PO outbound IDOC - Issue with Unit of measure

Hi,
I am facing issue with unit of measure.
1) In the PO outbound idoc in segment E1EDP01, the unit is always converted into ISO code and sent. Is there any way to avoid it.
2) Now while changing unit to ISO code, it checks if it is preset in T006 table. Now in some of the cases like Unit FT3, there are no entries in T006 table, hence IDOC is going into error. Let me know how can this be resolved. Do I need to update T006 table if yes then how can I do it.
Thanks.
Regards,
Shahu

Sorry.. Posting it in ABAP Development forum.

Its always that while sending Units from SAP, it needs to be sent in ISO code and SAP always receives units of measure in the ISO unit format only.

  • Problem with Unit of measurement

    Hi,
I am having problem with Unit of measurement with different languages.
    Eg:
In SPRO, I am able to see the unit of measure T3 Description: (Trading unit).  in SAP 200 client .the logon language is EN(english).
But if I logon into same client(200) with different language DE(german) version, I am not able to see the description in German, the description field is blank.
Kindly give me a solution for this problem as it is very urgent.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Shankar

    Hi Aishwarya,
I can think of 2 possibilities:
    1. You need to verify passing the Target UoM with the ISO Code as well as the update flag in the 'X' structures.
    2. The material that you are trying to pass some UoM does not have the conversion maintained in the Material Master. (Base UoM --> Target UoM conversion in Material Master, contact Functional Consultant).
Also, if you can verify by performing the action manually and check if the Sales Order is getting created manually with the Target UoM .

  • Error with Unit of Measure 'CAR' ISO Code

    Hi gurus,
My client has EDI setup for POs for a vendor. Whenever they create a PO for a specific material with Ordering UoM as 'CAR' (carton), output is going into errors and no Idoc was generated. The error message refers to 'ME764' - "Not possible to determine ISO code for unit of measure CAR in item 00090". But, ISO code was perfectly defined for the UoM CAR (I checked in CUNI).  When debugged, I found that the UoM CAR has an internal format as 'KAR' and SAP standard function module 'UNIT_OF_MEASURE_SAP_TO_ISO' is looking for ISO code of 'KAR' and throwing this error message for 'CAR'. Have you guys ever faced similar problem and any solution for this behaviour? We use SAP ECC 6.

    hi
    go to CUNI
select ISO codes  give new entry for CAR
then save and come back in CUNI select the UOM then double click onur unit at right u will get field of ISO code give iso code here and save

  • Material Master MATMAS IDOC and base unit of measurement

    Hi
We are using SAP standard material master IDOC type MATMAS05 to trigger IDOC. Our material master is having base unit of measure as "G". We are not using ISO unit of measurement. But Material master IDOC, segment E1MARM is populating base unit of meaurement (MEINS) as "GRM".
Any idea why IDOC is picking ISO unit of measurement instead of material master base unit of measurement.
Any idea how to send base unit of measurememt as "G" instead of "GRM" in DOC segment.
    Thanks
    Nilesh

There are ISO codes for country keys, currency keys, units of measure and shipping instructions. According to SAP design guidelines, you should use ISO codes for an IDoc if they are available. When you set up the IDoc, the SAP codes have to be replaced by ISO codes.

Thats the way it works.  In any interfacie to or from  external sys. , it uses the ISO code from CUNI instead of the UOM .

  • Outbound idoc creation with MIGO

    Hello,
I need to create outbound idoc when the GR is created (MIGO).
I created one output type (ME) with the processing program RSNASTED and form routine ALE_PROCESSING. Unfortunately, the rsnasted does not work, as I can not create message type MBGMCR in BD64 (Model). MBGMCR belongs to BAPI.
Do you know the way how to proceed?

yes it is BAPI. sorry for the confusion.

  • Outbound Idoc issue

    Hi,
We have migrated from 4.6B to ECC 5.0. While posting an outbound idoc to a middleware, its failing in the middleware. This is because few segements of the basic type has been modified by SAP ( fields have been added ).
This was running properly in 4.6B. So basically this error is due to the additional fields which cannot be recognised by the middleware.
Now, if i need to send the version similar to that of 4.6B, without those additional fields, how do i go about it?
    Thanks,
    Raj.

    Hi Rajgopal,
use the latest version idoc type(basic type)for example for orders we have orders01,orders02,orders03,orders04,orders05,it's better to use the latest version.
    else
u have to extend the stanard idoc with those additonal fields and write the code in user exit to populate them.

  • Issue with Level-based measure at Year level

    Hello everyone,
I am facing weird issue while using OBIEE 11g level-based measure at the Year level. I am creating a trend analysis report that are displaying Expense Accounts dimension with 6 levels and 2 measures: Expense YTD, and Expense Full Year measures
The report has multiple rows with value "Others" in the 3rd level of the account dimension (Account Level 3) yet, they all have different IDs and associated with different parents (different Account Level 2 values)...
When i displaying the Expense YTD measure only results are fine and everything is perfect, when selecting Expense Full Year measure, only the first occurrence of the value "Others" in 3rd level column is displayed and non of the remaining records appears...
What makes my life worse is that i can't even see the log file of this query because an error occurs when trying to view the session log i.e. "No log file found"
Please help, i am about to start the UAT phase of the current project and i am running out of time..
    Thanks

  • LOIPRO01 outbound idoc issue

    Hi All,
When I release the production order, Idoc need to be send to external system.
I have extended LOIPRO01 idoc(for Production Order)and called RCCLORD program using SUBMIT in user exit include ZXCO1U01 for creation of IDoc and it is successfully dispatching to External system.
My issue is after releasing the production order(CO02) and sending the Idoc from R3 to external system port,I need to mark the radio button  'Sent to WM'.
SO I need to write the code based on the Idoc status is 03. But I am not getting the idoc number or EDIDC table values in my include.
Anybody faced similar kind of situation,is there any way of solving this, please let me know.
    Thanks in Advance....

  • File to IDOC - issue with partner profile

I have done File to IDOC scenario and tested it end to end successfully. For same have done all require configuration setting in R/3 like defining logical System and partner profile. And it sends new IDOC successfully in R/3 with status code 50 (IDoc added).
But when I create new logical system and partner profile in R/3 and when I use same logical system in my above mention scenario then my new generate IDOC in R/3 return status code 56 (EDI: Partner profile inbound not available). But same scenario work fine with my earlier partner profile. Here I have done all require changes at adapter level like adapter specific identification and same new logical system I have update in SLD with my business system Logical System Name.

    Hi Bhavesh,
    Thanks for your reply.
In control record, I checked with sender and receiver partner. In this sender partner is new partner profile which I have created with port details. Receiver partner has logical system name which I have mentioned in my SLD for my receiver business system. But in receiver partner don’t have any port details.
But still it has same problem.

  • Problem in Outbound Idoc Scenario with change pointers

    Hi All,
I have a requirement where i have to create an outbound scenario, whenever i create or change in transaction PAL1 (Create Sales Representative), an idoc should be triggered.
    i have created
    - ZBasic idoc type
    - ZSegments
And have assigned the ZBasic Idoc type to ZMessage type
Even I have maintained the fields to be triggered during change pointer in transaction BD52
Now my problem is, whenever i change a field in transaction PAL1 or create a new one, change pointer is not getting triggered via RBDMIDOC program.
Do we need to add an additional code to populate the Zsegments?
If so... can you send me the logic or Sample Code which fits my scenario?
    Thanks.

    Satish,
you cna check this badi HRALE00OUTBOUND_IDOC

  • Issue in unit of measure

    Hi,
Suppose I have a material whose base UOM is "SHT"  and order UOM"Kg".
The system converts the qty of material received in Order UoM as per the conversion factor maintained which may differ from actual qty in Order UoM charged by the supplier in his invoice. How can I solve this issue

    Hi Indraneel,
Please check on the Base UOM Decimal and Order Unit Decimal. You might need to change (increase decimal rounding)  the Decimal rounding for the Units using CUNI.
e.g. If you are maintaining a decimal rounding off 2 decimals, then the system converts and rounds off the qty. Try to increase the decimal rounding off (say, 4) of the UOM and see this problem gets solved.
or Please list out the complete scenario.
    Best regards
    Amit Bakshi

  • Create IDOC for alternative unit of measure

    Hello,
I need to send the alternative UoM via an IDOC. My problem is that i do not know how to manually send the UNIMA2 IDOC.
Like when i send MATMAS, i use BD10. Is there any program or transaction for sending UNIMA2?
    Thank you

The data is already contained in MATMAS03.
So no need to have another IDOC type.
