Require assistance in rectification of Stock master data

We entered the wrong prices of the opening Stock Finished goods now we need to rectify.
Instead of entering the cost prices of the Finished goods we entered the sales prices of finished goods hence to get the proper profit and loss we need to rectify the opeing prices , we have also tarted the GRR pls assist

Hi
This can be done in data manager of MDM.
You need to go to record mode.Non-lookup text and numeric fields[as in your case it is price] require typed/manual input and utilize the standard Windows edit control for data entry.
To edit a non-lookup text or numeric field type a new value, or press Enter to open the cell and edit or overwrite the current value then press Enter to close the cell.
According to data type you need to define the strategy and lucid explaination about the whole procedure you can find at
<a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_mdm550/helpdata/en/43/7c378160f46fc9e10000000a1553f6/content.htm">this URL</a>
Hope it will help you.

  • SAP BPC 7.5 SP 7 - Master Data Load Detected duplicate member ID

Hi Gurus I have  a requirement.
I am loading the Master data for Cost Center - initially while loading master data i didnot load hierarchy. Now I started to load the Master data with Hierarchy but when ever I tried vailidate the transformation file then it is throwing the "Detected Duplicate member "
Let me show you the transformation - what I wrote there
    *OPTIONS
    FORMAT = DELIMITED
    HEADER = YES
    DELIMITER = TAB
    *MAPPING
    ID=ID
    *CONVERSION
    ID=Master_Data_Conversion.xls
Conversion Master_Data_Conversion.xls has the following code this is to remove the spaces EXTERNALINTERNAL
    *js:%external%.toString().replace(/\s+/g,"")
Let me show you how I have selected the Data type - Master Data /text from NW BW Infoobject
    Selection of infoobject - 0costcenter
    Format - External Format
Set Selection - first Tab - Attribute I only wante the Control Area which is 1000 so - Control Area = 1000
2nd Tab - Hierarchy - Import Text node - yes Hierarchy node - xxxxxxx  Version - Empty Member ID - first member    Level - Blank
    3rd Tab Language - English
4th Tab Attribute list - Controling Area only is selected
Note: Let me tell you that when I am loading the Master data with out Hierarchy inthe Set Selection the loading is succesful but when I am doing it with the Hierarchy as mentioned in the 2nd Tab I am getting the error as following.
Master data (dealt by table level) has errors
    Detected duplicate member ID '201100'
Also, the Master data for Cost Center in the BW is a time dependent so it is having Valid to and Valid from fields which is not there to be delt in the BPC.
    Please Help

@Vinay let me tell you when the BW is having the master data which is time dependent then it will have this Duplicate member as we will have duplicate cost center names which are compounded with the Time, so BW will not show an error as there is compounding but BPC do not have that feature.
The was raised with SAP and they resolved this issue.
SAP Note 1641529 - Loading Master Data gets duplicate error in special case
When running Data Manager Package 'Loading Master Data from BW
InfoObjects', 'Duplicate Members are found' error may be reported in below
    case:
o In the source BW InfoObjects, there are master data that have
different lengths, and their IDs are all numeric characters. And
o If the members are sorted by their lengths first and then IDs gets
a different order compared with the one if they are sorted directly
by their IDs. Take member '122' and '1101' for instance. In BW,
they are sorted as [122, 1102]; if they are sorted directly by the
IDs, the order is [1102, 122]. And
o when running the package, the members are in both 'Attribute' and
'Hierarchy' selection, and the option Filter members by Attributes
    or Hierarchies is used. And
o Select 'External Format' when running the package.
    Other terms
DM, Loading Master Data from BW, Duplicate Members
    Reason and Prerequisites
    It's a program error.
    Solution
Please apply this note or upgrade to SP11.
I hope this will help you else let me know the entire requirements so that I can provide some kind of assistance.
Do check how the master data in ur BW is then how the hierarchy nodes and costcenter nodes are there?
    Good Luck

  • BP Master Data Maintainance

_Please provide me the solution for this Functional Requirement:_
    1. In BP Master data, where can we maintain the following:
    a. _Source of Data_(i.e. through lawyer,conference,Business trips,etc.,)
    b. Type - (i.e., Type of the Business Firm)
In that type- they need 4 different types of Firms, They are:
    - Regulated Authorized Firm
    - Regulated Authorized Market Institution
    - Non-DFSA Regulated
    - ASP's
    c. _Line of Business-_
    - Fund Management
    - Fund Registration- Public Fund
    - Fund Registration- Private Fund
    - Fund Administration
Please help me that, whether this is a standard SAP Functionality for having the above data, or else what other solution can you suggest.
    Thanks in Advance,

    You have 2 options:
    - use marketing attributes
    - use standard fields
    Standard fields are:
    - for Source of Data there is field Data origin in tab Control (in table but000 this is maintained in field source). In customazing you set alowed values for this field under IMG>Cross-Application Components>SAP Business Partner>Business Partner> Basic Settings>Data origin>Maintain data origin type
    - for Type there is field BP type in tab Control. In customazing you set alowed values for this field under IMG>Cross-Application Components>SAP Business Partner>Business Partner> Basic Settings>Business partner types>Define Business partner types
    - for Line of Business you can use for example field Legal form in tab Identification. In customazing you set alowed values for this field under IMG>Cross-Application Components>SAP Business Partner>Business Partner>Organizations>Maintain legal forms

These master data are already configured with standard settings and number ranges. If you require different number ranges coming for master datas, then you need to configure the number ranges and then assign them to the material type etc. or if you require customizing material type etc you need to configure that as well.
Otherwise just start creating the master data, no problem.

  • Technical Master Data Creation

    Hi Experts,
Is it possible if technical master data created partially. my client requirment is to create the tech master data after the payment confirmation.
    Please provide suggestions.
    Regards,
    Shahid

How can you receive a payment for an account if the account doesn't exist? Sometimes you have to talk to the client and explain why it cannot be done that way.
If it is just the technical master data that should not be created, then go ahead and create the business master data such as BP, and contract account. Post the charge document on the account and when the payment clears it, then create the technical master data.
If you cannot even create an account, then store everything in custom tables until the payment is received and then create everything upon confirmation. No other solution for it.

  • Time dependent business partner master data !!!

    Hi All,
In BI side i am loading master data for '0BPARTNER'.... lets assume there is one business partner 'DEVT01'...this business partner is assigned to a developer named 'Ankit'...after 3 months ankit finishes his developmet work....another developer comes and starts working using the same id i.e 'DEVT01'.... in the source system i changed the master data in tcode 'BP' for id 'DEVT01'  from 'ankit' to 'arun' i.e arun is the new developer but working on the same id....now when i load the master data for '0BPARTNER'..that earlier 'DEVT01' will now start showing in the report as arun .... but the end user the records of 3 months before when ankit has worked....the developer should be displayed as ankit ..... so in all the requirement is to load time dependent master data for 0BPARTNER.....is there any datasource which will give time dependent master data for '0BPARTNER'. ?

  • Possibility of combining exception broadcasting with master data bursting

    Hi Experts,
We have a scenario where it is required to combine exception broadcasting with master data bursting.
As per my understanding if you choose broadcast method as 'exception broadcasting', there is no option for choosing 'master data bursting'.
Am I missing something or Is there a workaround or some method to achieve the same.
    Thanks

  • Reading the master data for an info object

    hi experts,
I have a requirement, can i use the read master data option in transformations of a cube and store the text data related to material ??
    thanks and regards
    vijay
Edited by: pedamarla on Apr 17, 2009 12:25 PM

    Hello Vijay,
As suggested above, you wont be able to read master data text of an InfoObject in your transformation, if you need to achive this, in the transformation routine, for the InfoObject, where you need to feed the material text, you would need to read the text table of InfoObject 0MATERIAL.
Please let me know if you need any more information.

  • Look up at master data in  update routine

    Hi all,
I am loading from flat file in to an infocube. My transaction data comes in the format Subcategory, Area,Date, Sales qty,UOM. But my infocube should be filled with Category,Subcategory,Region,Area,Date,SalesQty,UOM. My business requirements want me to model Category, Subcategory,Region area as characteristics of dimension. ie I cannot model Category as navigational attribute of Subcategory and Region as navigational attribute of Area.
But I can get the master data file for Subcategory in Sucategory, Category format and Area in Area, Region format. So when I load the transaction data I can make a table lookup on these master data table and fill the required fields.
But the problem is I donot have much experince in ABAP routines.
Can any one help me with a sample start/update routine on how to do this.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Amith

    Amith,
Actually, you may everything do in a start routine of the URs (including lookup itself).
There is no need to declare internal table in a global part of routine and then read values in routines.
The code may look the following. (Don't have the system on hand. So, some syntax may require some modification.)
    TABLES: <Your Master Data Table>.
DATA: wa_temp TYPE DATA_PACKAGE_STRUCTURE OCCURS 0 WITH HEADER LINE,
wa_md TYPE <Your Master Data Table>  OCCURS 0 WITH HEADER LINE.
    SELECT * FROM <Your Master Data Table> INTO wa_md.
    SORT wa_md ASCENDING BY <Basic Char Key>.
    LOOP AT DATA_PACKAGE INTO wa_temp.
       READ TABLE wa_md WITH KEY <Basic Char Key> = wa_temp-<Basic Char Key>.
       wa_temp-<YourLookupIO> = wa_md-<YourLookupAttribute>.
       MODIFY DATA_PACKAGE FROM wa_temp.
    ENDLOOP.
    Best regards,

  • Master data data sources

    Hai,
    experts,
i have an doubt ,for master data v have any special cockpit is there as LO,
if som of the master data supporting delta means,
how the delata mechanism work for that data souces?
how the master data arrives from table to PSA?
take for example how the master data comes from 0mat_attr data souces to PSA?
and y v required the LSMW for import the master data to table?
plz explain am struggliing in this

    Hi Natarajan,
The ans to ur questions are below.
We do not have special cockpit for master data load such as LO Cockpit. We do not have the delta management concept, as in the case of LO extractors. In most cases, master data load is always taken as FULL Load.
However, we can go for a pseudo delta in many cases when the vol becomes huge.(Intervals can be used for an year in such cases) For e.g. master data load for Notification, Sales Order etc. For IOBJ 0MATERIAL as well, we use a FULL load.
LSMW is for migration of master data from legacy systems. If the source is R/3 only, then u will nt use LSMW. It may be required, if you need to get some historical data from a legacy system to BW and need to store in the same IOBJ.
    Hpe this helps,
    VA

  • Master data to be input ready usiing a query

    Dear All,
I have a requirement that user needs to input master data values (like division, fiscalyear) as we input key figures in input ready query.
Actually to realize this , I have created division and fiscal year as key figures and made them input ready query. We are doing this , because we need to  log the user inputs and after that to run the report based on the selections. so for logging purposes i am using input ready query to save the data in a infocube and later read them to run a process chain .
Will it has any  risk involved ...  My user do not want to input data using  flat file.
please suggest me if there is any other way to work on this.

You are using DSO as staging to your master data ?
What type of DSO ? You would not want to use a normal DSO with SID generation, as you would not report out of it.
