> Nview?...how do i disable that?
Well, I can tell you what I did but don't know whether it will help. I haven't encountered your problem but have just started playing with the correction brush.
Every time I install a new program, I look through the list of services and started tasks to see what I can turn off to free memory and/or because it doesn't actually provide a useful service. My notes for NVidia say I disabled four items that I thought I didn't need:
I disabled three started programs: NVCplDaemon, NVMediaCenter, and nwiz.exe from HKLM. I use the Startup Control Panel applet to disable the started programs, but there are other techniques including msconfig. I set the Set Nvidia Service to Manual (by Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Services).
I just googled NVCplDaemon and found a discussion that recommended what I did: http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=184662
I have a 7600 GT card.

  • Problem in setting up XCM Configuration for Local Server

    Hi
I have installed Local J2ee engine on my computer and have deployed E Commerce B2B B2C sca packages.
I am trying to complete the XCM configuration for my Local Engine. For below 4 links, I have done the configuration, creation of JCO, Shop, etc is done and have tested the JCO, the test is successful.   JCOs are pointing to ECC 6.0 which is development server and on development server the XCM configuration is working fine.
    http://<host>:<port>/b2b/admin/xcm/init.do
    http://<host>:<port>/b2c/admin/xcm/init.do
    http://<host>:<port>/isauseradm/admin/xcm/init.do
    http://<host>:<port>/shopadmin/admin/xcm/init.do
But below 2 links are not working and I am getting "Page can not be displayed" error.
    http://<host>:<port>/isauseradm/init.do
    http://<host>:<port>/shopadmin/init.do
I need to created 2 shops in http://<host>:<port>/shopadmin/init.do but since the page is not displaying I am not able to proceed and hence when I try to login to b2b b2c application
    http://<host>:<port>/b2b/init.do and http://<host>:<port>/b2c/ init.do , I am getting an error
"The shoplist read from buffer is empty",
I think this error can be resolved by creating 2 shops in http://<host>:<port>/shopadmin/init.do, but
    http://<host>:<port>/shopadmin/init.do itself in not displaying.
    Please can you help.
    Thanks

    Hi
I checked the mentioned Patch Levels, everything seems to be fine.
After I did few changes in JCOs and checked the XCM configuration throughly shopadmin URL (http://<host>:<port>/shopadmin/shopadmin/init.do) has started working.
Now I have maintained 2 shops and can see the B2B and B2C web portals fine.
But as soon as I select any material, it is giving error saying error in XCM configuration related to IPC.
could you pleaase help me out with this?
Also, as soon as I click on the B2B Login link, it dumps.
And useradmin URL  http://<host>:<port>/isauseradm/useradmin/init.do   is still giving "Page can not be displayed",
These problems are related to XCM configuration, but not sure where exactly and which configuration is missing. please can you suggest ? Any XCM configuration related document will also be helpful.

  • Problem with CCMS PI7.1 alert configuration for RWB Alert count

    Hi,
We have configured CCMS alert for PI7.1 RWB failure count. Alert is getting triggered only one time and after that no alerts. I can see the change in data but alert is not getting triggered. If I complete the alert then immediately in next run a new alert is generated with last reported data and then again there will be no alert going forward. Data is collected but no alert is triggered. Does anyone know the reason for this and how to fix it? Please help.
    Thanks,
    Kavitha Rajan.

    Hi Jayan,
Our PI alert configuration is fine. And also we did not choose multiple suppress method. Problem is with Solution Manager CCMS PI alert configuration for failed RWB count. After initil alert and then nomore alerts are triggered. If I complete the alert then again only first alert is triggered and again no alerts going forward. Please advice.
    Thanks,

  • Problems Oracle 9iDB and ASO Configuration  for Cybersafe

Oracle 9iDB installation on Solaris with ASO option
    Objective
My objective is to configure Oracle 9iDB, Release 9.0.1 ASO on Solaris for external authentication using Cybersafe ActiveTRUST, which is a Kerberos, based authentication product.
    Question
Getting ORA-12641: Authentication Service failed to initialize when trying to connect to Oracle 9iDB using sqlplus from a Oracle 9i Client machine, when ASO is configured for Cybersafe authentication on both Oracle 9iDB and Oracle 9i client
Can anyone help me setup Oracle 9iDB and Oracle 9i client for ASO using Cybersafe Authentication?
    Environment
    1. I have a Solaris box as my Oracle 9iDB server
    2. I have an NT Server as my Authentication server and Oracle 9i Client.
    Installation Procedure
I installed as per the steps given in the doc, Oracle Advanced Security Administrators Guide, Release 9.0.1
Authentication Server / Oracle Client setup (NT Server)
I installed on the NT Server the following
    1. CyberSafe ActiveTRUST 4.0 Security Server on the NT Server, which acts as an Authentication server.
    2. CyberSafe ActiveTRUST 4.0 Security Client
    3. Cybersafe Application Security Toolkit (GSS runtime libraries) as needed by Oracle ASO setup procedures.
    4. Oracle 9i Client, custom installations with ASO option.
Oracle 9iDB Server Setup (Solaris Server)
I installed on the Solaris Server the following
    1. CyberSafe ActiveTRUST 4.0 Security Client
    2. Cybersafe Application Security Toolkit (GSS runtime libraries)
    3. Oracle 9iDB server, custom installation, with ASO option selected.
Installation of all the above components is successful.
Note: Installation of Oracle 9iDB server with ASO option never prompted me to choose a Authentication mechanism like Cybersafe, or Kerberos or Radius etc..,
Note: Oracle 8.1.7 DB installation on NT actually prompted for Authentication mechanism selection.
    ASO Configuration:
I configured ASO on the Oracle server and client side as mentioned in chapter 5 of Oracle Advanced Security Administrators Guide, Release 9.0.1
I created an external user in Oracle, [email protected] as mentioned in http://download-uk.oracle.com/otndoc/oracle9i/901_doc/network.901/a90150/1004747
I configured the NT server, Oracle 9i client for ASO using Net8 Assistant and I have the sqlnet.ora file.
    ASO Problems:
Once I have configured both Oracle 9i client and 9iDB server for ASO, I am not able to log in to the database using sqlplus /@cybr.
It returns with an error ORA-12641, saying Authentication Services Failed to Initialize.
I could not get much help from questions posted on metalink on ORA-12641.
It looks like Solaris 9iDB could not recognize cybersafe even though, Cybersafe is listed as one of the installed adapters, when I ran # $ORACLE_HOME/bin/adapters. From this, it looks like Cybersafe adapter is linked to ASO.
Oracle Server is not able to initialize authentication services and call the authentication server at all.
Can anyone help me setup Oracle 9iDB and Oracle 9i client for ASO using Cybersafe Authentication?

The problem has been resolved after providing cn=orcladmin instead of orcladmin for the OID user admin user. Now the overall sso solution is working fine with ADF applications.

  • SCOM 2012 R2 Error The connector the module is configured for no longer exists

    Hi All,
The Microsoft Operations Manager Connector Framework Alert Forwarding module failed to mark an alert for forwarding because the connector the module is configured for no longer exists.
    Connector Id: 57a14deb-a74b-520e-ac32-ba8d340d112d

    Hi Mark,
You can try the following steps,
This is because we have deleted a connector that still had a live subscription associated with it.  We need to go and delete that subscription to clean this up.  The problem is – the connector is gone, so the subscription is no longer available
    in the UI.
Therefore – we will have to delete it manually.  This subscription (as all subscriptions) is kept in the “Notifications Internal Library” MP.  You need to export that MP to XML.  FIRST MAKE A BACKUP COPY OF THIS FILE IN CASE YOU MESS UP, then
open it for editing in Notepad, or your XML editor of choice.
All subscriptions in this MP are kept in the <Monitoring> <Rules> section.  To identify which connector subscription RULE is causing the problem – you can search for the connector ID, from the event 11502 above.  In my example – my connector
ID from this event is:  b7a64deb-f7ff-440e-bc30-d08d340dfe8d.
So – I search the XML for that string – and find b7a64deb-f7ff-440e-bc30-d08d340dfe8d in the <WriteActions> section of a specific <Rule>:
    <WriteActions>
      <WriteAction ID="WA" TypeID="SystemCenter!Microsoft.SystemCenter.ConnectorFrameworkAlertWriteAction">
        <ConnectorId>{b7a64deb-f7ff-440e-bc30-d08d340dfe8d}</ConnectorId>
      </WriteAction>
    </WriteActions>
Good – I have identified the problem.  Now – I need to do two things:
Find the rule ID – to identify the display string associated with it… then delete that display string.
    Delete the orphaned subscription rule.
So – I move up in the XML section of this rule – and I find my Rule ID.  (here is mine:)
    <Rule ID="ProductConnectorSubscription2850f8e3_afe7_4c36_84d2_ee258bd086eb"
I then search for the part above which I bolded in blue (yours will be different – search for your string)
What this finds – is the display string section of the XML – which maps this GUID ID to the common name that you gave the subscription.  (here is mine:)
    <DisplayString ElementID="ProductConnectorSubscription2850f8e3_afe7_4c36_84d2_ee258bd086eb">
      <Name>Process All New Alerts</Name>
    </DisplayString>
So – I need to DELETE this section from the XML…. just the section above, from my very specific <DisplayString ElementID="ProductConnectorSubscription2850f8e3<GUID> line, to the very next </DisplayString>.
Next – I need to delete the entire <rule> which contains the subscription we want to remove.  Mine will be from:
<Rule ID="ProductConnectorSubscription<GUID> line to the very next </Rule>
When you are happy – you can import this XML MP back into the management group.  It should import with no errors.  If you get an error – you made a mistake when editing the XML.  You can look on the RMS event log for the specific problem – there
will be a critical event there if it fails to import.

  • Doesn't play songs, "itunes is not configured for use with mac-formatted"??

Hi, new ipod shuffle. Seems to charge fine, all indicator lights function as expected. Everything looks fine in itunes. But it doesn't play songs. I have the most recent versions of itunes and the ipod software. Re-set, updated, and restored, nothing works. Even restored using the restore utility. Re-started computer. Checked for volume control. Won't play songs. Tried different file types. Songs play fine from itunes library and from the device's library within itunes. Tried different headphones. Hooked it up to computer speakers. Turning volume all the way up on device and speakers, heard some very faint rhythmic static, so my guess is the jack socket (or whatever you call it) is just messed up, but it seems weird that it can transfer power and data to the device but doesn't work for sound...
The only other issues that have come up is that the drive disappears in explorer once it syncs with itunes. Other people who've noticed this seem to have completely different problems so I don't think it's related.
Also, I have MacDrive on my computer. And when it starts up with the ipod plugged in, MacDrive offers the message "Itunes is not configured for use with Mac-formatted ipods." It offers to automatically reconfigure itunes so it can read mac-formatted ipods. Since I've restored the device, I don't see why formatting should be an issue so I say "no."
Should I try letting macdrive do its format thing? Should I try formatting the ipod disk on the My Computer menu? Or should I just email apple and tell them the jack's busted?
    Thanks for any thoughts!

Well, I have had my iPod for about 3 years, it is a 4th generation non-video 40 GB. One day it just stopped working, and now it does not play any songs. when I turn it on it makes this odd whirring sounds that computers make when they try really hard to do something. I cannot charge it, and it is not recognized by iTunes. Also when I turn it on, I get the apple.com/ipod/support (or whatever it is) screen. Needless to say, my warranty is expired, and so I cannot do anything for it except get a new battery, or buy a new one. Is there any way to fix this problem, or anyone out there who is experiencing the same thing?
I'm having the exact same problem with my wife's iPod. However it will play about 3 seconds of a song and go onto the next song.
If there is anyone out there that can help please do!

  • Problems configuring HP Laserjet M1213nf MFP with Mac via AirPrint

    Hello,
I have a HP Laserjet M1213nf MFP printer, connected to a Dlink DSL-2730U ADSL router. I am having problems configuring the printer with my Macbook running OSX Yosemite. I can see the printers name in nearby printers but when I try to add the printer, the mac gives me an error saying, "unable to communicate with the printer at this time". The network settings on the printer are configure for iPv4 and iPv6 addresses.
Previously, I had the ADSL DSL-2750U model router, and the printer was connected fine. I did not face any issues then. I have been facing problems since I changed my router so the problem should be in the router. I have the IP for the printer reserved in the DHCP reservation list on the router settings using the mac address of the printer.
Can someone please help me out here? Is there something I am probably missing.
    Rgds
    ~n~

I talked to the DLink Support. They asked me to disable an option called "MultiAP Isolation" and Voila, the printer is working fine. I can add it to all my devices on the wireless network. I looked up google. Apparently, this isolation feature present in some routers, prevent wifi clients to interact with other devices connected to the wired network and also with each other. Thats why only my desktop which was also connected wired was only able to access the printer and not the laptops connected wirelessly.
Problem solved. Thanks for all your help on this one.
    Cheers!

  • Mail Server: problem configuring dovecot with postifx and virtualhosts

    Hi all,
I'm am struggling trying to configure a mail server. I have a dedicated server running archlinux.
I want to setup a complete mail server, ie: web access (for that I installed roundcube) and being able to retrieve mails on any e-mail client.
I followed this guide, from the documentation but I've read that courier-imap is a lot more resources hungry than dovecot. As I could not have it working using the documentation, I tought I would use dovecot. The problem is that I am not able to configure it.
What I already have up and running: web server (nginx) with postfixadmin and roundcubemail, postfix, mysql.
Now, I want to be able to send and receive mails using dovecot. Could you guide me a little in order to replace courier-imap with dovecot, starting from this documentation? I already have my databases configured, a vmail user, ssl certificates and postifx configured for virtualhosts. Seems that the only thing missing is imap + smts thrue TLS.
    Thanks for any help.

The dovecot configuration files are very well commented with documentation and examples in /etc/dovecot/
As for TLS and SMTP Auth, this is the relevant part of my main.cf for postfix:
    # TLS Settings

  • How to configure for remote JMS client?

I have my own Java JMS test program for performance measurements.
I am using the JNDI and JMS provider functionality of the WebLogic 9.1 app-server but my test program is just pure JMS 1.02 sender/receiver clients - ie it is NOT part of, or deployed as a J2EE application.
              SINGLE MACHINE TEST
              ===================
In a single machine environment I was able to
              - configure a JMSServer
              - configure a JMSSystemModule
              - configure resources for ConnectionFactories and Queue and Topics
I then made what I believe to be a 'standalone' application module copied from some mysystemmodule-jms.xml and with that I somehow worked out how to deploy it using the weblogic.Deployer tool.
The deployment apparently set up the JNDI and my JMS client could gain access to the administered objects and do what it does.
              Everything works.
              TWO MACHINE TEST
              ================
I now have a second machine.
I want to put my JMS sender client on this new machine and I want the JMS server and JMS receiver client to be unchanged from the SINGLE MACHINE TEST.
But I really don't know quite how to proceed from here...
Do I need to install the WebLogic app-server on the sender machine or is the weblogic.jar all I need?
What is necessary configuration for JNDI access on the sender machine?
Can I in fact use my original SINGLE MACHINE server unchanged as I am hoping?
I don't think I want a "thin" client because I read that performance is impacted (and these are performance tests)
Remember this is NOT a J2EE application. There is no MDB; no client-container; no descriptors etc. Maybe that makes it more complicated - I don't know.
Sorry for such basic questions but if somebody can just point me to an appropriate example or tutorial it could save me days...
              Thankyou.

    Hi,
My problem is on similar lines. I have an applet based UI working on RMI/t3 protocol.
I am using weblogic 9.2 as my app server.
When my applet is executed on JRE 1.5x it works fine.
But when I use JRE1.4x it gives the following exception
              java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/management/InvalidAttributeValueException
              at weblogic.rmi.internal.Stub.<clinit>(Stub.java:21)

              at weblogic.rmi.internal.StubInfo.<clinit>(StubInfo.java:34)
              at java.lang.Class.forName0(Native Method)
I have analyzed the reason for this.
the class javax/management/InvalidAttributeValueException was included in java 1.5 and above. So JRE 1.4 does not have it.
In previous versions of weblogic this class was a part of their 'weblogic.jar' file and in weblogic 9.2 it is not a part of weblogic.jar file so when I am using JRE1.4 and weblogic 9.2 then it obviously does not find this class hence the above exception.
I tried to put this all together and made custom made client jar file incliding the necessary classes. I was able to get throght this exception only land up in following exception.

  • Dynamic configuration for the application

I'm a newbie and trying to evaluate JSF. I took part in a project with struts framework and i could say i don't like struts cause of some limitation and i suspect that JSF has the same limitation. First of all, there are JSP pages. I can't use JSP pages/templates stored somewhere else except web application. I'd like to store my templates in the database. This will give me ability to add/change/remove jsp page without redeploying war-archive. Yes, i can use exploded war-archive and add JSP pages straight into file system, but i don't like this way. Next problem is the configuration file like struts-config (faces-config, whatever). I have to write down all my navigation logic and beans mapping to this file and it's really annoying me. This kind of project requires dynamic configuration for the all web application and i'd like to add/change/remove pages, beans, actions without restarting/reconfiguring webapp. Today, I looked thru documentation and source code and found that FactoryFinder class could use my own classes but i'm not sure it will be enough for the dynamic configuration for the beans. In any case, it's a huge problem with the templates.
Right now i'm thinking about 1(one) JSP with XML/XSLT rendered HTML content and JSF for event/action handling. I mean, i'll use XSLT to render dynamic content and JSF for dispatching events. In that case i have to render form tag names in the HTML as JSF engine (i'm not sure if it possible). If it will take a lot of time to do this i'll have to switch a home-grown framework.
So, i really need advices how to implement this sort of dynamic behavior in the web application.
    regars,
    anton

A lot of what you're seeing are genuine limitations, but happily, JSF is so pluggable that you can overcome them.
JSPs are problematic in exactly the way you describe - unless your app server has support for pulling JSPs out of a database, etc., you're SOL. JSF, however, lets you use something other than JSPs by replacing the ViewHandler. That's a fair bit of work, but it is doable.
For navigation logic, you'd replace the NavigationHandler. As long as you're willing to write the code that can pull navigation rules from an external source, life is good.
For managed beans, all you need to replace is the VariableResolver - again, if you can pull the rules from an external source, you have full control.
This is all far from easy - and it's a huge amount of work for one person - but I'd imagine these pieces will become available from various sources. A core goal of JSF 1.0 was making the framework as a whole pluggable so that others can innovate on top of the framework.

I've got a problem with my HDD. My Arch usually boots like thunderbolt, but since 3-4 days it freezes for a while before login screen. So I checked dmesg and this is what I found:

You best bet at getting the most uncorrupted data out of that disk, is to stop using it until you get a new disk that is at least twice as big as that one. The reason is that when you get a new disk, you want to try to do a full disk image in one go and get as much data out as possible before more data corruption occurs or the disk stops working at all.
The twice as large requirement is because you can then take your time to extract the files you want from the image and have enough free space to store them. After that make a backup strategy if you don't have one yet.
    @drhill1
Has far as I know, both Current_Pending_Sector and Offline_Uncorrectable attributes start out at zero and 1) increase when there is a problem with a sector, 2) decrease when the problem is solved either by overwriting the affected sectors or when the sectors get reallocated thus decreasing the count, which should return to zero when there are no more sectors with problems. This implies that the count should never exceed the total number of user addressable sectors. Like I said, I have never seen any disk where those attributes didn't make sense, if those attributes weren't defined they wouldn't be reported I suppose.

  • Skipping request for user policy assignments due to agent configuration for authority

    Hello all,
    Symptoms:
The Configuration Manager only shows the following actions:
    Application Deployment Evaluation Cycle
Machine Policy Retrieval & Evaluation Cycle
    Software Updates Deployment Evaluation Cycle
User Policy Retrieval & Evaluation Cycle
In Software Center there are no applications visible. Also the default 'IT Organization' is shown instead of the 'real' name.
    The Confugration Manager:
shows in the tab 'General' the correct Management point. Connection type is 'currently intranet' (ok)
shows in the tab 'Site' the correct site code.
shows in the tab 'Components' all components as either 'installed' or 'enabled'. Only CCM Notification Agent shows 'Disabled'.
In SCCM 2012 under 'Client Settings' -> 'Default Settings' -> 'Client Policy' the setting 'Enable User policy on clients' has been enabled.
    Done so far (without success):
    Re-installed the MP
Run a query on the SCCM Database to check if there are any corrupt records. There are not.
    Installed version 5.00.7958.1000
    CCM Framework: 5.00.7958.1203
The computer is installed with a task sequence. There is a reboot after 'Setup Windows and ConfigMgr (CM2012 R2 CU1)'.
Installation command of the SCCM Client (during OSD deployment):
    SMSCACHEFLAGS=PERCENTDISKSPACE SMSCACHESIZE=10 SMSSLP=demo-sccm.demoforest.local SMSMP=demo-sccm.demoforest.local PATCH="%_SMSTSMDataPath%\OSD\TDS00020\KB2938441\configmgr2012ac-r2-kb2938441-i386.msp"

  • Identity Server has not been configured for this new user/group suffix

    Hi all
I am having a problem trying to configure the Directory Server (5.2) for Messaging Server.
    My configuration is as follows:
    SJES Q12005
    Server 1 - Directory Server 5.2
Server 1 - Access Manager (formerly Identity Server)
    Server 1 - Web Server 6.1
I have successfully installed the above and can login to Access Manager.
I next installed Calendar & Messengar Server on "Server 1". Upon running "comm_dssetup.pl" from /opt/SUNWcomds/sbin, I get the following error:
"Identity Server has not been configured for this new user/group suffix"
Copy and paste of what I entered:
    bash-2.05# perl comm_dssetup.pl
Welcome to the Directory Server preparation tool for
    Sun Java(tm) System communication services.
    (Version 6.3 Revision 1.0)
This tool prepares your directory server for use by the
communications services which include Messaging, Calendar and their components.
    The logfile is /var/tmp/dssetup_20050830165940.log.
Do you want to continue [y]:
Please enter the full path to the directory where the Sun ONE
    Directory Server was installed.
    Directory server root [var/opt/mps/serverroot] : /opt/mps/serverroot
Please select a directory server instance from the following list:
    [1] slapd-sunldap
Which instance do you want [1]:
Please enter the directory manager DN [cn=Directory Manager]: cn=DirMan
    Password:
    Detected DS version 5.2
Will this directory server be used for users/groups [Yes]:
    Please enter the Users/Groups base suffix [dc=samplecompany-dev,dc=co,dc=uk] : ou=infrastructure,o=sampletown,dc=samplecompany-dev,dc=co,dc=uk
There are 3 possible schema types:
1 - schema 1 for systems with iMS 5.x data
1.5 - schema 2 compatibility for systems with iMS 5.x data
that has been converted with commdirmig
2 - schema 2 native for systems using Identity Server
    Please enter the Schema Type (1, 1.5, 2) [1]: 2
Identity Server has not been configured for this new user/group suffix
You can opt to continue, but you will not be able to use
features that depend on Identity Server
Are you sure you want this schema type? [n]:
I have entered my user group suffix exactly as specified during the Access Manager install (hence I am able to login as "amadmin").

    Hi
    Thanks for your reply!
I did mis-type, my mistake - sorry about that.
If I dont over-ride the default it works, I've pretty much got the whole setup working now but I'm not particularly over the moon about the way the ldap tree is setup, I'd like finer granuality as we are going to attempt to get syncronization working with AD.
I have an idea about how I'd like to set up our Mail/Calendar/LDAP infrastructure the 2nd time around (I'm just testing at the mo) - so I might have a question or two for you if you dont mind taking a look when you have a minute?
    Thanks Jay
