  • Result & Overall Result of report is incorrect in Bex Analyser

    Hi Experts,
I  have designed the stock ageing report and individual values are coming fine in the report but overall result is showing wrong values with large difference. the report in the production system.
Can any one give me the solution.
    Regards,
    Satya

    Hi Satya
For the Result you have formula or CKF?
Try creating a CKF and use the option "Calculation After Aggregation" ..
You can try other options also to check which one is bringing correct information.
By the way, your cube is non-cumulative or snap-shot scenario based on exceotion aggregation?
Have a look at the below thread..this might be helpful

  • How to display Average, not Sum, in the "Overall Result" row of a report?

Every report I look at or execute that has an Overall Result row always shows a total(sum) of all the cells in the column.  I recently came across one that shows the average of all the cells in the column and after looking at the query in BEx Query Designer 7.0 and BEx Analyzer 7.0 I cannot seem to find out where to set this.  All of the Key Figures are listed as "Nothing Defined" in the Calculations tab which is exactly what they should be, but where can I set that yellow-highlighted Overall Result row to calculate an average, not a sum?
Example can be found in this picture:
    http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/6757/pic1yp.jpg
    Thanks for the help!

My issue was that I was setting my KF's to 'Calculate Result As: Average' within the Query View that I was editing but the change was not showing on my screen when I have that View opened within the Analyzer.  Infact, it still is showing totals.  But when I execute my Web Template that references this Query View, the graph does display the result row using Averages.  Seems to just be a visibility bug, but it is now working.
Thanks for the reminder about that property KP,
    Scott

  • Report overall result

we created calculated key figure on a key figure with exceptional aggregation as average with reference characteracterstic(interaction id).
if we see in reports it shows overall result wrong .it shows like 1 or 2 with hiearchy as Initial Layout.
If we have any report level exception aggregation document, kindly send the same.

  • Are highlight and shadow clipping must be avoided in any image?

Are highlight and shadow clipping must be avoided in any image?
Because in some cases, let's say, night scene, usually has many black pixels in the sky. Which perform nice contrast against the colorful signs.
Please check the attached image for reference(01.tif).
I know there's nothing in the sky, so I would like to keep all the pixels to be clipped. Is this right?
Some of my students says that other instructors told them to keep all the pixels in the histogram.
But I tell them it depands on how would you like your images to show. Am I correct?
As the attached image, it's impossible to pull the black pixels back to the histogram and I think it's acceptable in this case.
Let's see the 2nd case(02.tif), this image has highlight clipping in the clouds.
I like the way this image looks, which looks like a watercolor painting.
If I pull the white pixels back, the image will change a lot and I will get a very dark overall.
My question is, is it that important to keep your images without having highlight or shadow clipping?
This is not apply to any image, right???
    THANK YOU

For a more in depth discussion of clipping, it should be noted that clipping can occur in either the raw file or the rendered white balanced file. In the latter, it can take the form of luminosity clipping or saturation clipping. Saturation clipping occurs when the chosen color space is too small to accommodate saturated colors at a high luminance. In ACR, saturation clipping is indicated by a colored line or shoulder at the right of the histogram. The remedy is to use a larger color space. Luminosity clipping in ACR is indicated by a white line or shoulder at the right of the histogram and the remedy is to adjust exposure or use highlight recovery.
Examination of the OP's histogram shows a yellow line at the right, indicative of saturation clipping of the red and green channels. The OP could try a wider space such as ProPhotoRGB.
Here is an image of a a flower rendered into sRGB using the ACR defaults and the Adobe Standard camera profile. It appears overexposed and the yellows (actually reds and greens) are clipped as indicated by the yellow line at the right of the histogram.
The raw histogram (produced by Rawnalize) shows that the image is well exposed. The red and green channels are just short of clipping. The image appears overexposed with ACR, since ACR uses a baseline exposure offset for the Nikon D3.
However, when white balance is applied for this daylight exposure, the red channel is multiplied by approximately 2.21, and this should result in clipping of the red channel. This did not work exactly as expected with ACR, so I used Iris (a freeware astronomical program which allows extensive control of the conversion process) and examined the histogram of the resulting image in Photoshop. Note that the green channel is just short of clipping, as expected and that the red channel is clipped.
To avoid clipping with the white balance in ACR, it is necessary to use negative exposure to offset the red white balance multiplier. I chose to use a bit of highlight recovery as well to tone down the highlights while maintaining a pleasing value for the midtones. Here is the resulting preview with rendering into ProPhotoRGB.
In this case, I was able to avoid clipping. However, when the image is printed or viewed on a display with a limited gamut, some clipping would undoubtedly occur.

  • Overall result of structure

    Hi all,
I have two structures in my query----
one for char and one for keyfigure........
In rows i have char structure and one more char 0wbselment........
when i execute the report i want to display overall result for the structure..........rightnow its displaying for individual fields of structure and overall result is not possible.........
Edited by: Raj on Jul 27, 2009 1:49 PM

    Hello,
Select the individual char under struture and in properties goto the  calculation tab and for calculate result as select 'HIDE' except for the first char in the struture.
If your WBS_ELM is topmost char then simply hide result for all char in structure and show result only for WBS_ELM.

  • Issue with Overall result in Formula

    Hi all,
I have two keyfigures K1, K2 and a formula F1 in the report. (F1 = K1/ K2). And i have set the "Calculate result As" property of the keyfigure K2 as "Average". My report output looks like this,
    K1   |    K2   |   F1
    5     |    10    |    0.5
    10   |    15    |    0.6
    15   |   12.5  |   0.6               (Overall Result)
The overall result of the K1 and K2 are fine. But overallresult of F1 is incorrect. Its should be (15 / 12.5 = 1.2 ) .  But system is calculating as 15 / 25 = 0.6,  where 25 is got by summing K2 values.
    How to overcome this issue?
    Thanks in advance...

    Hi,
Average for two number N1 and N2 is (N1+N2)/2
here in your case looking at this formula system is calculating the right values.
    overallresult of F1Its should be ((15 / 12.5)/2 = 1.2 /2)   which is 0.6 . System is calculating as0.6 which ideally is correct.

  • Display of only overall Result

    Hi
Currently we  have  a ARreport is displayed following manner
    Customer          0- 30 Day    30 - 60 Days  E.t.c
    A                  1000          6000
    B                   230          10000
    Total              1230          16000
User Want to see the report in following manner
                     0 - 30 Days   30 - 60 Days
    total             1230          16000
when he click on 1230, he wants to view the customer who makes to 1230
For information - 0-30 days is a calculated Key figure
if we remove the customer from the row. the total is becoming zero.
    your help is appricated

    Hi,
    Try this:
Create a structure in rows also..from context menu>new selectino>drag and drop Material. Rename new selection as Material.
Now drag and drop Material into rows next to structure.
Right clcik on Rows--->display as Hierarchy.
Now execute the Query.you will see Material (Which is Structural element description)...and if you expand it,you will get individual material values...
But as for as i know you would get overall result only for Basic KeyFigures.
Just tryout and let me know.

  • Issue in the Overall Result

    Dear Experts
I need your help to solve my problem. I have one BEx report base on a cube and in which I use Key Figure calculated, but when I execute the query, I have on the Overall Result line the result of the formula and not the total result of all items. To illustrate, I have a column with an exchange rate calculated and another column with a Net Value calculated with this exchange rate. If I run the query by displaying all the items, the result is correct, but when I display only the total, instead of the sum of all items, I have the total recalculated with the formulas. How to solve this problem?
Thx in advance for your help!

what i understand from your comment is irrespective of whether your drill down via items in report
the calcuation ( exchange rate and netvalue should happen at each item level and aggregation .
    am i right???
if yes then you need to create a formula variable on sales doc number and another one on  sales item no.
definition of formula variable would be replacement path on corresponding infoobject mentioned above.
    and attribute value constant 1.
mulitply both the formula variable in your CKF  netvalue .
calculation would always happen at sales doc item level and then aggregation .
another option is to use exception aggregation .

  • URGENT : display only overall result

hi........my query to track the performance of dealer.
in the selection i've added customer creation date (user entry), customer group as Dealer, branch (user entry), division (user entry) & fiscal year varient.
    the structure is:
    in the row : bill-to-party
in the column :  last year sale |         this year sale |          last to last year sale |
if i run this qurery in the same workbook for different creation date then i just want to see the overall result for each date range.
how can i do this? pls help........

    Hi Priya,
Just remove Bill to party from Drill down, i mean no characterstics in drill down (along rows in your case) from all the sheets of workbook.
Only keep your 3 Key Figures along the cloumns.
It will just show you Overall Result. As you want overall result i dont think you need report displayed by Bill-to

  • Issue in displaying Overall Result of a formula variable

    Hi All,
I have a fields as Years of Sevice in my report. This is defined as char. I am bringing this in the report by creating a calculated key figure and then using a formula variable that is defined as the replacement path of the Years of SErvice.
Now when i execute the report , I dont see the Overall Result. I checked the porperties as Summation.
The overall result is displayed as X for all the columna
    Report has
Rows - Leaving Reason - defined as Char
Columns - Years of Service  >3
                    Years of Service 3-6
                    Years of Service 6-10
Can someone shed some light where i am going wrong?
    Regards,
    Harika.

You have said years of service is declared as a characteristic. Is it brought into the report as an formula variable through Calculated key figure ???

  • How to display the Overall result value at the top of work book

    Hi,
How can i display the value of  Overall result(Sum of the Total) column at the top of the work book in Text field.
    Thanks
    Sreadhar

Go to Query Global properties in Query designer and you can find a setting to show result rows on top. This setting will show overall result as first row in the report. But I don't think you can show it in Text field in WB.
