Poor Response from hp support team

I bought following product in August 2011 from Lahore, Pakisan:
Hp g6-1008tu 
Model # LQ439PA
[serial number removed for privacy]
 Since then i am having problem with laptop. Once HDD crashed which i got replaced. Then touch pad malfunctioned. I got it replaced as well. Now again after few months touch pad is causing severe problem. I fail to understand how a product can malfunction in such a short duration. The product is in waranty so its ok to get serviced but what will i do after waranty finishes? For a student its a big problem. I request you to please guide me and tell definitive solution for this. I will be grateful to you.
No one is helping me properly and the only thing now coming in mind is that neither I nor should i recommend anyone to buy hp product. This came just because  of poor response from hp.

    I'm not from the support team but if you are having issue this worked for me
    In the device manager locate the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC under sound, game and video controller.
    Right click and select uninstall.
    Restart your computer and open up the device manager again.
    In the same spot under sound, game and video controller where the IDT CODEC used to be listed there will be something else listed.
    Right click on that and select "scan for hardware changes" this will reinstall the IDT CODEC but I believe it is the updated driver which is actually compatible.
    It has been working for me so far, but I will keep you updated if it fails again. For now  I would try that!! good luck

  • How to get a response from the support group ?

    I`ve been trying to get help to actually download Adobe elements.
    When I put in my details for purchase - the system says "system error". I phoned the support group and was told that the charge on my card had gone through and they were waiting for a response from me.
    I queried "what response"and since then - nothing !
    Not happy.... and this has now been going on two days and multiple entries to customer care....
    I`m open to ideas - either I can download it, or cancel the transaction.

    They took 5 hours to respond to the "chat" by which time I`d gone to do something else.
    I`ll keep trying them.

  • How to get a response from Adobe Support

    Greetings
    I purchased an upgrade to Photoshop Elements 6.0 for Mac from the Adobe website on August 1st, and the serial number that was sent to me does not work.  I have a registered copy of PSE 3.0, so I assume that an upgrade should be possible, but when I try to enter the serial number, I get a "serial number is not valid" error. I have worked through the various FAQs, to no effect.  So on August 6th I lodged a support case, using the online form.  10 days have now elapsed, with no response from Adobe: the status of the case is "Open - Pending Adobe Response".  Does anyone have any suggestions on how I might either get the issued serial number to work, or induce Adobe to acknowledge the problem?

    As an "Expert" you should be able to answer this. I downloaded the trial version of PE6, determined that I could use it, uninstalled it, and bought a new copy from our local dealer (like to buy local). Tried to installed that no less than five times and have never been able to do so. Most of the time the support files will install but the actual app fails to install. One time the install appeared to work, but clicking on the icon or the actual program in Applications resulted in nothing, nada, no response at all. Uninstalled after each attempt. Reinstalled the trial copy and tried to enter the actual serial number off the bought package, but we all know that will NEVER work. (Good joke, Adobe) Uninstalled the trial yet again. Have done restarts, made sure all other program were closed, emptied the trash, made a cup of tea, left the office, did everytihing I can think of to try and coax this ridulous piece of software to properly install. I know it works because the trial version worked fine (before it expired).
    I thought, well Adobe Support should be able to clear this up. Perhaps if I could ever actually get someone on the phone that might be the case, although many, many web discussion seem to suggest that would not happen. I have spent over four hours this week listening to the same three songs on the support line and NEVER ONCE had a live person pick up the phone.
    How do I get this abomination to work properly? The helpful tips that might be contained on this page do no good if one can not install and run the program.

    I recently purchased from Adobe a licence to run Adobe CC from my home computer- the nice man in Mumbai (or somewhere!!) said i would be sent (within the hour!!) an activation code number to load on my Mac to operate the software  — I'm still waiting . . . . .
    I've tried calling using their 0508 number (from New Zealand) but get no response from the extension I'm asked to follow i.e. User support (even after waiting over an hour on hold!!!)

    I would like to inform you that CC is a subscription based service. So, it does not required any Activation code or licence number if its purchased directly from Adobe.
    1) You need to login [ https://creative.adobe.com/ ]
    2) Sign in with your Adobe ID and Password
    3) Click on Download centre
    If it does not help then please contact Adobe customer support.

  • Xperia z1, too many problems and poor response from sony.

    I thought Xperia z1 is best has sony made ever in every department but it's not. I'm very disappointed with sony's neglected response. I contacted sony 2 times but there is no response. also in support forum can't to get response sometimes. I agree with it is a best camera, yep in day light it's a best but in low light it's worse. z1 can't beat even Xperia c mid range phone. then why sony called z1 is a flagship. on white paper everything is good but practicaly it's not. I don't know what is the in z1 series. it freezes and screen getting black after that even restart button also didn't work sometimes,, 2) network issue 3) lowlight photography is worse compare to other high end smartphones.
    performance is good but need new software update for optimisation.. I was very happy when I bought but now I'm dossapointed with sony neglect response. battery drains very fast also.

  • Getting questionable responses from BC support

    This is more of a general comment on my experiences recently with BC support staff. With no clear area to actually give feedback and know it is being listen too I thought to post it here. Has anyone else noticed in the last 6 months how poor the level of knowledge the newer BC support staff have of the system? I honestly think it is at an all time low. There are some individuals that really know thier stuff and I am sure you all have encountered them as well, but I am feeling the percentage really has swung to the less capable staff now responding to issues.
    Without needing to go into detail about the issues I have had (even in the last 20min) I honestly think many of these people have never used BC before in any depth and it is real shame when we have to be telling them how the system works just so to get past the initial request/question. I am finding it is either not comprehending the request/question due to poor system knowledge and or responding without clearly reading the request/question given in the first place. I really do try all I can to review the knowledge base and search the forums first which just adds to my personal frustration at the degradation that I see is occurring. I just am begining to not trust in the use of the BC support at the moment and turn more often to making calls to fellow partners fist before going down this support path.
    Maybe it is just me but if anyone else is noticing the same thing then I would urge you to let BC know somehow.
    I like BC and I have invested a lot of time and money into integrating the system as an integral part of my business package over the years. It just seems Adobe dropped the ball pretty bad when it took over BC and is still floundering around with it.

    Oh I am certainly committed to the system for the future but yes it is painful.
    After jumping on live chat again last night I was told nothing would be happening until hopefully today because all staff have the day off for Easter, but it would hopefully be addressed. Does not explain the week delay.
    For any interested my very simple an direct issue relates to simply closing a site. Once an invoice has been issued to a client through BC a site cannot be deleted from the Partner Portal and returns an error requiring me to contact support. In the meantime the system continues to send emails requesting payment which my client is rather getting annoyed about. This particular issue has always existed and is problematic to Yearly Subscriptions. Obviously if it was a monthly subscription they pay out the month and close the site closer to the end of the month. As we all know clients are not always forthcoming with their intentions until the last moment so once again I am stuck with this problem I cannot control. In the meantime clearly an inexperienced staff member simply gave me the cookie cutter approach and said "do this..." and clearly had not even read what I had written outlining the problem from the onset. Now no responses for a week (2 spats on chat) and the ticket is still open and the site is still running in suspension.
    Above outlines just one of many very very very simple requirements that get increasingly frustrated. I just should not be so, hence why I urge others to somehow let BC know if they are getting the same problems. So as Michael said "It's amazing what poor support can do to your attitude".
    I look forward to the day this sort of thing is bygone but it must be resolved very very quickly or someone else will see the issues and build a better system. BC offers cost effective and unique opportunities for clients virtually unseen elsewhere in hosted CMS's but it did not take Adobe to think of this themselves. If they are not careful someone else will step in lap up the frustrated Partners with a improved environment.

  • Illustrator crashes on startup and little help from Adobe support team

    Hello everyone,
    I would like to share here my frustation trying to install Illustrator on a Windows XP machine and the poor support I got from Adobe.
    After download and installing, the application can be launched, splash screen comes, then the main window, and then it crashes with the message "Adobe illustrator CS5 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience".
    I opened a ticket on the customer support page with detailed information on the error, including the error log. Error signature was:
    "AppName: illustrator.exe AppVer: 15.0.0.399 ModName: sccore.dll
    ModVer: 4.1.23.7573 Offset: 0001b2b6"
    The answer to my ticket was given 10 days (!) later was:

    Which drives to a big page full of various symptoms and solutions in which I am supposed to dig in order to solve the problem myself.
    If you encountered such crash at launching Illustrator and found a solution, I would be very thankful that you give me some hints.

    I've been having a similar problem recently.  Purchased CS5 Web Premium upgrade last month, loaded it, worked with AI a number of times, then all of a sudden out of the blue, I have the same problem as described above.  Message is Adobe Illustrator CS5 has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We ar sorry for the inconvenience.
    The little window that displays this problem  has two options: Send error report or don't send.  Here is what is odd: If I choose to ignore the window altogether and not choose either option, I am able to do things in Illustrator.  I can open a file, select an object, change it, save the file...  All with this annoying window floating in front of everything.
    I figured something had gone corrupt so I uninstalled the entire CS5 suite, reinstalled the entire suite.  Guess what... same problem.  Very frustrating.  If it is a fonts problem, my question would be why is only Adobe Illustrator having a problem with it and not the CS5 suite components?
    Any insights would be most appreciated...

  • Apple ID disabled, no response from Apple support for 5 days...

    My itunes account was hacked and drained by "Kingdom Conquest" last week.  I sent an email and got no response, even though the support form says I'll get one within 24 hours.  I called apple support and was transferred back and forth before someone finally said they could help, and the said they had to disable my accont for 2 days as part of the refund process.
    It's been a lot longer than 2 days, now, and I still get an error saying "your apple id has been disabled" every time i try to access itunes.  I've tried resetting my password numerous times.   I've tried calling apple again and everyone just keeps telling me to email support, as itunes apparently doesnt offer phone support (???).  The last person i spoke to could barely speak english, which just added to the aggravation.
    Why am i being punished for Apples horrible security?  Re-enable my **** account or transfer my past purchases to a new one!  This is ridiculous!

    I also sent a support webform because 79,99 euro's worth of Pokerchips were bought by someone using my Apple ID.. I sent it 2,5 days ago, but still no reply.. My Apple ID is also disabled, but I managed to reset it and enter a new password. If Apple does not reply by tomorrow morning (GMT+2) I think I will send them an email. I hoped the Apple support would be somewhat faster than this..

    Since weeks (or even months) I am not able to start my cc photoshop.

    Actually, you can talk to them.  Just not quite how you would expect to.  ( I JUST got off the phone with them myself )
    Call the main sales line at 1-800-585-0774 ( I know, it makes no sense since it's a sales line, but bear with me ) and listen to the options.  They'll tell you the sales folks won't be able to help you with support related issues, but keep listening.  You'll hear the options given that will allow you to talk to the support folks.
    When I called there was about a twenty minute wait, but they'll allow you to input a callback number and your name so you don't have to sit on the line the whole time.
    I got the call and worked with them to resolve my account issue.  ( Which ended up being totally my fault )
