Playbook doesn't power on and the battery is full....

Hi,
I have just bought a playbook couple days a go. My problem is : The battery is full.. I press the power off bottom and now i can't power on my playbook. The battery is full and there is not led power on ... Is dead....
Someone can help me to resolve this problem?

I think there are others who have helped people troubleshoot this sort of problem numerous times, so I hope they step in with better advice if mine is not quite right, but here goes:
1. Don't assume the battery is definitely full. There's no way to know for certain with just what the PlayBook OS shows you, and obviously if it's OFF, you don't know for sure.
2. Plug the thing into the charger, being careful to make sure the USB connector is not misaligned. It can be easy to plug the little thing in slightly crooked (or to jog it to one side without realizing), if you're not careful. If you have an after-market charger that plugs into the dedicated charging port, possibly use that instead.
3. Leave it sitting for an hour.
4. Now try to turn it on again. You're probably aware the little power button can be hard to press, but if you press it correctly you can at least feel it go down, or possibly hear a little click. Don't bother pressing it dozens of times in quick succession... it takes at least a few seconds to power on.
5. If all goes well, you'll see the red LED come on for a second, then it will go off again. It's always at this point that I think it isn't working.
6. If you did see the red LED, a few seconds later you should finally see the "BlackBerry PlayBook" logo show up onscreen and it will start to boot up.
7. If you saw nothing, I think there may be some weird magic you can do involving plugging it into the PC *after* you've done that one-hour charge with it off, and use the Desktop Manager software to bring it back to life. I've never done that, never read in detail any of the posts about it, and may have misread when I skimmed, but I thought I'd seen people describing how to do that. Consider searching the forum carefully.
I hope some of that helps... if not, have you tried contacting tech support?

Try a #1 SMC Reset and see the Apple links, if that doesn't work make a appointment for a evaluation.

If you have records that show that you've taken your MacBook Pro in for a year to fix the machine, I would escalate the problem to Apple Customer Relations - unfortunately I don't have a number for Spain.
It would only seem logical to me that if you've been trying to have the machine repaired during the time that the 'recall' was in effect that you should be eligible for a new logic board. But only customer relations will be able to make that call.
Good luck - take the issue as high up the food chain as you can and see what happens.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My iPod shows that my battery is receiving energy and that it is "charging," but it doesn't actually charge. The battery never increases; it only decreases. Even when I have it physically plugged in and charging, it loses battery whenever I am using an APP or anything. I'm thinking that the chip that receives the energy is damaged or worn out. Is there anyway to fix it without going to the store? My USB chords is fine. It charges other iPods fine. Including a second generation iPod which means my 4th generation iPod should not have an physical battery problem. Any suggestions? Thank you so much!

    - Try another cable. Some 5G iPods were shipped with Lightning cable that were either initially defective or failed after short use.
    - Try another charging source
    - Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

Take it back to the Apple Store for repair since it's still in warranty.

MacBook died. Went to plug it up and power it back on, and it made an odd beeping sound. It failed to power up, and the light stays constant and doesn't blink. i unplugged it to wait for the light to turn off, which it did after a few minutes, but when I plug it back up to try again, the light comes on and stays on, but it won't power back up. I've also tried holding down the power button for up to 30 seconds and it doesn't do anything. Any tips or hopefully answers to this issue?

Hi. You might have a memory problem. With one or more of your ram being bad. If this is so you can try removing the ram one at a time and try to restart . You can also switch ram slots to make sure ifs not the ram slot. Before you do this try a pram reset. Command/Option/P/R holding down these keys while starting up for three chimes. Also a SMC reset.http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295    http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202768

  • Macbook Pro shut down because the battery power ran out. Now I cannot start it and the battery will not charge. Only one green battery charge light lights up and blinks.

My Macbook Pro shut down because the battery power ran out. Now I cannot start it and the battery will not charge. Only one green battery charge light lights up and blinks on the left side. I am running Lion. How do I get this to charge and turn on? Thanks

If your model Macbook Pro is the calibrating model, let the battery calibrate.
If not, and are still under warrant or have Apple Care, give them a call and get a case number.  Otherwise, take the computer to an Apple store or an AASP.  Whichever is more convenient for you.

  • My iphone blanked out and will not cut on i tried holding the power button and the home button any advice?

my iphone blanked out and will not cut on i tried holding the power button and the home button any advice?

    Hey there mello12,
It sounds like you are not able to turn on your phone. You should use these steps in the following article to help resolve it, or setup service if needed:
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3281
Let it charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged. Learn more about charging iPhone and iPod touch, or iPad.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. Learn more aboutrestoring iOS software.
If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try to force the device into recovery mode, and then restore it.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Apple.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Take care,
    Sterling

  • Why does my iPad Mini Retina Display battery drain so quickly? I will be playing some 3d games and it says the battery is 90% but I'll turn off and turn  in back on it about 30 minutes and the battery is only 70%. Why is the reading so inaccurate?

I will be playing some 3d games and it says the battery is 90% but I'll turn off and turn  in back on it about 30 minutes and the battery is only 70%. Why is the reading so inaccurate? I understand that 3d games on high brightness will drain my battery quickly, but why doesn't it tell be how low it is to begin with? The other night it said it was around 35% and I turned it on in the morning and it was only 3%?

Sorry there are some typos above, but you should be able to figure out what I'm asking. Let me know if you have tha same problem, know how to fix it, or know if apple is aware of the problem and is adressing it in a future update.
