On/off button and customer relationship problem in Istanbul

like most people i have a problem with my on/off button (iphone 5).
last week i saw the info about Apple's replacement program about iphone 5 with this issue.
i checked mey serial number and it was eligible for the program.
yesterday i went to apple store in Istanbul, they also checked my serial number and verified that it is eligible for replacement program.
they told me to get an appointment from their web site for genius bar.
last night i checked the site and it told me there is no valid date for appointment.
i tohught that maybe it was a temporary situtation. i checked this morning and afternoon and still i am getting the same error "no valid date".
then i decided to call Apple Store Istanbul to see if there is anything else i can do.
the girl on the phone told me there is a problem of getting an appointment for genius bar online for 3 weeks and you cant get an appointment in any other way.
actually they dont care what you need or how to solve a problem. i asked her 3 times what should i do now ? she told me maybe you can try after 12 pm on sunday.
maybe it ll work to get an appointment online. i asked if i can speak to someone who can help me or show me any other way. but the answer is simple; NO.
what should i do ? i ll be glad if someone can help me or show me a way.

i wondered if you managed to get an appointment at the Genius Bar in Istanbul.
I have a iPhone 5s which is completely dead (hardware problem diagnosed by iTunes)  and have been informed by apple support that I'm eligible for a replacement. I'll be traveling from N Cyprus but I'm finding it impossible to get an appointment. I've been trying for days. 
This as you know is very frustrating. I wondered if you had any advice.

People are expecting this problem to be fixed but I don't see it being solved any time soon. This is horrible and really low, because I have been a good customer, when I talk to the people at the genius bar, I show the utmost respect I can to them for the work they put into their job, but somewhere there is a problem where something has gone wrong. Because of that, people that only have a one year warranty (which i received because I purchased my apple iPhone at an Optus outlet, once that one year warranty is up, I have to pay for a problem that isn't even my fault? That isn't how it should work, you should be fixing this problem so people can be happy customers and leave happy. Obviously you don't all know how to do your jobs, because if you did, we wouldn't have this problem. I would like a replacement phone, ONCE AGAIN.     My iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, and iPad 2 are running 6.1.3 with no such problem and the same with the overwhelming majority of iOS devices running 6.1.3.

  • On/off Button and brightness buttons don't work in the Apple Cinema Display

    I write you because I bought a new apple cinema display 20" a month ago and I have problems with the on and off button and the brightness buttons. Thew work sometimes. I think that te problem is windows XP but I am not sure. My graphics card is a ATI RADEON X800 GT Gecube 256 Mb DDR2.
    Would yo mind telling me how can repair that? If I need something to repair o it is better to buy the new windows to avoid that problem.

    But the problem was when I was installing this driver, Windows said that it's imcompatible with windows XP.Is this normal? o I need to download a special edition for windows xp.

    You can try the standard fixes to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset. Nothing is lost
    Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory defaults/new iPod
    If you still have the problem that points to a hardware problem. Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price.
    Or you can turn on the Assistive Touch Accessibility feature. See chapter 30 of the Users Guide

I'm concerned that this is a virus. It does not look like it's related to Apple or the imac OS.

    That sounds like a kernel panic. These are generally hardware related, often caused by poorly seated or fauly RAM.

  • I cant get my i pad off. when i hold the on/off button and swipe it off it acts like it is in a loop. it wont do anything.

    Try rebooting your iPad.  Press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time for at least 10 seconds (ignore the red slider to shut down) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPad will restart.  See if you can shut down then......

    If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
    At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
    If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

    Is the iPad charged?  Plug it in with the charger/wall outlet for half an hour and try again to reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears.

    For no apparent reason, the on/off button and volume buttons stopped working. iPod touch 4th gen with 4.3.3 installed.

    You can try a couple of things.
    First a hard reboot: hold the sleep/wake and home button down until the unit shuts off and boots back up to the Apple screen.
    Second restore the device py plugging it into iTunes and under the device summary screen click restore. You want to restore from backup to make sure all your info is synced back to the iPod at the end. Depending on how much stuff is on there this can take a while.
    Thrid, take it to the Apple Store and have a Genius look at it. Depending you how bussy your local Apple store is you probably want to make a reservation first.

    Try plugging it into your computer, see if that clears it up or if you can perform a restore from your latest backup.

    When you plug it in to iTunes does it show up under devices? Try restoring it. That's the best thing you can do if you're out of warrenty

  • Combo of T61 and customer support problems

    My main problem is that my T61 freezes up.  It came with a 2 gig ram, sbbb Intel core 2 duo t7500 processor, 1 gig turbo memory window's ultimate 32 bit os and an 80 gig hard drive. This problem has been going on intermittently (odd) since I  received the laptop brand new.  I may or may not be able to move the cursor over the screen when it is frozen.  It does not high light anything, control-alt-delete does not work, nothing responds.  I have to manually hold down the power button to turn the system off.  
    The different things it has done, and not all during the same occurrence:  blue screen with white writing, black screen with white writing, black screen oxc 000000f-selected entry could not be loaded because application is missing or corrupt, the memory was dumped (I had used rescue and recovery backup disks then because I did not know if something was corrupt in the original software that came loaded on it), sometimes it checks the c-drive after being manually shut down, sometimes it does not, problem with window's registry (only did that maybe twice), and corrected master file table, corrected bit map (after checking c). Sometimes it freezes and gives no error messages during restart.  I do not have anything loaded on this system that is not compatible with vista nor anything that exceeds the ram. 
    When I had to use my rescue and recovery disks because everything crashed, I called tech support.  They told me I needed to update my drivers-especially my video driver.  I tried to tell them that I had been going to the lenovo website for driver updates, using pc doc, updating bios, doing a registry cleanup, defraging the hd, and of course window's updates.  So he gave me a link on lenovo's website for another update.  During that call, I told the guy that the recovery disks that came with the laptop loaded XP on my system.  He sent me out vista recovery disks-vista business, not ultimate, and it was freezing up on vista and xp-no matter what program I was using.  The next time I called, lenovo had my computer shipped back and replaced the corrupt 2 gig ram.  It came back with the same software it left with, so I know my hard drive had not been wiped.  On the third call I was told to update my drivers, check the hard drive using bios, that it was my web browser, remove the battery....  By this time I was wondering about technical service which leads me to my other issue.
    I called the month after my warranty ran out, because I thought I had an established history of problems with this $1600+ laptop that has not worked right, and I was told that the warranty had run out, they would not honor it, records after 30 days were wiped-so there went my established history.  Now someone please tell me why a computer company would not keep records of customers warranty work requests?  Especially during the warranty period.  I was then given the number to out of warranty claims who told me it was out of warranty (duh) and she gave me the number to entitlement.  They called me the next day, which was nice but unfortunately I was not expecting their call and did not have all my info available.  Entitlement told me that someone from tech support would call me within the hour.  My computer proceeded to freeze up-so I left it frozen while waiting for tech support to call.  They did not so I called them, was told my warranty was out of date and I was transferred to another number.  Now this entire time I had been polite in my requests and conversations, my family had even alerted them to  a billing error that would have caused another customer some problems.  The tech I was transferred to was extremely rude the entire time.  I was not given the opportunity to explain my situation-which was what entitlement said the call would be about.   I requested mediation, he told me someone would call me within two days, then he proceeded to hang up on me.  No one has called.
    I would appreciate some assistance, in my computer problems and how to get in touch with the right person about customer service.  Thank you.

    obviously you have suffered a lot with the laptop os not working properly, have you tried to disable the turbo memory, sometimes that cause alot of trouble.

    I performed the steps indicated but this morning when I clicked the mouse and hit the space key and clicked the track pad again as before nothing happens.
    I hold the power button for a few seconds and the screen fills as if the computer was normally awakened but it is locked up.
    Then I have to shut it down with the power button  and then power it up as a reboot.
    Not good...SMC reset didn't work....Throughout the day yesterday I put the computer to sleep and woke it up normally.  It seems to be a overnight problem.
    Am I going to have to shut it down everynight?
