Pages '08 30-day Trial

Hi all,
I installed a Pages '08 30-day trial copy one week ago and today I was greeted with the message that my trial period is over (already!). Has this happened to anybody else and does anyone know how to try to fix the trial copy?

You should try to delete the iWork preference files in:
Your user folder/Library/Preferences
and
Your user folder/Library/Preferences/ByHost
Their names are "com.apple.iwork.plist", "com.apple.iwork.keynote.plist", "com.apple.iwork.pages.plist", "com.apple.iwork.numbers.plist", etc.

    Hi, I had the same problem and I found that you don't need a serial number anymore. Here is what I did:
    (1)I went to Applications fodder on my Mac. (You can navigate to the Application folder from 'New Finder Window.')
    (2) Deleted Pages (installed as part of the free  free trial version) from the Applications Folder. Also deleted 'IWorks' from the Applications folder.
    (3) Started AppStore.
    (4) Clicked on  Purchases.
    (5) Clicked on Pages.
    (6) Clicked Install.
    (4) repeated (5) and (6) for Numbers and Keynote

  • I downloaded the new Pages and Numbers through my app store but when I open my old documents, it still tells me my 30 day trial is over. How do I get the computer to automatically recognize the new applications?

    More information: I have a 3 year old MacBook and had been using "Microsoft for Mac" until last week when I took my MacBook in for some upgrades- including the operating system Lion. I have been unable to use the Word, Excel, etc. programs because they are not supported on the new operating system... and I already used my 30 day trial of iWork when we first purchased the computer. I decided to buy Pages and Numbers through the App Store icon. When I open the Pages and Numbers under my Applications, I can get them to work. However, when I open old documents saved on my computer, they go into the 'old' iWork messages of that my trial has expired. How do I get the computer to automatically recognize that I've purchased Pages and Numbers?

    You need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD or the Mac App Store. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user.
    Yvan Koenig has written an AppleScript that removes the files. You can find it on his box.com account in for_iWork'09 > other_iWork'09 items > uninstall iWork '09.zip.

    A very simple question that I cannot find an answer to. I have already purchased pages. I just signed up for the free 30 day trial of iWork but at the end of the trial all I want is Numbers how do I keep from being charged?

    You need to completely delete the demo version before reinstalling the paid version.

    The thirty day trial is free to allow you to assess the applications. After that you have to pay if you want to continue to use it - the suite is not free. You can purchase iWork online when you visit apple.com/iwork/trial and click Buy Now in the upper right of the page: this link now leads you to the Mac App Store when you can purchase the three programs individually.

  • Windows Server 2008 R2 180 Day Trial License

    Hi,
    I'm running the Windows 2008 R2 Trial on VMware Player.  As you can see from the link below:

    ...it says it's a 180 day evaluation.  But further down on the page there is no trial key.  All there is is a mention that it can be activated 5 times at 10 days per activation.  When it pops up saying that my copy is illegal, it takes me
    to a website selling Windows 7 licenses.
    I've read other articles on this and there doesn't seem to be an answer as to where the trial keys are, or what process you follow to get your 180 day evaluation?  Anyone have any ideas?

    You need to activate the product in 10 days. This 10 day activation period can be reset 5 times by using the
    rearm command. Once activated, the evaluation will run for 180 days. So you can evaluate this version for 240 days.
    (10 days + 5 * 10 days using rearm) + 180 days after activating = 240 days

    till you find out the cause of non-function you could use Explore Adobe desktop apps | Adobe Creative Cloud and load it down from there, because your 30 day trial ends without any consequences. Or use this way (I quote: Simply select Download from the Delivery Method pull-down menu on the Adobe Store page. And if necessary: When your purchase is complete, you’ll receive a product serial number via email that allows you to easily convert your trial version without reinstalling the software. Enter the serial number in the Software Setup screen within your trial product and follow the prompts to complete the process.)

  • Unable to access 14 day trial even though I've never had Playstation Plus

    I started my account years ago on a ps3. When I signed in on my ps4 for the first time, it would not let me have a 14 day ps+ trial. I have never purchased ps+, and until about a week ago, had never even been a member of it. I was able to get a 2 day trial after the other user on the console's (who was given a 14 day) trial ran out, but I've never been offered a 14 day.. My purchase history shows absolutely nothing ps+ until 9/29/2014 when I had the 2 day trial (which was AFTER I was unable to get the 14 day trial) so there's no reason the 14 day trial should be 'unavailable' to me.

    and seriously, I could not find ONE category relating to ps+ after following the 'customer service' link ON THE PAGE THAT HAS THE PS+
