to him and reporting to him.
    without any authorizations given we are able to search the documents of all users in activty management under activtiy monitor. we would like to block users to view only documents done by him in his sales area.
    can you provide me the details of the authorization object, please.

  • Authorization on BP based on Sales Area Data

    Hi,
    We want to control the authorization on a BP based on its Sales Area data attached to it.
    I have done following steps for this:
    1. create a new authorization object in su21. Class = AAAB, fields  = ACTVT, SALES_ORG
    2. regenerate SAP_ALL
    3. Assign authorization object to BP Transaction (SU22 and SU24), with attribute = check/maintain.
    4. Create a new profile in PFCG, and assign this to a user.
    But this is not working, as the user is still able to see those BP's to whom a different sales area is assigned as mentioned in user profile.
    I did run a trace with ST01 and it shows that this authorization object is never checked during transaction call.
    Could somebody please help.

    When you create your own Authorization object, it needs to be added to the CRM object through Authority –Check statement call at relevant place..
    Class CL_BUPA_USER is used to determine the relationship/authorities for a user on a BUPA Object. Add modifications as described.
    Change the method “can_display_partner” of class “CL_BUPA_USER”.
    Added statement “Authority-Check” at the end.
    Hope it works out.

  • Issue in taxes sales area screen

    Hi,
    i  have written a LSMW to upload the customer master data 4.0 version.  i'm using direct input method. In the taxes sales area screen, we have to enter the tax classification data. suppose there are 10 tax classifications to be entered row by row or one after another. but all the field names contains the same name KNVI-TAXKD.
    and in the direct input structure we have only field for this KNVI-TAXKD.
    when i'm assigning value to this field, i couldn't see the value when i tried to excute in foreground mode..
    how can i transfer the values (from my flat file) to all the rows in the taxes sales area screen
    i guess i need to use loop or transfer_record.. where i should use this, i'm unable to find. Please suggest

  • Issue regarding sales area data in CRM standalone system

    Hi Guys,
    Currently we are working CRM 5.0 portal standalone system. we have defined a division and assigned it to Organization Structure. But when the user tries to assign the sales area in account management the system gives 2 options like
    1.sales organization distribution channel and division
    2.sales organization distribution channel and division(as blank)
    now the user wants only with the combination of sales organization and distribution channel. Is there any way by which the sales araea without division can be deleted. so that it does not appear in Account managemnt sales area .

    I couldn't check on my system at the moment.
    But I just wonder if this has something to do with Dummy division.
    Check that on SPRO (setting for master data org model, there is Dummy Division setting)

    user trying to run a query in and attempt to drill down by customer, he gets customer details but some of the customers are missing...
    Does the authorization granted in BI system based on customers? Is it a security issue?

    Hi,
    Please execute the query with your id(developer id who will be having access to all data) first. Check if you are able to see all the customer data. If you are able to see all the data then the user is restricted with some authorizations. ( usually the authorizations are done on sales organization, company codes, plant..etc.. please check how it is in your project...)
    If you are not able to see all the customer data, then check in the infoprovider on which the query is built and do your analysis.
    Check in the roles assigned to the user.

  • Authorization Issue in WebUI (also ST01 question)

    Hi All,
    we are implementing new CRM 2007 and users will be working with the WebUI mainly in the future. Now here is something strange that we found out:
    When a user logs on to the Web UI and enters some sales transaction trying to add a new material he would use the F4 help to find the right material number. In our case he recieves an authorization error hindering him to display ANY materials (seems to be an authorization issue).
    But there are two strange thigs. When the user logs in to the old SAP GUI and triggers transaction CRMD_ORDER and accesses the very same transaction, trying to add a material and issuing the F4 help to recieve the material number it works! No authorization issues!
    Second strange thing that we discovered while investigating on this issue: The system trace ST01 seems to apparently not be working with WebUI. We can fully trace all authority checks for the latter case (when user logs in to SAP GUI), ST01 does not return ANY checks when being turned on while a user is working on WebUI.
    Any one of you experts out there any suggestions? Any experiences with that kind of traces and WebUI?

    Hi All,
    I seem to have found the reason for both of my questions:
    1. Authorization objects checked in CRM WebUI are not at all the same as the ones checked in the CRM backend, i.e. in the old SAP GUI.
    2. There seems to be a known bug in transaction ST01 due to which no trace protocol at all is shown sometimes if too many authority checks fail. That's why it is apparently wise to run the authorization trace only with a high privileged user e.g. SAP_ALL to make sure the resulting protocol is accurate.

  • Authorization issue question???

    Hello All,
                   For one of the requirement we are in process of copying the SAP_ALL profile into a new custom role and edit all the authorization  ACTVT (activity) field  values  to with "03 - Display ". I had generated the
    newly created role.
    After this If I assign this new role to a user id and go to VA03 it let me to enter the VA03 initial screen and If I select a sales order number and try to view details it is throwing the authorization  error about the sales area "No authorization for displaying sales documents in 1000 10 00"
    Message no. V1514
    Diagnosis
    According to the settings in your user master record you do not have the authorization to execute this function.
    Procedure
    If you need this authorization, contact the person responsible for assigning authorizations.
    Authorization object: V_VBAK_VKO
    I had checked the Auth. object "V_VBAK_VKO" It has those values already assigned.
    What might be the issue?

    Thanks  for your responses.
    I found the problem .. Problem is the role that I had copied had many inactive authorization objects inside it. But the object V_VBAK_VKO is active. I had tested it by creating another role that has only required auth. obj for sales order display and it is working fine.
    I am not sure what is wrong when i blinldly replace the ACTVT field with value "03:- for display functionality for all the auth objects. Only for few objects that are inactive that I can see in the first role that I had seen.
    Any hint??

    I started getting a BDOC error stating "You are not authorized to change data in sales area O 5000022/01"  This is preventing the customer from replication into CRM from R/3.  Any clues on how to address the issue?

    I originally went that route but the BDOC error message give no indication of what account "You" refers too.  Guess I will try and track it down on the R/3 side but I find it surprising that security is that granular since this is a middleware function.  I would think authorization to manage the customer data in R/3 would be enough.  Master Data folks who maintain data in R/3 side all have same role in CRM as well.  Thanks for the lead, I will get back.

  • Error while posting Customer with Multiple sales areas using DEBMAS05.

    Dear experts,
    We are generating IDOCS vis SAP DS for posting Customer master. The message type used is DEBMAS and basic type is DEBMAS05.  we have a requirement to create 1 customer with multiple sales areas. However, we are ending up with a strange error:  "Fill all required fields SAPMF02D 0111 ADDR1_DATA-NAME1". Despite the IDOC going into status 51, the customer gets created and the 1st sales area too. the 2nd sales area however is not created!  The IDOC data definitely contains Name1, otherwise the customer would not have been created in the first place.
    As the error message is related to the Address data, I also explored upon exploring this erorr further on the lines of Central Address management where in the ADRMAS and DEBMAS have to be passed together(IDOC Serialiization).  OSS Note (384462)  provides further details about this. One Important point from the note is: 
    "As you have to specify the logical name of the sending system among other things, SAP is not able to make any default settings in the standard systems. When you use the serialization groups delivered as a standard by SAP, the address objects are imported before the master objects.Thus the sequence address data before master objects must only be adhered to if one of the following points applies to your application:
    Such fields are set as required entry fields that are only provided by the BAS in the Customizing of the customer or vendor master.
    For your customers, contact persons exist to which a private address or a different business address is assigned.".
    This is not the case in our situation, as we do not have required entry fields in customizing that are only provided by the BAS, so the error is all the more confusing and I am not too sure what the cause is.
    If someone have experienced the same issue before and have found a solution to it, kindly help out.

    I have found the cause and solution to this problem.
    This error ”Fill all required fields SAPMF02D 0111 ADDR1_DATA-NAME1” and other similar errors like “Fill all required fields SAPMF02D 0111 ADDR1_DATA-SORT1“ which occurrs during the IDOC posting when there are more than one sales area or company code occurs when the customer number range is set up for Internal numbering. This means, that the number gets generated only at the time of save and upon debugging the IDOC, we found out that after creating the customer and the first sales area/company code record, the segment E1KNA1M is cleared completely! This is the reason, it throws an error which points to a mandatory KNA1 field as missing. (Like NAME1, SORT1 etc.)
    This was resolved by splitting the IDOC into 2.
    The solution is to First post only the KNA1 segment and create the customer.
    In the second step, pass the IDOC with all other segments along with E1KNA1M, but pass only KUNNR in E1KNA1M and the rest of the fields in E1KNA1M as “/”:  you would have got the KUNNR after the first step.
    Important note: This requirement to split the IDOCs does not occur when the customer number is known upfront. (Meaning cases where the customer number is externally generated) I also tested this and created a customer with external numbering and I was able to post more than 1 sales area with the same IDOC. 
    I noticed multiple threads with the same issue, but none of it had a concrete answer. I hope this information will be useful for anyone facing similar problems.
