  • MM Account determination with valuated/non valuated sales order stock!

    Hi All,
I have been trying to set up MM account determination in our project for sales order assigned POs.What I have observed is that when I have a PO with sales order assignment and according to requirement class (coming through reqt type) in sales order it is valuated sales order stock then in the PO we get the stock account determined through BSX key. But when it is non valuated sales order stock we get a different account assigned through GBB-VKA key. In both the cases the account assignment category in the PO is "E".
Can someone please explain what is the connection between valuated/non valuated sales order stock and MM account determination and if what is happening is right from account determination point of view?
    Regards,
    V S

    These are two different postings:
    BSX: stock posting
GBB: Offsetting entry for stock posting
    Stock posting (BSX)
This transaction is used for all postings to stock accounts. Such
    postings are effected, for example:
    -   In inventory management in the case of goods receipts to own
stock and goods issues from own stock
    -   In invoice verification, if price differences occur in
connection with incoming invoices for materials valuated at
moving average price and there is adequate stock coverage
    -   In order settlement, if the order is assigned to a material with
moving average price and the actual costs at the time of
settlement vary from the actual costs at the time of goods
        receipt
Offsetting entry for stock posting (GBB)
Offsetting entries for stock postings are used in Inventory
Management. They are dependent on the account grouping to which each
movement type is assigned. The following account groupings are
    defined in the standard system:
    -   VKA:     for sales order account assignment
(for example, for individual purchase order)

    Hi,
I get this error when trying to create a purchase order (type EUB). I think I should define a new account for sales order. How should I proceed?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi
    1) Check the spro-MM-purchasing-account assignment-Maintain account assignment categories -
Here check the account modifications against Account assignment category C,P
    2) Then go to OBYC -GBB check the account maintained against the account modifier obtained in step 1

  • Unable to post to consumption account in sales order creation

    Dear Members:
It's a struggle for a while, that I am getting error - "not possible to determine consumption account" , "the system was not able to determine a consumption account for purchase order item with acc assignment" and suggresting to address "GBB" posting key- while creating sales order in VA01.
This is when generating sales order for make-to-order BOM item with header-item item categories as TAQ-TAE with sched. line "CS" attached to TAE (forcing it to generate purchase requisition). Also I have GL accounts entered for GBB posting key in AUF/BSA/VKA.
Could someone please give clue where I am going wrong - appreciate very much.
    Thanks
    Atanu

I had also faced the same problem. Please do the following,
Logistics - General> Material Master> Basic Settings> Material Types> Define Attributes of Material Types
You will reach to this screen
Select the Material type and check for the Quantity /value update for the material type.
I maen here you should put tick mark infront of your plant.

  • Re: Missing G/L Account in Sales Order

    Hi all,
I have a BOM material configured and now I am creating a Sales Order with the BOM Material in order to trigger the Production of the goods.
I have looked in most of the forums and checked that VKOA assignment is there. Even in the Acct Assignment analysis, the G/L account is determined, but yet it is showing "Missing Data: G/L Account" in the analysis.
What else could there be to maintain?
    Pls assist.
    Thanks.
    Rgds.

  • COGS determination for Free of cost sales order

    Hi All,
We have an issue regarding the COGS determination for Free of cost sales order. We created a free of cost sales order. But i need to know whether this sales order items will hit to COGS or not? If so how do i check whetehr its has been charged to COGS or not? and we have an issue raised saying thst one material in this sales order has not being charged to COGS. So please help me to solve this issue. Ihave checked the account assignment in GBB-VAX. And is there anyting to do with the settlement profile for COGS determination?.
    Thanks and regards
    Uday

    Hi,
During PGI a material document and accounting doc gets created which would hit COGS account.
You're talking about one specific sales order in which for one material it didn't hit COGS account or any order you're creating now with that material has an issue? If its a specific material which has an issue always..then something is wrong with that material master setup. Also you can go to the reported Sales order--doc flow to the PGI document and check the accounting doc and if its not posted..check the analysis why its not posted?
And if its one off then I would suggest 2 options:
    1) Reverse the goods movement, cancel the delivery or if billing has already been done..cancel the billing as well. And re-do the cycle. This always ensures correct posting.--> Recommended option.
    2) Manual adjustment in FI.
And settlement profile is Controlling concept..not sure you would get any help on this in this forum.
    Regards

  • Cost Center and GL account in Sales Order / Delivery

I have a requirement where we want user to specify what cost center and GL account should be used while posting goods issue.
Currently GL account and Cost Center is automatically determined based on OBYC configuration.
Is there a way  user can populate Cost center and GL account at Sales order or Delivery document level and what ever they have specified will be used for Posting Goods Issue.
If user doesnt specify anything then standard OBYC determination should take place.
I looked at OVF3 transaction which can default cost center (though no GL account) but its not useful in our requirement.
I also looked at OKB9 transaction but not sure if we can use it either.
Again we want user to enter Cost center and GL account at either SO or Delivery document level and then that should be used for Post goods issue.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
In delivery under tab GOODS MOVEMENT DATA
After valuation type column COST CENTER & G/L Account column available
Now with the help of FI consultant make it change mode so user can maintain  also I observe that if delivery created without reference to order then that fields are in change mode means user cn maintain data for this but if with reference to order it is disable mode
Check in t-code OMJJ FIELD SELECTION FOR MOVEMENT TYPE
    Put movement 601
Then select movement type and double click on filed selection (from 201)
Then go to additional account assignment and for cost centre make it optional or requirement
or Else under field selection enjoy for movement type 602 indsert field KONT0 and KOSTL and check
If this can not work there is option field selection for G/L account check that with FI

  • Whre to see the contract number in sales order

    Hi All,
I created conrtact thruogh T.code:va41,based on this number,i create sales order. But my question is where can i see the contract number in sales order(va01).Pls suggest.
    Thanks,
    GTNR

    Hi GTNR,
This is not possible to see in VA01 while creating the sale order, because the system taking the reference document no form buffer,so it is not possible to see in VA01.While creating the order you select create with reference there it self you will tell the system through which contract you want to create the sale order.
Once you save the order in change mode VA02 you can see that through document flow or form table also you can see
    as Mr.Ravi mentioned above.

  • Sales order with reference to Contract and another sales order

    Hi Gurus,
I would like your suggestions on one of the business requirement i have.
We are creating a new EDI interface with few of our customers to create sales orders. While creating sales orders, it should validate if there are any open contracts available and if yes, then the sales order should be created with reference to it. so far good but there are chances that sold to party on the contract could be different from sold to party on the EDI order sent by customer (customer can have more than one sold to party on their system). IDOC's are failing in this scenario and not able to create a sales order since sold to partys are not matching. I need your help.
Can we do some thing in customer master to handle this scenario?
    or
Create a new sales doc type (YEDI or some thing) and create sales order from IDOC without reference to contract. Business will look into all YEDI order and create the actual sales order out of it but the challenge here is i cannot refer contract to the actual sales order or YEDI order.
Is it possible to create sales order with ref to a contract and another sales order?
    Please help
    Thanks
    Venkat

    Hello Venkat
What is the linkage between sold to party of contract and sold to party of order..If customer has more than one sold to party.
Why don't you use customer hierarchy....link all sold to party of a customer to hierarchy node.for example...you create a hierarchy  node 1000 and assigned customers 2000 and 3000 to it.you have contract for 2000..so when you create a sales order for 3000 check in knvh table it's customer hierarchy 1000 and get all sold tos assigned to hierarchy...which is 2000....check if contract exist for sold to's..If yes then create order with reference.
Let us know if it works for you.
    Thanks

  • G/L account in sales order determination not diplayed

    Hello,
Please help on my issue related to the account determination in sales order.
I have this condition type maintained with account key and accrual in pricing procedure.
I have also maintained both G/L and provision account for the account key and accrual in VKOA.
So now, I am expecting that when I go into the condition details of the condition type, I can see in the account determination the account and accrual key together with the G/L and provision account maintained, but then I only see the Account and Accrual keys on the condition details w/o the G/L accnt and provision accnt. can u please advise why is it not showing? and what did i missed in customizing?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
It is understood that you have assigned the G/L account in VKOA; but not traceable in the sales order. In VKOA, if you selected the first combination, check for 1. Condition type for account determination [KOFI or KOFK], 2. Account assignment group for customer, 3. Account assignment group for material.
KOFI is for account determination; whereas KOFK is for account determination with CO.
The account assignment group assigned in VKOA should match with the Customer and material used in sales order.
After creating the sales order, you can check the account assignment. Display the document; Goto environment  >> Analysis >> Account determination. Click on the u2018condition typeu2019 to see whether the GL account is determined or not. Click on the access to check how the G/L account is determined.
Hope this information will be useful to you.

Go to sales order VA03, here under "Procurement" Tab, check the "RqTy" (Requirement type for e.g. KE)
Now go to OVZH, here check the requirement class for Requirement type KE, it will be "040" for e.g.
    Now go to SPRO > Sales and Distribution > Basic Functions > Account Assignment/Costing > Maintain Requirements Classes For Costing/Account Assignment > Here for Requirement Class "040", enter following;
    Acct assignment cat.        E
Valuation                   M (Separate valuation with ref. to sales document/project)
Then do the cycle again and check.

  • Support Contract wref to sales order-how to get serial number

    Hi Experts,
    Below is the scenario
Step 1:I sell product[supplied by thirdparty] in sales order  123456
    Material number     Description      Qty
    material-0001         Printer             2
Step 2:While purchase it from 3rd party it will be having serial number which can be entered manually while doing goods receipt. Eg:
Material number        Description    Qty      Serial number
    Material-001              Printer           1         PS-10001
    Material-001              Printer           1         PS-10002
Step 3: Now I create a support contract with reference to the sales order 123456 for the sold printers. Here I need to capture the serial numbers of both printers, so that when customer complaints, the item can be identified.
How can we achieve this in the contract?
    Waiting for a quick reply
    Thanks
    Banu

    Hi Banu,
    1. Create a Contract with Service product.
    a. Create a Service material in MM01, with material type DIEN
    b. Create a General Task list master (Tcode - IA05).
    c. Attach this Task list with the Service material using OISD Tcode (set the reference object Equipment - if your equipment and serial number are same) -->(Service Product)
2.Attach the Technical objects (Equipment Number or Material number + Serial Number) to the line item service product.Maintain the contract data like price, start and end date.
    3. Create a Sales order VA01, with reference to the Contract document
    a. Configure this sales document type, material type to determine the Item category TAD
    b. Let this Item category has the Requirement type SERA (maintain Service order type in requirement class(230 as default)
    4. System will ask you the equipment number to create a Service order.
    5. Enter the Equipment number,
System will ask you to select the Operations from the task list that has been attached with the Service product in step 1.c
    6. Save the sales order and open in Change mode.
    7. In Scheduled lines tab, you can find a "Service order button". Click on the button, will show the service order for the given Equipment number in display mode.
You can edit the Service order IW32, and confirm the operations and issue materials to capture the actual cost and settle to the Sales order.
    Hope this would help.

    Manjushail

    Hi Christian,
If the service order line items are entittled to service contract , at each item level you will get contract info in contract data tab.
when you transfer these items to confirmation , confirmation item contract data will not have contract information. Only when you enter items in confirmation manually then system will pop up window for selection contract and confirmation items get contract information.
    thanks,
