TS1538 iPod Touch with blank screen that doesn't shut off and not recognized by iTunes?
I opened the app "MyTown 2", and it stayed on the opening screen for about 5 minutes - WAYYY too long! So I tried to close the app. A slight grayscale sort of film "slid" down over the opening screen, and then it went to this light gray, completely blank screen. It's been that way for over an hour - no matter what I do, can't do a hard shut down, and the device is not recognized by iTunes at all. It's completely DEAD!!!! Is there any hope? Anyone have a clue?
Following the instructions in this procedure to the letter. Here they are, with emphasis on some easily overlooked requirements:
Disconnect the USB cable from the iPod Touch, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release only the Sleep/Wake button.
Continue pressing and holding the Home button while you reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.Note: If you see the "low battery" screen, let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some charge, and then start with step 2 again.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears (iTunes icon and USB connector) release the Home button.
If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the "recovery mode" alert ("iTunes has detected a phone in recovery mode").
Use iTunes to restore the device.
If you do not see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, try these steps again. If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen but the device does not appear in iTunes, see this article and its related links.
Select the device in iTunes and choose "restore from backup".
If you still can't get it to work, you have done all you can and only Apple will be able to help. -

I've tried a hard reset but that doesn't work. I was listening to music and went to change the song and my screen wouldn't show. My phone rings and gets texts, but the screen will not show.
do a soft reset, hold the lock and home screen at the same time for 4 seconds, that's what fixed mine and it fixes about 90% of all problems like that on the iPhone

If your phone isn't being recognized by your computer, you need to follow the steps in this article to resolve that
Also, some basic isolation needs to be done. Does it show up in itunes on any other computers? do you have other cords you can test with to see if it might be the cord? if the phone doesn't show up on any computers, it's likely your phone has a hardware issue

Changing host and DNS on OAS9i please help ASAP
I am working on a win2000 Advanced server with Oracle 8i enterprise edition and OAS9i.
I have a running webserver that I want to change its name and DNS to become a subdomain (i.e it was http://www.xxxxxx.net to become http://zzzz.yyyyyy.com).
I have changed the computer's name and DNS, and I have made changes to all files *.ora *.cfg and *.conf related to the server naming(ex. httpd.conf, formsweb.cfg, listener.ora, tnsnames.ora,etc) in both homes(ora81 and ora806).
The apache, forms & reports servers plus windows services are all running after the change, but I am not able to enter my web application. I get an exception after entering the username and password.
The exception is a FRM92100:
Java Exception
sun.applet.AppletSecurityException:checkconnect.networkhost2 and many lines that follow.but I think this is the location of the main exception.
Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem?

I looked at the notes, but unfortunately I am using OAS 9i release 1 (1.0.2.2).
I didn't try to implement what the notes said since there may be an incompatibility problem with versions.

I recieved an ipod 5 for a early christmas present a day ago, I already owned an ipod 4 so i just used my info from that ipod as a back up for my 5g. but now when i try to download music from itunes it says i must use my security questions (which i made over a year ago) I can't remember the answers and i can't get on the email that it sends the reset info to. i don't know what to do and its really frustrating. please help ASAP!
You need to contact Apple to get the questions reset. Click here, phone them, and ask for the Account Security team, or fill out and submit this form.
Whichever method you use, you probably won't get a response until the 26th. If you absolutely must make a purchase before then, create a new Apple ID; you won't be able to transfer previous purchases or iTunes Store credit to it.

My iPhone 4s is stuck on a black screen that shows a USB cable connecting to iTunes. The phone will not turn on and the iTunes logo as I described only shows up when I plug the phone into the charger or my computer. I have tried the reset in restore mode as well as the DFU? mode and it still will not work. I have the latest version of iTunes on my Mac. My error code was 2002. I also tried it on my laptop (windows 8.1) and none of the above worked. My error code on my laptop was 02. The phone is through Verizon and it has absolutely no damage. It was working fine up until this and I have been trying to fix it for 2 days. Please help! I am unsure of what version the phone was currently running on before this because I have another iphone that's my primary phone and have not used this one in about a month. I do not believe it was updated to IOS 7.
Your iPhone is in recoverty mode at the moment so to possibly get it back up and running you would need to do a restore as you have been trying. Follow the steps in the article below for the specific error messages you have been receiving. If after following all steps the issue remains book an appointment at a local Apple Retail Store to have the iPhone evaluated.

You probably have to go through a restore of the phone.
Plug the phone in and launch iTunes, then select your phone from the left side of the menu.
There will be an option to restore the phone and click that button.
That will erase and restore the phone. After it's done, it will ask you to restore from a recent backup, and you can choose to go ahead and restore.
You should be back up and running from there, but may have to do some minor tweeks to get yourself back up exactly as you left off. Some things like your visual voicemail password and email passwords may have to be entered again, but you'll be in good shape. -
