Missing parts even in unrestricted

how come a batch can't be allocated to the production order, even if there are no current reservations to it. i also checked goods movement, and no other movement has been previously done, except initializing of the batch (561)

Dear,
Couple of check,
1. Batch classification not done of the stock.
2. Other requirements are there.
3. Batch determination not configured completely
4. It should be batch managed
5 It should have stock in the storage location in which you are going to select.
6.For manual selction , one need not have batch search strategy configured.
Please check these points.
Also check Search procedure for batch determination check in OPL8 for your order type and plant- CO00001
Did you maintain batch search procedure in MBC1--standard search strategy ME01-for your plant material and omvement type.261.

  • Missing Part

    Dear All,
    I have an issue.
While creating process order, when i do mat availability check it showing missing part even though enough stock is available for that mat.
Its also shownig the below msg
No production version, could not read formulas
    Message no. 40345
    Diagnosis
When you create a process order, the system requires formulas to determine material component and operation quantities.  This calculation is only possible when you create an order with a production version.
    System Response
If no formulas from material quantity calculation are specified, the system calculates the above quantities proportionally to the order quantity.
    Procedure
Create a process order with a production order.
Plz suggest me how to solve this issue.
    Thanks & regards,

This is not a problem. It's just an information msg which you got during the order Save.
Reason is You are not using the Production Version.
Now why system displays this msg Because in PPPI Material quantity calculation is define in Production
Version. So sysem intimates you that without using Production Version system can not read the Material
Quantity Calculation. This is just an information if you don't want to use the Material Quantity calculation.
So don't worry about this msg.

  • Missing part list is incomplete while creating Production Order and 2 components are not shown in the list.

    Hi Team,
We are facing issue for availability check. During creation of Production order, the missing part list is not complete and it should show componenet A in the Missing part list. Below is the details:
    Production Order quantity: 100 kg
Componenet A required quantity: 100 kg
    MMBE Unrestricted qty: 1000 kg
    MMBE Reserved Quantity: 2000 kg
So as per above figures component A should come as missing part during availability check. But it is not coming as missing part. Please check and give your inputs.

    Hello
The results of availability check should NEVER be compared with MMBE. As already mentioned, transaction CO09 is more appropriate.
Also, this issue has been already discussed on hundreds of threads in the past. See some examples below:
Problem with missing parts list during production order creation
issue in committing material for production order
Material Availibility check in Production orders
    availability check
    order is not released
As it is stated on the The SCN Rules of Engagement you should do some research before opening a thread. Therefore, please use the search tool or even google to search for similar problems before opening a thread.

  • Missing parts for Process orders

    Hi Experts,
We are trying to find out the Transaction to faciltate the Missing parts list for the process order even after the order has been completed having the Status TECO, CLSD. This is to understand whether proper enough materials are consumed for the order or not. Based on that Production incharge can ensure the component consumption is made as per the Process order requirement.
We are trying with CO24, this is showing the missing parts list if order does not contain TECO and CLSD status.
Also we are checking with COOISPI, COID, but could find the correct feature out of them.
Do we need to develop any customized report with the help ABAPers. If yes please guide us the method.
Please help us in acheiving the list of components which are not consumed as per the Process order requirement.
Also guide us to identify the list of materials which are excess consumed for the Process order.
    Thanks in advance..

    Hi Jiaul,
Thank you very much for your reply.
So we need to develop the program to flag the missing parts and its qty even after the Order has the status TECO or CLSD.
Can you please provide logic to develop the Program.
I am thinking to take the inputs from process order required qty Vs withdrwan qty. if the Qty difference is positve, which should come under missing parts. if the difference is still negative means excess qty consumed.
    Waiting for suggestions
    Thanks in advance

  • Prevent creation of production order in case of missing parts

    Hi,
Even in OPJH I have maintained no creation of order in case of missing parts, when i create a production order from planned order and I know the Bom components are not avialable in stock then also system allows to create. Pls guide on how to pevent creation of order.
    Regards.

    Dear,
If my understanding is correct then the settings in OPJK for business function 1 - availability check during order creation even if
the value is set as 3 for collective conversion, this works during partial conversion of planned order into production/process
order or during collective conversion of planned orders into production orders.
But however the setting in OPJK for business functionality 2 - during order release checks and if
there are any missing parts means the order cant be released for the value 3 set for release material.
    Just check this link also,

  • Problem of Missing parts during the Process Order release

    Hi
For a Make to Order strategy, I have run MRP for a sales order which resulted in planned order for the material. But when I try to convert the Planned Order to Process Order, I am getting error Parts are missing during the availabilty check even though the components are available in the stock.
But when I create a Process Order manually, I am not facing the problem of missing parts as stock for components are available in stock.
Please advice why I am facing the problem with Planned Orders which are created via MRP.
    Regards
    Brijesh

    Dear all,
If we set the Individual requirement (1) in MRP4 view of the material master for the component, the system will not consider the plant stock and it will give the message like Parts are missing during the Process Order process even though the plant stock is exists for the component.
So I would like to where in customization you define this?
--> To not consider the plant stock if individual req is set (1)
--> To consider the plant stock if collective req is set (2)
    Kindly advice,

  • Missing Parts in Process Order

    Hi Gurus,
I was created process order, in that some materials are shortage, System showing what are the missing parts.
it is also not allowing to release.
But, it is allowing to save without release.
My problem is System should not allow to save, if there is missing parts.
    How to restrict this.
Can anybody help me in this.

    Hi Anand,
Check the customization of "scope of check" in the availability check section. Availability check may take into consideration not only unrestricted stock.
    Transaction OPJJ.
Pay attention to the resolution of this definition - checking group from material master and checking rule from your activity.
    Thanks and reagards

  • Missing part in process order

    Dear ALL ,
I ahve one issue ....in process order , when I check material availaility , its showing missing part list even though there is sufficinet stock , at MMBE its showing resarvation . For this I have checked folloing possibilities
    1) I did Techo to all Process order which are open .
    2) material master record for any block .
but still my prolem is not solved .
    Please help me .

    Dear
    Couple checks  for you
1.Where this stocks are appearing in MMBE ? Block stock ?? Sales Order Stock ? Stock in Transit etc ..please review once again
2.Check wether any Sales Order /STO or any special stock already reserved this items
3.Check you availability check control key assinged in MRP view in details OMJJ.
4.If all those stpes are correctly in place , please look into SAP Note 699407 : ATP shows missing parts eventhough stock is available.
Hope this will address the issue

  • Missing Parts check one level....can you confirm

Simple scenario.  I have a 3 level BOM.
Top level Item Mat A (make to order 82) > Mat X (make to stock strategy 40) > Component 1 (purchased).
Stock: There is only stock for the Component 1
When I create an order for Mat A I get a missing part for Mat X.  However, the committed date is giving me the Total replenishment lead time of my Mat X and not considering just the lead time to make Mat X even though we have Component 1 in stock. So my problem is that the ATP check is not considering that we have Component 1 in stock and should just give me a committed date for the in production time of Mat X.
Now I do understand that SAP PP may only look at the Zero stock for my Mat X when I create an Order for Mat A (Top level) - if this is why then fine but I wanted to check I am not missing something.
Moreover, if you make Mat X a collective (52) then it will see the stock for the component and give a reduced commitment date but my client does not want a collective order as they want to group the Make to stock items.
Yes if there was a planned order for Mat X then it would consider it.
My point is that am I right that pure ATP missing part will only consider one level in my example ?
    any help buddies ?

    007,
I don't know if I would call it a weakness.  It is what it is.  Its like spending the money for a Hyundai, and expecting the features of a Mercedes.  Not gonna happen.
The client gets as much as he is willing to pay for.  If he wants a multilevel availability check, then he must pay for the additional software that will perform this task (APO or third party), or he should commission a consulting company to write a custom application that performs this task within ERP.
All such decisions boil down to the client's willingness to spend money and resources.  Its nothing to get frustrated about.  After all, he is the one that made the decision to buy SAP ERP, not you.  If he is unhappy, he can contact Walldorf.

  • Make-to-order production (assembly processing) - Missing Parts

    Hi Guys
During creating an assembly order, availability check comes up with missing parts.
Can someone tell me how to proceed from here? I checked the material master fro the missing part and in MRP2, procrement type = x.
What are my options, can i save this order even though i have missing parts? How do i carry on?
    Thanks
    Ahmad Yahya

    Hi,
relevant material master setting is in MRP3, availability check. If you would like to skip the check, set the indicator to KP - no check.
    Best regards,

  • Commited date for missing parts in the production order

when i generate a prodution order and there are some missing parts for that material. its showing the list of all the missing parts but the commited date is coming out as 12/31/9999.
I maintained the the planned delivery time for all those components.but still its giving me this date

    Dear Deepu,
Check in OPJJ for your checking group and checking rule combination what's the scope of check
defined --->under this you must have included the check box for Check availability without
replenishment lead time. It Indicates whether, during the availability check, the system checks the
    replenishment lead time.
    Use
Items for which the delivery date falls within the replenishment lead time, but for which there is no inventory, are confirmed for delivery after the replenishment lead time. In the case of items for which the delivery date falls after the end of the replenishment lead time, the system assumes that everything can be confirmed.
    Procedure
In the standard version, leave this field blank if you want the system to check the replenishment lead time.
    Dependencies
If you want the system to check the replenishment lead time, you should make sure that you have entered a value in at least one of the following three fields in the material master:
GR (goods receipt) processing time (Purchasing view)
Planned delivery time (MRP I view)
GR processing time (MRP II view)
Otherwise, the system confirms every requirement.
If that check box is included then system proposes the date as 31.12.9999.
Just remove the check box setting and check once again in CO01 for material availability check.
Even If the check box is not included and if the End lead time (replenishment lead time)of that raw
material  is before the order start date then you will not get any mssing part's list.
Suppose if the replenishment lead time is after the order start date means then you will get this raw
    material under mssing parts list.
Replenishment lead time = Planned delivery start time + GR processing time of that raw material (this
    starts from today).
Say let your finished product finish date be 30.03.2009 and order start date be 28.03.2009,and let the
planned delivery time be 15 days and GR processing time of the raw material be 5 days.
So in this case End lead time = 15+ 5 = 20 = 01.04.2009 starting from today ,so in this case you will
be getting this raw material under missing parts because its end lead time time is after the order start
date.Suppose if its  before order start date you will not get in missing parts.(Even if the check box is not
    included under RLT).
So check with this and revert back.

  • Missing Parts List ..( very urgent)

    Hi friends
whiel creating production order for semi finished product, system not showing missping parts for child parts , even though there is no stock for child parts. Here two child parts are semi finished products.
With same order type , for other semifinished products it is showing missping parts. What might be the reason. I have checked storage locations. Pl help me out
    warm regards
    ssp

Check the cheking group in material master MRP3 view for all the semifinshed products. it will be different, replace the one which is showing missing part.
If all are same, then simifished stock may be available, jsut and come back

  • No missing parts for material

how can i set-up my master data in such a way that when a production order is released, a material ( even if it has a BOM requirement ) shall not look for parts or trigger a missing part check. logic for this is that no one stocks parts for this, ex. water.

    Hi,
When you create or release process order system checks for the availability of material depending upon the setting done in material master & process order availability check in OPJK.
Process/production order checks availability of material depending on the check rule assigned to the order type. This check rule is assigned to check group which in turn assigned to material in MRP 3 view (availability check) of material master. For this check group scope of check is defind, thus while checking dependent requirements different stocks will be taken into account.
If you want materials should not be taken for availability check then
    1. you have to first remove check rule from material master (MRP3 view of material master)
    2. Also in transaction OPJK for the check goup you maintained, uncheck checkbox for no material availability check.
    Regards,
    Avinash.

  • Missing parts not shown after ATP check

    Hi PP experts,
Material M10000000 in order 800000000000 is actually a missing part, but after order release and save, even using CO02 to manually do ATP check, there is no missing parts error message.
Due to the above problem, I have problem when picking by CO27 just realised that there is really missing parts, we can not really start production. It should be checked out during order release, because currently our checking rule only include real stock, not including pending purchase order.
Could you please tell me how to solve it? Thank you so much.
    Best Regards,
    Bu Fanchao

    Dear Franchao,
Why can't you stop the production order release if any missing parts are there ???
if production order is not released then system will not allow you to do the any confirmation activities
i.e. if we created production order with CRTD status also actual production is not at all started hence
activate the No release if parts are missing 3 in OPJK
Please try this and let me know
    Regards,
    Venkatesh..
