Rebate set

Customer now doing rebate by manual and then create sales order periodically, now they want this to be auto setting.
In SD part how to customizing rebate?

Hi
You can create a rebate agreement for a particular customer by using following menu path:
SAP Menu ➢ Logistics ➢ Sales And Distribution ➢ Master Data ➢ Agreements ➢ Rebate Agreement ➢ Create (VBO1).
In the initial screen that appears, you provide the rebate agreement type and the organizational data for which you want to create a rebate agreement.

  • Difference between "Rebate Recipient" and "Customer" in Rebate Setting

While setting "Rebate Agreement" (TCode VBO1), for "Customer Rebate" (0003) Agreement Type, there is one "Rebate Recipient" and then when we go on to create the conditions, there is "Customer" for different rate etc.
My question- What is difference between the "Rebate Recipient" & the "Customer" (the one we enter while entering the conditions)?
Is it like "Payer" & "Sold to Party" partner function in Sales Order Processing eg for different "Sold to Party" there could be one "Payer", similarly for Rebate, for these different "Sold to Party", which would be like "Customer" in Rebate setting and the "Payer" in Sales Order will be like "Rebate Recipient" in Rebate Setting.?
    Thx

    Dear SR
    Rebate Recipient is the payer
As you know ,in rebate configuration , the payer's master record is to be activated which is first major setting in rebates
    Customer is sold to party
As you know ,the rebate process starts from sales order (your sales order pricing procedure will have rebate condition types but they are reflected in billing) and in a sales document the pricing conditions is taken from sold to party and the pricing condition records are taken from sold to party
If in case payer and sold to party are different
That means the input is taken from sold to party that is Customer (rebate calculations in pricing procedure ) and the out put is passed on to the payer that is Rebate Recipient (passing on rebate claim as credit notes)
That is two different identities  which the system needs to know
    Hence SAP has defined so
Even if the payer and sold to paty are same even then we need to give the same no(customer no ) in both the places

  • Rebate agreement scales

    Hi,
We in our company has implemented rebate agreements. We have monthly offtake rebate as one of the rebate agreement type. The scales are as
    0-50 nil
    51-100                 Rs. 375/MT
    101-200                Rs.425/MT
    201-500                Rs. 500/MT
    > 500                     Rs. 600/MT
Total billed qty for a month is 250 MT.
Currently it is calculating as 250MT*Rs.500 = Rs. 125000 as the rebate amount.
But the system should calculate as below
    first      50MT -    50MT*0 =  0
    second 50MT          50*375 =  18750
    for 100 MT         100*425 =42500
    last 50 MT            50*500 = 25000
    total rebate amount = Rs.86250
I tried with scale type D - graduated to-interval but it is not accepting this scale type.
Please help me to solve this problem.

    Hi,
Scales are ignored when calculating accruals, but will be calculated at rebate settlement.
You can check the manual on rebate set up and management that rithvika posted in another thread:

  • Recalculation of accruals

    HI
We have a direct rebate set up for a customer on our books . It accrued rebates in January thru April 2008 based on last year's rates. We need to know if it is possible for the system to recalculate these (jan-april) automatically based on the new rates, or if this will need to be done manually?
My querry is based on old direct rebate programs that have remaining  balances after the program has ended.  Is it systematically posible to reverse the rebate accrual only, and not the sales portion of the entry?
Also, if a program is accrued at the wrong rate over a period of time, is it possible to reverse the documents effected and re-do at the correct rate?  I believe this is part of the Resynching process that you mention below.

  • Set-up Vendor rebates in SAP

    Hi SAP Gurus,
    Good day!
Please help. How will I Set-up Vendor Rebates in SAP? Currently, we are getting rebates from our Vendors based from the total sales of an item or based from the total purchased amount/quantity in a given period. How will I incorporate this process in SAP?
From my research, I will have to use the idea of a "Subsequent Settlement". Any ideas on how will I start implementing this, what are the needed steps in customizing?
    Thank you!

  • New Rebate procedure set up steps

    Dear All,
I am working on setting up of new rebate procedure.
    1. I have done the info structure S136 setting to update synchronously in OMO1 transaction.
Now I am trying to populate the old billing documents in the info structure S136 using transaction OLI9, but is not working.
After I found out that first I need to execute OLI7 & OLI8 transactions to update the orders & deliveries in the table MCVSRFK.
After doing all these things when I execute OLI9 still the billing document is not updated in the info structure table S136.
Could you please guide me on the correct process so that I can use the new rebate procedure effectively.

  • Rebate process - Accruals to be set as scales

    Hi Experts,
I am facing problem when i set accruals.  In rebate, accruals gets calculated for settlement can i set scales for accruals? since i set scales for rates not for accurals.  for insatnce i have to give accruals based on scale values as mentioned below how to do it?
    10000 - 2%
    15000 - 3%
    20000 - 5%
This above mentioned persentage are accruals which has to be accrued based on the base values if my PR00 condition is 30000 accrual should be 5% how can i configure this. Please  let me know.
    Thanks & Regards,
    S.Nirmal

    hi,
this is to inform you that,
yes, you can set slabs for accurals also but you need to talk to your ABAPER and open the field called ACCURALS where first field is open and remaining are GRAYED - VBO2 if you press ladder icon in it.
Based on the base values : for this also you need to talk to an ABAPER for a altering of pricing routine in pricing procedure.
    please check and confirm.

  • Rebate agreement setting for new customer

I have a scenario, where business has a customer who had some sales and now that the cusotmer has changed his name and new customer is created for that. old customer has been set for deletion. now business wants to transfer the old customer sales data to new customer inorder to create the rebate agreements. as i understand rebate agrements are created based on customer and cannot be created for old customer and accru another customers sales. did any one came across such scenario, please give your suggestion.

    Hi
No it is not, it is accrued into the accruals account based on the accruals value you have defined in the condition record of the agreement.
    Example scale :
    scale value            Amount             Accruals
           0,00 EUR         5,000- %          7,000-
      100,00                   8,000-
    1.000,00                12,000-
If you create a real invoice for less than 100 Euro according to your current understanding the 5% rate would apply and if the invoice value was over 100 Euro the 8% rate would apply. In both cases the 7% accrual rate would apply with no consideration of the scale.
When you create rebate condition with scales, for the individual customer billing document, the system will take the first scale level / the accruals amount. Only during the final settlement, will the detailed scales condition be taken into consideration for the real customer payment.
Check this note: 392711 - Rebate conditions with scales
Most customer's would maintain their accruals amount as an average based on the business reality when using rebate scales.
    Hope it helps
    Kind regards
    Brian

  • Rebate condition in rebate agreement cannot be maintained (greyed out)

    Hi.
We have setup rebate processing in CRM 7.0.
We get our invoice to the billing due list and it fills then the extract. But we fail in setting up the rebate agreemnt in the webui.
Partner and material are entered. On the position (material) we try to add one of the conditions of the maintenance group we customized. Both condition types can be selected but none of them will work.
What happens: we click on "new" select the condition type and get then presented with the view but with all fields greyed out (as in display mode).
As there are a lot of obligatory fields we get up to 8 messages. After "fill in required entry fields" it says "maintain rebate material".
    Whatever that means.
The material we use is a finished product.
Has somebody ever seen this or some idea. Couldn't find oss messages on this.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Thorsten

    Hi Klaas,
If I remember well, in the standard price determination there is a conditional formula that only shows rebate conditions in the invoice, therefore you should not see rebate conditions in the sales order.
    That is standard functionality.
For a Customer I took out the formula condition in the pricing so he could actually see the rebate condition in the sales order, the reason was to had access to this information before end of month invoicing. The problem is that in case of changes in rebate agreement or in case of retrospective agreements the rebate condition is only updated in the invoice, not in the sales order.

  • How to stop sales orders from contracts from qualifying for Rebates.

We have set up rebate agreements for customers and they are working as expected.
Now our sales people want to start using contracts for some special deals for certain customers and products. But they DO NOT want these sales orders from these contracts to qualify for rebates.
Does anybody know how we can set this up or if it is at all possible?

    Hi Zoya,
I got one more idea and so try it out.If it sounds foolish please ignore.Instead of going for userexits its better you go for a different sales order type whenever you refer to a contract. And make sure you assign a different pricing procedure which does not contain the condition type BO03 at all.Ofcourse this new sales document should have a different document pricing procedure.

  • I'm going to set the printer on fire: A short essay

Thank you HP. Thank you for the usable service life of this C6180 all-in-one rage creation machine. And here I thought I was just buying a printer. Where to start? Maybe with the fact that every time I blink, the printer becomes magically Offline, like Merlin himself was here watching me with a mischievous attitude and a crooked little wand. And to switch the printer from Offline to Online? Impossible. There is no button for that. At least not for my feeble level of intelligence. If it exists, maybe I need a Masters degree in "Navigating Windows 7", because all the normal clicking functions provide absolutely ZERO assistance in making this printer Online again. Hooray for wireless bluetooth connectivity, I feel the wave of the uncomplicated, convenient future washing over me every time I scratch at my eyeballs to alleviate the pain when the C6180 decides to no longer be available for my printing needs. Oh, there's a fix. I can simply remove the device and reinstall it, which used to give me a modicum of satisfaction, like i was exercising the evil nymphs possessing my printer. But the thrill of that has long since faded and now, as I'm in a feverish rush to get somewhere and the only thing holding me back is the network discovering my "new" printer so I can reinstall it and print whatever insignificant drivel I might need for my obviously utterly unimportant and inconsequential endeavors, the effort to get this thing "Online" seems more like the thrill associated with disembowelment or maybe drowning in a shallow, shark infested pool. It's not that I particularly mind wasting 2 minutes at a time here and there to print directions or a rebate form... Oh no wait, that is it. That is what I hate. Being forced into repeating this painfully absurd process at the whim of a PRINTER.
Further, can someone explain this whole ink thing? Why when I've printed maybe a handful of documents, the illustrious C6180 happily informs me that ALL of my ink cartridges need to be replaced?? They expire? I'm sorry, ink expires? I have a 60 year old Ho-Ho in my kitchen that I could go pound down right now with no ill effect, but the printer ink expires within my lifetime? How am I suddenly responsible, with the purchase of this delightful piece of equipment, for using up all the ink in a prescribed amount of time?? I'm not a print shop. I don't design and sell wedding invitations. I'm just a guy. I print a paper for school here and there, one day I might feel exceptionally adventurous and maybe print a picture. And now, since I have become affiliated with this printer, HP has decided how much ink I should be using and in what time frame?? No, you'll say, HP just supplies the equipment, you use it at your discretion. Fine, fine, maybe that's it. Or maybe I have a HUGE problem with spending $80 on INK that's going to EXPIRE before I can USE IT!!
Another thing.. Why is it that my printer sounds like 4 Mack trucks and a freight train colliding with a dynamite factory every time it feels like doing some "printer preparation"? I was not aware that so much steel and hydraulics and steam powered anti-aircraft ammunition could be packaged in such a small, unassuming package, and then miraculously used to print something once in a while if the stars align and the printer ink is within it's tse tse fly lifetime and the gods of connectivity have deemed me worthy for the printer to be Online. And good grief, if I try to turn on the printer or wake it up and print something, I might be lucky if the C6180 stops doing it's own thing sometime in the next few hours and returns my phone call. 30 minutes of printer preparation for a 3 page paper? Maybe that's where all that ink is going.
And lastly, as my fury and rage begin to dissipate, I have only last question. Why, for the love of Pete, won't this thing print a BLACK AND WHITE page because the MAGENTA INK IS LOW??! Can someone please explain to me how the MAGENTA IN ANY WAY relates to the printing of a BLACK AND WHITE document?! What do I know about color? What do I really know about anything? Apparently the C6180 knows far better than I which inks (out of black and magenta) really go into printing something... black.. Maybe there's something to it, maybe there isn't, all I know is that I went to Staples yesterday and bought a $20 black ink cartridge so I could at least print in black and white, and now the printer sits there grinning at me, with my $20 in its gullet and satisfaction smeared all over its smug face. Look at it. "Cannot print" ever so happily displayed on its little screen. Orange exclamation point flashing away in cheeky mockery of my anguish. Just oozing self-satisfaction knowing that I'm writing all of this to vent, and the only replies I'm likely to see are to the tune of "Hey, welcome to the wonderful world of printers, buddy." Satisfaction that it has usurped another few precious minutes of my life. I could have been at the grocery store, or visiting my mom. Maybe I could have found love in these squandered moments. I could have worked toward becoming a better me, but instead I sat my rear end on this drum stool and hammered out a statement of hate and violent protest against this reprehensible HP creation. Even to get to this point, I had to create an HP something-or-other account to get to some place to type, because this seemed easier than setting myself up with the tech service (or any customer service) department.
I wash my hands of this. In the coming days I will decide whether to replace the remaining 5 ink cartridges in this machine or just buy a new one, because that might honestly be less expensive. Maybe I'd sell the 6180. Maybe I'd set it on fire. I know for sure I won't shoot it, that's too god for it. I want it to suffer...

That is priceless!!!  Thanks!  I sure needed a good laugh after spending/wasting hours & days trying to either get my c6280 to give up on its Ink System Failure fixation, or find a decent replacement.  Unfortunately I need the Smart Web Printing feature that I guess only HP has, or I'd try a different brand. And now even HP has very few models with that available.
My error msg is a little different from those previously stated, but close:  0xc18a0201.  Even tho there were frustrations with my c6280, I did like several of its unique features which are hard to find now under $100.  I hate how HP (& I suppose other brands also) are CONSTANTLY changing models & then of course ink cartridges.
Oh heavens, I've had the c6280 a whopping 2 1/2 years!   I'm sure they want us poor slobs to have to buy a new one every year & a day!  To say nothing of the exorbitant prices for ink.  And now if this one is really dead in the water, I have SIX unused #02 ink cartridges which I cannot return---I got them in a combo pack, & for some reason have wound up with THREE lite pink & THREE lite blue cartridges, while having to buy extras of the other colors, that ran out before the others!!!   Yeah, & what's with that not being able to print in BLACK if a color runs out????
Anyway I really loved your essay!   It's a classic!  And says it all!  I hate that we have to be 'slaves' to the electronic 'wonders'!!!

    Hi Experts ,
While i am running a customized transaction for vb7 that is rebate settlement , I have input field on agreement screen of payment method . Whenever , i put any value in that field and run the transaction , it gives me an error " Input values must be defined in Table T042Z. The value or
values ' T ' are not specified in this table. " whereas when i check the table T042Z for payment method values , the values i m entering are present there . I cannot get why its showing this error .
Could anyone plz help as its very urgent req ..
    Thanks in advance ..
    Ankit

    Ankit,
Set a breakpoint very early in the program's soruce code.  When you hit that breakpoint in the debugger, go to the menu bar and choose Breakpoints > Breakpoint at > Statement .  Enter the word MESSAGE into that pop-up window and continue the program's execution.
This will stop the debugger at all MESSAGE statements... Including the one that is generating your error.  You can then analyze the code just prior to that error.... and address the issue accordingly.

  • Rebate Agreements - Free Goods payment

    Hello,
We're currently using SAP Standard Rebate Agreement process.
Final Settellment is generating a credit memo request, then converted into a credit memo.
We hava a user request to stop using credit memo and to deliver free goods instead.
The only solution we have today is to follow accruals using the rebate agreement, then to reverse the accrual manually and to create a free good order seperately.
Is there any way to manage payment of rebate agreement with free good delivery.
Target is to keep an integrated process.
If someone already solved this type of request, we would be interested.
    thanks for your help
    best regards,

    Hi,
By raising credit memo, we are just creating a liability that we have to pay / adjust to client for the rebate discount due. Payment method can be set in agreement master and while posting credit memo to accounting, will be passed to accounting. This data can then be used by FI - AR team to make the payment.

  • Condition Type for Rebate

    Hello All
I am in the process of configuring the rebate processing in our system...this is my first experience...we are on ECC7.0...I am follwing the Rebate Processing configuration guide but I have a few questions...
    My requirement is the following
Order volume fully paid.... the following will apply
    <$500,000  credit percentage is 3%
    >500,000 and <  credit percentage is 3.75
    etc....
In the condition type configuration under control data I am confused of the calculation type to use and the condition category as well...I am using condition type Material Rebate, but have also added all the condition types related to Rebate...just in case.
There will be no manual payments or partial settlements.  The rebate is due at end of year of all fully paid items.
If there is shipments that are due but will not be during the annual term and it exceeds the lets say 1,000,000 since he credit percentage would be 6% in this case....after the review of the rebate agreement then the discount for  the following year will be set at the appropriate percentage and will begin at $1.
For example if the total sales during this term are 1.2 million the the credit percentage for the following year would be 6% for all the sales the following year beginning at $1...sales for the annual term of 1.2 million would equate to a rebate of 72,000 (6%).
Also, all material that is bought the customer receives a 3% discount on top of the above.
Will I need to also include condtion type groups???
    Your help is GREATLY appreciated!!!

Hi Eric and thanks for your reply ....
If the Rebate is for a certain customer and they are having multiple materials for the rebate and can have channel partners that will also be a ship to party and rebate applies....I am thinking I need to use the 0002 condition type?  Please confirm.
That is the one I have chosen so far....I do not see the rebate condtion type being being pulled through the sales order on the condition tab...it wants to keep pulling in the pricing condtion table for that rebate material....any advice as to what I may have missed....I did follow the config guide...as stated before this is my first experience wit hrebates...
I can understand the invoice showing the accruals but how would I do the scale to know if the customer reaches a certain amount their rebate percentages would be different based on the paid invoice sales...
up to 500,000  paid would be A 3 percent discount
Over 500,000 would be a 3.75 percent discount
This is also on top of the standard 3 percent discount they are given on the material as a customer discount.
    Please advise....your assistance is appreciated
