Need to reduce parse count

In a continuously running Pro*c program has one statement as shown below:
EXEC SQL UPDATE TABLE_MAP SET LAST_TIME = TO_CHAR(SYSDATE,'YYYYMMDDHH24MISS');
This statement is executing more than 5 times every minute. But for every execution it is going for parse. So, total number of execution is equal to total number of parse.
Please advise me how I can reduce my parse count.
The table TABLE_MAP has only one row.

  • Reduce frame count?

    Hi
    I have a image sequence of 350 images. I want to reduce to half 175 images
    Is it possible to Reduce frame count in flash mx, (remove every other frame)
    automaticy, not by hand one frame at a time.
    I do also have flash cs5
    can it be done in that?
    Thank you..

    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Flash/10.0_ExtendingFlash/flash_cs4_extending.pdf
    there's no difference in jsfl from one flash version to another so you don't need cs4 for this.

  • User wise Hard parsing count

    Hi,
    Is there a way we can get statistics of Hard Parse count user/schema wise? In the AWR, i can hard parse statistics at an instance level. The database is used by 3 - 4 vendor products and each one is using one schema. So it will be useful to pinpoint which user is causing maximum hard parse.
    I am using database 10.2.0.4 on RHEL 4
    Thanks

    Thank you Venkat,
    I just needed an indicative figure and your query was good enough. I can talk to product of VENDOR2 schema and show this count.

  • Need to unreserve a counter in a finite pulse train generation

    Hi. Let´s introduce my application first: I´m trying to generate a N-pulse train with the M series PCI-6221, in order to achieve a high frequency clock for an SSI transducer. That´s why i can´t use a software generation (because of the high frequency) and i have to use a finite pulse train. Besides, I would need to use another counter for a variable and finite count (but not simultaneously). The problem is that, as i think i have understood, this finite pulse train involves the two counters working together, so I can´t programm another task with that resources.
    My question is, Is there any way to do the finite pulse train generation, unreserve the counters, wait for a finite count to finish and so on?
    Thanks.

    Hello,
    My knowledges tell me that you need two counter to generate a finite pulse train.
    The first counter generates a pulsed of desired width and the second counter generates the pulse train which is gated by the pulse of the first counter (Counter 0=Pulse Generation, Counter 1=Pulse train generation).
    However, the finite pulse train generation and the continuous pulse train generation seem similar. The key difference is the generation mode from continuous to finite and the use fo a DAQmx Wait Until Done vi instead of a loop to monitor user input. From a point of view of the hardware there is a difference between the two. Continuous pulse train generation requires only 1 COUNTER.
    Maybe you can try with a continuous pulse train generation and with this method you have another counter to do a finite count.

    DiegoM.

  • I need to reduce the size of several pdf files before transferring them onto a research database. Each file is made up of 100 images (pages of diaries)

    I need to reduce the size of several pdf files before transferring them onto a research database. Each file is made up of 100 images (pages of diaries) & is up to 1.36 GB in size. I have tried reducing file size in preview but the images are unreadable. Any ideas?

    WHen I want to reduce the file size, I either use "Optimize Scanned PDF", or more often use "Reduce File Size". Both are on the Document menu. The Reduce File Size selection has some limited customization that is used, when selected.

  • I need to reduce the size of a 150 page report

    I need to reduce the size of my 150 page report.
    Presently I have opened and copied about 25 MS Outlook 2007 personal e-mail messages into the Word document. Please advise if one of your programs would solve my problem. If so please recommend the correct program. This is a one shot report of this size.
    I am using MS 2007 Word, Outlook, Excel and Google Chrome.
    Thank you for your support.
    Regards,

    Hi Earle Rheaume ,
    Using Adobe Acrobat you can directly convert the emails to PDF which would be less in size as compared to a DOC or Excel.
    Also, you can convert the existing word or excel file to PDF.
    Thanks,

  • Do I need to reduce the images size in pixels before upload them to M.Me?

    Do I need to reduce the images size in pixels (actual size jpeg 5616 × 3744 pixels/766kb) before upload them from iPhoto to a Mobile Me Gallery?
    Otherwise they will be heavy or the upload process take care of that?
    It would be nice that iPhoto took care and optimize the images to display online without any more work, because I´ve 1200 images to upload and they´re jpegs 5616 × 3744 pixels. It´s just to viewing purposes. Not o download or print.
    Thanks.

    In fact no matter if I use a High or Medium compression size JPEG, the size after upload is the same.
    Starts with 1,5 MB/5600px (high) or 780kb/5600px (medium) JPEG and ends after upload in 115kb for a 1024px image.
    This means that iPhoto auto compress in order to publish to Mobile Me, even if we start with a bigger file.
    I hope this info is useful to others.
    Thanks.

  • Need to reduce a 2.7 MB PDF into 1200 KB

    need help reducing size of a 2.7 MB PDF file into less than 1200 KB PDF

    Hi Mayolie82,
    Acrobat XI Pro has the feature to reduce PDF file size so you can download the trial version from www.adobe.com to your local disk or you can upgade your subscription to Acrobat Plus.
    The steps to do are below:
    1. Launch Acrobat
    2. Open your PDF file
    3. Select File menu > Save As Others > Reduced Size PDF
    4. Click "OK" button
    5. Rename your PDF file (so that you do not overwrite your original PDF file).
    That's all.
    Thank you.

  • I need to WAP to count the number of occurences of an alphabet in a string.

    I need to WAP to count the number of occurences of an alphabet in a string.I tried a lot and have surfed a lot regarding this problem.
    I m not the most proficient with java.but this is all i could come up with,and would appreciate some help here.I hope you guys would help me find a solution to this.
    e.g String : abcabrty
    Result should be
    a:2
    b:2
    c:1
    r:1
    t:1
    y:1
    public class chkoccurences
         public static void main(String args[ ])
              String user_Data=args[0];
              int counter=0;
              try
                   for(int i=0;i<user_Data.length( );i++)
                        for(int j=0;j<user_Data.length( );j++)
                             if(user_Data.charAt(i) == user_Data.charAt(j))
                             counter++;
                        System.out.println(user_Data.charAt(i)+" exists "+counter+" time(s) in the word.");
                   System.out.println(" ");
              catch(ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException e)
                   System.out.println("Check the array size.");
    }This is the output i get out of the program:
    a exists 2 time(s) in the word.
    b exists 4 time(s) in the word.
    c exists 5 time(s) in the word.
    a exists 7 time(s) in the word.
    b exists 9 time(s) in the word.
    r exists 10 time(s) in the word.
    t exists 11 time(s) in the word.
    y exists 12 time(s) in the word.What i think is i need an array to store the repeated characters because the repeated characters are getting counted again in the loop,if you know what i mean.
    Please, i would appreciate some help here.

    How do I gang automation? ie. I need to reduce the volume on the master fader, so I need to reduce the volume on all my faders (ideally simultaneously.)

    Open the Mixer, select all the faders at once and lower 1 of them. the others will follow proportionally.
    Or you can just put a gain plugin in the master output and lowerr the gain coming to the masterfader.
