Preventive Maintenance Schedule Feature available?

Hello,
we want to use CRM on demand as a our service management system. I'm trying to find out if it is possible to create scheduled service requests for assets. I.e. Asset 1 gets a service request created automatically every 3 months, Asset 2 gets one every 6 months, etc.
Anybody aware of such a feature or add-on?
Thanks
Tobias

Hello Tobias
I don't think this type of facility is available as of now. But It can be done by developing a webservice application

  • Regular Preventive Maintenance schedule for xsan volume ??

    hi
Is there is any weekly , monthly regular Preventive Maintenance schedule which we should perform for xsan volume like defragment , some commands etc
What are the steps for regular Maintenance for xsan ,servers which apple recommends ?
    thanks

    Hi,
I do not do such maintainance. However every night a cvfsck -nv is run. This is a readonly file system check. If in the result of this a line exist which says:
    Filesystem would have been modified
Then a real filesystem check is needed.
A defrag is only performed on files, not on empty space. It takes very very long, and I do not expect much of it. So I do not do this.
    Hope this helps,

  • Preventive Maintenance Schedule

    Hi,
The issue is monthly as well yearly function wise preventive maintenance schedule is not generating automatically, Actually we uploaded the data in SAP for specific function wise as per monthly schedule, But right now we are not getting the schedule wise calls.
Production person put the entries as manually through the t-code IW38,
So, Where will be the mistake or any configuration setting is missing?
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Althaf

    Hi,
Hope your maintenace plan, task list and items within plan are in place. Also config is in place with no range, call object type as maintenace order,pm order type you have mentioned in plan etc.
If all of above are in place then check for following:
    1. Check scheduling parameters for both monthly and yearly frequency jobs.Check scheduling period for monthly job it should be greeater than 1 month..suggest to put 365 days.
2.For yearly jobs your scheduling period should be greater than year, may be you can put 2-5 years so that system can do scheduling on this basis.
3.Possibly you can restart scheduling thr IP10.You can check scheduled calls by pressing schedule overview list.
4.You can lso check scheduling overview and do simulation through IP19.Give period in furture for plans and select maint plan simulation in start mode of maint scheduling overview.
5.If you are able to see calls in scheduling overview then there is a problem in your deadline monitoring. In IP30 check parameters Interval of call objects and it should be nearer to scheduling period you mentioned in IP19.You can crete two different variants for monthly and yearly jobs.So you will able to maintain to differnt IP30 parameters for them.
Please note unless you give detailed and exact problem we will not able to provide solution.
People will generally avoid to elaborate like above. So please try to limit and specific to your problem.

  • Consider preventive maintenance schedule into PP order capacity planning

    Hi PP experts,
My client's requirement is that when a preventive maintenance order is created in PM module for a particular work center (used in production) on a given date, NO production order (which is processed on that work center) should get released or confirmed. In other words, the capacity should be blocked at all for the subject work center.
Could you please guide how to make this effective?
We are using discrete manufacturing with capacity planning. At the time of PP order release, system shows capacity situation so as to decide whether go-ahead even with overloaded capacity.
    Regards,
    HKV...

First, you should assign the PP work center in the location tab of the PM equipment which refers this workcenter.
Secondly you should enter the sytem condition in the task list of the equipment.
During preventive schedule  the work center  will be reserved by PM orders for maintenance and this can be seen from capacity planning from PP side.

  • Hardware Preventive Maintenance Schedule

I'm trying to find a recommended schedule for Sun Server maintanence. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

    Dear Makarand Gurjar
The purpose of the report is, every month begining maintenance person will give the list of equipment scheduled for preventive maintenance to production department.  If that list has planned time for preventive maintenance, it will be very useful for them to release the equipment for preventive and plan the production accordingly.  In IW38 / IW39, we will get only the equipment for which preventive maintenance order is created.  Say for Eg. If an equipment is scheduled for every month preventive maintenance and the scheduled date is 25th of every month and call horizan is 90%, then the order will be released only on 22nd.  If we take the report on 1st of the month it will not come.
In IP24 we can get all the equipment schedule for that month, but in the planned time is not there .

  • Maintenance Schedule Approval

    Hi Experts
There is a particular requirement at my client side wherein a preventive maintenance schedule has to be approved by maintenance incharge. How can this be mapped into system?
I tried exploring user status for maintenance plan. In SPRO maintenance plan is being shown as object type for user status, but for some reasons which i couldnt figure out, it (User Status) wasnt assigned to the maintenance plan.
Please share if somebody has worked upon such requirement before.
    Regards
    Ruhail

    Hi Joey and Balachandar
    Thanks for the response.
In some industries it is a common practise that maintenance supervisors prepare the preventive schedules and thereafter it is sent to maintenance head of department (Incharge) for approval. Its more or less a formality but it has to be carried out.
In SAP if approval is sought after scheduling there is no way that it can be changed (Ofcourse schedule schedule can be restarted but calls with status 'called' remain as so). And moreover if it is rejected then it will lead to creation of junk data in the system.
Maintenance schedules are as such prepared in Excel and approval in form of signature is sought from deptt head.
Thats why i was interested in knowing if somebody has come across such a requirement before and what could be possible solution be?

  • Preventive maintenance and calibration process flow

    Hi Experts,
I am totally new to Plant Maintenance. My client has the below requirements.
    1) Machine preventive maintenance schedule.(monthly/yearly)
    2) Measuring instruments Calibration.
    3) Maintenece schedules of PRT/Test equipment.
How to manage all the above requirements. Would be of great help if expalined the entire process flow in detail.

  • Scheduled date in preventive maintenance

    Hello ,
A preventive maintenance order has been created by a maintenance plan using strategy (maintenance package) : task list has 3 operations , each has 1 hour of work duration.
In the order, at operation level , in scheduled date , i do not have 1h of work duration but 1h06.
For 1rst operation :"earliest scheduled start = 07:00:00" and "earliest scheduled finish = 08:06:00"
    2nd operation : "earliest scheduled start = 08:06:00" and "earliest scheduled finish = 09:12:00"
    3rd  operation : "earliest scheduled start = 09:12:00" and "earliest scheduled finish = 10:18:00"
I checked work center, task list, ... but i can not see where it comes from....
    Someone has an idea?
    Thanks,
    Pete

    hi
While defining the capacity for the workcenter ,i think you have defined the Length of the break ,system will also consider the same for scheduling .kindly check .which is be distributed evenly on the eintire working works
supoose you have defined the capacity starts from 8.00 AM and ends on 17:00 hrs with 100% utilization ,length of the break is 1:00 hr
then effective operating time is 8:00 hrs only remaining 1 hour will be distributed to the total available hours .Hence if you put 1 hr in the operation system will calculate the strat time as 8:00 AM and end time as 9:07:30 ie ( 1 hr/8 hrs =7.5min for each hour)

  • Doubt in Scheduling of performance based preventive maintenance

    Dear Experts ,
This is with respect to scheduling of performance based preventive maintenance.
I will put my doubt in example so that it will be easy for you to understand.
I want to perform a preventive maintenance for every 100 litres of fuel consumption.
annual estimate is 7200 litres , that means 5 litres a day.
so as per plan , for every day 5 days , maintenance needs to be performed.
same will be appear after scheduling in ip10 also.
While updating in the measuring document , I know that , if 100 litres is updated before due date , then order will be generated in the current date itself.
I just want to know how system responds , if 100 litres consumption takes more than 5 days , will the system generates order as per schedule date or will it wait to complete for 100 litres consumption ??
    Regards
    Keerthan Kumar

    Greetings Keerthan,
    That depends on:
    1) The frequency that you input Measurement Documents in
    2) Your Call Horizon on the Maintenance Plans
    3) Your Scheduling Period in your IP30 Deadline Monitoring variant
Generally, SAP will adjust the schedule based on the Measurement Documents entered for the counter (1) to account for readings (usage) which are higher or lower than estimated. However, it will NOT reschedule any Orders already called. So to make sure the dates are usually adjusted to your usage, you want frequently input MDs, a high Call Horizon and a short Scheduling Period.
SAP will determine a scheduled due date for the Order based on the Annual Estimate and the readings. So, if the due date is in 5 days and you are on a call horizon of 100% and a Scheduling period of 3 days, for example:
    a) if you do not input Measurement Documents from Day 0 onwards, the Order will be generated due for Day 5 when you run the IP30 on Day 2
    b) if you input a Measuring Document on Day 1 indicating that less than estimated or no fuel was used, the due date and call date may be pushed into the future and the Order will be generated after Day 2.
    c) if you input the MD after Day 2, this Order will already have been called and will not be rescheduled, but subsequent calls might.

  • Preventive Maintenance Order is not releasing as per scheduled Planning in Counter Based Plan

    Hi Experts
    In The below schenario
There is a  counter based maintenance plan. of strategy 100 km,200 km,...1800 km..
Operaton1,  Operation2,... Operation3... defined in maintenance package for 100 km, 200 km,.... respectively.
Now issue is that system is releasing order as per sequence of scheduled planing & not according to schedule of current counter reading of counter.
case:  At 200km order 1 is released with operation1 only, logicaly system should release order with operation1, & operation2
same like that at 300 km, system has released order with op1 & op2, logicaly system should release order with operation1, & operation3 as per strategy defined in maintenance plan.
In the present condition, what we have to do to get the desired result like for next counter reading of 400 KM system should release order with op1, & op4.
    Best Regards
    Pravin Gautam

1st order is getting generated by 100 KM. While doing Preventive Maintenance, vehicle will not have any movements so that counter reading at the completion should as same as 100 KM.
I am not clear how & why you entered 200 KM for completion of PM order.
Also, if you complete the 1st Preventive Maintenance at 200 KM, from there only system should calculate the next order. Its not Time based as this will come automatically with predefined frequency. Your plan is Performance based & system will act according to the completion of previous Preventive Maintenance.
I don't find any reason to change behavior which is correct. I am not convinced with the development which is giving wrong details to the business.

  • Deadline monitoring in preventive maintenance plan scheduling

    Dear Experts,
we are having only single cycle time based & performance based preventive maintenance plans. The individual plans are weekly, monthly or based on specific counter readings. Now i want to schedule it automatically through IP30. since there are plans with different units like days or hours how can i schedule it through IP30? is it possible to run separate IP30 for counter based single cycle plans? Is it ok if I run the program on every midnight? I am confused on the scheduling through IP30. please give me the clarity...Please do the needful.
    Thanks & best regards,
    Praveen

    Praveen,
Yes you can run IP30 with single cycle plans.
As IP30 can run for many hours (dependent upon number of plans) it is best to schedule the IP30 job at a time when there are fewest users on-line e.g. midnight on Saturday or Sunday. The timing is very much dependent upon your organisation.
[Here|http://www.sapfans.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=316910] is some good background info.
It should be someones responsibility in your organisation to review the scheduling log after every IP30 run

  • Automatically upgrade any superseded versions of this application not auto installing - Status always waiting for next maintenance schedule

    Hello,
I'm trying to deploy an application to a user group with the option checked for "Automatically upgrade any superseded versions of this application" but it never auto installs.
    - The application is set to install to system whether the user is logged on or off.
    - We do have user affinity, therefore the user does have a one or more primary devices setup.
    - If I run the install manually, it will superseded and install the new application and uninstall the old applications.
    - The estimated installtion time minutes is set to 0
    - The maxmimum allowed run time is set to 120 minutes.
    We're on version SCCM 2012 SP1.
My assumption of how it should work
If the user is logged in or NOT and it's during the maintenance window, it should auto install the application. Maybe I'm wrong.
    Here's the scenario.
User JohnDoe has application Viewer 1.0 installed on his machine.  He installed this app via the SCCM application catalog.   We now need to deploy Viewer 2.0 of this application.   I want to ensure when it's deployed it replaces Viewer 1.0 hence
the reason to check the "auto upgrade.."check box.
Here's what happens. In software center, it will pre-downlaod the software and then set the status to "Waiting for next maintenance schedule".  The problem is that the status stays like this forever.   We do have maintenance windows set
on the device collection that JohnDoe's primary device is part of.  Here are our maintenance windows.
    - Daily - 9PM to 5AM = 8 hours
    - Weekly - Saturday - 12:00AM to 12:00 = 24 hours
    - Weekly - Sunday - 12:00AM to 12:00 = 24 hours
    Coordinated UTC is not checked.
The business hours in software center are set to 5am to 10pm.
One would assume that it would auto install during the night since we have a big maintenance windows. I checked the ServiceWindowmanager.log and it does seem to show the various maitnenance windows.
    Here's what I've tried
    - If I make the deployment required, it will install right away regarless of maintenance windows.  However, i don't want to use this option because if the user logs in to other machine (e.g. boardroom computer), it will auto install this software.
    - If JohnDoe clicks install in Software center or application catalog, it works.  There's nothing wrong with the packages.  The issue seems to be related with the maintenance windows.
    - If I disable the maintenance windows, then it seems to work but only when I'm logged in.  It still does not work if I'm logged out.  It only kicks off the installation when I login if it's not during the business hour set in software center.
We need the maintenance windows since we don't want windows patching to occur during the day.
    - I searched and ran the report to ensure there's not another maintenance windows setup that would prevent this from installing.
    Our current workaround
To ensure users are using the latest version, we deploy the application required for a couple of days, then delete that deployment once we reach a high 90%.  The problem with that is if some computers are turned off, they would be using the older version
and it will never get upgraded unless the user installs it manually.
Has anyone encountered this?  Any other log files I should look at? Anything else I should verify ?  I know in SCCM 2012 R2, you can set the maintenance window to only apply this schedule to software update (patching) but that option doesn't seem
to be available in SCCM 2012 SP1.
Any help, suggestiong, I will take.  Thanks.

    - If I make the deployment required, it will install right away regarless of maintenance windows.  However, i don't want to use this option because if the user logs in to other machine (e.g. boardroom computer), it will auto install this software.
Re-check your deployment, specially the user experience:
If you've checked the box next to "Software installation", it will install after the deadline has passed and ignores maintenance windows. Change the deployment to required and uncheck that box and the software should be installed according to your
    maintenance windows.

  • Enhancement and new features available in AFS 6.0 in reference to AFS 5.0?

    Hi Experts,
Please can you explain what are the Enhancement and new features available in AFS 6.0 in reference to AFS 5.0

    Hi Mithun,
Following are the details you needed.

    Hi,
Let clear one thing that  the Equipement is work center for the PP and for Plant maintenance it is equipment only. When creating order or plan some maintenance work on that equipement which workcenter for the PP. In PP module ther is standard functionality Capacity planning of work center in Routing when your maintenance work is going on that equipement then work center capacity get reduced due to your maintenace work which will reflect in PP capacity planning. according that reduced capacity planning production order release.there is no std functinality that you can intimate the PP that your work center is in maintenance not use it. it will reflect in capacity planning of PP routing.According that reduced capacity PP plan the production scheduling.and Production work will get adjusted or deayed according available capicity of PP work center.
