Change in Sales Order/Service Order is updating customer master data

Hello Experts,
Here is the change happening in CUSTOMER MASTER RECORD for very few number of cases. This we are not able to replicate, since not able to find out, in which cases it is happening.
Scenario:
When the user tries to change address in customer screen (For eg., NAME2,NAME3 ,NAME4 etc.) of change transactions (VA02 OR IW32), the same change is being reflected or updated in the customer master record.
Note : We tried again doing the change(For the already changed order) in change transactions (VA02 OR IW32) and found that the change was not updating customer master, this time.
Hence, not able to replicate. Kindly suggest.
Resolvable suggestion would be highly appreciable.
Regards
Mahesh

I never heard of this before. Per standard, only when customer master address is changed (master data), the changes will reflect in the documents (transactional data). Your scenario reflects the other way round. Hence you may need to debug the program SAPMV45A and see any enhancement is causing this.

  • Sales order block in customer master

    Hi  Gurus,
There is one requiremnet from client.
_Create one additional Sales Order Block which is maintained in the customer master and prevents order creation for these customers._
Can any one tell me where is sales order block in customer master.
    Regards,
    Ajoy

    Hi,
You can block the customer centrally or for the required sales areas using XD05. this is one option.
As i understand additional block at sales order for this customer means you can set the customer credit limit as say 1 $ assuming any of the material that is sold is above that, the system does the credit check and blocks the order. How do you want to deal with this block you can think in terms of credit management settings. This is config.
But if you want to set a block at the sales order dynamically for the required some customers, then you need to implement an user exit like, Userexit_save_document. the authorised users can go in VA02 and remove the block. But to identify in the user exit logic which customer you want to block you need to maintain some master at customer master level.
Anyways let me know if this idea helps you so that i can guide furhter.

    What happened?
In the running application program, the ASSERT statement recognized a

I have a company code CG01 with sales organization CTS0 and I want to transfer or extend all the customer master data to another company code CG03 with the sales organization CTS0
The things that I have tried and not work
using xd01, fd15, fd16, fd01, does not wok and gives the error as above
The things that I have tried and it works
Change the sales organization from CTS0 to CTS1 I am able to post the customer master data, using any of the above tcodes and it does not give any error, however the client wants to sales organization to remain CTS0
So please give me any ideas as per your experience as this transfer of master data has to happen by Monday, else I'll be fried by my boss

    > Firstly I am from SAP FI, so totally new to SAP SD

Then you are best person to explain the reason on why the same sales organization, can't be assigned to different company codes. When a sales is done through one sales organization, then will the  profit/loss be accounted in different company codes. Is it legally allowed in the country, where your customer is doing business? How you are going to develop the  balance sheet? Again being the FI person, you are best judge to provide the details to your customer and not a SD guy.
    >
    > 1) How did the system not give an error while putting the data inside CG02 with sales organisaton same as CST0 same as in company code CG01.
    >
I dont see any other method than removing the assignments in the backend and uploading the data. You can consult a Basis person to find the  change logs for the assignment table. In my opinion, removing the sales organization from a company code assignment just for loading a customer master data and then reassigning to original sales org is  a crooked method and/or not a professional method.
    >
    > 2) Since I have limited experience of SD, If I have to convince my client about the use of CTS1 sales organisation or a unique sales organisation against his argument that it worked for company code CG02, how should I do it.......
    >
As explained above, how the sales will be accounted  in different company codes (even if the system allows  to assign the same sales org to different company codes)?
I would recommend you to post this question in FI forum (after closing here) to check what are the legal implications for this scenario.

  • Sched Line On Sales Order Not Updated with Network Date

My client is using Assembly to Order (ETO) where the sales order creates the network and project. The client wants all project date changes reflected on the sales order since many prior custom programs have been developed to read sales order dates.  When the delivery date (network finish date) is moved out on the network (especially once any network activities are released) from the original requested delivery date on the sales order the scheduled line item is always updated correctly and the sales order dates match those on the project.  However, if the date is moved to any earlier date, the sales order scheduled date remains unchanged.  We are not using availability control since this is Engineer to Order.  Is there any configuration we are missing which is causing the sales order dates to not move inward but only outward to match the network?
Thanks for any direction you can provide.
    JB

Thank you for the quick response Amaresh,
Just for clarification-  the custom programs are only used to read dates from SD line items and feed them out to a portal for customers to see anticipated delivery dates.  They have no impact on date scheduling.  That said...we want to understand if this is normal SAP behavior that the date on the sales order is NOT moved earlier but is moved later when a network is involved or if we are missing some configuration settings.  I think this may be what you are saying but want to be sure we are on the same page.
Thanks again.  I really appreciate any assistance we may get as we are at a loss.
    Very Best Regards,
    JB

  • Payer is different in sales order than in customer master

    Hi Sap Gurus,
While I am creating a B1(Rebate credit memo requst) the payer is different from customer master.
e.g Suppose the payer in customer master is 100000 & sold to party is 100085 but in sales order the payer is getting changed to 100085.
But when I create a normal CR(credit memo request) in sales order it is showing the same payer as in customer master.
I have checked in VBO2 the rebate receipient, it is 100085.However when I changed the rebate receipient to 100000 all the partner funtions are getting changed to 100000 in sales order.
I also tried creating a B1 document with a customer other than 100085, in sales order the payer is same as in customer master.
I am facing problem when I try to raise B1 documnt type for this particular customer i.e 100085.
    Need your help badly.
    Regds....
    Sumit

In case, for your sold to party 100085, if you have assigned  payer as 100000,  in sales order the payer should be 100000.
If not check your settings as to why you are getting payer as 100085

  • Sales Order Error No customer master record exists for sold-to party

    Hi,
I am trying to create a sales order in IDES. Unfortunately it is showing me error: No Customer master exists for sold to party. Now I have already checked my assignments, combined sales area in vor1 and vor2. Checked PDP ( In PDP I have creates partner functions as z2, z5, z6, z7). I have also checked in XD02 and XD03 and in partner function tab it shows as maintained. Please help as I am still not able to create it.

    Dear Phanikumar,
I am not sure whether we can create a customer for a future date or not.
I might sound absurd but suggested this solution because I had faced a similar issue while I was working on a remotly supported IDES server which I was using for practice purpose.
Now the case was that, I had created some customers few days back, lets say on 01.03.2014 and today the administrator of the server changed the date & time of the system from 11.03.2014 to 11.03.2013 bymistake.
Hence when i was trying to create orders for a customer created on 01.03.2014 i was not able to do so as the system was throwing an error customer does not exist.
I am sorry if I have suggested something awkward or wrong, intention was to provide a solution.
Please correct if I have suggested someting wrong.
    Thanks,
    Kishor

  • Sales orders/ invoice and customer master URGENT!!!!!

how can i correct this problem...... customer is linked to the wrong customer master, customer is supposed to be a canadian customer but linked to US customer master? in terms of currency
Also when the Sales order and Invoice was created for this customer they were inoviced in US dollars and not in Canadian Dolllars how do i reverse change currency from US to Canadian?
Does this mean that the sales order has been linked to the wrong customer master?

    hI,
In this case if the invoice had not posted to A/C use vf11 and cancel invoice.and use vl09 and riverse pgi and delete the delivery and by going to VA02 delete order.
since u r saying that this customer falls under canadian customer while crweating CMR select A/C group of canadian customer then check all the critical fields of inco terms, payment terms, currency as per the standard and follow the subsequent sales process.
cross check the sold to party details weather invoice had made against proper sold to party or not?if not just cancel invoice and subsequent documents.
if the material had already dispached and you find there is any difference in total invoice value, create accordingly the needed Credit memo or debit memo with the proper reason.
later as a permenent solution mark this CMR for deletion and create new CMR with proper accounting group.

  • Pricing determination not possible after updateing customer master data

    Hi Gurus,
We are trying to set up CRM 7.0 standard sales scenario to make it to work. We picked a BP, a sold-to party which was loaded from ECC. Changed the role to sold-to party, and added the sales area data that we have in CRM. Added currency "CAD" to the "billing' tab as well. However, when we create a standard sales order (TA), we picked this BP as sold-to, and also picked the right product, we also made sure the pricing procedure determination config is done. However, system keeps giving the error "item category cannot be determined", and the "currency" and "pricing procedure" fields in the header section remain blank.
It seems to us that system needs some sort of refresh to "see" the new configuration data. Don't know why. I remember in other projects we did, we had to wait overnight to see some pricing/org. data updated.
Can someone advise how to fix it without having to wait till the next day?
    Many thanks!
    Jerry

About buffer problem - yes, organizational data must be refresh if they are changed. You can clear buffers with /$sync.
About your error "item category cannot be determined", i would say that you are missing the customazing. check settings under spro>crm>transactions>basic settings>define item category determination (and also 3 options before that one).

  • Report on changes to sales orders

    Hi Experts,
I am looking for a way to report on changes to sales orders, specifically the row shipping date and quantity.
I can see that the data is apparently in tables ADOC and ADO1 but am having trouble getting useful results. What I need is a report that, for sales orders only and for a date range, shows all changes to row quantities or row shipping dates. The type of output that would be useful is:
Change date  - document # - row# - Item code - old shipping date - new shipping date - old qty - new qty
filtered on change date for sales orders only. This seems beyond my preferred option of XL-Reporter and I'm getting lost in the history tables in creating a query.
    Best Regards
    Matthew

    Hi,
Without doing the query for you, history tables are linked as the "normal" table but with the addition of the LogInstance column. Then the UpdateDate column (from base table ie. ADOC) will tell you when it was changed.
Your query isn't an easy one... SInce you have to link an instance (ie. LogInstance = 1, which will be the original created object) to all the modified ones.

    Eric

  • Ship to party  name (despcription) change in Sales order

    The requirement is as follow:
After entering the Sold to party in a sales order, user enters the Ship to party code and would like change the name (description) of the ship to party as he likes in sales order. But without maintaining / modifying changes in partner functions/ customer master.  There is only one ship to party, so there will be no pop up to select the ship to party.
This is something like one time customer ...here they want the the ship to party name can be changed.
    With Regards,
    Amar

You should be able to change address in sales order and that change is only valid for this particular sales order. User should go to header partner function tab and select the ship to part and go to details and then change the address.
Be sure that your delivery note is reading ship to party address from sales order not from customer master otherwise you will get old address in delivery papers.

  • Interdependent Changes in Sales Orders (CRM -- R/3)

    Dear Sap gurus,
at my current customer they have implemented warranty complaints in SAP CRM.
This is a copy of the transaction type CRMC (service complaint)- Type leading transaction category = BUS2000120 (complaints).
Once the complaint has user status 'closed' this complaint is sent to R/3 for further processing.
At that moment no changes made in R/3 are replicated back to CRM.
Note 642944 explains that ou can make changes independent of the system in which you originally created the order. This is called scenario A (compared to scenarios X , Y and Z which are described in oss note 705200 (which are valid for older releases of CRM and R/3). <b>Since we are using CRM 5.0 and R/3 (release 4.7 and one is SAP ECC 6.0) we fall into validity for scenario A.</b>
You still have a bunch of other related OSS notes such as:
    - 630778: Scenario A: mutual change of sales documents
    - 620139: Scenario A: independent changes in sales documents- R/3
    - 720511: FAQ: Data exchange sales documents (CRM <-> R/3) II
    - 656224: FAQ: Sales documents data exchange (CRM>-> R/3)
    - 642269: Scenario A: mutual change of sales documents - CRM
    - 971782: New Badi for exchanging data from sales document lists
    - 541113: Data exchange scenario for orders (CRM-R/3)
-490932: Data exchange of sales transactions between CRM & R/3
    <u><b>My question is the following:</b></u>
Since they speak about sales orders/Sales documents etc all the time, I am wondering if all these notes also would apply in the case of CRM Complaints (CRMC with leading transaction category COMPLAINTS).
I would like to avoid investigating every single note, if in any case these would not apply to Complaints.
<b>(Just for the record: the reason why I ask is that for example Product proposal (in the cross selling context) is for example also not supported for Complaints in SAP CRM 5.0, as opposed to Sales orders and Quotations.)</b>
Thanks for a quick answer for those that already have had experience.
    davy

To start with I have to describe the actual scenario...(therefore I think Interdependent changes is not valid as Lorna explained already).
    <b>Scenario:</b>
We are using Complaint management in CRM 5.0. combined with SAP ECC 6.0.
Now we are not following the standard process flow which is described in:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm50/helpdata/en/ed/8816f949e90644ada2c210ba2316e0/content.htm
When Creating a Complaint (CRMC) and adding a unit (individual object/material) at header level, and the spare parts (on item level) we do certain validation checks
    for warranty validity etc.
On item level we can set the status on either "Accepted" or "rejected"(where we also indicate per item based on code groups if this should be
    - credit memo request
    - free of charge substitute delivery
After all item statuses are either Accepted or rejected, the user status on header level automatically changes to 'immediate settlement'.
When this is the case we can manually set the user status to closed on header level.
At this very moment replication takes place in the form that a Sales Order is created in R/3 with either a credit memo request and/or
a Free of charge delivery. (these have the same item category as in SAP CRM).
so far so good. But in this stage no manual changes are possible anymore in the SAP CRM complaint.
Changes can still be made on Sales order level in R/3 by adding for example another item (spare part).
    <b>My Question now is:</b>
Suppose a change is made on sales order level (this sales order has the same number as the complain which was originally created in SAP CRM), how can we
update the Complaint in SAP CRM?
I first was looking at delta replication for sales documents (described in notes 642944 and 705200) but this is not valid since the actual complaint is not
replicated to R/3 in the first place.
The only thing I could think of is making use of some action (profile)...which might for example check if the R/3 sales order with same document number is changed.
Anyone experience with setting up such a thing or perhaps has another suggestion?
    Thanks in advance
    davy

  • How to restrict header text changes in sales order level

    Dear Experts,
how to restrict header text changes in sales order level change mode
    thanks

    Hello Chandu,
how to restrict header text changes in sales order level change mode
In order to restrict changes to Sales Order Header Text, the appropriate User Exit would be USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_TVCOM_H. With the help of ABAPer, you can include the simple logic on the basis of Header Text type such that whenever any changes are incurred on the Sales Order header text, updates would be prevented.
Please try out this approach and let us know your latest observation on this issue.
