Multiple PO output - fax and XML
Hello,
We implementing SRM 5.0 and have a requirement to output all PO's via XML and a subset of those PO's by vendor, via fax. I know that the default output is typically driven by Supplier set up but this only allows one default per Supplier.
Does anyone have any suggestions for how to manage multiple outputs automatically for one document?

Hi,
There is two ways to achive this .
1. Process data in your driver program it self and populate subtotal and totals as internal table line items and just display it in the smart forms.
2. Insert a process logic line in your smartforms and play with the text you can display the total and subtotal.

Maintaining Multiple Vendor Phone Fax and Email using IDOC
Hello Guru's,
I have a requirement where I must be able to maintain multiple phone and fax entries for all of our vendors. Is there a standard segment in IDOC CREMAS05 that will allow for this maintenance? Or will I have to use a separate BAPI / FM? I think there must be a standard way for doing this.
As of now it appears the CREMAS05 IDOC only supports the ability to maintain one phone/fax or email address at a time, which is in the LFA1 table, and not at the address table level (ADR2, ADRC, ADRT, etc.).
This is for an R/3 System running on EHP5.

CMS crash with core files and multiple report output generation
Happy new year to everyone,
Our BOXIR3.1SP6FP2 env has recently started behaving weirdly by triggering multiple output to users inbox and email notification out of scheduled reports. Also we have noticed the CMS crash with core file (almost 4GB) generation at the time of multiple report output.
Most of the times, CMC crashes and recycles itself. At few times, CMS services alone went shut down.
OS details: RHEL 5.5, 32 GB RAM, 8 core processor on each of the clustered node, Oracle 10GR2.4 CMS DB server, 11GR2.4 oracle reporting DB server and oracle 11.1.0.6 client.

I'm trying my best for the last few weeks to understand the core issue along with SAP however it is still a mystery.

Below is the observation as part of troubleshooting:
1. CMS breaks at threshold of 3.9 G.
2. CMS DB sits in a different Linux server than BOE server.
3. All core files were generated by boe_cmsd process and are almost 4GB in size (same as max threshold which it breaks).
4. Shell script which I've added in the BOE servers shows that the CMS DB is available/connecting at the time of CMS crash.
5. SAP analysed the Core files and skeptical about the below lines.

I'll continue troubleshooting with a hope to fix it at the earliest.

SCRIPT TO IMPORT MULTIPLE PLACED IMAGES..AND OUTPUT MULTIPLE IMAGES TO SINGLE PDF.
Anyone got a script to import multiple placed images into CS4? or is this possible in CS5?
and can we output multiple layers into a single PDF in illustrator? Or multiple layers into single JPEGS from illustrator with one command instead of individually saving out each page... would be a huge time saver for me.
Currently I output each completed layer individually and then right click those outputted jpegs in their output folder and choose "combine supported files into acrobat..." to make a single acrobat file..
I`d also like to be able to CTRL click multiple layers and go save as... only those layers get saved out...
And so adding something in the Save for PDF output dialogue box to save layers to multiple pages would be a helpful time saver..In CS 4 and CS 5 you can drag and drop fro m the finder or the Bridge, and I guess any other similar type viewer, multiple number of image files to a document. You can configure the bridge in such a way as to allow you to see the Bridge and your document at the same time for this very purpose.
If you just drag and drop the files are linked if you drag while holding the shift key then the files will be embedded.
ID and PS CS 5 have a minibridge which works the sam way but is an actually panel and will stay in the front.
I separate the images but they import one on top of another. -
PO output with mail, fax and print
I have created a PO with message type medium 5 (i.e. External send).
Now I go inside 'Communication method' and I can see communication strategy field, I select EML there (i.e EMAIL, FAX, PRINT).
Now after saving PO is getting mailed and also fax is working, but it is not printing out.
1. Is there any separate settings required for print out?
If I select medium as print out then print is working.
Please advice.

Restrict Output for Fax and Print in Sales Order
Hi,
I am having a sales order output with two output types - Fax and Print. I need to restrict one page "Terms & Conditions" to be printed only once when I select the output type as FAX. But if the output type is PRINT, I have to print the page "Terms & Conditions" after every page i.e in even numbers since it is getting printed on both sides of the paper.
Can anyone help me on this.

We are yet to have this in our system and in requirements gather phase for my FS. I request you to help me in finishing this .

Hi,
I hace newly created email output type and it is working fine, that is mail is sent to the vendor with attachment.
Issue is when the vendor is having fax number and also email id in his master data, Though I am using the email message type, output type is created as FAX.
Where is this priority set?

In transaction OLME under Messages > Output Control > Message Types > Define Message Types for purchase order
execute Maintain Message Types
select your message type and go to the Default Values tab
I think your Fax message is first
the better approach would be to use different message type as explained in Strategy Procedure - Message Control -

1. Create two inbound Service Interface (with the same target Message Type)
2. Create separate Operation mapping with the above service interfaces as target (with the same source service interface)
3. Create Interface Determination and include these two operation mapping (without any condition)
4. Create 2 receiver agreement (with two separate communication channel) for each of the target service Inetrface. In one channel use content conversion and the other one will give you normal XML output

Can RoboHelp 7 output topics as XML (.xml files) ?
We are researching upgrading to RoboHelp 7 from our RoboHelp
HTML 2002 versions. We skipped the X-series upgrades, but I recall
reading that the X-series supported XML in some way. I downloaded
the RH7 trial version and could not find anything in the Help about
XML. Then it seems that suddenly an XML Output icon appeared in the
Single Source Layouts pane. It was not there previously. I then
could generate xhtml (.htm) files.
We called sales who didn't seem to know and said we'd need a
valid license to ask tech support.
Can someone enlighten me about the history of the X-series
and XML output, and what is actually possible for XML from RH7? And
what you need to do to get the XML Output to appear in the Single
Source Layoutspane? XML Output is not covered anywhere I found in
help or knowledge base, but it seems so huge a deal that it makes
me think I must be missing something.

We were hoping to migrate to XML using XMetaL, but Mgt is
balking due to the time and costs involved in conversion and
translation issues. Which is why we may need to upgrade RH2002 to
RH7, so our legacy docs remain pretty much intact. But at the same
time, we want to know what the current RH XML capabilites are, and
are wondering what their plans are for the future, like, will they
offer real XML out to the current major tech writing standard,
DITA. We hope to start authoring new docs only then using XMetal so
we don't take the conversion/translation memory hit.

JCo Calling BAPI and generate htm and xml page in output

I am developing an Application in Java using JCO. The requirement there is a list of BAPI's are available for the selection, once the user select the BAPI , it will dynamically generates the screen of input parameters and than result will be stored in .htm and .xml file. It works for many BAPI's, but for few of that it won't work. Will you help me out why its gng to create problem for other BAPI's.
e.g.
BAPI_SALESORDER_GETLIST
BAPI_PO_GETITEMS
BAPI_MATERIAL_GET_DETAIL and few more...
It doesn't generate the proper output of these BAPI's.

There are many files so i wont be able to put the codes but let me tell u how i m doing.
1) Giving the options to user in which server they want to connect.
2) After connection has been established there is a plain text file available which consists the list of BAPI's which will be displayed in the list box.
3) After user select any BAPI and press a button named 'DETAILS' it will display the Import/Export/Tables list.
4) After clicking on Next , i m generating a dynamic screen for input parameters.
5)Here is this step also one problem is that i have to write all the zeros, can u tell me if i want to pad the zeroes automatically what i will do.Becz every time the input parameters of each BAPI would be different.
6) After getting input parameters i will generate the .htm and .xml file using writeXML and writeHTML function.
7) I want to show them generated xml and html file in iexplore using clicking button...Can u tell me how to achieve that.

How is html page outputed when using taglib and xml ?
Dear all,
I am a newbie for taglib and xml. Today, when I read some source code of a
website, I found that there is a entry like
"%@ taglib uri="/tlds/taglib.tld" prefix="myprefix" %>",
and some other entries like
"<myprefix:Content area="<%=contentArea%>" />"
I opened the specifized file taglib.tld and saw a tag entry named "Content",
its tagclass is com.mycom.presentation.taglib.ContentTag. Again I opend a
java class file "ContentTag.java" and saw some setXXX methods and doXXX
methods. I donot know how is the webpage outputed. Can someone give me a
detailed description about that? I will greatly appreciate your help.

Hi Andy,
The sequence of operations that happen when a JSP page encounters a Custome Tag are
1. Find the class associated with the custom tag from the tld.
2. The set and get methods that u find are for passing the values for the tag attributes that u may need
to pass.
3. The Tag Lib class performs the operation specified and flushes the output to the jsp.

Output fax not getting triggered when sales order credit block is released
Hi Experts,
I am working on an issue.
I have one sales Order which has credit block.
when we release the credit block via vkm3, then the output fax gets triggered.
I have another sales order which has credit block,
when we release the credit blcok via vkm3 , the output fax is NOT getting triggered.
If any of you has worked on this setting, request your input on where to find the settings/coding for the same.
Any advice on this please.

Order 1: Issues output fax(ZFAX) correctly when block is released.(i see output zfax in te output screen)
Order 2: Fails to issue output fax(ZFAX) even when the block is released.( i dont see any output in the output screen)
I went to Go to -Determine analysis for both orders 1 and order 2.
in both the analysis i am able to see the output ZFAX.
*Analysis Output*

1. ZFAX 1. ZFAX
10(Z010) 10(Z010)
0000122426 0000122427
2. ZFAX 2. ZFAX
When i click, D.Click on the output type ZFAX on both the order Analysis output screen, i see similarities.
There in just 2 differences as below.
In the above screen,
1.Order 1 ==> has some value 0000122426
2.For Order 1==> row marked 2.(in the above screen) if i D.Click on ZFAX it says
Diagnosis
Output ZFAX has already been issued. Multiple issue for this output type is forbidden in Customizing.
In the above screen
1.Order 2 ==> has some value 0000122427
2.For Order 2==> row marked 2.(in the above screen) if i D.Click on ZFAX it says
No more information is available.
Please guide as to how to initiate the debug for output processing ?
Which screen where to switch on debugger.
where to look further?
