Pricing determination not possible after updateing customer master data

Hi Gurus,
We are trying to set up CRM 7.0 standard sales scenario to make it to work. We picked a BP, a sold-to party which was loaded from ECC. Changed the role to sold-to party, and added the sales area data that we have in CRM. Added currency "CAD" to the "billing' tab as well. However, when we create a standard sales order (TA), we picked this BP as sold-to, and also picked the right product, we also made sure the pricing procedure determination config is done. However, system keeps giving the error "item category cannot be determined", and the "currency" and "pricing procedure" fields in the header section remain blank.
It seems to us that system needs some sort of refresh to "see" the new configuration data. Don't know why. I remember in other projects we did, we had to wait overnight to see some pricing/org. data updated.
Can someone advise how to fix it without having to wait till the next day?

About buffer problem - yes, organizational data must be refresh if they are changed. You can clear buffers with /$sync.
About your error "item category cannot be determined", i would say that you are missing the customazing. check settings under spro>crm>transactions>basic settings>define item category determination (and also 3 options before that one).

    Hey all,
    I have checked the field in the account group(OBD2) but its in optional status
    and also checked the country settings for US in the transaction code OY17 still the same error message, but when i tried checking the settings for a differnt company code's customer data base i can see that there is a number mentioned in the address tab under tax jurisdiction feild (beside time zone) which is not populating for this company code.
    so, do anyone know where exaclty we mention this number so that it populates in that field of address.

  • Updating customer master data after invocing

                       Is there any procedure that after the customer is INVOICED or after the completion of billing the customer master data field needs to be updated.

    For the above question, is it possible to create a extra feild in customer sales tab.
    sothat whenever the invoice is saved for bill to party,(the extra feild is for either sold tp party or bill tp party) that feild to going to update automatically.
    Is it possible to get trasaction data to be displayed in customer master data, like the one in material master data, where stock valuation is going to update in accounting 1 veiw.

  • XD01 assertion failed error while updating customer master data

    Hi Guys,
    This is an error when I use transaction XD01 to create customers accounts, If you have any ideas do let me and we'll try it....
    The error does not let an BDC or LSMW progress as well. There are also no recent sap notes on the same.
    The error is as follow
    ASSERTION_FAILED
    Short text
    The ASSERT condition was violated.
    What happened?
    In the running application program, the ASSERT statement recognized a
    situation that should not have occurred.
    The runtime error was triggered for one of these reasons:
    - For the checkpoint group specified with the ASSERT statement, the
    activation mode is set to "abort".
    - Via a system variant, the activation mode is globally set to "abort"
    for checkpoint groups in this system.
    - The activation mode is set to "abort" on program level.
    - The ASSERT statement is not assigned to any checkpoint group.
    What can you do?
    Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
    To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
    administrator.
    Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
    at and manage termination messages, and you can also
    keep them for a long time.
    Error analysis
    The following checkpoint group was used: "No checkpoint group specified"
    If in the ASSERT statement the addition FIELDS was used, you can find

    I have a company code CG01 with sales organization CTS0 and I want to transfer or extend all the customer master data to another company code CG03 with the sales organization CTS0
    The things that I have tried and not work
    using xd01, fd15, fd16, fd01, does not wok and gives the error as above
    The things that I have tried and it works
    Change the sales organization from CTS0 to CTS1 I am able to post the customer master data, using any of the above tcodes and it does not give any error, however the client wants to sales organization to remain CTS0
    So please give me any ideas as per your experience as this transfer of master data has to happen by Monday, else I'll be fried by my boss

When a sales is done through one sales organization, then will the  profit/loss be accounted in different company codes. Is it legally allowed in the country, where your customer is doing business?     I dont see any other method than removing the assignments in the backend and uploading the data. You can consult a Basis person to find the  change logs for the assignment table. In my opinion, removing the sales organization from a company code assignment just for loading a customer master data and then reassigning to original sales org is  a crooked method and/or not a professional method.

    As explained above, how the sales will be accounted  in different company codes (even if the system allows  to assign the same sales org to different company codes)?

  • Change in Sales Order/Service Order is updating customer master data

    Hello Experts,
    Here is the change happening in CUSTOMER MASTER RECORD for very few number of cases. This we are not able to replicate, since not able to find out, in which cases it is happening.
    Scenario:
    When the user tries to change address in customer screen (For eg., NAME2,NAME3 ,NAME4 etc.) of change transactions (VA02 OR IW32), the same change is being reflected or updated in the customer master record.
    Note : We tried again doing the change(For the already changed order) in change transactions (VA02 OR IW32) and found that the change was not updating customer master, this time.
    Hence, not able to replicate. Kindly suggest.
    Resolvable suggestion would be highly appreciable.

    I never heard of this before. Per standard, only when customer master address is changed (master data), the changes will reflect in the documents (transactional data). Your scenario reflects the other way round. Hence you may need to debug the program SAPMV45A and see any enhancement is causing this.

  • Navigatiomnal attribute is not possible to delete from master data?

    WHen I tried to delete the navagational attribute I am getting an erro like this.
    Characteristic Z5xyz: Master data has to be activated before conversion
    Message no. R7067
    Diagnosis
    The master data for characteristic Z5xyz  has to be converted, because an attribute has been deleted, or the time-dependency of an attribute has been changed. This process is possible, only if the master data for characteristic Z5xyz  is active. The  master data table /BIC/PZ5xyz contains only new or modified records, that have not yet been activated.
    System Response
    Characteristics Z5xyz  cannot be activated.
    Procedure
    Activate the master data for characteristic Z5xyz , before you activate the characteristic itself.

    Hi Vasu,
    You are tying to delete a table filed when the table contains data. For this you need to adjust the database table.
    But instead of doing all this you may follow a simpler method.
    Before  deleting that Characteristics you need to delete the Masterdata first.  Then delete the Characteristics from the attribute list and activate the Masterdata Object. Now reload the masterdata.

  • Pricing errors are not cleared after fixing the master data

    Hi All,
    Kindly go through the issue explained below.
    Pricing is determined properly in transaction level(Oppt) when the master data is correct. cool.  
    System shows pricing error (Mandatory condition 0PR0 is missing, Pricing could not be determined) when price(condition record) is not maintained in product. This is also fine.  Now the issue is, Pricing errors are not going away from Opportunity even after the master data(product) fixed with maintaining pricing.
    Scenario     :  Opportunity is saved with pricing errors. 
    Analysis     :  Price or/and Sales area are not maintained in Product that is maintained in Oppt.  That is why this error occurs.  So, we have maintained the Sales area/Price(condition record) in product. Now master data is corrected.
    Expected result: After maintaining the price/sales area in product, the errors should go off from the created Opportunities and pricing should be determined properly.
    Actual result: When we create a new opportunity with the same product, pricing is determined.  But the errors are not going away from the already created opportunity transactions.
    Please let me know if this scenario is not clear to understand.

    First check, whether you are getting same problem when creation of Master Data?
    Some times we have to Stop the MMC and Restart MMC once again.
    Still if you are getting same problem, please send the in which screen you got the problem and error description Performance Assistance screen also (double click on error message in the task bar to view Performance Assistance screen)

  • Mass update Customer Sale data error?

    I test mass to update customer master data--sale area data:  sale district ,sale office,sale group three fields,
    I input Tcode:MASS ,select KNA1 and excute, then select KNVV table and excute, input a customer
    number in data records to be changed tab and excute, and use the Select Fields command button to select
    sale district ,sale office,sale group three field to update.then input new values in top window, and select the
    three fields ,click the Carry out a mass change command button,copy the new values to the customer.
    and at the end click the Save command button,but the system show me an error screen. and cont't see the
    error long text.

  • Dunning could not update dunning level in customer master data!

    Dear experts,
    I have an issue-that after I ran F150, it did not update dunning level in customer master data. The customer have an overdue invoice and the number of days reached the one of the dunning level. And I did not set the ammount limitation.
    Could anyone tell me the reason?

    Hi Linda,
    You can block the items of a customer without blocking his account completely by allowing his account for dunning program.
    1. Allow the customer account for dunning
    2.Edit the dunning proposal and block the items individually to the customer and save.
    3.Now you can see the dunning notices for only unblocked items of the customer.

    The same story. No 3G after updating to 6.1.  Told my daughter temporarily not to do an update on her iPad with 6.01. We've exchanged SIMs. I inserted her SIM in my iPad - 3G appeared immediately. And my SIM in her iPad with ios 6.01 also WORKS FINE. We use the same provider - Megafon Moscow. After attempting to revert SIMs to original configuration, 3G disappeared on my iPad again. Don't know what's going on with SIM during the update to 6.1

  • BP not updating in Customer Master data KNA1

    Guys,
    I am creating a BP in CRM 7.0. Once the BP is saved & created successfully entry is present in all CRM tables as well as in the ECC side.
    But for few cases the Customer Master data Table KNA1, KNVV is not getting updated, i.e no value for the BP in KUNNR.
    Any idea as to what should I be checking to resolve this ? Plesae share the config details.
    Also do you know how the Customer Master data gets updated ? Is it from the BAdI's or the GenIL class for CL_CRM_BUIL for componenet BP ?
    I checked the methods of this dedicated GenIL class in hope to find an RFC for updating KNA1 but not successful. Is the RFC call made in BAdI ?
    Tough to replicate the scenario as wheneevr I do BP gets updated in SD. But sometimes in PROD it does not happen so.

    Put a breakpoint in FM COM_BUPA_MAIN_INBOUND_ISU in ECC system. Inside this FM it first create customer using FM  PI_BP_PROXY_BAPI_CUSTOMER at line 187.
    IS_CUSTOMER flag you can find in b-doc structure LS_BP_EXTERN-CRM_DATA-SALESCLASS-DATA-IS_CUSTOME.
    Before calling FM PI_BP_PROXY_BAPI_CUSTOMER system perfroms multiple checks if they all went succesfull then you have to debug inside FM PI_BP_PROXY_BAPI_CUSTOMER for finding out the root cause.

    Let let me tell the business scenario
    if you purchase something in supermarket, lifestyle etc
    based on the amount u buy (say 2000,3000) they will give u points
    say for 2000 - 5 points for 3000 - 10 points
    so the first field is card type ie - master card, golden card, silver card etc
    second field is card points - no. of points
    see in business scenario, say after getting some points at one stage , customer can redeeme the points he got on the whole
    ie he can get cash discount based on his points at certain stage
    now my 50 points will be redeemed and next time i will have 0 points
    now other fields are points redeemed, poiints in balance
    now i got this screen working in customer master
    data will be updated in ztable
    now in billing , we have to write a user exit through which , we can update this points based on the amount of billing
    ie updating customer master from billing user exit
    can anyone tell what exit i have to use, what logic i have to write , and how to create project and all

    Hi,
    User Exits are nothing but Customizing the SAP Standard prog. with out changing the exiting functionality.
    Option, prepared by SAP to extend delivered standard-programs without modification of the original program at the customer. For potential customer requirements, which are not part of the standard, SAP installs blank containers, which can be filled with own functionalities by the customer. Customer-Exits are administered by SAP .
    T-Codes are
    SMOD - To find a Enahancement/User Exits
    CMOD - To Create Enhancement/Project.
    Follow the steps
    1. Go to CMOD there you have to give the project name that project name should get from your Functional people, or if you know no problem.
    2. Click on Create button it will asks save it local or Package.
    3. In Enhancements it will give the All Exits Names then double click on your exit
    4. It will take you into a Functional Module nothing but your Exit.
    in that Exit you will find Include Program i.e. Eg: ZXQSMU01 where you are going to implement your logic.
    5. Double Click on the Include program it will asks create object click enter
    it will creates there you can write your logic save it local or any package and Activate it.
    6. You need not to pass any values from Functional module/Exit to Include program that import/export values automatically program will access, you don't bother directly you can access the import/export etc. values in the program.
    Finally your Exit and Project also Activate it. then check your requirement reached or not.
    Following Exit try it.
    1. V60F0001 - SD Billing plan (customer enhancement) diff. to billing
    2. V60A0001 -  Customer functions in the billing document
    3. V46H0001 - SD Customer functions for resource-related billing 
    4. V05I0001  -  User exits for billing index   ETC...
         May be try these you can get or goto SMOD press F4 it will give a popup window there short text bill execute then you will get a list of exits check those.

  • How to transfer Customers to GTS immedeately after creating Customer master

    Hi Folks,
    Is there a possibility to transfer Customers to GTS immediately after creating Customer master.
    I know /SAPSLL/DEBMAS_DISTRIBUTE_R3, but this report should run only at night,
    becaus performance...
    So the question is, right after creating the customer you can enter a sales order
    and in this situation the customer is not in GTS.
    We want to transfer the customer automatically right after(or while) creating the customer to GTS.
    Is there any way to obtain this?

    Hello Dieter,
    unfortunately it not possible to have it done immediately when you create/change a partner.
    These data changes are transferred to GTS via change pointers.
    You can schedule the change pointers report every 10 minutes but still it has to be done as bgr. job.
    At first Activate Change Pointers for Message Types (BD50)
    /SAPSLL/DEBMAS_SLL
    and Activate Change Pointers for Reduced Messages - Press create icon to create it. (BD53)
    /SAPSLL/DEBMAS_SLL
    Then schedule  RBDMIDOC for /SAPSLL/DEBMAS_SLL which send changes via IDoc.

    With this kind of bugs in every update, Apple will no more be THE Apple.
    There are bugs which have not been fixed even in the subsequent updates. SMSs going blank being one of them.

    I have since managed to sort mine out - when the phone was updated it wiped out the network settings. 
    I was able to reset them by manually putting the information in:
    Settings - General - Cellular - Cellular Data Network and then I put in the correct details for APN, username and Password in the relevant sections and now it works OK.
    Hopefully it will work for others too
