Outlook 2013 does not redirect emails to an external email address

I'm trying to redirect incoming outlook emails to my Hotmail account (or gmail) When I set a rule in ECP for my outlook account, it works. However, if I set a local rule from Outlook 2013 Desktop client, I receive in outlook 2013, but it does not redirect
(or forward) to my Hotmail or any non organization email address.
Is there something I should do on server side?
Thanks.

Hi,
I would suggest you to create the corresponding mail contact and select this from the outlook for the redirection rule

My iPad won't send emails despite identical settings with iPhone which does work. " server does not recognise email address" resetting account fails to solve issue. What else can I try?

Have you checked ALL the settings including the port assignments? Easiest way to get those back to is to delete the email account from the iPad then redo the email account. Usually the ISP providing the email account will have instructions on their web site.

The new adobe send does not remember email addresses. Is there a way to make it?

    Hi remembering email address,
If you're using Send via Adobe Reader, you can take advantage of your local contact list. Please see I’m trying to send a file from Adobe Reader, but I can’t access my computer’s address book to find my contacts. Why not? for more information about that feature.

  • Search for mail in Outlook 2013 does not have all emails in result.

Hi, we have a user that tries to search for a sertain mail in her mailbox, and when she searches, a few mail comes up, but the one she knows is there, and that fits the search pattern, is not listed in the results.
We have tried to reindex the database the user was on, we have moved her to another database, and none of these have given us the result we want.
We have also removed the checkmark in "Search" in Outlook for "Improve search speed by limiting the number of results shown".
If she does the same search in OWA or Outlook 2010, the result is as expected, but in Outlook 2013, it is not.
Has anyone experienced this, and if so, what could be done to solve it?
Google(Bing) produces very little results that are relevant to this for me.
Hope someone here has an answer :)

  • Outlook 2013 does not print "To:"

    Hello All,
I have a few .eml files that are not printing correctly in Outlook 2013. After opening the files and selecting to Print or Print Preview, the "To:" header does not print. It is just simply excluded. If the same file is opened in Outlook 2010, the
    message prints properly.
Other emails in my inbox print properly, so the issue is on the files. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your response!

    Hi,
I didn't reproduce this issue in my Outlook 2013.
If you just print an email from the list (not a .msg file), does this issue persist?
Outlook keep its printing style settings in a file called OutPrnt. We could solve this issue by renaming the OutPrnt file to .old when Outlook is closed.
    You can find this file:
    drive:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook
We can also create a new profile to test if this issue exist:

  • Outlook 2013 does not open after Windows / updates

    Hi,
I had installed Office 2013 on my Windows PC. I got updates for Office 2013 and after that my Outlook stoped working. It did not open except in safe mode. I checked similar problems and tried to remove add ins in safe mode but still does not work. Tried
to create new profile no success. Then I tried to re install it yesterday and it worked fine until I got updates again today and it stops open again.
Is something wrong with Office 2013 updates?
Any suggestion/solutions to fix this problem.
    Chagi

    Hi,
Since Outlook works fine in safe mode, you can also try to open Outlook with
/safe:1 and /safe:3 commands to narrow down the cause.
/safe:1  Starts Outlook with the Reading Pane off.
/safe:3  Both native and managed Component Object Model (COM) add-ins are turned off.
Please also try to open Outlook with /resetnavpane command to check if this issue is caused by corrupted Navigation Pane settings. To do this, press Windows key + R to open the Run command, type
    outlook.exe /resetnavpane and press Enter.
If above not working, please try to use the Inbox Repair Tool to scan and repair your Outlook data file errors to check the result. See:
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-in/outlook-help/repair-outlook-data-files-pst-and-ost-HA102749454.aspx?CTT=1
In addition, you can try to uninstall these updates to check if Outlook will work, so that we can determine if this issue is caused by released updates.

  • Outlook 2013 does not display category colors in list view

I use Outlook 2013 with a Microsoft Exchange email account.  In my Tasks folder, I use the Categories field to color-code my tasks.  In Outlook 2010 the color and category name showed up in list view, but in Outlook 2013 only the category name
is shown.  Is it possible to show the color too?

    hi Diane
I tried to reset the view and categories is still not showing. I use it so much in 2010 version on another computer and now I can't seem to live without it. I have been pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to manage categories in 2013 but it seems much
harder to use for some strange reason.
I would imagine that something like categories is much loved and much used and thus should work as before.
    Please help :)

  • Outlook 2013 does not send / receive mails but connected to Exchange server

    HI All,
Outlook 2013 displays connected message but when compose and send a mail, the message hangs for more than an hour. Yes if I restart the outlook, the message is sent.  Otherwise the message will lag for hours. Even I am not able to receive it.
The problem is not faced by OWA. Outlook Web App works perfectly. But Microsoft Outlook 2013 not working perfectly. Folks I need help to close the case with customer.
    Regards,
    AbuYasir

    Hi AbuYasir,
From your description, OWA works well, the issue is related to Outlook side. In your case, I recommend you use Outlook safe mode to determine whether the issue is related to add-ins. If the issue persists, please create a new profile to check the result.
Besides, make sure that you install the latest Outlook 2013 Service Pack.

  • Mail does not recognize email address for Address Book marked as "Company"

I have a bunch of Address Book entries with "Company" checked and no first or last name. After the SL upgrade, entering the name of the company into an email in Mail.app does not result in it recognizing the company as a contact, or using the saved email address. Oddly, if I edit the contact so that it has a first and last name, even if Company remains checked, Mail will come up with the correct address. Any explanation or work around for this?
I also noticed that all of such contacts, after the SL upgrade, no longer had the Company box checked, resulting in them all being listed as "No Name" -- but I fixed that by rechecking all of the boxes.

    Hi murrxx,
Based on my experience, it just cannot send to the un-recognized email address. The remaining recipients will recieve the email.
Please changing to OWA to verify whether all the mails cannot be sent.
If in OWA, just the un-recognized email address cannot be sent, it should be an issue on the Outlook Client side.
Please run Outlook under safe mode for testing.
Also try to re-create new profile to refresh the caches.
Is there NDR returned back to us when we cannot send emails to all?
If has, please post the details.
Please also collect some related event logs for the further troubleshooting.
    Thanks

  • Server does not recognize email address

I have both an iphone and an ipad until today I was able to send emails from both units using my household internet connection, today when I try to send an email from my ipad I get a pop-up stating server does not recognize the email address, but I can send emails from my iphone using the same internet connection. When I checked the settings both units have the same. Two days ago both units were updated.

Both devices are using the Home Network. My ISP is  Shaw in Canada. and they will only accept sent email from their subscriber households, for example if I try to send an email from my iphone via 3g it will not be recognized, but will be ok if sent using wi fi at home. I was able to send email prior to doing the last update.

  • After upgrading to Yosemite, Thunderbird does not recognize email addresses: "syntax error" in recipient address. Fix?

After upgrading to IOS Yosemite, Thunderbird will no longer send emails to the contacts in my history file that drops down when I "write" a new message. I continue to get a return response that there is a syntax error in the address field of the message although I have tried both my stored emails and manually typed email addresses. What has been changed and how do I recover the use of Thunderbird's great program?
By the way, how do I eliminate out of date email addresses from popping up and populating email responses rather than the most current ones that are in my contacts? I now have to type each one in separately as the default options that come up are many out of date.
Thanks much for your great work. Mozilla and Firefox are the best.

Did you find a solution to this issue?  My mail server is doing the same thing.  I've tried six migrations now, and have a couple of tickets open, but they all have issues.  I have worked around all of them except the mail server problem.
I did some more digging; the problem appears to be that on a migrated server, it leaves all of your mail store in the old location, doesn't move it, and then doesn't appear to upgrade spam-assassin properly.  The net effect is that the mail server gets the SMTP communication, tries to pass the message into spam assassin, and then it goes south.
I see errors like this littered in the logs:
Jul 31 13:53:10 mail org.amavis.amavisd[5927]: bayes: cannot open bayes databases /var/amavis/.spamassassin/bayes_* R/O: tie failed:
Jul 31 13:53:10 mail org.amavis.amavisd[5927]: bayes: cannot open bayes databases /var/amavis/.spamassassin/bayes_* R/O: tie failed: No such file or directory
    Do you see anything similar?

  • Can't sign up/in to ePrintCenter - either does not recognise email address or does at signup

Registered my new Photosmart 5510 and created a new HP account with my personal email address. Also ticked the option to create a snapfish account.
I assume it did this as I can log into snapfish.co.uk just fine with the credentials I supplied.
I then went ot eprintcenter and tried to login with the very same credentials and it claims invalid username and password.
I click on the snapfish icon to log in via that way and still same problem.
So, I click on forgot password - says please enter email address registered with an account - erm well I just did - see above.
So I tried creating a NEW account with the same email address and it says that email address is in use.
    Stuck.
Please help - signing up to an account should not be this hard!
    Graham

    Hello,
So what you can do is go to eprint center and click on sign in and when it goes to that log in page if you look at the bottom Where it says log in with a different Account
-select the snapfish ( should be a blue box with a black fish in the box itself
-Sign in with your snapfish log in and it should register the account as an eprint account and usable for you
    I am an HP employee.

    Hi,
According to the error message, outlook.com block your IP address. This may be caused by that your Exchange server was affected by some malware and send out many junk emails. Thus, I recommend you apply more Exchange server protection method:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb691338(v=exchg.141).aspx
And you can use Sender Filter agent to block messages:

Additionally, We understand the issue brings troubles and inconveniences to you. However, since your account is blocked by Outlook.com, We’d better post the issue on Outlook.com Forum for more help:

  • You must connect to Microsoft Exchange with your current profile before you can synchronize your folders with your outlook data file (.ost).... OWA works but outlook 2013 does not, exchange server 2013 on Server standard 2012

I have read a lot of articles and tried a lot of things, but I cannot get outlook to connect to my exchange server. This is a test environment, I have tried making my own certificate and signing it through my own CA to no avail. I have completely disabled
windows firewall and stopped the service. I can ping between the two just fine by name or IP. I've tried not using cached mode, creating new profiles in outlook etc. I tried setting my CertPrincipalName to my FQDN in exchange powershell.
I am not an expert with exchange at all, but I feel like this should work with little to no configuration, instead I've wasted days on this. Half of the articles I've read don't seem to have solutions, and the other half have solutions that are not working
    for me.
I can access OWA and send emails on a client computer through OWA with no problems.
I am running a test domain on the same network as my current exchange 2003/sbs 2003 active environment, I don't know why this would be an issue, but if it is I cannot figure out why. The only thing I can see holding me back right now is not having a signed
certificate from digicert etc, and an official internet domain set up, but I don't think either of those things matter in my situation.
Any help is greatly appreciated and I'll gladly provide any other information requested to solve this issue, thank you.

  • Lync 2013 click to call from Outlook 2013 does not have the option for Lync call

    Hello,
We are currently migrating from OCS 2007 r2 to Lync 2013. We are on office 365, but Lync is on premise. After migrating several users the option in Outlook to click to call someone only shows one option, which is to call the person's desk phone. Before there
was a dropdown where you could choose desk phone, mobile or Lync call. This issue isn't happening to everyone. We are using Office 2013 and Office 2010. Please let me know if you have suggestions or if you need more info.
Not sure if this is related, but some people have lost the option to view their contact's pictures.
    Thank you in advance,
    Mitch

    Hi,
Please see the image below, are we talking about this?
If a contact doesn't have a phone number, we surely can't call him.
You can try updating the Offline Address Book to see the result:
