Possible to communicate to server when user terminates an app?

Hi,
We have a location based messaging app which utilizes CoreLocation updates. When the app goes into background state, we use significant location changes.
We mark users as 'online' and 'offline'. We are trying to alert our server that a user is 'offline' when they terminate our app, however, we have been unable to find a suitable solution when users terminate the app by double clicking on ios home screen and terminating.
We had thought to resolve the issue with a timeout (if user doesn't send location data within a certain time frame) but this is not working as expected because when the user hides the application on device (push it into background execution) it will be unable to send updates to the network if user doesn't move to a new cell tower using significantlocationchanges.
Any thoughts on this?

Are you talking about Windows close X. If yes, then to my knowledge there is nothing in OA Framework to handle it. You can check if it can be handled using javascripts.

Forward mail to other SMTP server when user is unknown

Hi There,
At this point we are migrating our mailserver from groupwise to Exchange 2007 and at the same point we are connection the new domain in the forrest from a other school. All goes well but know there is a small issue that we have to fix. The Exchange server from the other school send's all message's for @grundel.nl to our new exchange server but there aren't users. There are two sollutions to our problem (I think) but I need to know what exchange can do for me.
1- Our mail goes to the new exchangeserver and when there is a user that the server doesn't know he forwards the mail to our Groupwise server (through SMTP). Is this possible and how can I configure it?
2- The mailserver from the other school sends the mail to Our Groupwise server direct. This is difficult because we are in one forrest and exchange see's that the grundel.nl is configured in sites and servers. Can Exchange bet configured to send mail for our domain to a SMTP server instead of our exchnage server and how can I configure that?
Sollution 1 would be the best so we gen migrate a bit easier.

and if i am having "recipient not found" for some users ?
i have the same situation and mostly all mail goes normally, except for some users.
It smtp configuration for user is [email protected] but if i send mail to [email protected] (the same site, same server, but i have smart host value for this domain ) - mail deliver to user exchange mailbox locally ([email protected]) and not forwarded
to another host.
Another users goes normally. how can i resolve this problem ?

IOS6 upgrade issue. error message "could not sign in could not communicate with server when attempting to log in with apple id and password. Any ideas?

To finish the upgrade setup, can't get past the screen where you need to log in with your apple id and password. Error message appears "could not sign in" "Could not communicate with the server." Tried a reboot, but that didn't work or get us anywhere either.

Go to Settings then down to Facebook then select account then delete account and select remove info and re enter your user name and password and then it will work again

External users can communicate web server, Internal users can't communicate

This Babu, I have Cisco - 1941 and ASA 5510, ISP was terminated on Router point ot point connectivity(10.10.10.0/30). Router isdie ip is Public ip
(49.49.49.1/28), firewall inside ip is 49.49.49.2 and i have done nating in firewall with private ip 192.168.1.0/24.
we have web server, this is also connected in Intranet, this internal ip was 192.168.1.13 nat with publi ip 49.49.49.13.
In this scenario all external users can communicate with web server ie www.example.com. but internal users can't communicate with www.example.com
All internal user able to ping the web server with 192.168.1.13 successfully and get the internet also.
Please help me, what is the problem...

my user tried the following :
- went to http://oraclepartnernetwork.oracle.com/
- at top of the page, click on the "Register / Sign In" link.
- entered user name [email protected], and password (he tried also with a reset system generated password)
- got "Invalid Login" Error
so it seems the issue is not with beehive online, but with SSO to start with...
my other sun.com users have the same issue. Could it be a restriction on Sun.com domain ?
I understand now my issue is not with beehive online, so don't hesitate to redirect me to the appropriate support team if necessary.

My ipod is acting on its own. It goes to voice command on its own and it will go to the home screen and possibly the search screen even when im in an app. also the multitasking will be brought up. and it turns itself on. what do i do to fix this.

i also tried the reset by holding the lock and the home button but it didnt seem to fix it. and this started after i let a friend borrow it for a night. and its not jail broke.

Do you have antiVirus installed on the sharepoint servers?
These folders may have to be excluded from antivirus scanning when you use file-level antivirus software in SharePoint. If these folders are not excluded, you may see unexpected behavior. For example, you may receive "access denied" error messages when files
are uploaded.
Please follow this KB and exclude the folders from Scanning.

Form 11g - Is is possible to block specific forms access when user directly type form name in url ?

We have XXF000.fmb, XXF001.fmb , XXF002.fmb , XXF003.fmb in 6i.
For migration to 11g , we recompile these forms and move fmx to 11g form server under form_path.
In 6i , we login for validation & responsibilities control in XXF000, So we can use account info to verify if user have priviledge to access XXF001, XXF002 and XXF003.
But in 11g , we can access these forms vial url request , such as : http://<host>:<port>/forms/frmservlet?form=XXF000 ; http://<host>:<port>/forms/frmservlet?form=XXF001 ... etc
These may cause some unexpected access and operations in functions.
Is is possible to block specific forms access when user directly type form name in url ?

You need to alter your formsweb.cfg file, either directly or through the Fusion web interface. You need to set the following parameters:

Not Using Index on File Server When Accessing User Files Directly on Server

It appears to me that on a server with an indexed network share (Desktop Experience and Search Indexing roles/features installed), if you access the share directly on the server using its drive path, you can search the folders using the index, which
is much faster and supports finding words inside of the files in seconds). However, if you access the same shared folder via its network path from the server itself, the server ignores the index. I have this experience/problem across all shared folders on
the Windows 2012 R2 Server. Details and my most specific goal follows.
In addition to a laptop, I frequently work directly on a Windows Server 2012 R2 computer. We have Redirected Folders set up on DFS (for failover redundancy) so that my Documents folder is in:
\\network\redirections\user\documents. This all works fine on Windows 7 and 8 client computers connected to the network via Offline Files.
The problem is on the server itself. The server has Desktop Experience enabled and Windows Search is installed. If I navigate manually through the DFS root folder to my documents folder, I can search and it properly uses the index. This proves the location
is properly indexed. However, if I access the folders through the official "Documents" folder from the Folder Redirection (a network share pointing to the same server computer I'm working on), it performs an un-indexed search (slow and ignores file
contents, but does find files eventually if the search term is in their filename). Is there a way to force the server to use the indexed search on the Redirected Folders (my Documents folder in particular) when working on that server when logged in locally
on that server?
I suspect a workaround would be to go into the Registry and manually change the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders to point to the local DFS folder instead of the network share name, but at least one problem
with this is then if I save files with links to other files (e.g., a linked Excel table in a PowerPoint, a mail merge to Access database in Word, etc.) on the server computer, those links will point to d:\DFSroot\... (a physical drive on the computer) instead
of \\network\redirections\user\... (a universally accessible network path) and so none of the other computers will be able to find the linked files, defeating one of the
major benefits of using Redirected Folders.
I can't believe that I need to choose between indexed searching and proper path names in saved files. Surely there is a way to use an indexed search on the server itself?
If you need any more info to help me troubleshoot, please let me know.

Hi Colin,
It seems that we can not use indexed search on DFS shares. Windows Search works well when users directly access the server. That is, the server is not made available through Distributed File System (DFS).

I also used the Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer to test RPC/HTTP connectivity.
The RPC/HTTP test completed successfully.
    Validating the certificate name.
    Certificate name validation failed.
     Host name company.net doesn't match any name found on the server certificate CN=AMAZONA-U59HG9G.
Testing SSL mutual authentication with the RPC proxy server.
    The test passed with some warnings encountered.
The certificate common name company.net doesn't match the mutual authentication string provided mail.company.net; however, a match was found in the subject alternative name extension.

HT1430 I am getting a message asking me to enter my Facebook password in the Settings. However, when I enter it, I get the message "unable to communicate with server." It's driving me crazy!

I can't connect with the Facebook server. When I tried to connect with Facebook when playing Candy Crush, I got the message to "enter password for "" in Settings. When I go to Settings, it says "There was a problem accessing your account. Please reenter the password for [my name]." Then, when I type in my password, I get the message "unable to communicate with server."
I tried deleting my Facebook account and then reinstalling it, but the problem continues. Any ideas?

What I did was that I restarted that Ipad of mine and voila!

this configuration is only supported on a midtier - there is a work around for a standalone install, nevertheless I would not recommend this for production ..
if this is NOT a production enviroment - I can try to get you the information .

adding users who are a part of the Domain. In your case you are trying to add users who are not a part of the domain, meaning, you are trying to create users only specific to Reporting Services, am I right?
But Reporting Services either relies on AD to authenticate the users, or you can create a custom-authentication extension to authenticate the users.
In your case, you might need use a custom security extension, and use that to create/delete/modify users. Check the Forms authentication Sample here:
