MSS BW error:  My Controlling Area (SAP Exit, CO Pers.) (*)

Hello,
We're starting to set up MSS My Budget.  When I try to run a BW cost center report from within My Budget, I get an error indicating that the application can't determine a value for "My Controlling Area".  Please advise how I can fix this.  Authorization?  User Exit?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Dennis

Hello,
This problem has occurred AGAIN! I am at a loss of how to resolve.
E.g.
Hours posted = 168 (@ 50 Eur/hr)
Eur = 8,517.60
GBP = 75,396.72
The object currency is Eur however the controlling area currency is GBP. When converting back to GBP it is completely incorrect. Any help would be much appreciated!
Many thanks,

  • Credit Control Area - SAP ISU FICA or SAP Finance (ERP) ???

    Hello Experts,
I was reading about credit control area which is basically - organizational unit that represents an area responsible for granting and monitoring credit. One control area can corresponds to many company code (though vice versa is not true).
So my question is, in term of work order planning should I consider Credit Control Area as a part of SAP Finance (ERP) or SAP - ISU?
Please let me know best reason to put it into any side. I want this information for planning purpose. Kind of vague question, my apologies for that.
    Thanks.

Yes, you will be dealing with new transactions and with a different customizing, for example:
    Functional:
Financial Supply Chain Management ->Credit Management->Rule for Scoring and Credit Limit Calculation and Check Rule
    Customizing:
Financial Supply Chain Management->Credit Management->Credit Risk Monitoring
FSCM Credit management is far more complete functionality than AR Credit management.

  • Subject: Where are SAP Exit Variables and how to use them in Bex Query

I have seen references to variables:  0cyear (Current Year), 0CALYEAR (current year), oCALMONTH (Current month/year).
Under 0CALMONTH characteristic or 0CALYEAR I do not see any of the variables, so how does
one use these variable in the query. For example I want to create a restricted key figure:  Duration restricted by Current calendar year (e.g.  2009 if I am in 2009, 2010 if I am in 2010..).

Thanks a lot. Actally, I was looking in my production system and under varaiables I did not find any SAP Exit variables,
but in development envrionment I do see some.
Why will it not show me these variables in production? Is it because:
    1. Some special premssion is required to view this type of variable
    or
    2. THese varaiables were not installed from Business Content
It is hard for me to beleive, it is permission issue.

  • EREC: Disable controlling area integration

Is there a way to disable controlling area - company code integration in erec system? when we try to hire an employee in HCM system we are getting errors that controlling area doesnt exist for a company code. We didn't have this issue until we started HCM and EREC integration.

    Prasad,
    Here is my simple answer.
At the time of creating COA, you have specified that Manual creation of cost elemants right?
if you select this, then the system will not create a cost elemant at the time of GL creation.
So whenever you want to create cost elemants for each GL, you will have to create it manually by going into each GL and clicking on Edit cost elemant and need to enter the cost elemant cateogry for that and save them.
To avoid this manual creation, SAP provides a batch input processing method for this.
In Tcode OKB2 you have to give GL range along with cost elemant category, Again in Tcode OKB3 you have to execute the program, it will create a batch input session  with all the cost elemants those to be created.  And then execute the batch input session with Tcode SM35. It does not mean that you are creating the cost elemants automatically by creating GL accounts.
This is a standard way for doing manual creation of cost elemants with a batch input processing.
And if you select option Automatic creation of cost elemants at COA config, no need to create a range in OKB2, and generate session in OKB3 and execute session with SM35.
Hope you have understood what i am trying to say.
    Thanks,
    Srinu

  • Control indicator in controlling area

    Hi all,
While I am trying to create a purchase order the system throws an error that controlling area does not have any controlling indicators .Message no KI102 .Please let me know how to solve this . I have created my new enterprise structure in IDES 800 client .
I am providing the procedure the system in prompting
"Check your entries or define control indicators for controlling area 1500, fiscal year 2008 in configuration. Make sure that the fiscal year in the control indicators is a "from" fiscal year"
Plz let me know where I will maintain it .

    Hi
The control indicators are actually the components you have to activate for your controlling area before u use it. U have to make the components active which u want to use in CO module.
    Transaction code: OKKP
Here u also specify if the same controlling area can be used in other company codes.
The transaction is necessary for usage of CO
    thanx

  • Error message when maintaining number range for controlling area

    hello everybody:
I am just creating a new controlling area in current system, it's ok for me to maintain (tcode KANK)the CO number range in Development system, but when comes to QAS, I want to maintain the number range groups (F6) manually, but not possible. A error message is throwed out by SAP saying:
No elements exist for the object/sub-object 0060.
    Message no. NR004.
Can anyone give me any suggestion on what reason this message comes?
    Regards.
    Andy

    Hello Andy,
Please apply the OSS note 4958. This will help you to solve the problem with error NR004 and to define the CO number range objects.

  • Error while assigning Operating concer to Controlling Area

    Hi...
while I am trying to assign operating concern to controlling area, the system is showing the following error message.
    Diagnosis
Controlling area 7500 and operating concern 7500 have different fiscal year variants (01 and K4). However, for cost center assessment, settlement, and many other types of postings to Profitability Analysis, the controlling area and the operating concern must have identical fiscal year variants, otherwise error messages or serious data inconsistencies can occur.
But i already changed fiscal year variant from K4 to 01 in Operating concern and i run the generate operating concern environment also. still the system is showing the same error message.
Is there anything more i need to do after changing fiscal year variant in Operting concern.
    Please help me.
    Thank you,
    Regards,
    Santosh

    I have got the solution.

  • User exit for merging the credit limit in different credit control area.

    Dear All,
Please provide user exit for the merging the credit limit in different credit control area as well as logic for the same.
I have to merge the overall credit limit of the customer for some divisions. At this time in one company code we have created 9 credit control area as per product line. While creating customer master data and Credit management (FD32) user has assigned the different limit with respective to credit control area e. g Customeru2019s total limit assigned is 10 laks.  For credit control 1100 Limit is Rs. 3 laks and for credit control area 2200 limit is 7 laks. Now the user wants to merge the credit limit for only above two credit control area. The sales orders should get created in any credit control area up to 10 laks.
    Regards,
    Suresh
